This equivalent is less than four months old. I had two out of three cameras not working. I called amp customer service line and they transferred me to tech support. They couldn t get all the cameras working properly and advised me there would be a service charge to fix them. This system they sold me was suppose to have an equipment warranty. They told me there was no warranty and I d be responsible for the labor and service call. So I WOULDNT USE THESE COMPANY!!!

What started as a problem in 2017 with a door-to-door salesman selling us an unadvertised 60-Month contract that cost $1,800 to cancel (or whatever you have left on your contract) is still a problem today as I tried to cancel and my options were either the $1,800 or around $1,400 left on my contract...what savings!
Stay away from the sketchy door-to-door salesman just trying to give you the "good deals"
And be warned that these contracts AUTOMATICALLY renew for 12 months if you don't give them a 30 day notice. I already sent in my notice for 2021...because there's no way I could afford to pay $1,400 to cancel something I don't even want. I could not recommend this to anyone any less.
There is an option to get someone else to take over your contract for you, but why would I give my friends and family a commitment that I didn't even want.
The gentleman that came to our house was kind and professional. He informed us of ways our existing security provider was not fully protecting our home. He offered solutions so we switched to Guardian. We've been very pleased with their service ever since.
This company is amazing. The equipment is top of the line. I love all the new smart options. Those new doorbell cameras are incredible. My favorite thing is probably the Yale door lock. When you have a roommate who forgets to lock the door constantly it's nice being able to open my AMP Smart app and lock my door from work.
I wish to say something about Ester. I have spoken to her several times and she is amazing. A few times, I'm afraid that I was less than happy but she has always been very kind, helpful and cheerful. I can't say how nice she has always been. She will always go the extra mile and does it with an amazing attitude. She is always patient, helpful and very pleasant. I wish we could clone her and make her the constant in all businesses. The world would be a better place but you are lucky enough to have her.
The last tech that came out to resolve my issues with the system was outstanding as well but sadly. I don't remember his name but he was fantastic and did an outstanding job.
Levi was extremely friendly and professional. His presentation was informative and interesting. The technician, Chris, was friendly, quick with the install and thorough ensuring my wife and I were up to speed with our new system before finishing. Zero issues with Amp Smart. Very happy and secure.

The customer service I received today was excellent. My customer service agent was Maddy. She was extremely nice and polite and easy to talk to. She understood all my concerns and helped me fix the problem with ease. I wasn t on hold very long and Maddy seemed genuinely interested in helping me out.

Going around door to door without a mask during a pandemic. They were relentless (I understand salesmen have to be to make a sale) but even after asking them to leave they wouldn t stop trying to sell me on this product which seems like a rip off. They tried to go into my house to go over things (again this is during a pandemic) there s lots of elderly in my neighborhood I hope none of them get sick from these guys.

To be fair this is a great system and company. Great service and a great product. With that being said ABSOLUTELY do not talk to any sales representatives. They will lie just to get your money. They use things like test house, no contracts, no installation or product fees. Do not trust. I was lied to because I said I would not say yes if there were any contracts like their competitors. Now I am bound by a 60 month...yea 60 month contract. I would not recommend this company to anyone. At least their competitors are honest. Even if they may not get the sale. The sales representatives name is Cody Watts. DO NOT TRUST!

I just switched over from a security company I d been with for 6 years to AMP Security. Jason Wellington was very helpful with describing the AMP Smart equipment and features. He was also super helpful in talking through concerns I had with switching to a new company. He was very patient and answered all of my many questions! The technician Blake was dedicated to making sure I was all set up through the process. He explained how to use everything and answered all of my questions to make me feel comfortable with using the equipment. I feel like I can reach out to either of them in the future too! I recommend this company and their products. Their equipment is top notch and the customer service is great. So far I m a super satisfied customer!

We were in need of an alarm system and we were contacted by Gary at the right time. Gary was very proffesional and addressed all of our questions and concerns. He spent over an hour with us just to make sure we felt comfortable with our decision. We really wanted our daughter's window protected (she sleeps downstairs) Gary originally said we would have to pay for it that but than he called his manager and was able to talk him into giving us the window sensor for free. We love our system and the ability to control the lights and our front door from our phone. What a peace of mind it is to have an AMP Smart system. Thank you Gary and thank you AMP Smart for providing such a great product!
Avery was very professional with his presentation of AMP Smart. He got me set up with everything I wanted after we discussed my home security needs. He also didn't push anything that I didn't want or make me feel like I "needed" everything. He was helpful throughout the entire process and answered all questions I had. I've been with AMP since May 25 and am very happy with how everything is going and am pleased with the service.
Horrible company. Do NOT let them try to sell you this security system. First they state as long as I keep their sign in my lawn there would be no cost to me. As she goes along writing contract, she zeroes out all the cost of equipment. Then she said if I apply for credit card my monthly cost would go from $99 a month to $63 a month. I said oh so it's a credit card I can cut up when I get it in mail. She said yes. Well they conned me into applying for a loan. Now I have over a 2,000 dollar loan I have to pay. When I got my first bill from GreenSky is when I realized I applied for a loan. The other reason I did not know it was a loan is because she said as long as I kept the sign in my lawn then after a few years the monthly fee would drop in half as a thank you. Describing it as if I help advertise then I get a discount in the future. I was confused because at first this was suppose to be at no cost to me. I also had to pay an installation fee of $129. So I thought the con was up with that, until again, I got my bill for the loan I didnt know I applied for. Well then on August 15th my security system failed twice in 45 mins (while I was at work). Because of that I received a letter from police department I owe $100 fee for responding to two false alarm reports. Also a letter stating I need a permit to even have the security system. I was never told that, but I do see in it pamphlet now. I called Amp smart and they only offered for someone to come out and fix the failed system. I do NOT trust the system. If I want out of contract I would have to pay 1,200 dollars and would still owe for the loan. When I called police department regarding permit and issues with service they said I was there 3rd call today about this service. Highly recommend to go somewhere else for a security system. I'm so embarrassed I was conned, especially into the loan. I have great credit and did not need to take out a loan or need this hassle.

I think this company is awful they have no tech support every time i need someone to come to the house for ussue they never make their appointment time or we have to reschedule and every time it is a two weeks down the road they do not have tech in this area their equipment is always in need of servicing and they want you to service it with them on the phone their saleman took adavatage if us because we are all disabled i am visually impaired and my wife is physically disabled and my daughter is mentally disabled if i could get out of my contract i would in a heart beat they have not customer service in this area they want you to do the repairs with you on the phone with you do not get a security pacage from thi company if you fo you will be disipointed and un satified you do not get your moneys worth with them they let me out of my contract they contacted me with in 15 minutes of my orginal post she went over my issues and tried to address issues but finally she let me out contract she agree with some issues but could not do any about some like scheduling and two werk service appointment bottom line is i no longer need to put up with their inept tech support at least in the albany ny area when you need on site techs she was verry nice and accomadating

If there was 10 stars to grade Dana on, she would deserve everyone. There is something to be said about younger people teaching us old folks new things
I am not sure how anybody can be happy with this company. My system is not working for over 4 months now. Many many calls and emails. We are nowhere. Now nobody calls. All we were told is that if we cancel we have to pay the rest of the contract off. We are paying every month. No clue for what!!!

We have an issue with security and needed to add some things and had an appointment scheduled for a week out. We called and spoke with Rachel and told her the issues we were having and asked if there was a closer date for someone to come out. We are dealing with major security problems and have children so we need to protect everything here. She spoke with a tech in our area and he agreed to come tonight (same night as we spoke to her) to help us out. We are so grateful and appreciate her hard work and understanding as well as the tech who's coming to help. This situation we are going through is terrifying and so upsetting and they both are trying to ease some fears and hellp us protect our family. Thank you guys so much.. Hey everyone! Terry Martin from AMP smart stopped by today and set us up with a very simple and sophisticated smart home security system. The doorbell camera that rings on your phone is really cool and the fact that you can watch the cameras and control the entire system from the app is amazing. Terry was very personable and the technician Ron installed the system the same day. They were both very professional! I definitely recommend talking to Terry Martin. We feel more secure now and the fire protection is perfect for our home when we are away! We recommend AMP Smart!

Sales men really know how to sell you a product with out telling you the catch until you ve gone through a ton of paperwork to get the products. They just want to give you good service at the beginning to get your money and then never give you service again. There is no reason to buy this product when you can get the same products from Lowe s but with out the monthly fee. My husband and I have been trying to get a hold of them for months and they have no intention of getting back to us. Strongly suggest looking at other options of security for your home.

The genuine concern and problem solving Broxson provided as a coustomer service rep resolved a long standing issue with our outdated alarm equipment. His attitude assures us that we will re-connwcting with AMP in the near future.
Was told from a representative that I was going to be able to cancel this service at any time when my home became a show home for the amp service in our neighborhood. I have been with them for a year and am moving and called to cancel and was told a member would call me back in 1-3 business days. About 6 or 7 days later I decided to call again and finally got a hold of the people that cancel the accounts. And then was told I am now having to pay the 1800 cancellation fee or continue my service pay for them to move it with a 200 fee to move and then continue my service for 4 more years. I just would have really looked at the contract instead of just listening to this representative. Just added more stress to my move.
I would have never done this if I was not assured many times that I would not have a fee and could cancel. I will be canceling the minute this is done and will not work with them again. Please make sure you read everything and listen to everything because the representative are just trying to suck you in and you will be also looking at a big pay day for them.

It's not everyday that someone has the patience or empathy to shape a not-so-great experience into a positive one. Recently, I briefly shared that I had a troubling experience with AMP. I received an online response from their Director of Customer Service (Jason) asking me to contact him. Initially I assumed this was a generic follow up, but responded to the request anyhow. To my surprise, I received a prompt response and we set up a call to discuss my complaint. During the call it was apparent that Jason was listening to me for understanding, and was focused on making it right until we reached resolution. It seemed as if he fully understood that understanding and serving customers IS the best sales pitch one can have. We talked about some of the changes and corrective actions AMP has implemented to prevent the problem I was having, and he welcomed additional feedback. He was thorough, and AMP is absolutely a better company with him heading up customer service. Of all of the customer service experiences I've had, this one surely stands out for the right reasons.
