This whole experience was a scam. First thing was the day of the salesman. He came to house and showed all these options and told us about things we should use and why. After that I was given a very good price and I asked if we could set up an installation date. Just a coincidence the installer was right around the corner and could be there in 30 minutes. That's just so you don't have any time to realize you are getting screwed. The installer finished very quickly. I looked around before he left and noticed that only about half of the things that were supposed to be there were even there. He got in touch with salesman and gave me the phone, he told me that after we picked out everything he saw reasons why I shouldn't use them so he just left them off and figured I would understand. One of the things was a motion detector. Why should I have it if I have a ceiling fan and a dog, they will just make the alarm go off all the time. Another was the camera, I don't need that because of the dog also. What do i need the alarm for? Then he said he had to call and see if they would still be able to do it for the same price, I told him that was the agreement that I signed. He went outside and probably called his friends, then came back in and said they really didn't want to because it should have been alot more money, but they will just because they needed to advertise themselves in that area.he gave me his phone number just in case. I tried calling it like a month after. Wrong number! I just moved and had to use them here because of the contract. It took a month and a half for an installation. Even a repair can take up to a month. But you keep paying even when it doesn't work. Today I received paperwork in the mail and I had to sign for how much time is left on the contract. They have a spot on their highlighted to make sure you sign that says you have to cancel the contract before its over or it will turn over into another five year contract. I didn't sign it, but I did call to find out more. Even if you don't sign it you will be put into another five year contract and they don't even send you anything to alert you or sign. You are just screwed for another five years. Not only is this the worst alarm company I have ever dealt with, it is just the worst company. I cannot believe how they even get away with all this stuff. I wish they didn't install it the same day then I would have had time to realize that I need to check this company out,and I would have seen over 170 bad reviews and only 77 good ones. Had to be 77 employees I would imagine. There is just nothing good to say about them!!!

DO NOT SIGN THEIR CONTRACT. It's modern-day, legal SCAM. They use high pressure, door-to-door sales people to make promises and have you sign into a 5-year (60 month) contract that has you paying $69/mo. that you can only get out of if you pay an early termination fee of $1,800. I've talked with customer service and loyalty department (BS that they bounce you between the two) and they have offered me ZERO OPTIONS for modification of the agreement (i.e. modified payment plan, amendment options) even though the service was not as promised by the original sales representative.

Go with ADT. At Amp Smart you are being cheated and getting royally screwed over.

Thank you so much for sending Joe Miller to help me get my amp smart doorbell alarm system working. He explained what might be causing the problem and went about fixing it. Then he helped me find an easy way to respond to the doorbell ringing and fix the doorbell to ring inside the house. Joe had come to help I believe when I had it originally installed and he is always competent, efficient, friendly and kind. Anyone would be glad to have him as an employee but I am glad to be on the receiving end of his ability to fix a problem

The equipment is amazing!! The rep was wonderful and Jon the Tech did a amazing job with the install! My favorite part of the system is the Geo fencing. I would recommend this system to everybody. Thank you Amp Smart!

After leaving a bad review amps team reached out to me about all the issues I was having and apologized for the issues I was having and they figured out how to make everything right. When I first got the system customer service was good when I called back maybe they were just having an off day. But in the end they made it right.

The people who work in customer service are top no...

The people who work in customer service are top notch. Since it is a smaller company you do run into a few headaches when trying to reach someone or trying to get a call back in a timely manner. Personally, I think they do very well with connecting with their customers. Megan, Maddie, and Jacob have been extremely nice, very informative, and very helpful when it comes to solving your problem. The techs we've had were very professional and walked us through the system with ease and clear instructions. I would recommend giving them a chance when shopping for a security system.

I am very satisfied with my new AMP Smart security setup. Dylan was well informed not only with the working of the system, as he should, but also with my neighbor hood. Dylan took time not in the selling of the system but asking questions to see what best serve my need of the system. The follow up visit really tip the scale to 5 star rating, because even after all the information the next morning I had (one more thing)

I was told that I would have a 1 year contract and...

I was told that I would have a 1 year contract and once the year was up I wanted to switch but they told me at that time I had a 3-year contract. You cannot get out of these contracts, ever and I'm not happy with their service. Something went wrong with the smoke detector that's hooked to my alarm system somehow and she wanted me to go out and buy all this stuff to try to fix it. I told her, this is your equipment you fix it, not me, you. They finally sent somebody out to fix it. When I bought the house there was a different alarm company and I wished I would have stayed with the company that was already set up instead of being pressured to switch to this company. I don't like their service.

Maddie was very knowledgeable about her product. She was very personable and friendly. No pressure and she articulated the importance of the AMP Smart monitoring system. She explained completely our obligations and responsibilities. From my perspective, Don's, that is, if Maddie hadn't been so smoking hot ( it was in the 90's when she knocked ) and sweet as sugar, I may not have been interested. In all seriousness, though, Maddie could not have been more articulate and clear in her presentation. Definitely a keeper. Props to you, Maddie!

New customer to Amp and was not there during the install so I had a lot of questions. Called tech support and spoke with Luis. He was very patient and friendly throughout the whole call. Answered all my questions and gave great directions to solve my concerns. Half way through the call we got disconnected but I did not want to call back in and wait to be connected to someone else and then go through my concerns again. But within minutes he called me back and finished our conversation. Great experience for the first call.

This was a great experience! The sales rep answered all my questions and really gave me peace of mind. The technician came and installed everything quickly, cleaned up after himself, and made sure I knew how to use the system before he left. Both the sales rep and the technician were professional, knowledgeable, and very nice!

They were able to work around my difficult schedule to make an appointment with s technician and really put in the time and energy to make sure we were taken care of. Excellent customer service is rare but they have it in spades!

Just had my house set up with a new alarm system with AMP Security a few weeks ago. Matt did a 100% excellent job and I absolutely love it! My new doorbell camera is amazing and I love the sense of security i get from the whole system. Cant wait to refer my friends and family!

I have to say AMP has surpassed my expectations. Their customer service is always top notch. They are always thorough and always friendly. I just had one rep named Allie and she was so wonderful to talk to. We got all the tests run and it was all done in a friendly non formal manner. The price is right, the tech is great and the customer service is the best. I can t imagine how they could improve it!

Very disappointed with this company! My grandmother signed up with this company over a year ago and it has been nothing but a joke! The system has never worked, they installed the doorbell and ruined her wall, put the doorbell partially behind a wall so there's not much of a view. After SEVERAL back and forth calls with customer service, as many times as they have tried to "fix" the problems, it continues to happen. I could go on with more problems than mentioned. Customer service has been rude. Trying to scam her into signing ANOTHER 3 year contract. They take advantage of elderly people! I would not recommend this service to anyone! Trying to get out of your contract? Expect to pay an arm and a leg to get out of it or have a death certificate ready to show them! Ridiculous! Better business bureau here I come!

My dad already had a security system set up in our house for a 2 year contract but a salesman came and offered my dad this new security system. My parents said we didn t need one because we already had one set up but the man wouldn t leave insisting this security system was an improved security system. So he called two others from the company to set up a camera on a doorbell and at this point we were upset because they made holes around the front door trying to set up this one camera and said it was going to be a free trial and the salesman said he would return in a few weeks to see how we liked it. He supposedly called the other company we had actually set up with and said they were able to transfer the contact and that we would only have this security system for the remaining 8-9 months. My dad thought it was sketchy, so he was handed the phone and they were able to scam him into agreeing to this and the salesman promised there would not be any hidden fees or additional costs to what they were offering. After two weeks the security system would go off randomly and wake us in the night, so we had to constantly turn it off. After about two weeks my we were looking through the bank statements and realized the cost for the system had gone up, so we called to see what was going on and apparently we were now on a three year contract. Their only options were to continue paying or get out of the contract by paying over a thousand dollars. My parents never signed any paper work and when we requested a copy of said contract they said they would mail it and they sent a contract without anyone s signature. They never even bothered to show their face again even after we needed help with the camera they had installed. We were just left with holes around the front door and a bill that we were having trouble paying.

Dylan and Alex were great! They were quick and efficient and gave us same day service. We really like the simplicity of the system and that we can view it from our phones. We are really happy Dylan was the representative. He kept things simple and was very educated on the system. We definitely recommend AMP Smart.

This is a review on our installation and tech performance. Travis was our tech installer and did a great job. He was patient as we asked a LOT of questions regarding the system and some of the (negative) reviews we had seen posted. He alleviated a lot of concerns with very honest and thorough answers. A couple other techs came at different points and helped with things and they were all professional and nice. And cleaned up after themselves! He helped us get going in our app and made sure things were all working and adjusted the aim of cameras so that we had the views we wanted. We have yet to see how the system works long term, but have high hopes based on our encounters so far.

On August 28, 2014 Sales Manager Grant Varley, with AMP Security stopped by our home and offered a new contract with AMP Security to my wife and me. We had not anticipated signing a new contract for our home security. When it was stated our rate would not be increased within the new 60 month contract we were very interested. Our current provider increases our rates every year without upgrading the equipment that was installed several years ago.

We checked the Better Business Bureau web site and found AMP Security did not have a very good rating, however after reading the complaints, we decided to give AMP Security a try. The complaints mainly were about salespersons misrepresenting/stating promises that were not in the contract. Our salesman, Grant Varley at no time made statements that were not in the written contract. It was very pleasurable to do business with him. At no time did we feel pressured.

They removed our old key pad and installed a new upgraded one. We also had a second key pad installed for the garage, added a medical pendant, and an additional motion sensor was added in the living room. The above mentioned equipment is quality and furnished by Honeywell a very trusted name in electronics/instrumentation.

All of this was done on the same day and the technicians were very professional and courteous at all times. Our experience with Sales Manager Grant Varley with AMP Security was very positive.

A salesman came though my neighborhood lying saying my street had two break in's during the middle of the night recently. Called my local police no break in's on my street or the streets around me for four years. I live in Colorado Springs, Co 80918 so whatever salesman you have out here you should tell him to stop flat out lying to my neighboors and be a bit more creative in how to manipulate someone into buying a overpriced system.

Update: I received this email and I am still getting the run-around. This is sad, really. I ve now filed a complaint with the BBB. Bottom line, ACH-ing money without consent is stealing. What s more is they ve agreed to be in the wrong.

It seems there was some disconnect in communication between our billing department and upper management due to the requested refund amount being higher than usual.

While the agent who assisted you did have the ability to approve this, it was reviewed further for final approval, but the final approval was not passed along when it should have been the following week.

Per the contract I canceled my service since I moved. They ve unlawfully debited my account since 6/2019. They keep saying they ll deposit the funds taken and they never do. This is stealing and they didn t have authorization to debit my account. They ve agreed but won t deposit the money back in like they say the will.

I had a very positive experience working with Dylan, from initial introductions to contract execution.

Always wary when approached unsolicited, I am typically all business in these situations. That said, Dylan addresses all of my questions (and there were a lot of them!) professionally and accurately. Never once did I feel like I was being read a script, and the answers were to my satisfaction.

Within minutes of Dylan s departure, Alex the installer arrived. Alex was congenial, knowledgeable and took care of the install leaving very little evidence (other than a nice looking alarm system) behind.

Been a customer for 5 years. Never missed a payment. When I called to cancel service on the month it was due, they told me I had to give them a month notice. Now I'm locked in for another year. When I first signed up they did not tell me that and they also lied about been Guardian. Called Guardian and that's how I found out I was with AHS. Called them and found out they are AMP is just a third party. So who is actually monitoring my home? I think I need a lawyer. Now I'm stuck with them for another year. I have time to do my research. I will send them a whole year notice that I would like to cancel!

I love the peace of mind the system gives me!! I have a dog so indoor motion sensors are not and option but AMP SMART doesn't require the use of them to secure my home. The system was super quick to install and is extremely easy to use! Love that it can be controlled from my smart phone!!
I would definitely recommend AMP SMART!

I cancelled the service within my grace period, set an appointment for the technician to come remove the equipment because they are overpriced in the industry and their contract is for 5 years when everyone else is 2 to 3 years. Day of my appointment comes and there is no show, no call. I call them for them to say that there is no technicians in my area and that I need to remove the equipment myself and mail it to them. I complained about their pissed poor service of asking a disabled woman to remove the equipment and send it back...why was an appointment made if they weren't going to be here, and why wasn't I called and notified instead of me having to contact them over a no show. They offered no other solution, and of course won't refund my money without receiving the equipment back.

It is the absolute worst customer service on the planet!!! Don't waste your time or your money!!!

I would like to let other people know that this company is a scam and it is a rip off. A sales person tricked me into signing up for their security system on their smart phone. Then they told me I had 24 hours to cancel if I did not like it. The guy was in my house installing equipment until 1 AM and when he left, the installation was not completed and wasn't working properly. He said he will be back the next day but never showed up. When I attempted to call the head office, they told me to contact the person who installed the equipment but there was no answer. Finally I called to cancel before my 24 hours was up and they told me I already passed my 24 hours, which wasn't true. The equipment was not working properly, the installation wasn't completed and they told me I needed to pay $1800 if I wanted to cancel their system. They're forcing me to pay an extra $20 every month ontop of my regular payment. Paying $1800 for a cancellation is ridiculous, I am going to see my lawyer and take this issue to the better business bureau.

Although we had talked about changing our alarm system, we hadn't. When Dylan came to the door, I was impressed in his appearance, how polite he was and he knowledge of the product. He had me sold but I needed to talk it over with my other half before I made a decision. He was more then willing to come back in an hour. After he explained how the system works to my husband, I was even more impressed that he was saying the same things but not in the same order. Like it wasn't out of a textbook. Then the tech guy came, to install it. Again very knowable on what he was doing and explained every thing to us. Great group of workers you have. I definitely will be telling my friends about you. Thank you!

Having yet again more problems with their equipment. This time though because it's New Years day they aren't open to resolve the issue. So much for 24 protection. Can't wait to cancel.
Called the next day when open and got terrible service. They couldn't fix it over the phone. Technician is a week out with an appointment window of 4 hours. Worse than the cable company. Do yourself a favor and go with a different company. One that will provide 24hr 365 protection.

Stay away! Do not answer the door! You will regret it!!!!! Get ready for a stressful month long cancellation if you do. System was great I must admit but Amp security does not make it nor do they monitor it. They are just a middleman company trying to make money off of you. After being told we would get a competitive rate and a 3 year contract, they never actually lived up to their word. They even actually sent me new terms in an email but then cancelled it on me before I could even sign it. Haha so shady!!! What kind of company does that?!? After way too many lies and them just trying to keep me on board for three days we called into cancel. "Oh sorry our cancellation dept is closed and they work from home or another location." "Do what?!?" I said. Took over a week for the cancellation dept to show up to work and call us back. Very very very shady company and will try their best to get over on you. Buh Bye Ampsmart....or should I say Ampscam

This was a great expierence. We had been ADT loyal for a couple of years but were not happy with there customer service. We were nervous about switching but after speaking with the sales rep and explaining our concerns they walked us through everything we needed to make the change. Joey (salesman) and Aaron (installer) did a fantastic job showing us all the capabilities and were excellent at answering the questions. My wife and I very happy we made the switch and would recommend this to others as well.

Shawn in customer support was very helpful and friendly. I had made some changes in my home and had to reconnect some of services and he was very patient and took his time so walk through everything to make sure it was working properly. He even called me back to verify all was working to my satisfaction. I would recommend AMP to everyone.

If I could I would give this company 0 stars. First off, I can't believe how many complaints are in this company, AMP Security. I should've checked before I signed up. So I've had this security company for 1 1/2 years now. Almost a year ago, we moved to a new home. They moved the equipment and installed it for us (for $199!!). I've been paying $55.99/month. So we go on vacation, and we get a phone call and text that one of our upstairs alarms went off. Here we are freaking out that someone broke into our home. After talking to them, it was revealed they STILL had our OLD ADDRESS and dispatched the police to our old home!!! Not only that, they couldn't send anyone out to our current home because it wasn't on file. AND, the police was never sent (because I called over to the old house and the police was NEVER there). Are you freaking kidding me??? I was told that I had to contact the billing department to change my address. WTH?! Then, I've had several conversations with that department, and "supervisors" about this whole issue for the last 2 weeks. They've emailed a DocuSign for me to sign...which had several mistakes on it (our address, name, phone number, password). They claimed they would give me a year of free service to compensate me. Have I received any other documents confirming this or anything else? NO. They keep claiming they will contact the person who was supposed to send the document to me and send it again, but here we are, still waiting. Its an email...shouldn't take but a few minutes. I told them that they have lost my trust, that you can't just update the information and give me free service and call it good. I want out of this ridiculous contract, in which they said I would have to pay the cancellation fees to do that. I'm over it. I told the supervisor today I wanted to speak to her boss, whom she says is on the phone and will contact me in 24-48 hours. Right. I'm done. AMP Security is about to get a ton of bad reviews, including BBB. I 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND.
