Unethical!! I cannot comment on the actual products or services, but this company took advantage of my elderly parents and that is unethical to the point I would NEVER or recommend any product or service. My parents are elderly - in their 80 s. The sales reps came to the house on a Saturday and basically pushed their way in. They were not asked in or invited to sit down, etc. My mother said she may be interested, but my father just got home from the hospital and they were exhausted and confused. The salesman said it had to be done today so they could get all kinds of free things so they could NOT wait and decide later. The more they talked, the more my mother said she did not feel comfortable and couldn t make a decision without my father or her kids helping her as we are helping with all financial decisions. The salesman talked over her, would not take no for an answer. She felt bullied and said okay to get him to leave. My father was finally able to make it down the stairs (but doctors have advised him not to since he is a fall risk) because they would not leave. My parents were not in their right state of mind to make a decision and stated this. The sales rep said it had to be that day. They finally said they would sign, but had no clear understanding of what they were buying. They just wanted them to leave. They canceled the next day after thinking about it and realizing they had many questions but had to cancel within 3 days. The rep called to ask why they canceled and got me, the daughter, on the phone. I explained that it seemed like an interesting product but I didn t think my parents needed it, didn t have the money and do not have the technical expertise to operate it. He mentioned they can use their iPads, but did not have an answer when I asked if their version would hold the app as they have old iPads that do not hold many apps. He had no answer, but talked over me. I had to ask him 5 times to stop interrupting me and listen to my comments. But he did not listen or answer, just talked over me. I shouted at him that I was going to hang up if he did not let me complete a sentence and call his supervisor. He finally let me say that we did want to cancel. It may have some good features, but he would not answer my questions or let me have more time for the decision. He kept me on the phone for almost 30 minutes trying to convince me not to cancel it. When I said they didn t know how to use it and it was beeping (in the background), he said he would come out the next week to show them how to use it AFTER the cancel date. I said they needed time to look into the iPad and other issues, but I didn t see how they could use it or afford it. I asked him how he would like someone to treat his grandparents that way and he continued to interrupt me. He stated the deal was only good now since they were in the neighborhood and could not honor the prices if they waited. I said that was fine cancel and he tried again to convince me why they needed it. What company pressures elderly people into buying something they don't need and won't even let them cancel the next day? The sales rep did spend a few hours with them, but only because he would not leave. They felt they had to agree to get him to leave. This seems like an example of preying on old people and is a horrible way to do business. If the product is that good, come back when someone is there to help the elderly and explain it, show them how to use it and answer questions rather than pressuring them. I am appalled at this type of unethical treatment.
