This is an update to my previous review that was unimpressive. Have used arrow many times and can be ok..not great...ok.. but when t are bad..OMG.. on valentines we booked via the app..it showed us a cab on route then after waiting 30 mins in the cold for a cab the app said would arrive in 10 mins we called to be told there was no record of any booking!! ...staff unhelpful because we complained (politely) and seemed more concerned with a power trip because we complained that actually helping and fixing the problem..abysmal service ...back to trying to avoid using this company...

As a Domiciliary care provider we used this service to collect a service user from a respite (wheelchair bound). the taxi driver done two trips and even stopped at a shop to collect a pint of milk! there was an initial hiccup with funding - having liaised with the arrow taxi office and the driver they were happy to take payment later on! we will be recommending to everyone!

Can t forgot the return journey, our driver picked us up from the wrong terminal and blamed us!!! Trust Issues! the actual taxi service was acceptable but there are trust issues around lost property, I left a bag in the taxi accidentally & I know i did as when I phoned Arrow they said yes driver 123 had reported it after our journey & would bring it in next shift, as we live some distance away we were going to get friends to collect it, next time we phoned arrow they said they never had it and nor did the driver! told one thing then another!

We are thoroughly disappointed in this company. We made a few bookings for a vulnerable adult for when he goes out in the community.
We use the app to make bookings up to 24hrs before the journey required. Despite emails confirming the bookings they just don't arrive on time. On 1 occasions we booked to get to the train station to get a train. When the taxi didn't arrive we checked the app. Despite the taxi already being 5 mins late it stated the taxi had not yet been despatched. On calling we were told that it was dropping of another customer just around the corner. This proved to be a lie as when it finally came up on the app it was miles away on the other side of town. When it finally arrived it was 15 - 20mins late. Resulting in him missing the train.
Last night we booked for 2055 to collect him from the train station. Again it didn't arrive on time so had to phone as the vulnerable adult was standing worried at the station. Again according to the app it was yet to be despatched. On calling operator was rude and stated " Its not our fault if customers don't depart the taxi in time".
What is the point of the app if bookings are not adhered to. Whats the point of this technology if you still have to call and chase taxis to get rude staff on the phone who don't seem to care.

Three friends and I had booked a taxi at about 12:50, we waited outside our friends apartment and at 1:05 I called to see if the taxi was anywhere near picking us up. The woman on the phone was very rude and told me that she'd be sworn at by someone from my number so she'd cancelled my taxi (without telling me she had) then hung up. I was so confused at this point because I'd had my phone with me for the past 15 minutes and no one had had access to it, none of us were in the slightest bit drunk and I have a lock on my phone; the only calls I'd made were the one to book and the one to check where our taxi was! I was very confused so I phoned them back to ask them what they meant, and was told that a guy had sworn three times down the phone at them so they cancelled the taxi, without even letting us know. I have no idea what happened and the only thing I can think is that someone called from a similar address (as there was a group of boys around the corner from us throwing stones and being generally rowdy) and that they had sworn at the taxi company. I was very upset and confused, I understand that they wouldn't want to send a taxi somewhere if a driver would be given abuse, but I cannot even think how on earth anyone could have called them from my number! We called another taxi company and they were brilliant, dropped us home without any bother. I won't be using this taxi service again in fear of being accused of something I would never dream of doing. Thank you.

I called a taxi at 15:04 2 weeks ago while in Worthing and coming off by a train on platform 2. I was with my newborn baby in a pushchair and my mother in law. Apparently, the guy on the phone told me that NOWHERE in that part of the town, the taxis pick up or drop of people! The reason was because there are doyble yellow lines and the taxis cannot park or else they'll pay fines! He suggested to go over the bridge which I couldn't with the pushchair. I suggested to go to a nearby convenient street but he insisred that they cannot do that. Now, there were plenty of free spaces amd there was also a bus stop. Still negative. We had to walk 15' to find another convenient bridge to cross over. There were double yellow lines everywhere by the way. I went to some home owners and asked if that was normal and they said no and I should use their address which I did. A taxi arrived, stopping on guess what(?), double yellow lines ( I took picture). I explained the situation to him and he agreed that that was strange as they always pick up people from the bus station there and first of they do not need to park! I live in the busiest street in Brighton with double yellow lines and never had an issue. I had to arrive to Worthing where there is noone around to learn new rules! In the end, it took us 40 minutes to get on our destination with a newborn baby that was hungry snd would eat 40 minutes earlier if the operator didn't have a bad day! I'm wondering what would happen to worse scenarios of sick or elder people waiting on the line!! I was told to call Alex, the manager, to speak to him. A lady was "taking notes" and Alex would call me back. Two weeks after snd still waiting. Not only bad service but horrible attitude from all of them apart from the kind taxi driver who gave us the ride. Alex, are you sure you and your staff looking after your clients??

In July asked for an 8 seater to Hassocks. That was 55 pounds which was fair enough from Worthing. Asked for 2 other pick ups in Worthing and tha made it 110 quid each way. I questioned it and got a very short response. If id booked two separate taxis max it would have been is 20 quid more. How do you work that out? Said I would call back. Next day gor a very funny bloke who said they had no taxis available. Booked with wortax no issues and agreat service.
Tonight booked a taxi through the app. No text to say taxi had arrived no call from the driver. When i checked 10 mins after booked time got a message saying the driver couldnt find us. Funny that another couple booked a taxi and it turned up no trouble. Had to send another car. That meant I couldn't pay through app. Just doesn't add up to common sense or a good service. I suspect the app is not working well!

Myself and a few friends ordered a taxi from Goring to Worthing on Friday night/Saturday morning at about ten to one, was told it would be about five minutes. As we waited, about four of your taxi's came and went from the same location, we inquired to one that was waiting if it was ours, got an informative "no", and they drove off. About 10 minutes after they said they would be here, my friend who had ordered the taxi rang back to see where it was. The radio operator then rudely let us know that our Taxi had been canceled as we had apparently been abusive down the phone to her, and then hung up on us.
Confused, we rang back to try and figure out the misunderstanding, but again she was rude and adamant that a male had directly assaulted her through the phone, apparently on the same number. We were left very confused and upset by this, as we had rung a total of three times, one to book, one to check, and once again after they had hung up. Prank calls do happen, but to just generalise an entire area, and blame someone else because you've had trouble from there isn't a great way to run a business. Surely if your radio operators have the capacity to know who's calling from where, if we were the origin of this abuse, they'd know not to answer our call. My friends and I had just had a lovely night, and were left feeling upset and confused by this encounter. Luckily we got home with another taxi service that arrived promptly and safely, rude proclamations not included.

Although the people who have answered the phone have been very polite, I feel this situation is not likely to be resolved and therefore feel it necessary to write this review. The lady on the phone was extremely impatient and rude, whilst I had an exchange of words with my mate over the pick up address she said "oh come on, mate?!" then hung up the phone very quickly, so I had to ring back to get the pick up point changed, which I was told could be done 'this once'?! so 4 hours later (at 4:40 AM) when it's time to be picked up the taxi was 13 minutes late, so my mate nearly missed his national express buss? pathetic service, very let down by a prestigious taxi business.

Estate car was the requested car booked for 11pm 4th May 2019 instead I got a Toyota Auris!
I booked 10 days before gave mobile and email asked to confirmation email was told I would get bit instead had to ring during the week before to get a confirmation of my request.
My request very simple I needed collecting in an estate car or something with a boot space like the Skoda Roomstar or Peaguot Tippee as my wheelchair doesn't concertina, it has fixed footplate and only the back folds to the seat. Also that the car not have low seating as I have trouble getting in and out as causes pain. I even gave the dimensions in the original phone call. Was assured yes large booted car available. When I rang a few days before the booking as hadn't received email the girl was yeah yeah estate type car booked no haven't sent confirmation as no email. When I stated I had given email as well as mobile phone she was ok what is it again. Reiterated that my wheelchair doesn't fold and that driver needed large boots space got yeah yeah it's fine.
Driver turned up when booked bit car totally unsuitable, I had to help tell him it didn't concertina, just about managed to fit it in the boot after alot of trial and error but i wqs made to feel a problem because my wheelchair didnt fold. The car is also so low to the ground i had difficulty getting in with my crutches and driver didn't even offer to help me get out the car or check I actually got to my house ok as I ended up having to lean on my chair as a walker because of the way he parked.
As a disabled person I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

I am quite shocked by some of the reviews below. I have been using Arrow to pick me up from Goring on a very regular basis over the last few years and have found them to be excellent. Drivers are polite ( in the main at least) on time and the Cars are all decent, not like my old town where you got into a complete shed of a car usually.
I started using the app this summer and it is just so easy to use and takes away the stress of trying to get through on the phone during busy times. Yes you may have to wait a bit longer if you want one home after 11pm on a Saturday evening, but that will always be the case anywhere in the Country.
It is New Years Eve 2016 as I type. I booked a taxi home for later tonight, well early morning in fact ( get me the party animal) on the App about a week ago. i just called them out of curiosity to make sure it is still booked and a very nice lady rattled off the booking to me and confirmed they would be there.
I can assure you I am not a taxi driver in disguise but give these guys and girls a tip if you can afford it. They appreciate it and treat them and the Office staff with the respect they deserve and you will never have any issues.

So possibly the worst taxi ride ever from Brighton to Worthing. Pre booked the taxi for 45 pound from Brighton to durrington and then got told it would be 60 when we got to lancing cause he had to wait half an hour (we changed the time from 2 -3 ) and got to our pickup point at 3. So don't know how he had to wait half hour. Then speaking to office they said caused we changed times with driver it would had to be dealt with between the passengers and him. 1) we booked through a company so we didn't have to "haggle" with prices 2) he gave us he's personal number to let him know change of time, so would assume he would let he's company know any changes (apparently not). Then we were threatend with police after drop off cause we were still discussing prices. Telephone call to the office to try to sort it out to which the telephone co odinator said and I quote " the taxi driver will call police and they will turn up and you and your friend will spend the night in a cell". Then after the taxi guy spoke to the office and started to call the police to turn round and said he will take 45 pound. waisting 30 mins of everyone's time. Last time I use this service again. Awafull.

When I booked a taxi for 8 people ...I was told a mini bus or 2 taxis would arrive. When a four seater arrived...Mick eventually agreed to do two runs and then complained to our friends that we hadn't tipped. Even though he had left them waiting on the road.

Listen I'm no fool and I know you often pick up all sorts of folk but if you are still experiencing problems with multiple app bookings and new staff, at least train your drivers to be humble and polite. ..at least talkative. Because in the last few weeks they have been nothing but obnoxious, arrogant and tip hungry.
