My service has been down for three days and you would think Internode would have a line of contact to NBN, the very product they provide but no they just read from NBN s site as to service interruptions which provides no reasons, no solutions except to say that it s down. Well gee thanks I know it s down. They did tell me fifty other services are affected but I don t want stats I want solutions.

I work from home and rely on steady internet to get my job done. Internode's internet was super choppy with constant outages and unreliable download speeds

dont even bother trying to call someone to fix it. some of their customer service teams did a half decent job diagnosing what my issues were - but none of the proposed solutions ever worked.

more often than not if they say someone will call you back, they wont!
i had only been with internode for a month and i'm already switching. overall terrible experience, would not recommend to anyone. would give 0/5 stars if possible

i will be taking my business with telstra for hopefully a more reliable connection.

I have been with Internode as my ISP for over ten years. I have always found them helpful when I've had issues. Their staff are very knowledgeable and courteous. If I phone and there is a wait time I'm am offered a callback service. Although they aren't the cheapest ISP they would be among the best. Unfortunately, they can't be held responsible for this pig's breakfast of an NBN.

The Price is a little bit higher than some of the others but you get better quality service by far. From skilled and knowledgeable service providers. I can't remember anytime where I have been put on hold for extended periods of time. I have been on the phone with them for about an hour helping to fix my modem not there modem but an after market one. They walked through the setup and setting and got it to work.

Not to mention there product or internet connection is faster than a lot of the cheaper ones as well so for the small amount extra you pay and it is a small difference in price you get great speeds absolutely the best customer service I have ever had with any telecom company by a long way.

10/10 I do recommend

2014 and 2015 with Telstra, ok but expensive and had to call for help with various problems sometimes. Then two years with dodo. Absolute nightmare communicating with them which was too often. Now two years with Internode. Great deal, great price, never had a problem, easy and pleasant communication. Just fantastic. Eight adults in the house, everyone happy.

I have been with Internode for 8+ years and would absolutely and highly recommend this company. Not only do they deliver a quality internet service, their customer service is like something of a past era - and I mean that in the most positive way! I have always been treated respectfully and found their staff to be genuine and helpful. Online management of my account and bills is also simple and user friendly. My experience as a customer has been 100% positive. A few years ago they sent me an email just to let me know that, after revising their data plans, they had increased my data allowance (doubled from memory!) at no extra cost. Seriously, this company should be writing the book on good business and customer service. Love your work Internode!

I was using Optus Cable and Internode ADSL (now NBN) at the same time. I noticed that Internode gave me way better internet speed to the sites outside of Australia on pick hour, e.g. twitch.tv. This was unexpected as at that time my ADSL was 5 times slower than Optus cable according to speedtest. Now I've got NBN 100/40 and Internode truly delivers.

On the other hand, before I migrated to NBN I had a discount. I was promised during migration that I can still enjoy it after the migration. Bad luck. Internode didn't gave me the discount telling me that's because of my employer, while my employer told me that's because of Internode. That's left a bitter taste on my mouth.

For over 10 years I have had excellent service from Internode. Never had a bad experience, unlike with my previous Providers.
Low call waiting times and a call back service that makes sure I don't forget.
And to top it off I've always had call service from people who come from Australia or English first language countries. So happy.

I've been with Internode since 2011 (9+ years) . Originally with ADSL2+, then later in 2017 with NBN:100/40, both on no contract. Also have mobile phone plan. Aside and from a couple of hick-ups (2x change of address connections), they've been marvelous. Certainly 1000x less drama than I experience with T*l*tra.

I am very pleased to say in this modern age where old fashioned service is almost non existent , I came across a young man at internode who is not only well schooled in his trade but a complete Gentleman. Totally professional so refreshing to find his kind of service
In the modern world.
If I was still in business I would employ him for sure.

Customer service is great and my NBN connection is also great (fibre to the curb), however if i call i generally have to wait for long periods or request a call back.
Also if you have any billing issues you arent notified until after 8pm and if you cant pay the full amount you have to wait until the morning to do anything about it.

Beware Existing Internode NBN Customers - I checked on the Internode website and they offer a sweet deal for New Customers while existing customers pay the same price. Totally not fair.
I'm paying $74.99 for NBN50 plan with 500GB when NEW customers are getting the same plan with Unlimited data for $59.99 for the first 6 months.
What an insult for existing customers. Lucky I checked. I rang the sales team to query it and they said someone will ring me next week!!!

Update: I checked in My Internode as suggested and there is no new plans that equal or better the plan on offer for New Customers.

Internode might not be the cheapest provider, around (although they are competitive), but when you need tech help, its refreshing to speak with a person who has English as thier first language. Its also refreshing having the tech help actually listening to the problem and offering a variety of possible solutions, rather than the old 'turn it off and turn back on'.

Stay away from Internode! I have been with them for 3 weeks and have had multiple problems! Really regret signing up for a 6 month contract. They send threatening emails and texts about bills that either have been paid well in advance or not even due yet! We are lucky in Australia to have a good choice of internet providers - stay away from this 2 bit, unprofessional mob!

HORRIBLE!

If only I could rate this service with 0 stars . My experience with internode has been beyond horrible. I picked this company because it was apparently the best, but come on! I had the service for almost 9 months and these were full of complaints and having the service down several times. First, I had to pay a cable jumpering which I had never had to pay with other companies (around $100) This to be able to use the internode service, then pay 2 months in advance, and the service was awful in the 2 places I lived for time I used the service (Sydney area). I had enough of having to be super close to the modem to get good internet and also I got sick of having to call
all the time cause the service was down. Now, I decided to cancel the service to not waste more money, and I have to pay $300 for early cancellation. This company is terrible.

They seem extremely willing to sort things out and help, thanks

Had my NBN cable installed by NBN technician. But was having issues at 9pm. I thought Internode Support would be close...but lo and behold....they have support in South Africa!! Follow the sun support and the gentleman on the other end, with a nice smooth afrikaans accent guided me seamlessly through the install process. Very courteous and professional. Internode HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

TERRIBLE, up there with Telstra! We changed to Internode as they had some good reviews. Received faulty Fetch box, after 6 weeks of multiple calls trying to have the new box sent out which they said they were doing we gave up, cancelled and went to another company. Since cancelling in May I have received 2 monthly bills and have had to call multiple times to try and rectify. They can't even cancel my service properly!! Have had two months worth of bills debited since cancelling! Would Not Recommend!

On the few occasions I have had to ring for technical support they have been fantastic. I am not the most technologically savvy person but they get me there in the end with lot of patience on their end. I have been with them for around 10 years now and stick with them because of their outstanding technical support and competitive prices. Their call centre is in Australia which is also a bonus. It is always good to keep employment in our own country and not send it offshore.

Have had nbn broadband service for 2+ years and found the service to be exceptional. Would recommend Internode to anyone who wants a reliable broadband connection at a reasonable price. The staff are friendly & knowledgeable, no waiting time whenever I have to call for help and if there is a queue they will call you back when it's your turn without losing your place in the queue.

This is my 10th year with internode and it is a shame to say that I will have to move. I have spoken to over 5 different reps over the course of 3 months to get a simple incorrect double charge fixed, as I recently move homes, and it is still not resolved. The final straw was checking in on progress today only to have the support lady hang up on me. When I called back I spoke to a lovely guy who informed me again to wait for a call back within 24 hours.... this is getting beyond ridiculous. It is clear on the records when the site visit for setup was, so why am i getting charged for a period prior when I wasn't there??

EDIT: thanks for your reply. The last ticket number I have is 21203816. I don't have the no. from last friday but I spoke to a lady named Lysandra.

Very quick to sign up but long wait for support, then when answered, told that all they can do is book a callback the next day. Now without internet and still waiting over 45 minutes!!! Either they don't have enough tech staff or there are too many tech issues - either way, very worrying. Then when you try to make a comment on their Facebook it's filtered.

So poor. The hopeless sales lady 1, got basic spelling all wrong 2, didn't order our modem 3, made technical promises that were not kept.

Obviously aggressive sales techniques to get you in the door but failure to do basic things like order the modem. Still not connected. Hopeless and this sales lady should be seriously reprimanded!

Already 1 week delayed... Now for the second week of delays. How can technicians turn up with the modem not even ordered? Crazy

To give you all an idea of how poor the sales lady was ...she spelt my wife's name with a "9" in it...she literally put her name in the system as having a digit in it. Seriously.

I have been a loyal customer of internode for over 10 years. However, in the past couple of years service has got worse and worse, until now I wish we weren't locked in to a crappy NBN contract. We have a mobile phone that still doesn't work, internet coverage that is unreliable and inadequate and service that is really useless. I've spent hours on phone and they still can't fix problems. I feel really disappointed. I used to recommend internode to all my friends - now I warn them against it.

With Internode you get performance figures that are difficult to match. Everyone promises that but are a bit short. With internode you also get a team of highly qualified people. They will make the difference that no other provider can match. If you call they are Australian, they will take you step by step through what ever need or difficulty you have. Non can match, most don't even try.

After 12 years with IINET I had to look for a new internet provider. I have found Internode. You guys have fixed my apparently unfixable ADSL connection and now again provided seemless transition to NBN. The speed of my connection is great and whole process was a pleasure. Even though you are now part of IINET please keep your professionalism and culture and do not change! Thank you and all the best!

Have had multiple issues. Technicians not turning up, frequent internet drop outs, faulty modems. If it was a one-off I could forgive it, but it has been so many times and so much of our time wasted. I'll give one star for their call centre opening hours. The internet speed is pretty good when it works.

We had an account with Internode for 2 years, and never had any issues. Internet was always fast, and the service provided by Internode was fantastic. We moved houses during this time, and that was very simple, we also had to close our account to move to New Zealand, and they made that seamless as well. Highly recommend.

No one at this organisation has English as a first language and it shows. No one takes responsibility for the account. You call back as asked in the voicemal message and the person you speak has no idea why you have been asked to call back. So you start the whole saga from the beginning. I called back on the number provided and got a completely different service provider- so that took another 20 mins of my life!
It's only getting 2 stars because the rating is rigged and I can't give them less!

Gone are the good old days where internode provided outstanding customer support and the best internet service in Adelaide. After a hiatus of paying for internet I recently signed up again, and the service is just terrible all round now. Took 5 weeks to get internet connected, accounts are hopeless, still waiting for an updated invoice, don't even bother trying to call to get support, you'll be on the line for a long time (unless you're signing up of course, then you'll go right through).

I moved over the weekend and forgot to call ahead to have our NBN Internet moved across. I was told that I should have service back in 24hrs, as it s a New Apartment Block and we re the First Connection.
Just on an hour later and I m back in business. Not to mention that when I called this morning, there was no real Automated Message, other than to get to the area you needed. The rest was done with real people, so much better.
I m so happy to have moved to Internode.

I joined Internode 7 weeks ago. Can only praise the company with how they set up the nbn for my family. In fact, the sales rep suggested we start on a lower cost plan for the first month to see how things worked out. He was the first rep to understand the concept of bandwidth when it came to the nbn.
As it turned out our daughter and son -in- law came to live with us during this time. It was very easy even for a senior person like me to change plans.
Would recommend to others to try this company.

Edit: i i have been working with Internode for years. Their service is every bit as good as you'll see from any other company and better. Their staff are only human and can make mistakes but my recent NBN move was as seamless as possible and I had a good deal and excellent tech support, troubleshooting and information provided by personable people who always called back when promised and even more just to ensure my case was fully satisfied. Their plans are only a few dollars more expensive than other ISPs in some cases and they help with costs where they can. Any hold-ups I had were caused by NBN and Telstra and not Internode.
Old post below.

Internode has a lot of bad reviews, and I can understand why. They're a small, Adelaide-run business with their callcentre based right here in the city, and they work from early in the morning right through the night.

I recently took over the management for my business and am handling the payments and accounting between ourselves and Internode and can confidently say that, although the experience has not been problem-free, every issue has been easily solved over the phone with a friendly and knowledgeable assistant, who understands the customer lingo and their way around Internode's internal systems and is relatable and human whilst doing so. They have always helped us out with payments and in times of shortfall, and have even been kind enough to give us small loyalty benefits over the years.

Their internet service is reliable, if perhaps not the most stable in Australia. With a quality router and fairly up-to-date wiring a stable and decent connection is achievable, with speeds pretty much stock standard for the different areas. Dropouts happen but no more than with any other company.

Billing took a fall and hit its head when TPG bought iiNet who bought Internode, but seems to have recovered from the headache now. A talk with customer support saw an unbiased and fair conclusion to any imbalances that came up during the changeover period, and all is back on track as per normal as of posting.

The TL;DR and conclusion: Internode is one of the better internet companies in South Australia. They might not be quite boast-worthy, but they do their job and provide what they promise to. Their customer support is fantastic, friendly, and helpful, and, provided you don't ring during peak hours, connects you to another person in less than thirty seconds. Their billing and emailing systems are somewhat unorthodox, and can indeed be rather confusing for those without much know-how, but a quick call to their support lines and they will help you through even the most unrelated problems. The key is to talk to them, and give them time. Take a moment to read up on their terms, including details on their server refresh periods (90 minute blocks, synced to midnight, in case you were wondering) and to use their call waiting list page (a page on their site that estimates, to a few minutes' accuracy, how long you're likely to wait on hold if at all) and to call the friendly people at their help line if you have any problems.
Finally, be sure to save your bills just in case something does go wrong down the line. A simple bit of proof can help surpass the types of hiccups we experienced during the buying-out recently.

Four stars from me; very good service and support, if a little confusing and infrequently unstable. I doubt any other company could do better.
