Unfortunately they are using a call centre outside of Australia and I can barely understand what they are saying. Otherwise the service is really good
I was using Optus Cable and Internode ADSL (now NBN) at the same time. I noticed that Internode gave me way better internet speed to the sites outside of Australia on pick hour, e.g. twitch.tv. This was unexpected as at that time my ADSL was 5 times slower than Optus cable according to speedtest. Now I've got NBN 100/40 and Internode truly delivers. On the other hand, before I migrated to NBN I had a discount. I was promised during migration that I can still enjoy it after the migration. Bad luck. Internode didn't gave me the discount telling me that's because of my employer, while my employer told me that's because of Internode. That's left a bitter taste on my mouth.
We have has internode just over a year and we have had to contact them at least 4 times as our modem has stopped working. Been on the phone twice today as yet again it failed. They wouldn't help unless we got a new phone cable and said unless we did basically would be 130 bucks for the call out. So we have done this and my partner rang up and a automated voice told him he would be on hold for between 37 and 57 minutes. No call back option. This is unacceptable!!!!!!!!! We waited almost 3 hours for a call back earlier. We won't be renewing our contract with them!!!! No doubt we won't get a discount or anything for not having Internet for 3 days!
Technicians visited me to fix the connection problem and the main problem was the old phone socket at my house. So they replaced it to connect the nbn device. However, they took my new phone socket adopter which I bought at Bunnings without telling me. Is it common to take other's thing without telling? But they left the old phone socket after replacing though. That's why I only gave 3 stars even though they were OK.
Was privately owned, but since sold and now public, the quality of service isn't distinguishable from other players in the market.
