Will never use these people again...text after test and they still couldn't tell us what was wrong with our cat. Everytime we turned around another charge and another test...we went to pick up the car and they forgot about us and ended up waiting in a room for TWO HOURS! even after we asked what was going on..waited another hour.

NEVER AGAIN!

I have not used this facility for ER services, only for Ophthalmology services with Dr. Budelsky. He has seen my Cavalier twice over the last year or so for cataract consultations. I find him to be very knowledgeable, helpful, considerate, and seems to have up to date equipment. I really wanted my pooch to have cataract surgery, but Dr. Budelsky thoughtfully relayed his concerns (12 year old dog with stage 3 heart murmur) and we decided against it at this time. He could have easily recommended the surgery for the revenue as it is a very expensive surgery, but he seems to put the dogs first, which is comforting and appreciated. At my first appointment his technician was helpful and friendly. At today's appointment she (Karen if the sign was correct) was not as friendly, a bit condescending, and short. When I asked what her eye pressures were when we checked out, she stated that she was not listening during the exam (concerning?!). When I said the doctor hadn't mentioned them specifically, she asked the receptionist to call the doctor to get the information instead of getting it herself. This seemed like a lazy and cold response. So technicians get a 4 which I feel might be generous, Dr. Budelsky gets a 5 for sure. Also, costs for the detailed exam were less then my initial ER visit in a different town, and he spends a lot of time with you. Thanks Dr. Budelsky!

I had to take my cat, Izzy, to VCA Emergency care on 06/05/2016, due to sudden symptoms in which he was experiencing acute cardiac arrest. Dr. Browne-Goodwin and the receptionist, Heather, were extremely helpful and compassionate. They treated my pet as if he were the only one, as he required euthanasia. I was concerned that my pet's needs would interfere with the other pets who needed care at the time, and the staff was very understanding and reassuring.

My dog got very sick very fast so I brought him in to VCA, I was informed that he had a herniated disc. Unfortunately I ended up having to euthanize him. It was the single hardest decision I've ever had to make with a pet, but the staff was so understanding and so supportive, it made a really hard day just a little better. They let me say goodbye, they let me be in the room when they did it so so he didn't have to pass on his own. It was really hard but it would have been that much harder if the staff hadn't been so helpful.

The best experience for a pet owner, my pet had stitches and they appeared opened after coming home from work. Went to Urgent Care and they wanted to do stitches over again and charge 800$ +!!! I ultimately had them do bare minimum to get me through the night for more options during the day and still cost 300$ for simple antibiotic, VCA said the incision was fine and gave me a cone that Urgent provided for 32$ that wasn t appropriate for my pet and I walked away with a 7.81$ charge and stitches not necessary because incision was fine and the name of the game was to keep my pet from tampering with incision so the cone they provided was appropriate and they showed me several ways to utilize it if I had any issues! I m thankful for their service and peace of mind for me and my pet, I could be a spokesperson before this is said and done with the service they provided! So grateful

Brought my dog here when we experienced some bleeding and bloated belly. She was taken care of and even during covid- and having to stay in my car the whole time I was updated on every step and felt like they were giving her amazing care. They are so professional and genuinely nice and I am so thankful for them!!

My dog injured her leg a couple months ago, and we took her to get leg surgery there. The nurses and interns there seem under-qualified. It was an unpleasant experience; nonetheless, as my dog has fully recovered, I can officially change my statement: it was, in regards to the surgery, worth the $3,000 payment. To say the least, although the reception was disagreeable, the surgery went well.

My experience is with Dr. Sangster, her team, and receptionists. Dr. Sangster saw my cat for some neurological concerns last year and was incredibly attentive, thorough, and answered my many questions very patiently. She discussed all diagnostic options including possible costs with me and helped me decide what was best to do with my budget/available funds while also considering my cat's needs and my emotions about the entire situation. Dr. Sangster's team members get back to me reliably whenever I call. Every time I call, the receptionists are so kind and patient.Whats more, all of this has occurred during a pandemic which has been stressful for everyone, especially veterinary staff!

Note - Yes, veterinary care is expensive. This is a given and should never, in my opinion, affect the rating or review of a veterinary hospital. Folks should keep in mind that the staff with whom you are interacting are not the ones who decide the cost of procedures and treatments. A good vet will discuss cost of procedures with you beforehand and help you decide. This was the case for my experience with VCA and Dr. Sangster.

I'm going to say the staff and the doctors are friendly and very good at taking care of the animals. The doctor was amazing at answering all my questions and addressing my concerns. However, $5300 for a c-section is absurd. Now I'm at home (over an hour away from this vet) laying with my dog bawling my eyes out hoping she makes it until morning because I didn't set aside more than $2500 for complications because that is the NORMAL price for a c-section at an EMERGENCY VET!!!!! I drove 65 miles from home paid $1000 for blood work and some oxytocin and now I have to hope for some miracle that a regular vet with normal prices will be open on Easter Sunday to perform a c-section on my dog. I really wish I just would've went somewhere else to begin with.

We brought our Corgi up here on a Sunday because he was severely ill and loosing blood. I was referred here by a friend since they can do blood transfusions. The staff made us comfortable and explained our options. Our poor Corgi was severely anemic and had Cancer. We asked them to make him stable so we could spend one last night with him. The staff were super sympathetic and agreed to help. We got to spend one last night with our baby and help him cross the rainbow bridge at our local vets office.

Would not recommend taking your animal here if you are expecting results! We took our sick animal in on Tuesday where they ran tests and took our money, and here we are on Friday night still waiting on results. I have been told multiple times that someone would call me back, but here I am still waiting! They are extremely rude and just said bring your cat back in if you are that concerned. You would think they could spend 10 mins and go over the results so we can get a medication for her, but they just want us to bring her back in so they can get more money. RIDICULOUS!!

We just want to express our gratitude to the staff...

We just want to express our gratitude to the staff of VCA, who on Saturday morning, assisted us in letting go of our sweet Kasey dog of more than 16 years. Kasey was on her own end of life path, and nothing we were attempting in prolonging her life was going to change that, as it became apparent. Kasey had stopped eating and allowing her to starve to death was out of the question. Being with our girl for the end of her life was a requirement for us. We went in on Saturday morning and were informed there was no doctor on staff who would allow us to be with Kasey. However the staff and nurse stepped up and took care of matters to allow Kasey to peacefully leave us while we held her close. It was so comforting and assuring for us as we let Kasey go from our lives. To the staff and nurse, your stepping up to help us meant the world to us. Thank you for your gentleness and compassion. It will never be forgotten.

My 2 year old cat was struggling to pee and I was referred to see VCA in the middle of the night. So happy I did, the staff on every phone call was every kind and empathic towards me and my cat. They answered every question I had diligently and kindly, explained everything throughly, and treated my cat like an old friend. A urine test was taken and test results came very quickly, especially over the weekend. Absolutely loved our experience with VCA . My cat is recovering extremely well and is coming back to his normal self.

After today I will not recommend. Really needed to get 1 small bottle of eye drops called in to pharmacy for my dog and they refused to do it! They said he had to be seen! I had just came home from my regular VCA vet after paying $330 for yearly shots and exam, there was no way I could get him in right away! Even my doctor will call in meds for me even if I'm overdue for a damn exam!! Very, very disappointed! They really care more about money than individuals and their beloved pets, so very sad.

Wow. Such a horrible experience at the emergency "...

Wow. Such a horrible experience at the emergency "vet" tonight. Shocking that a "vet" can show total lack of care/concern for your pet. I took my diabetic/epileptic cat Bo in tonight to check his blood sugar and possible dehydration. They tell me Bo is too upset and they can't exam him....I tell them I can get Bo out of his carrier with no problem...I do it 3 times a day to give him his epilepsy meds. They inform me its against their policy for customers to help get their pets out of carriers...if anyone is to be at risk of getting bit it should be the staff. Then, the vet tech tells me she is NOT putting herself at risk of getting bit and having to go to the hospital. So, I take my cat to an EMERGENCY VET and the vet doesn't examine him....but charges me $110 for "physical examination." I could care less about the bill...I just wanted Bo examined and checked for possible dehydration. If you care about your pet, Avoid Fishers VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center at all costs!

I have heard good things about this facility as a speciality clinic, but I am not impressed with the emergency department. I took my cat in a few months ago because she has inflammatory bowel disease and I couldn't stop her vomiting. They admitted her for dehydration, but we waited probably two hours from when she was examined until when she was admitted. They had me order an unnecessary test because they did not believe she had IBD. They did not call and update me as they promised they would either morning and sent us home with unnecessary antibiotics and an atypical choice of anti-nausea medicine that surprised my regular vet. Both of these choices ultimately prolonged her recovery. I got preliminary test results that were supposed to be back 48 hours after ordering a week and a half later (because I called) and got the full results a month later (again, because I called). They said they would wash our blanket that she threw up on, but I never got it back and my calls about it were never returned. The vets that I tried to ask questions to about follow up care were rude and unwilling to discuss next steps and actions. I understand that emergency departments are chaotic, but I was not impressed by the decisions made and the inability of the staff to follow up when appropriate.

We drove about 2.5 hours from Winona Lake, IN to VCA Advanced Veterinary primarily because they had better imaging capabilities than the alternative specialist centers in the area. They are also they only facility in Indiana with neurological veterinary specialists aside from Purdue.

Dr. Cross did a thorough examination of our Boxer, explained his observations and potential causes, and most importantly spent time going through the results of the diagnostic testing performed on site. The vet techs and other staff were also very friendly and helpful!

This is the worst animal hospital I have ever been. To they tell me my dog needs to be referred to a specialist and they have no problem letting me see their specialist but will not put that o. paper so I can choose my own specialist. Shady!!! I will never bring my dog back here I would drive to another state before I brought my dog back here.

We were heartbroken when our super healthy 8 year old German Shepherd fell ill and no one could figure out what was wrong with him. Our vet referred us to VCA in fishers and we started working closely with Dr. Timothy Hui. I could tell right away that he was passionate and driven to help us figure out what was wrong with our baby boy, Thor. Even during Covid when we could not go in and talk to him - he made sure to take the time to answer all of our questions and explain our options in detail over the phone. He would sometimes call my husband at 8pm and spend 30 minutes on the phone with him. We were amazed by his empathy, knowledge, and honesty about our next steps and possible outcomes. It turns out Thor has a rare fungal infection and the medication he is on has saved his life. Thank you for giving us more time with our sweet boy.

VCA is a great veterinary care provider. We had gone to 3 other vets and nobody could help our puppy with his enormous swollen mass on his throat. Finally took him to VCA where they hospitalized him, gave him the IV antibiotics and anti inflammatory meds he clearly needed, and ran the appropriate tests. The facility is very clean and comfortable (for pets and their humans). They took great care of my boy and kept me in the loop, answered all my questions and provided clear estimates and invoices. What more could you ask for?

Our rescue dog, Honey, has had to have two TPLO surgeries - about a year apart - due to torn cruciate ligaments in the back legs. Dr. Pugliese performed both surgeries and after care. We could not say enough about Dr. Pugliese - she's simply wonderful. She explained options, what to expect before/during/through recovery and was so very kind and empathetic. The recovery period is long, and she even gave us ideas about how to prevent our 70lb lug from jumping on couches, etc. during her recovery. You could tell she understood not just the actual surgery, but also what it was like to manage it after - which is so important for an owner. She even took a picture and sent us updates after the procedure to make us feel better after the operation - without us asking. What a sweet thing to do for worried doggy parents. Our dog healed so well from both surgeries, and we thank Dr. Pugliese for sharing her expertise. Honey is happy to once again chase squirrels (in the spring of course).

I feel I must post this review because of my exper...

I feel I must post this review because of my experience and after sitting in the parking lot for hours with my dog inside during an emergency and I was reading all the terrible reviews and wondering if I took my dog to the right place. Even though the outcome of my dog is not what I wanted, it s what was best for my dog. I went to this ER with my dog, I was visiting from California and had to leave in two days when my dog suddenly became altered and unable to walk, vomiting, and short of breath. My dog was 14 years old, so she was an old dog and a cancer survivor. I had to put my dog down on July 2nd late in the night, but I did not want my dog to suffer and she was not going to have the quality of life back that she had even if she survived the event, which I don t believe she would have. When we first arrived they took my dog from me abruptly but it was due to the color of her togue being cyanotic, and needing to put her on oxygen. She was rushed back and then we waited at least 2 hours to hear from the vet clinic. Due to covid it is hard to just wait in a parking lot on your sick animal, but that clinic is doing the best they can to keep the animals safe as well as their owners. Eventually dr. Records called me, asked me to come in and tell her if she was witnessing what I witnessed at home, which she was. I made the hardest decision to put my Lexy down, but it was what was best for her. Dr. Records and the entire staff was so encredibly sympathetic and nice to me and my daughter. They let me and my daughter be with my dog before during and after putting her to sleep. They were so compassionate, the doctor spoke to me like a friend. She was amazing, and so was the staff. They made sure to make a terrible situation as easy as they could given the circumstances. I was glad I took my dog here, and felt their compassion during this difficult time for me.

This was my first visit to the facility, as I was referred for Physical Therapy for my German Shepherd Dog, Max. Upon arrival, I was promptly greeted and was told how soon our appointment would be. The Vet, Dr. Talaga came out to escort us back to the rehab room, which was a wonderful, clean, bright area.I had some trepidation, starting a new relationship, but Dr. Talaga put Max and I at ease very quickly. She was very thorough, kind to Max, and explained everything in a way I could understand. Our experience was great, and we will be going back for more PT.

From the moment we walked in with our 6yo mixed Niedlich, the staff was amazing. Everyone treated our baby and family with compassion. Niedlich had a ruptured disc and was unable to move her hind legs. Dr Cross came in and explained Niedlich's condition and treatment plans. He was very supportive and answered all of our questions. After her MRI, Dr Cross stayed so we could discuss the prognosis with each treatment plan. Unfortunately, the prognosis was poor and we decided to let our sweet girl go to Rainbow Bridge. Dr Cross and staff were very loving and compassionate as we said our goodbyes. We will be forever grateful for the knowledgeable, compassionate staff at VCA Advanced Veterinary Care.

$2,400 and 9 days later to remove a small lump and no pathology report. Surgeon is off and no one in hospital can give us the results of report that we have paid for. We have never talked to surgeon that did the surgery after 9 days of surgery. Just got off phone with my local vet and she has seen the report but doesn't remember results but she will call us 1st thing in the morning. The small mass removed is now tripled in size and ready to bust. Thanks for the care Nicolas Vecchio and the rude staff of Advanced Fishers care. UPDATE this morning are local vet called and said she has the surgery report and they found seed and grass in the mass they removed. You would think this hospital would have shared this with us. I asked the nurse when I picked her did they find anything in the mass and she didn't know. 9 days now and still no info on the pathology report and no info from them on the surgery it self. I am canceling the cc payment. I highly recommend you find another vet hospital to take your pet

This place is only in it for the money. We had a 7-1/2 year old cat that had never been sick before. We first took him to Pet Wellness Clinic on Binford. We had xrays done and found out he had aspiration pneumonia. He needed to be on oxygen so we went to VCA Advanced Care, after the Binford clinic called ahead and explained our situation. We were only about 10 minutes away. When we got there, they had no idea what we were there for. We couldn't go in so they came out and were asking typical sign in questions. I had to tell them to get our cat into the oxygen tent immediately. After they finally got him settled, they called and said they needed to do xrays, etc, even though we brought all tests and results from the Binford Clinic with us. They said they couldn't read the xrays we brought so they needed to do more. We had already paid a couple of hundred dollars at the Binford Clinic for perfectly good xrays. After their xrays and a few hundred more dollars, they came to the same conclusion as the Binford Clinic. It went even further downhill after that. Each time we called to get an update, we got a different person and a different answer. Some of these calls were within 15 minutes of each other. One would say he was unresponsive. The next call would tell us he was up switching sides and meowing. We couldn't get a straight answer about his condition from anyone. I even called my own vet of 25 years at one point to ask advice. When I suggested what he said, they dismissed it. As the day went on, he got worse, but we didn't know that. He declined rapidly once he was there. Personally, I don't think they watched him close enough. I finally spoke with his doctor at about 6:00 pm. She told me they were waiting for the specialist before they did anything. He had been there since 11:00 am. She was also the one that told me he was responsive. When she told me they wanted to keep him overnight, etc., I specifically asked her costs. I asked her where we were at right then, and how much it would be for the overnight charges. She gave me the figure, and told us to call back at 10:00 pm. We called at 10 and the person told us that he was completely unresponsive and having a lot of trouble breathing. At 10:20, they called and said he died. They told my daughter that he stopped breathing but his heart was still beating, but she wouldn't make it up there in time. We went as fast as we could, but he was dead. Then we were handed a bill that was about $400 more than the doctor quoted, and her quote included an overnight stay which obviously didn't happen. When I questioned the lady about the bill, she said those were new charges. It still didn't make any sense to me. When I asked her why she didn't tell my daughter he was close to death so she could come up there, she said at least they were there. Bottom line.....we dropped off our cat with the thought of treating pneumonia, which is treatable. Our cat is now dead. My daughter didn't get to see her cat before he died, and the poor guy died alone. We will NEVER take any of our animals here again. All they want to do is rack up the bill. No one takes responsibility there. If I could give zero stars, I would.

We were referring to them by Pet Pals go help find a root cause of our little Maltese becoming deaf and having seizures out of the blue. They have been so responsive during the entire process. It's never easy to watch a pet succumb to a disability; especially one severe enough to require a specialist. Dr. Budelsky was terrific. He took the time to understand, assess, and treat the condition. Being a client for standard annual checkups at a different VCA clinic, I was glad to see that the two would communicate to determine the best course of treatment. The staff there seemed genuinely interested in the wellbeing of my pet. I am convinced that my pet was receiving the best care available.

I was referred here to have one of my dogs visit a neurology specialist, Dr. Andrea Sangster. She was extremely helpful in discussing both diagnostic and treatment options, and even personally called during the diagnostic procedure to give updates and her risk/benefit interpretation. When I went to pick him up later that night after a class (after 9pm), I expected to sign a release form and leave, but she had actually stayed (or came back) and met with me in person to discuss results at length, and to make sure I had the required prescriptions and understood the reasoning for all of them. She even discussed some of the research in the area and how it drove dosages and timing.

A few months later, I had a concern about some worsening symptoms, and she gladly took my call and again and talked with me as long as I needed to make sure she both understood me and that I knew what my best option was. She is a brilliant DVM and very caring as well. Hopefully very few people's pets need her level of care, but if they do, she is the doctor to see.

Dr Sangster and Shayna were absolutely wonderful when I had to bring my kiddo in for a consultation this past June. Working in the field, and knowing all the possibilities prior, I know I was likely not an easy client with all my anxieties, but never once was made to feel a burden. Dr Sangster spent 20 minutes explaining her exam findings, and her recommendations, and coming up with a plan that d work for us all. This included making a plan to come back on a day that d fit in an ophthalmologist consult prior to his MRI to make sure we d checked all possibilities. While I m extremely grateful for the results being what they were, I m also extremely appreciative to have been treated so well. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Pluto and I are very grateful.

I came to the VCA in February after my dog had been kicked by a horse. He suffered a severe fracture that almost resulted in amputation. Dr. Wehrenberg spent many hours in surgery trying to refrain from having to amputate my dogs leg. After several hours of trying to connect a bunch of broken bone fragments the doctor called to tell me our only option was to amputate. However , he gave it one last try and had success . I could not be more pleased with my experience with the staff at the VCA in fishers. They are an extremely busy staff and they stay professional and kind. Dr. Wehrenberg is an amazing veterinarian and I'm so thankful he was able to save my pups leg. Thank you VCA for all you did for my dog McGee and I during this difficult time .

After having purchased eye medicine for our dog every month, we were turned away today and told that we needed to schedule an annual eye exam. When we first met with the vet we were told that our dog needed the drops every day to keep them moist as she is blind. We were told that there was nothing that could be done and that we needed to keep the eyes moist. No notice of an appointment being necessary was given - no email, no phone call, no postcard. Nothing. I could see informing us that we would need to schedule an appointment before they would dispense next months meds, but no, they refused her medically necessary medicine.

I had a fairly cosmetic, but potentially serious problem: my dog had nearly torn off a toe-nail on a Sunday, so I was fearful of emergency-room fees, but a technician was able to take care of it. I'd signed a paper beforehand committing me to a $113 fee, but they told me I didn't actually have to see a doctor unless I insisted. I didn't, so they only charged me $58 or so. I was very relieved. They even gave me a cone for free when I requested it.

My very, very much loved Mabel had very persistent...

My very, very much loved Mabel had very persistent ear infections, and her ear was or became a little misshapen inside, and after a lot of visits to our vets around Austin and Houston and Indy, where the doctors all kinda said the same thing, my vet in Brownsburg gave me some options for referrals, and I'm not sure I remember why I chose VCA among the three options that I was given, but there we were last October in a surgical consultation with Dr. Lauren Pugliese.

I like Dr. Pugliese. I've cared for pets and had them at this vet or that for 35 years now, all those folks are pretty smart. Way more so than medical doctors. But a few of them are really, really smart. That's how I judged Dr. Pugliese. Everything during the consultation, I gathered nothing but confidence in her. And well, I wanted all that brain power working for Mabel so I chose an extra diagnostic option, I got it, and we got our ducks in a row. We did TECA surgery. It was not an easy choice but 9 months after I have no regrets at all. Where Mabel would be at her ear all the time before, now it's easy peasy and she's just chillin.

Also, I very much liked the people up front helping me get Mabel in and out of there. I really did appreciate all these folks.

I took my cat to the VCA Fishers and I don't think my experience could have been any worse. I came home to my cat vomiting and urinating blood. So I rushed him to the VCA Fishers because it was the closest emergency animal hospital to me. I arrived at 9pm and the staff seemed responsive at first and they took my cat back immediately (believing he was blocked). I soon realized that the VCA was majorly understaffed. My girlfriend & I filled out our paperwork and then proceeded to wait 45 minutes for the tech to come in to tell us that our cat was not blocked thus he was not in immediate danger. She also mentioned that there were 3 other animals that checked in at the same time and that our cat was not as important as the other cases. I wasn't in a rush and recognized fully that it was an emergency facility, but my pet was ignored for a solid 4 hours. The vet seemed inexperience and has no confidence in her diagnose and has no reassuring recommendations. They were going to do an in house urinate-analysis so we could have answers but because they were too understaffed they ended up sending it out. We spent over $400 for no answers, antibiotics (that didn't work because the doctor didn't even know what was wrong), pain medication, and a urine-analysis. 2 weeks later our cat did blocked and I truly believe that the VCA Fishers is the reason that our cat's life was at risk and we ended up paying $1100 in surgery costs. I would definitely avoid this center AT ALL COSTS! I highly recommend the VCA Noah hospital!

Very nice staff. I had a misunderstanding with my bill and thought I owed more and they corrected me and insisted that it was right. I was pretty shocked because I have in the past felt like vets always over charged. They where very ethical and we left happy that we went there.

How to start, our hearts are still healing from Sunday evening when our Irish Setter Nan got loose and was struck by a car. Our neighbors had told us about VCA so we drove an hour to get Nan medical attention. Nan didn t survive her injuries . I can t express my gratitude enough to the Doctor and staff who helped us thru this. THANK YOU All SO MUCH. Now for the review. A quick price for evaluation was given along with being ask to medicate for pain. I immediately understood the initial cost . She was taken care of quickly . The doctor came to us with his evaluation of her condition and concerns of internal injuries . He told without X-rays he didn t know the extent but assured us it wasn t good. We ask for X-rays trusting his evaluation but had to know in our hearts before making that decision we all don t want to make. We were immediately given the cost, she got the X-ray and we had to make the dreadful decision. The doctor treated a crazy emotional family with so much respect I can t say enough. I personally felt like he and the staff really cared about us and our fur baby.

My cat was recently treated at VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center in Fishers and despite the scary circumstances, the staff was absolutely amazing and we had a wonderful experience! Dr. Lewis and McKenna went above and beyond to make sure my cat was treated with the BEST care and compassion! After daily updates, I was also sent photos of my little guy! What a great way to reduce the stress of the pet parent when your animal is hospitalized for 3 days:-) Dr. Browne and Dr. Compton were great as well, so we were definitely blessed to have such a talented and caring medical team healing my cat back to great health! Discharge wasn't the best experience, but I'm guessing this was probably just be a training issue. Thank you to everyone who helped treat my cat during his hospital stay. He didn't show it, but he was so grateful, too!:-) Don't hesitate to bring your sick animal to this facility! You will be in GREAT hands! #FeelingBlessed

Kind, knowledgeable and courteous staff at all levels. This is the first emergency clinic that we have encountered that will allow a payment plan so that expensive procedures are possible if Care Credit is not available. We highly recommend them to anyone needing specialty care for their beloved pets. We received vital information after an MRI that showed why our dear Sophia was having seizures. She passed away and VCR sent a donation in her name to a rescue they support. That meant a lot to us.

Our dog Maggie is usually very sheepish around veterinary staff, but she warmed right up to the doctor, intern and assistant who came into the examining room today. Dr. Budelsky was able to get a more thorough look at Maggie's eye and give a more reliable diagnosis than our regular vet. We were offered a clear treatment plan for our dog's condition. Thank you for answering all our questions and being so helpful.

My dog was diagnosed with cancer last spring, and the oncology department at VCA was with me throughout the course of his cancer treatment. Dr. Manor was always willing to talk with me about my options, and she was so good about explaining the pros and cons of each, with our ultimate goal of prolonging Calvin's quality of life for as long as possible. I appreciated that the vet techs always called to check in on Calvin, and he was never nervous to go in for a check up. They treated him so well while he was there for a visit every time.

I had to make the decision to put Calvin down in November of 2020, and though I went with a mobile vet who did it at my house instead of taking him to VCA, the doctors and staff that treated him at VCA sent me a heartfelt note after his death.

Thankful that I was shown such caring and kindness through one of the most difficult times in my life. Highly recommend if you find yourself to be put in such an unfortunate situation and need veterinary oncology.

Our dog ingested xylitol (sugar-free gum) and they quickly but clearly helped us through the process of making educated decisions. For the ER exam, induced vomiting, and medication we paid under $300. This did NOT include any blood work or overnight observation. We paid ASPCA poison control $65 to check how much xylitol he ingested and getting a firm answer was comforting.

Even though we came out with a lucky dog they prepared us clearly and compassionately for all possibilities and graciously put up with my detailed questions. The technician who helped us - Blake - was excellent. All the staff we saw were wonderful.

That being said I hope we never see them again :)

The professionals here are awesome. I unfortunately lost my best friend of 8 years due to illness, and the staff at VCA was more than professional. My animal had to undergo several tests to find the problem, which became quite expensive. The office staff was more than understanding, and worked with me to resolve my payments. Thank you Lisa and staff for making my loss a little less miserable. I will bring all future animals here

We took our 9 month old dog here because it was after hours and our vet did not have an answering service. Even though all his shots were up to date, they insisted on a Parco test before he could even go inside the facility. This would not have been that big of deal except the test is $130. So now they call us in the parking lot to confirm that he does not have Parvo and he can now be seen. 45 minutes later they call and say he's been examined and now we're in ANOTHER $150. But...without blood work and xrays they cannot tell us anything. So..for another $500 they can do those things! Come on people..you are really going to charge $900 to tell me why my dog is not eating and is lethargic???? Who has that kind of money? So they brought our sick dog back out to us in the parking lot, charged us $260 dollars, gave us absolutely no paperwork, no diagnosis, and no treatment plan. What a joke. Dont waste your money on these money hungry excuses for vets!

My dog had to have surgery on his foot. The staff was so friendly and professional and reassuring. The surgeon explained everything to me clearly. I m so impressed with the service I have received so far. I live a few hours away from this location. My dog had to stay the night before his surgery and they sent me a text with an update and a picture of him. They called before and after his surgery to let me know how he was doing. Dawn and Dr. Vecchio have been wonderful!

Dr. Rechner was extremely rude. I understand you're the professional, you have the degree. I get it, but you were rude. Wouldnt do the surgery when its MY cat. I know th e consequences. Shes going to die anyhow. I would rather chance the surgery than not do anything. I mean seriously I cant afford the radiation that will prolong her life a couple months for $8000 but would def be willing to pay $4000 to remove the mass. Shes going to die from me not doing anything. It literally makes no sense to why I wouldnt try the surgery even if it is 50 percent morbidity rate. Again I'd rather try to save her than have to just wait it out and put my cat down. I'll get someone to do it. Again this lady was super rude. Belittling.

I brought my dog here after an emergency situation. After a swift examination of my dog, they brought me a sheet of paper with everything they were going to charge me for with a massive price tag at the bottom. When I questioned the massive price tag and some of the items on the list, they made me feel extremely guilty for asking questions. The on call vet was very cold and apathetic in what was already a stressful and scary situation for us. I felt they were more concerned about getting payment than saving my dog. I would have done anything to save my dog and I felt they took advantage of that. They were able to save my dog which I am thankful for but I will not be coming here in the future.

If you care about your animals DO NOT subject them to the hands of these horrible people. My mothers puppy hurt her leg and we rushed her to VCA, they took the puppy inside without us. We waited an hour for a response while we waited in our vehicle only to be told that our puppy "broke" her leg. They did not show us an X-ray and refused to give her back to us until we paid $650. They offered to keep her and perform a 6,000.00 surgery. We paid the $650 and took our puppy to our family vet. He informed us after he took an X-ray that the puppy had a minor fracture meaning the bone was not broken! They are scam artists!

They are very expensive. I can't afford to take my dog there any longer.
Yes, the Dr. was very competent, has been for the last 4 years. Gracie, my dog, who has an eye condition that requires life long medication, has been seeing the Dr for 4 years. Last year I was demoted to receiving social security, and had to pare my expenses as much as possible. Although Gracie still had sufficient Meds, and was doing really well, I was gouged $149.00 for her recheck to get her Rx refilled, because I waited more than a year to bring her in. In the past a recheck was about half, or less than half of that price. I simply could not afford to take her when she was doing so well. I was not neglectful of her condition, I really could not afford unnecessary expenses. Yet, I fell that I was punished or taken advantage of just "because". I will be begging our regular vet to prescribe the necessary medication, even if I have to educate him about the disease, with documentation, and records. Don't want her to suffer because of others greed.

I brought my dog in over the weekend and he had to stay overnight to receive care. I was met by very friendly individuals upon our arrival who made both myself and my dog Tucker feel very welcome. The ladies were very comforting the entire time and took all of my concerns into consideration. We did have to wait a fair amount of time the first day we came in due to some immediate need emergencies that entered the facility following our arrival. However, I was informed by two different individuals of what was happening and was apologized to for my wait by both the assistant and doctor. I was more than happy to wait as I completely understood other animals were in more desperate need than we were at the time and I am happy to know that if I had that kind of emergency they take it very seriously. When I came to pick Tucker up I could tell he had been well cared for while there. The women informed me that they were actually sad to see him leave because he had been so well behaved and was a pleasure to spend time with. We had to bring Tucker back two days later following additional concerns and he again received great care. I could tell that the individuals working for this facility cared more about caring for my dog and for my emotions and concerns than anything else. The cost was kind of rough but my dog is looking much better and for that I am appreciative.

You feel that they are sincerely interested in the health of your pets. They take the time to thoroughly explain what they've done, what they think, what the issues are and how they are handling them. I've had pets for 50 years, lived in San Francisco where some of the best medical training is and these are the most capable, professional vets I have worked with.

Whoever greeted me at the door while I was experiencing an emergency with my pet was rude. Instead of asking what was wrong or how she could help she pointed out the fact that I had a box. The box is where I kept my sick and at dying pet. She next asks me what s wrong with my pet. If I knew that I wouldn t of been there in the first place. Obviously I didn t know and I didn t have the means to treat my animal. Maybe this establishment needs to have more compassionate and capable of deductive reasoning veterinarians.

I took my Doberman there 12 moths ago for CCL surgery, now his other leg needs the same surgery. Little upset when the new doctor told me that price had gone up 12%. Turns out the last dr. had some pricing discression he was able to offer that the current dr either didn t have or didn t want to offer me. A little frustrating that by simply having a good report with the 1st dr. equaled a lower surgery cost. Either way is only a $300 difference which isn t a big deal considering the professionalism and the quality of work they did and hopefully will do this time again.

Our ongoing experience has been outstanding. Dr. Hui is knowledgeable, kind, and he has spent so much time with us over the last 8 months. From the first day here, I have felt heard. When our cat was hospitalized, the staff never made me feel like a burden for calling to check in or coming down just to visit him. They never rushed us out. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the support staff. When we walk in, they know our cat by name.

This year has been very eventful to say the least....

This year has been very eventful to say the least. Since Feb, all 4 of my dogs were treated by this wonderful staff. Tucker was accidently hit by my daughter in Feb. He was less than a year old and we were scared to death that he had major damage. They immediately took him back and assessed him. Luckily, no broken bones just some contusions and a couple of scrapes. (Tucker was treated again for a groin pull late this summer. He is a Vizsla-very active). Jake was admitted for pneumonia. Lucy was admitted for gastritis, and Cooper was admitted for anaphylactic reaction to eating an outside plant he wasn't suppose to. All serious conditions that were met with compassion, professionalism, and kindness. Not only to our beloved fur babies, but to my family. The prices were reasonable for the services rendered (many actually cheaper than my vet) and transparent. Being in the medical field does allow me to have a higher comprehension of the procedures and results that some may not. Never did I feel that things were being done in the process of caring for our pets that were unjust. We were always in constant communication with the doctors on the status, even after midnight and we always received a follow up call once everybody was home safe & sound. We are very fortunate to have this facility and expectional staff to go to. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts from Jake, Lucy, Coop, and Tuck.

Jessica C. And Dr. Browne were prompt and informative when I brought my 5 year old Frenchie in after our regular very said they were too busy to get him in that day. I asked a few people for referrals and was told about this place. I called on and they told me to bring him in right away. After he was checked in, Jessica came in to speak to me about her thoughts and what the Dr. was going to do and what I could expect. I told Jessica that we recently had lost another pet and that I wanted to do anything to make sure my guy was taken care of. I will say that when I brought him in they were unexpectedly busy but really made me feel comfortable even though there were so many other pet owners there. After the diagnosis they properly treated him and ever since he has been improving every day. Can't say how much I appreciate the ladies here and all they did. Will most certainly refer this place.

We had an emergency this weekend with our 9 year old Italian Greyhound. We were referred there from a 24 hour vet clinic. We are so blessed to have been referred there. They took great care of our little guy. We called every three to four hours, over the course of 48 hours, to check on his status. They gave us a status report and allowed us to ask general questions about his behavior such as if his tail is wagging, or if he appears excited to see a human (he loves people more than other animals), etc.. They even took a couple of photos and listen to our suggestions on how to keep him comfortable (he likes his head covered when he sleeps). Highly recommended if your pet is experiencing a medical emergency.

Don t trust these people. I took my cat there because of a concern with his urination. The doctor and reception staff were fantastic, but the nurse was an absolute disgrace. She claimed my cat was aggressive which has never been the case with him. I understand he was stressed and scared and may have acted out, but she basically said he was attacking her which is a joke. She used that as an excuse as to why she hurt him to the point of significant blood loss. He s worse off now than when I brought him in. He s scared, disoriented, and hurt.

When I got home and unwrapped the bandage, I saw THEY HAD LEFT THE CATHETER IN HIS LEG. I honestly can t believe this level of negligence. I called to ask what to do, and they literally lied to me. Sarah said, I pulled it out myself.

Pictures attached.

My cat Zeus was missing for two months. He was found and taken to the Humane Society then referred to the ER at VCA. When I finally got to see him, I did not think he was going to make it. My dog went to ER at 5 am on a Saturday with a high fever and lameness. He saw an ER Dr, an internist, and a neurologist that day. I was very impressed that he was able to see two specialists on a Saturday.

A couple of weeks ago I was home visiting my parents and their dog became ill and progressively worsened throughout the night. I called ahead as the website requested and was told to bring him in. They immediately took him back, only stopping to ask his name so that they could attend to him while I filled out paper work. Everyone was so kind and caring and the only reason that I can't say that I loved the experience was that we had to make the decision to help him pass on to the rainbow bridge. Given the difficult decision, the staff and Doctor were very kind, compassionate and caring. The vet helped him go peacefully and painlessly. What I appreciated about the vet (Dr. Wentworth) was that she ran a base line test to assess his condition and then came out to talk to us. She did not run a bunch of tests and spend a bunch of our money then tell us she could not help him. She was upfront about his condition, the cost and upward battle we would have to face with his health so we could make an informed decision. She made her recommendation as to what she thought was best for Oscar and we greatly appreciate it for being a sad time! Thank you!

I think the people who have been wronged by the on...

I think the people who have been wronged by the ongoing incompetence of this place have been too hurt to relive it by writing a review.

Take your pets to Fall Creek Veterinary Clinic for better care with more advanced equipment for 1/3 of the price.

From the inflated billing to the incompetent, egotistical vets and admin staff, nothing about this place is worth your time. A few of the vet techs are compassionate but unfortunately they don't call any shots.

They discharged our dog who we brought in through the ER and even though I said I was worried he should be sent home because he was really in a bad way, she assured me that he was not in "mortal danger" and he "isn't going to pass tonight or anything."

After three hours of having him home and knowing he was still unwell, at 4am we took him back to the ER where they recommended we hospitalize him "if it will make you feel better" and we had to make a 50% deposit on estimated services. I told them I felt like he was dying and they assured me again that he would be okay and to go home and not to worry. They called at 7am they called to say he died.

I called them back and asked to handle the outstanding bill before coming in to see him (we've made payments via phone before) because I knew I would be too upset to stand in the front office surrounded by people to settle up a bill for my dead dog. They refused to let me do this and INSISTED that I pay in person before they let me see my sweet baby. I begged them for this small kindness, to please let me pay now over the phone before I get there and they absolutely would not let me.

They offered us a cremation service which I definitely wanted and asked for a nose print. I already have a paw print and his hair so it was very important to me to have that nose print. They told me I would pay for a private cremation package with nose print, paw print, and hair clipping. Fine. If that's what I have to do for the nose print. I called back twice to confirm th nose print. My mother called to confirm because she didn't know I already paid and wanted to tak care of it. They told her also I'd have a nose print. I have this on a voice recording where they said it.

Guess what?

NO NOSE PRINT. They heavily implied I was lying and that they did nothing wrong and that I am just upset because I lost a pet.

I hate this place. They let us down for years and I regret how I failed my baby by allowing him to come here for years.

I took my 19 year old cat, Punkin here for an emergency. I called the VCA clinic on W 86th street because this is where my cats records are.....in the midst of the crisis I did not notice the VCA on 86th closes at 11:00PM now. Their phones roll over to the VCA in Fishers but they did NOT BOTHER TO TELL ME THAT when I called to say I'm on my way. Instead they said "OK we we'll pull up her records and be ready for your arrival." I drove all the way to W 86th Street. 18 minutes away when I was 5 minutes away from Fishers. My cat was dying for God's sake!. This was at 2:00AM. I ran every light and broke every speed limit to go to the VCA on W 86th Street to find it closed. When I called the W 86th Street number I asked where are you??!! I was casually informed "oh we are in Fishers". Whaaat?!!! Her only excuse as to why I was not informed of their location on the initial call I was informed she didn't talk to me on the initial call. We drove the 18 minutes back to Fishers, with a barely breathing cat by this time. The receptionist was uncaring and cold. My cat died. After having me fill out a bunch of forms, on check out they got my cat's name wrong, address wrong, phone number wrong but damn if they didn't get the credit card number right. My humble advice for a crises in the middle of the night confirm where you are going. I called the both VCAs the next day and they apologized. Yeah...tell that to the the cat who suffered 40 minutes longer than she had to....I get it she was old but this is egregious. There are no words for me to explain my anger, sadness and frustration. My cat would probably not have survived given her age but yours might. Just take heed to this cautionary tail. Pun intended. Furthermore, I got no diagnosis. Other than a mass or fluid on her kidney's. Yes, I knew she had CKD. I was too upset to formulate questions. A kidney mass didn't cause the labored breathing did it? Wish I knew. Their attitude was she's old "it just might be time to say goodbye". While this this may have been true, I still dont know what happened. I made the agonizing choice to have her euthanized. I question this whole experience now. What could I have have done differently...would it have mattered? This was one of the worst nights of my life. Please check with your vet and see who they recommend that's open 24 hours. I am absolutely heartbroken and LIVID.
