Terrible customer service when I called in for thr...

Terrible customer service when I called in for three days with no interne service. The guy on the phone told me it could be up to four days before someone called me to come out because they were too busy and working saturdays and I could cancel service if I didn t like it. You would think a company would have better customer service and business integrity to take care of service problems. Very disappointed in the quality of service with this company and the internet speed it not good especially for paying $100 a month.

Recently I posted a review I was very negative about the service that I had received (or hadn't received) from this company. On Monday a day or two after the review I finally was reached out to by the company. They were very professional and their tech who has worked with us before was very prompt and professional. The company switched out what needed to be switched out and got us back up online. I actually told the management I would delete my review after I saw the system working for a couple of weeks without interruption but I do believe I need to be fair and at least follow up today. The only reason I have not rated this higher at this point is because it seemed to take bad reviews to get the repairs done that needed to be done. I do appreciate the IT director and the sales/marketing manager for reaching out and will gladly follow up with another review (hopefully positive) after I see how things are going.

Great install experience. Highspeed service drops off at times leaving zero connection which is frustrating. Highspeed service is costly and they have us over a barrel, and they know it. Stop price gouging us and fix the service ineruptions.

After 17 slow and frustrating years with the same internet company, I decided to try Total High Speed Internet Service.
The staff, (on the phone and on-site for installation) was pleasant, professional and personal.
We now have a much faster connection and I wish I'd made the move years earlier!

Been fighting this crappy service for a while now, only reason I still have it is because there s not many better options right now. I pay $100 a month and only 1 person at a tim can use it. Hooked straight to the radio I get 0.25 download and 0.30 upload. When I call in they always tell me, well we ran a test on the radio, and we re not showing any issues soon as I get just a little better option, I m gone, and will never recommend Total (slow speed) to anybody.

Kip, our installer, was courteous and told us exactly what he was doing. He checked our service and helped us get up and running. We are loving the freedom of the unlimited fast internet!

We have limited providers available in our rural area. I was excited when a neighbor referred us to Total Highspeed. The install was professional and informative. We received better connectivity than we thought we were going to have. They even called the next day to tell us they made adjustments so service would stay on line consistantly.

I've been with this company for over ten years. Is the service perfect? No. Is any internet service provider perfect...no way! What I like about Total Highspeed as an internet service provider is that they quickly respond to any customer service request I have. Also, I would bet those that complain about slow service are on the smallest, cheapest plan. I have the $100 per month plan and it has been great for our family. There are limitations to a wireless provider, but when you choose to live a rural lifestyle like our family, some of your internet choices are limited. I'll take Total Highspeed's unlimited plan over paying $50 per gigabyte with Verizon or other companies.

I am SOOOO pleased with Total High Speed. At our offices in Mountain Grove Mo we dealt with a very unreliable Century Link. Moving our business service to Total High Speed has kept our business running smoothly. As far as our home service, we had only one choice in providers - Hughes Net which is very expensive and a limited amount of metered internet available on a monthly basis. THS services was not available for our home location "in a valley" and Total High Speed went above and beyond to find solutions, even adding a tower in order to relay to our house. The service is now super fast - well beyond anything we got with our metered Hughes Net and now unlimited to boot. Welcome to us people who live in the "boonies" to the internet revolution!

Unstable service in rural areas, unfortunately not much of a choice. We pay 75 a month for Internet and it's not reliable, most of the down times is after business hours, around 7-11 pm and on weekends. Wish it was more affordable for what you get.

I had to have a tower put up on my property. The installers were friendly and was timely. There was an issue with some back order parts but Craig came out in the rain just to get me going while parts were being tracked.

Worst internet I've ever had. I have the $100 plan (any plan you get is a complete rip off) and I still have trouble loading up live streaming. I play a lot of games and the connection is horrid. This internet is like a roller coaster its good for an hour and then all of a sudden it takes 5 minutes to load a page and you might as well hot spot your phone.

You call tech support they always say everything is fine, but it never is. I talked to one support member who didn't even know what a modem was.

The only reason I have this internet is because its the only one offered in my area with unlimited use. If you have other options, even ones such as straight talk wireless, use it. Don't get ripped off.

Update 9/7/17: Service is still terrible. Had a billing issue (which I'm not even sure about, because I know I have money.) but can't do anything because of their terrible business hours. (Really? Your business department is only open for 9 hours a day?) Finally decided to switch to unlimited lte service and works even better than the $100 plan. Live streaming, gaming, everything works perfect. I wish I would of found this option sooner!

So far so good! I really like this company's integrity. Compared with the sharks at the satellite companies, Total Highspeed really seems to care about getting us connected, rather than just collecting their payment regardless of our satisfaction. I've been very happy with their service and efforts to get us decent speeds and data. Especially since we are way out in the country and having reliable service was near impossible before we found them. Sure it costs us a pretty penny, but it came with quality and follow through. I'd recommend this company over anyone else.

Since then, the internet stopped working, the website is down, and when I call the service number it sounds like someone is talking underwater and I cant even make out the service menu. Not a great start. Luckily no contract, we will give them another week, that when were supposed to.cancel with our prior provider

First what do you get in terms of internet connect...

First what do you get in terms of internet connectivity? It's slow compared to what you likely get in city limits/town. I don't get cable or dsl where I live. If you move out of town this service won't likely be as fast as what you got before if you get a typical residential plan. If you use multiple devices at the same time it will be slower for each device. So yeah, it is slow. But there are no data caps. Satellite and wireless cell tower services (ATT, Verizon etc.) throttle (slow) your service after you reach a certain usage point. I have heard satellite internet is lousy in most cases. So a service like Total Wireless with no data caps and low latency is the best overall rural option if you like streaming movies or just use a lot of internet bandwidth. Expect some buffering slow downs at times. Again, your expectations should be lower. My experience is that it is adequate if you manage your bandwidth. I hope technology improves in the future to somehow increase speeds.

8/11/16 I will say this about their field tech folks: Never had a bad one. I'd been having some issues recently and a tech came out and moved my service to a new tower by line-of-site. No service charge. You don't see that much any more.

Terrible, overpriced service. They get you with being one of the only local options for rural homes. We called to end service, and we're supposed to have service through May 21st. The day after we called we noticed the service had slowed even worse than it was before, and now it doesn't work at all.

Use the Hotspot from your phone. You'll find faster speeds than you'll ever get from this price-gouging company.

Their Customer Service is pretty good. Although it did take longer than it should have to convince them we needed service the first time since then they have been good about sending out a technician in good time each time we've needed it. Unfortunately, that has been fairly frequently.
The Internet service itself is not very reliable and we disconnect constantly. Despite claims to the contrary, service can be affected by weather; our speeds sometimes slow down and our connection often becomes less stable during rain and snow.
Finally, their prices are ludicrously high to the point of being insulting, so you'll only be getting gouged by this company if you have no other option. Sadly, with satellite having too much latency to be an option for gaming, they are literally the only game in town for many rural customers.

Updated Review. My previous experience with the previous generation equipment was poor, Like most of the recent reviews. Recently however, Total Highspeed just installed a BRAND NEW WAVELENGTH system at our house and it is LIGHTNING FAST with really low ping and has not dropped once in the last few weeks since install!

I am talking <25ms ping and 100mbs download and 100mbps upload! It seems like the real deal and am VERY HAPPY with this setup.

We will have to see with time if storms or other issues cause problems with this wireless setup, but if you are in the country like me without many options and they are able to offer this new service in your area, try it out! It is working great for me in the Nixa/Ozark area.

Like most people said, with the previous generation equipment, we were out of service way too many days every week, not to mention the slow speeds of 1mbps or worse when we were supposed to get 10mbps. We were much happier with the DSL service as at least it was stable, even though slow. This is a game changer for them and I am so excited to finally be able to have a FAST, RELIABLE connection.

150 dollars is the amount I owe each month for using this company s internet. I get to use the internet maybe 4 days of the week, and in those 4 days I like to relax and play games but never can because I can t keep a stable connection, it s not router related because I went the extra mile and got the best ones on the market and have programmed it via app. Now I understand technically difficulty. But I swear it s something different every day. but anytime I wanna use the internet I have to call in and ask why it s not working and that gets old, I shouldn t have to do that almost every time. I pay way too much for the service I have for it too work like this. I hope this company can help me out and make things right. Still good internet when it does work, but getting it too work is a 50-50 chance. On top of this I live in a rural area and my cell service is next to nothing so I heavily rely on this company for communication. Either way, this company gets 3 stars from me because of the very poor speed/connections and it s unfair pricing to match it. But there team who handle the calls are very nice, very understanding, very professional and I would give them a 5 star alone. Anytime I experience some issues (like right now) they typically give me an answer and help out with the billing sometimes. I don t think I would refer this company to a friend yet, not until they give out more speed or unless they live in the city. Totally disappointed with both the service and communications with this service provider. Installation took 3-4 tries to finally install (one time was due to weather so not their fault) & two times bad scheduling. The installer did not test after installation and was another 2 weeks without service and only offered 1 day of credit. No one offered to do anything to make the billing right nor to salvage a customer. Not expecting anything for free but I do expect to get service for my money!!!

The slowest overpriced internet on the market. I can't wait for AT&T to update their lines so I can switch. Not much better than dial up service. My son can't do his homework and me be on my phone using the service at the same time. I refuse to bump to the next level because it isn't enough to notice a difference. The best thing about TH's service, for me, is that I finally have another option and am able to CANCEL TODAY! We've been customers for 10 years (!!)...all of them lousy. Service is expensive, slow and unreliable. Tech support, which we seek OFTEN, usually boils down to "Reset it...if that doesn't work, the problem is on your end." I got to the point that I would accept AWFUL or NO service rather than call f'n customer "service" again and deal with half an hour of pointless frustration on the phone. I could go on and on, but the review (below) by Jeffry Marler EXACTLY mirrors my experience...read his review and believe it!

The bottom line is this company has a near monopoly over it's rural, internet hungry customers, who have no (or few) other options. This entitles them to overcharge and under-provide.

But - happy day for me - I'm calling right now to cancel my service! Yay!

Here's what you're getting when you get Total Highspeed internet.

All towers have a limited gigabit bandwidth, but with hundreds of people using it at any one time you can find yourself unable to load a page for hours on end.

Technicians do not have or have limited formal education for the positions they were hired for. Even if you jump their "3 tiers of tech support" in my 7-8 years of having this internet I've only talked to a third tier technician once or twice.

Service will degrade over time to a point that it will violate your negotiated limits, but no effort will be made on their end to fix the problem unless you personally call them multiple times. It took me 3-4 months to get a field technician out to my house to line up my antenna.

The thousands upon thousands of customers that were grandfathered in from Total Wireless were told that our contracts would not be honored. This includes them reserving the right to shut down your internet and charge you 75% of your bill to turn it back on.

It is always your fault for their internet not working correctly.

We just signed up with Total Highspeed Internet Solutions a couple of weeks ago and we are very satisfied with our experience so far. We live in a rural area, but my husband works for a technology firm based in California, so internet reliability and speed were very important to him. The new connection we have with Highspeed is a big improvement in reliability of download speed from our old provider.

We were very pleasantly surprised at how quickly Highspeed came out to install their system on our roof -- especially since we had had major storms and flooding just the day before! Kip Smyth did an excellent job of installation, and we were up and running in no time.

I guess our only "complaint" would be that my husband would like an even faster service. We understand that is on the near horizon at Highspeed Internet Solutions, and for being in a rural area, it already beats the other services hands down!

I was surprised to see the 3+ star review until I noticed the good reviews are more than a year old. This service is terrible! It s expensive and unreliable. The service is down every evening and weekend, which is when the company goes to after hours tech support, which means the phone is answered by people who can t fix anything. (Though this may be an improvement over the daytime support people who claim the problem is your router or your too many connections even when their radio signal isn t functioning at all.)

Total Highspeed is only for desperate, rural people who have no other option. Prepare to pay $100-$150 a month for occasional internet service but avoid doing business with this company if it s at all possible!

I think they do maintenance on it regularly during the day on weekdays or something because it regularly seems to go out for an hour or longer between 12-5. Sadly this is when I need it to work. It's slow but reliable most of the other times (unless it's storming). Even with the more expensive plan :( too bad it's the only option that isn't satellite in rural Southwest Missouri.

This ISP has not be able to provide reliable speeds for the past 2 years, the latency has been in the 1000 s on many occasions. Every time I have called to complain I have been put on hold for a long time, and when I stop working at 3:00 and their customer service ends at 5:00 this prevents me from talking to anyone. When I am able to contact service they say they are working on it and it will be fixed in 1 week, they said that 16 months ago, and it is still no lt anybetter. I would switch ISPs but this is the only provider in my area. I do not recommend this ISP to anyone for any reason. I think the fact that I could not use my wi-fi to write this review says enough about this ISP.

I have used all of the internet services available in my area since I moved here 20 years ago, nothing but problems and lies from them . Total high speed is the best internet service I have had . They are right here in my state if I need them. They are an American company.

We have been with Total Highspeed for several years and have been extremely impressed with their customer service. Yes, we have had some connection issues along the way. However, I can't attribute this to them, since we live in the middle of 72 acres of woods. They (Carl) have always been eager to try to correct the problem and would offer suggestions to even lower our monthly bill. If you make the decision to live outside the city limits, then you have to accept that internet service is not going to be perfect. We are delighted that Total Highspeed is available to us and that we no longer have to rely on dial-up or a mobil hotspot. The new equipment upgrade they just installed on the towner has helped a great deal and I can't say enough about the young man who came out to switch out our equipment. He not only made sure I had internet service, but he also made sure my Apple TV app was working properly. He did all this so I was a happy and satisfied customer on a day when they were trying to change equipment on 70 plus customer's homes. That speaks to their level of commitment and the desire to provide the best service to their customers. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs internet service and is outside the areas serviced by traditional internet providers.

I have been using Total Highspeed for years. Any time I have had any issues with the service (like lightning striking the tower), they have always been prompt in fixing it. After years of suffering through Hughesnet (a service I would not recommend to anyone who needs an actual internet connection and has options), this company has been fantastic.

I posted the review below a little over a year ago. Since then THS has worked to correct the connection issue we were having, and in my opinion have gone above what anyone would expect an ISP to do to correct the issue. We now have a reliable connection with near 100% up-time. As THS continues to grow, I hope they can keep that small company "customer first" attitude. Bottom line is I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone whose ISP choices are limited by their location.

Like other reviewers have said, the customer service is above average. The problem is the frequency that we have to interact with the CS reps. My wife and I are mobile workers, so a solid internet connection is a must. We had been with Hughenet (which did not work well with VPN connections) for several years, and were excited when THS became available in our area. At first we were very happy with THS, as the connection didn't suffer the latency issue associated with the satellite (Hughes) connection, but that faded pretty quickly due to the constant service interruptions. After the first couple times on the phone with tech support, it's now become routine to cycle power to the outdoor unit and router. If this doesn't work, it's usually an equipment issue on one of the towers.

Bottom line- if you live in a rural area, your choices are pretty dismal, and quite expensive ($100 a month for a 1 mps connection at THS!) If you don't depend on your internet connection for work, THS is probably an OK alternative to Hughes, and will actually seem faster due to the low latency.

I have had total high speed for over 6 years. Unfortunately they are the most reliable service available for my rural location because their customer service is garbage. I've had countless billing issues and the girls in their billing department are very unprofessional. They play games with your connection when there is conflict. I've actually had to drive to their office and meet with the owner in person as a result of the unprofessional behavior in the billing department. For that reason alone I would not suggest this provider if you have other options.

Customer Service has been great so far, installer Nick was awesome. Speeds are what they advertise, just wish their prices were a little more inline with other ISPs. The fact the the wireless connection can do much much faster but i'm still paying $100 for 1Mb is a little baffling.

THS is a good internet service, but like other reviewers, every so often I have to reboot everything. I get "limited" connection messages, the first two times I emailed support and it magically went away! Third time I disconnected their POE and my router, brought it all back up, and the "limited" disappeared. Today (holiday weekend) I again got the "limited" message - called and was asked to disconnect POE (all lights on POE and router & security were good), then reconnect. Nothing. Then asked to unplug POE and directly plug into laptop - because it worked as hard wired, told to factory reset my router. Whaaaattt? So instead I did the unplug IN ORDER, POE, router, reboot - then I push connected after the reboot and everything was fine. I'm sorry but when you tell someone to factory reset the router without properly rebooting system and finding out if they can push connect seems overkill. But all other interaction with CS has been great, today not so good.

I had good communication with the company over the phone. I had to reschedule my install date and did that easily over email. They were prompt in replying within an expected time period. The install went great and I really liked the guy who came to do it. I live off grid on solar panels in the middle of no where. I was able to get good internet using their "line of sight" equipment. The equipment uses very very little electricity, about 7 watts! The wireless router I bought was a netgear and between the two I have internet with less then 10 watts of continuous power. Just amazing. Fit my application perfect. For the speed the price seems a little high, but also, there really are no other options for me. Overall I'm very happy.

Great communication in regards to equipment upgrades. Service Personnel arrived as scheduled and work was completed in a satisfactory manner. I appreciated the fact that the company contacted me after the service work was completed and wanted to know if I was satisfied or not. Very pleased with service.
