What we want !!!

What we want !!!

We arrived by plane from Italy in the late night without any luggage, lost by air company.
The concierge was very helpful and gave us all the help he could.
We checked in immediately in our rooms.
The hotel was what we want: the right place, the right money, the right rooms and the right persons.
Not luxurious but if we want this in this place so close to Times Square we couldn't spent this money.
Sure a good choice in New York city center centered.

I went on vacation to NYC two weeks ago with my mom and brother.
A hotel where people are super welcoming, attentive and kind.
Rooms may not be super modern but there is everything you need and MATTRESSES OF MADNESS! Super comfortable!
Having seen reviews from people talking about noise, I brought earplugs with me but ultimately didn't use them.
I got injured while on vacation and the staff asked me how I was every day which was very nice.
Great location, we could go out anytime 24 hours a day to buy something to eat.
Near the Metro.
I highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel floors are very filthy needs new rugs needs the wall need to be painted very very tacky. The price is very high they charge you like it was a five-star hotel and really it's a one-star Hotel. There Are Using Many Floors For Shelters. The city now pays to put up a mind-boggling 11,000 homeless people in hotels and they are using this Hotel Also nearly one in six of the roughly 61,000 previously in shelters costing taxpayers an average $222 a night compared with $150 a night in shelters.

To whom it may concern,

To whom it may concern,

It was the worst customer service experience we ever had. This complaint goes to Lynda, the receptionist. She is a white middle age woman with a short gothic dark hair style. She got very offensive. Her customer service skill was below average (plus her look was unprofessional at all!). We had reservation for 2 rooms with my name as a guest on our booking itenary (email and print out). She was having an issue looking up the name on the reservation, which I reiterated couple times that what was shown on our itinerary. She didnt show any effort to facilitate on looking any further in the system. When we showed our frustations, and I started to speak to my sister in our mother s tongue language , she got very offensive. She also raised her voice and gave us that look. I am wondering if she is new or she is just a person with a VERY BAD attitudes?? Or, Does she have any issue with our ethnicity ?? (She was very snappy when my sister and I had to discuss in the different language). No decency whatsoever from her. We got that kind of vibe from her. Overall, she left a bitter taste in our mouth on OUR VERY FIRST day.

The only star that we gave was for the Supervisor/Manager, Theana, who helped us after our confrontation with Lynda, the RECEPTIONIST with BAD ATTITUDE.
Theana was very kind and patient in looking at our itenerary. Within less than 10 minutes, she was able to sort out our reservation. While Theana was trying to apologize for the inconvenience, Lynda was right next to her and she was still very cold. Theana set an example of what the customer service should look like.

There was another concierge staff who was very kind in answering our question. We forget to ask for his name.

I do hope the management can work in improving the customer service. As we all know Customer service plays a major role in the Hotel business. It's also a key point of differentiation which helps to attract fresh customers in a competitive business environment.

I must write this review just because it was such a terrible encounter between us with the receptionist.
Otherwise, i would have accepted if Lynda was having a bad day and she only came up with attitudes. BUT the way she INTERACTED in words with her face and body gesture, it was very incompetent. she would not fit in working at the front desk at all.

Sincerely,

A disappointed guest.

We just checked in and our room smelt like someone had been smoking in here and the room is so so old... we paid a lot for 2 nights and down the road we can get it for quarter of the price and newer. We are really disappointed and will not be booking here again. The lobby is the only semi nice thing.

The staff is really nice and always in the willing to help you, the hotel is well located with a lot of restaurants nearby, it's really clean, with nice views of Manhattan.

The food shop in the lobby is closed in a big part of the day wih means that if you are hungry for a snack, a coffe o something like that you have to go outside. In the other hand i've been in other hotels in the area where at least you have access to a snack bar in every time, something that can be really appreciated by the customer.

Unfortunately the front desk staff are very very unfriendly and mean, when ever you ask them a question they wont answer your questions and will tell you see your confirmation email, you wont be told that you will pay an extra 40$ mandatory when you reserve the room, and will know that when you are checking in, I went through the whole confirmation email I received it is not mentioned anywhere.
But to be fair the room are good not amazing, the place is near the times square.

They should name it a hostel not a hotel its a pigsty . The a/c seems from the 80 the decor is old the carpet is dirty the room is reckless and they didnt bother them selves changing the signs of the emergency exit it has the logo of the sheraton hotel the house keeping are bad and unhelpful , its the worst hotel I have ever booked.

One of the worst hotels i've ever stayed at. Doesn't even deserve one star. Whoever owns this slum should be ashamed. Filthy, hvac non-functioning, stained carpet and wallpaper, outdated decor, abysmal custoner service (or should I say customer non-service). I could go on but why bother. I'm staying here righr now and wish I was not! Run away from this place.

Really rude reception staff! Never such a thing happened. The standard rooms are crumbling. The renovated ones are good. The breakfast they offer is a thing unworthy of a hotel, it consists of a packet of paper with a drink, a thing to eat and a fruit. But the worst thing is the arrogance and rudeness of the reception staff. Room cleaning is also very poor. We entered and found forgotten clothes in the closet and toilet left dirty with physiological needs ... you can imagine! In the face of this they get annoyed too !!! Not recommended, also because you pay!

This hotel Services is really bad. I stayed here 3nights, And often I try to use room key, It didn't work. Second day night I had just come back to the hotel and I was rushing to get to my room because I had to go to the bathroom very urgently. Our keys did not work, and so we could not open our room door. This was the second time this has happened already. And then went down to the lobby to use the restroom there, but it also required a hotel room key. When I went to the registration desk there was a long line of people. I didn't want to cut in front of anybody, but I had had to use the bathroom badly. There was only one employee working, and when I asked her if I could just get a key to use the restroom, she told me I had to wait in line. I tried to plead my case but she was very rude. it's not my fault they were having problems with their system, and they keep their restroom in the lobby secured. But the worst thing was the treatment I received and the lack of urgency that the employee at the front desk had for my situation. I was very upset by her unwillingness to help. So disappointed in the service!

This is the absolute worst hotel that I have ever stayed at. The filth and grime that I encountered was shocking. When I tried to use the shower, I opened the curtain to find long hair all along the shower walls and tub. There was no air conditioning on an 81 degree day, and we were not informed of that until we called the front desk to complain. The staff was repeatedly rude and condescending to me and my family. I would have been more comfortable at a motel 6 (and it would have been cleaner as well). I wish I could give this hotel less than 1 star.

Staff was friendly. The room was not as pictured on the website. It was really out dated and had a lot of cosmetic damage. The vent in the bathroom may have never been cleaned. We were on the 19th floor. The location is great if you are going to a show or want to hang out in time square. I stayed on a week night and it was about 250 bucks, which given the location is cheap.
The bed was comfortable and the room was mostly clean.

Alisson have been really helpful in checking us in! The only thing I don't like is the toilet bathtub that looks kinda old and the faucet can't stop dripping. Other than that it's a very good experience!

I booked the hotel without looking at the reviews, and I wish I had. Overall, if you're looking for a cheaper place to stay that's close to Times Square and you just need a place to sleep - this could work for you. But, if you're looking for someplace a little cozy and will be spending some time in your hotel, I would stray away. It deceptively looks nice in the lobby, but once you get up to your hotel, it's run down and dirty. Wallpaper is peeling from the walls, the bathroom has stains with knobs falling apart/missing pieces, the carpet didn't feel clean, I didn't want to walk around barefoot, and the sheets had some small holes in it.

We arrived really early since we had a red-eye, just to check in to see if we had the room available. Since it wasn't, we left our luggage with the bell boy, who said, "The service is free, just you need to tip me if you'd like." When he returned with our ticket number, he asked us if we were going to tip. It felt strange to be pressured to tip (we were going to anyway, but you shouldn't tell your guests to). We asked if we tip before or after we come back, he insisted now since he didn't know if he would be in later. So if we did now and he wasn't in at the later time, we are expected to tip twice?

The front desk staff was friendly. They were able to accommodate and help us as we tried to check in earlier than the check in time.

Fortunately, since we were never in the hotel, it was fine for us to just sleep and head out the next day. Otherwise, I would have spent a little more for a much nicer hotel. The location is great, but that's pretty much it.

If you base your expectations off the pictures on the website you'll be sorely disappointed. Nothing outside of the lobby has been updated since the late 80's/early 90's and it sort of just felt like I was staying in a really tall motel 6, some of which were nicer than what I just stayed in.

The only saving grace of the experience was the hotel's location right off of time square. It was nice to be able to walk everywhere I wanted to be in Times Square and Broadway but next time I am far likelier to try Row or the Marriot.

Reserved a room and flight through Expedia. Had an issue with my flight so had to cancel the trip 5 hours after reservation was made and was not able to re-book. Unfortunately Manhattan Times Square Hotel has a no refund policy. Even though it was still almost 2 weeks out from the arrival date and only 5 hours from the reservation time, the manager at hotel would not grant a refund or even partial refund, so I am out $150. I am employed by one of the largest hospitals in the Southeast and would be very disappointed at this level of customer no-service at my facility. I hope everyone will be wary of this hotel's policies in the future.

The only upside to staying at this hotel is it's location and the affordable price... other than that the hotel does not offer anything. The beds were terrible I was up every hour of the night because I was so uncomfortable, the rooms are a little outdated.. especially the bathrooms. Although I only stayed for one night, I was not impressed. Definitely will spend the extra money for a nicer hotel next time.

They double charged my card for a 2 room reservation. When I called to straighten it out, they acknowledged that the guest stayed but the rooms were double booked so the charges were valid. What? Your staff screwed up and i'm paying over $700.00 in fraudulent charges? Do not use this hotel unless you enjoy being scammed.

There rooms are disgusting I pulled my bed sheet back and found the mattress in terrible condition.if I could add pictures of the mattress I would... And upon staying there I found out that they converted some of the rooms into a shelter for families with children

The rooms were hardly clean. There were several places where parts of the room were breaking down. We were in a group and some of the members of our group staying in other rooms had insects in their rooms. We also payed $200 to get all of our luggage taken up for us and that never happened.
JUST DON'T !

cleanliness is a huge reason for my 1 star rating as well as the fact that I got over $600 worth of items stolen from my room. It had to have been housekeeping because no one else was in my room except for me. I had random clothing stolen as well as some new wireless apple earbuds stolen. I really feel violated and so unhappy with how the whole situation was handled. Also, wifi is not free as stated.

This is a really nice hotel although there are better hotels like the New Yorker. It is located a few blocks from times square. This is one of the best hotels although you can get better in New York and I would aim to get better.

Rooms are clean but need updating. Peeling wallpaper rippled carpet. Staff is pleasant and very helpful. Location is key here great access to Subway and within walking distance of a lot of attractions. Starbucks in the lobby is great but I wish it was open longer than noon.

Do not book looking at the pictures of this hotel room. Those are not the real ones.
I booked for 3 nights and On the first day of my arrival, room was smelling like sweat. Bed sheets were ripped off and there was a dead bed bug sticking on the ceiling. On my 2nd and 3rd day, nobody did housekeeping on my room. I have been travelling so frequently and have stayed in multiple hotels. And i had never got any experience or service like i got in this hotel. The responsible department should really take care for what is going in the hotel . This was first time and it will be my last time in this hotel.

It was great the experience in this place .. the service is differentiated and exclusive easy access to all the tourist points .. access to metro bus terminal and great restaurants. The mahammed service was sensational one at the reception and another at the cafe had also the Chaun (do not know how to spell his name) nice attentive and extremely polite people did everything for us to have a great stay.

Reserved in Priceline name your price. Paid in full. I mention off any other fees. Then when you get here they tell you that they have a $45 a day resort fee for the amenities the list. WiFi, gym and free calls. Are you kidding me. The rooms are run down and staff was ok up until I started in in the few. Great location but I would not stay here again or use Priceline.

This hotel is by far the worst hotel my family and I have ever encountered, they do not deserve even 1 star. During our flight from Sydney to LA, my mum got very sick which resulted in us having to find accommodation in LA for the night and not continue with our connecting flight to New York. My dad phoned the Manhattan and explained our situation and said that we will be checking in a day late instead, which we were told by some lady that was fine. We arrived at the Manhattan the next day to check in only to find out our reservation for the week was completely cancelled and they claim they had no record of my father calling them. The staff were unapologetic, rude and took no accountability whatsoever. DO NOT STAY HERE

The rooms are not so up to date. They had horrible wall paper and carpets. Kind of had a motel feel to it. I will definitely not add this to the list of great hotels I've been to.
