Staying at this hotel on Times Square was supposed to be a early birthday gift along with a show. At the arrival of the hotel, I thought okay its not perfect but it wil due. Then we go check in and their was an issue with the price of the room. A really big difference in price but again, we paid the extra and went up to our room. We get on the elevator and head to our room and this is where the real issues start. The minute the elevator open you can clearly see that the hotel rug is filthy. Some ares of the rug was rolled up and the walls were visibly dirty. Then we get to our room and based on what we already saw from the elevator to our room, Im thinking this looks more like a motel then a hotel. Then we open the door. Its doesn't smell clean at all. Its actually like a musty smell in the air. The rug again is filthy. The wall is dirty also. The night stand was not wiped clean at all. Then the tub had this nasty stain inside it. On top of that the pillows under the pillow cases are dirty beyond measure. We had to take away
Two of them off the bed. The pillow cases do not close so you can see the pillow. The pillows has Sheraton hotel tags on it. I had to use my shirt to cover the pillow as well. If I could have given a no star review, I would have. I will NEVER stay here again. I will NEVER stay in New York again at all. I will visit but never stay. I am truly disappointed with this hotel. I feel like the pictures on the internet are so false. It's nothing like it once you view it in person. Do yourself a favor and never stay here!!!! Unfortunately I have no choice but to stay this one night here. I am checking out asap tomorrow morning. This place is trash.

Avoid at all cost you pay the service charge when you check out they tell you that money will go back into your account still waiting sent the hotel so many emails just to be ignored not good enough

The whole reason for the 3 stars is the location and customer service of some staff. Others don't seem to care about their job. The rooms are dated and not well maintained. Had to change rooms because original was filthy, peeling wallpaper seen in almost every room. The only rooms that have been renovated are on the 18th floor, other than that, it seems like an older, busier and a little neglected motel 8. But the location is supreme.

This place is awful, the downstairs is nice and the pictures are nice. But then you get into the room and its immediately a regret. The water would not drain. The door-nob fell off. The faucet did not turn off the water. The beds are gross. The floors are gross. The walls are so ugly with spots on them. Only positive is no bed bugs and you are close to times square.

Room was dirty, ceiling in bathroom was peeling, mold in the corners of the walls, sheets dirty with stains and just overall DISGUSTING! Would never go there again and wouldn t recommend anyone to stay here. Pictures were deceiving online on what rooms really look like. They tried to give us another room but that one was dirty as well. Horrible

The hotel in general is good my room was a bit old-fashioned and smelly but otherwise the services are excellent and the location of the hotel is enviable is one step away from everything.

Not a very great experience. Rooms are very basic looks like a budget hotel. Electric sockets and switches were almost broken. Rooms desperately needs lots of improvement. Old torn carpets in gallery on my (19th) floor. Reception staff were very flat without any smile or welcoming feel. I only booked as it's very near to times square so for location point of view it's good otherwise everything else is like very basic.

I've stayed here numerous times. Although ive had my ups and downs. the bell service has made me miss my flight. i will still return here, everything is enjoyable and the staff usually does try their best.

The rooms are very old and dirty but the staff are friendly and naziu, but the hotel is average but the rooms are awful for this price, but the location is 3 min more than a 3 min buddha but it is a 3 star hotel.

The staff were very friendly. I was particularly grateful of the bellboys throughout our stay. They were extremely helpful! The rooms were ok. There is a lot of noise in New York, obviously not all was removed from behind the walls, but it was still very nice to stay here. Location is perfect

Please please don t be deceived by the pictures on the internet ! This hotel is dirty , I mean
dirty . Our entire room needed to be updated . The carpet is so stained . That is not the worst part of it . We were on the elevator and started a conversation with a gentleman who was also staying in the hotel as well . We asked him where he was from , he replied here . So we asked so what part of the city do you live in ? He replied I live here , he went on to say there is a homeless shelter on 3 floors of the hotel . I couldn t believe what I was hearing . Also
the bath tub is stained and the countertops are stained as well . The staff is very much aware that there is a homeless shelter inside of this hotel . The shame of it all !!!!

Hotel has all of the amenities. Staff are very unresponsive. They were going through a refurb when I stayed there so they were pretty hectic but they need to pay more attention to their customers.

It is terrible, walls and floor filled with humidity. It is dirty outside and inside the rooms, specialle the bathroom was digusting. The pictures they post are only of the executive rooms, which are +$200 vs the standard room. We couldnt stay the night, so we cancelled the reservation and went to park central hotel, that is a way better option and for the same price, plus it is only 1 block away.

Worst hotel ever more like motel. Looks nice on outside and main lobby once you go up and off elevator it s conpkrteky different. The hotel room stunk of mold the second we walked in I called front desk they said someone would come up. Still no one came up after 3 more calls and another 2 hours later. I then went to find a house keeper for some febreeze or something she came into room with a look of what the hell is that smell. She fully agreed with me and said the other room she was cleaning had the same smell and she doesn t know why. She told us how they re-did the 17th fl and those were all new rooms. At this point i had the window opened by a maintenance man and called front desk yet again. Told them I wanted to change rooms and what the housekeeper said. They told me they needed to speak with the housekeeper to confirm the room smell and a manager would call me back. Moving on now bc i was not going to waste my trip sitting in a hotel. We went out to a show and my husband stood waiting for a phone call from the manager which never happened !! I figured whatever i would speak to manager next morning. We went to sleep with the window open all night and i purchased febreeze myself. 5 am knocks on door. Repeatedly. I then open door a man says they need to come into room to shut off a valve in wall 3 men come walking in. I have my husband and 2 children in the room asleep. They are woken up to flashlights and the one man shutting off valve. That was the last straw. Manager was willing to refund 50% and not pay service charges. It has been 2 days and still got charged the service charge and no one is calling me back or even answering for that matter. I figured it was a nice hotel by the pictures and didn t really believe the reviews but guess i was wrong they are all accurate!!! You can see the wet spot in walls and smell the second you walk into the room. We stood on 22 floor. I did see someone get off on 17th floor and it looked completely different then the floor we stood in and any other floor for that matter. I will never stay here again very unprofessional and disgusting. Not happy.

The pictures online are deceiving. I booked a room with 2 double beds. The room was filthy, bathtub had hairs in it, 3 towels had black stains on it and a purple stain. I went to the front desk and complained to the desk clerk and than the manager. Both didnt care about it. The manager offered me another room that was worse than mine when she showed it to me. The front desk clerk told me that she couldn't do nothing about it since a lot of people complain because the hotel is old but they are renovating it. The manager wouldn't let me check out and leave unless I wanted to forfeit my money. I decided to stay and the morning manager was much friendlier and helpful. I was able to check out that morning without loosing the next day rate and she also took 50% off my previous night stay. She didnt agree how I was treated the night before and wanted to make it right. I would never stay here and don't recommend it. The morning staff was much friendlier.

Its position is excellent from a tourist point of view: a stone's throw from Times Square and many metro lines. I expected more kindness from the staff. Rooms and bathrooms were a little old

Very central hotel, excellent as a location. At the level of the normal hotel structure, there was some flaw in the reservation because, despite a large turnout, there was only one person to check in and we had to wait more than half an hour.

Very bad. Room with rooms and very old and shabby furniture. We stayed there on our honeymoon for 4 nights. 3 rooms changed after constant complaints to the hotel management and our tour operator / travel agency. On arrival we had been assigned a dirty room with dust everywhere, with broken wall plugs, unplugged power sockets ... An impact to say the least negative. Changed the room in the evening with another (they say superior) the cleaning conditions have not changed. Last two nights they assigned us, after continuous vicissitudes and expectations, a room on the top floor. Improved cleaning but deafening noise throughout the night due to the engines of the systems installed. And to think that from a budget this was the hotel with the highest cost per night!
To forget. Absolutely to be avoided. As to avoid even the agencies that sell you this hotel. 1 star and I was good.

Great location, however don t be fooled by the pictures of this place. The rooms are in shambles! Peeling paint, and dirty dirty dirty. The bathrooms are NOT as advertised. It didn t even look liked they cleaned the room. And the bathrooms smell like urine. Wish I could post pictures for the reality vs as advertised. Lobby is gorgeous and clean, they should apply that to the rest of the hotel.

The hotel is falling apart. I had a group two rooms had to be changed as they were unsatisfactory. 1 room had to be changed as a pipe burst. I was in room 1146 the carpet is pulling up and I am slightly handicapped and was fearful of tripping over the ridges. You can tell how much management cares by the cut and paste responses to customer comments. The sales office has very poor communications with front desk. It is clear house keeping not communicating with maitence. The hotel is lacking, leadership, direction and management.

Okay.
Paid 200 $(include city tax) for one night.Made check in at 4pm and they ask me to have check out at 12pm.So,200$ for not even a full day.
After that they charge you stupid 50$ charge(include tax) for Wi-Fi and drinking water which I not even use.
So,250$ for ONE NIGHT and ofcource parking is not included (which is 60$ per 24 hours in this area).Personnel on reception looks really unprofessional and rude. And in the end just take a look on pictures. That what you get for this price.

Im not one to leave bad reviews or one to leave reviews in general for that matter, but i feel compelled. If it was possible to leave no stars i would! The one star i "had" to leave is for the location which is pretty convienent. The hallways were disgusting which i couldve dealt with, the bathroom even had plaster falling off the ceiling and i couldve dealt with that as well. But when my fiance and myself along with our four small children start getting bitten up by bugs (possibly bed bugs) we kind of freaked out. Proceeded to try to discuss with a manager a solution and compromise for me having to wake my 3 small children and 5 month old baby at midnight due to some sort of bug issue, and was told they could do nothing aside of move me to same sized room and not even so much as a discount for the inconvienence. We ended up going to the sheraton which was directly across the street which was 100$ cheaper and 5x nice. I would highly suggest not staying at the location! All around terrible establishment!

We were booked in for 4 nights in April but on the 2nd day my husband got seriously I'll and was admitted to hospital and was diagnosed with leukaemia,
I found the receptionist very unhelpful and was unable to give me a name of a hospital,
And when I tried to check out urgently as I had got a call from the hospital, the lady wouldn't let me check out until I got the bell boy to take my cases from the room,I feel the staff should be trained better to handle urgent situations like these.

I was going to give it 3 stars, then 2, and finally 1. Simply put, the pros do not outweigh the cons and I'm not staying here again.

Pros (ish):
- The room itself was all right (the bed was comfortable at least)
- The water refill station (by the ice machines) is nice and sustainable
- Convenient location
- The staff were friendly ish, although I had higher expectations for this hotel
- In-room safe was large enough for laptops

Cons:
- The bathroom was tiny
- The rooms and hallways really need to be updated/renovated
- My room key stopped working halfway through my visit, so I had to take the [slow] elevator all the way back to the lobby from the 19th floor
- On that note, not enough elevators (or they're super slow) to cover that many floors
- Closet smelled musty - didn't want to store my clothes in there
- Toiletries were meh
- etc.

Overall, I've definitely had better stays in NYC for a similar location and similar prices, so I'll hit one of those hotels up the next time I'm in town.

Charge fee and insurance that does not specify the page where one bought (take off). The attention of the staff that almost none speaks Spanish is regular, they are not friendly or try to help the guest except Miss Jackie. The lady who attends the front desk at night is unpleasant. The shampoo and conditioner only left it the first day, then I had to ask for it. I received a message on the phone and since I did not know how to use it, I asked for help on the frontdesk by phone and they told me to read the instructions. The wifi is NOT free as they promote. They charge it within the fee of $ 34 per day. They charge x credit card advance the 34 dollars plus 16 insurance per day that if I do not "break" anything, the Bank will return it to me in 7/10 working days. A shameful scam. When one questions this to the hotel staff, everyone up to the manager gets nervous and the inconsistent explanations begin. Outside of that, the rooms are comfortable.

Had a reservation in May. Due to Covid we could no longer travel to NY. Terrible management to deal with. They have refused to refund or offer any sort of voucher for future travel. Sy they would refund when I talked to the manager on the phone but when our booker contacted them they refused. They constantly lie when you talk to them on the phone and won t send you anything in writing.

Will not stay here for future travels. We will all be leaving negative reviews.

Horrible hotel in terms of cleanliness, attention to the public, rooms are small, noisy, skim the shampoo ... the only good thing is its location on 7th Avenue with 51. Very close to Times Square. The facilities are outdated ... we stayed a day without hot water at the time of the shower! We had to change the room xq the heating could not be regulated and you were suffocating ... But the worst is undoubtedly the dirty thing and it is everything. The curtains have not been washed since they opened the hotel ... in the end it is sold as 4 * and it does not reach 3.

As hotels go, I've stayed in worse!
Unfortunately the breakfast part of the bed & breakfast consisted entirely of sugar laden pastries with fruit and coffee not exactly diabetic friendly!
However considering we spent very little time in there during the day it was perfectly adequate.

Avoid the entry level rooms. Do not look like the photos. Rooms from floor 18 ( executive rooms) are beautiful. Just like the photos. Reception staff fairly friendly and helpful, but not overly.

Location is the strongest point of this hotel. Two things which apparently were mentioned on the website , check-in at 4pm (checkout is noon) and an additional $40 per room per night for resort fees were an unpleasant surprise for our group on checkin.
Drinking water, which was said to be included, wasn t. You have to get it yourself from the lobby.
Luggage was all delivered, all to the one room, 20 minutes after we finally got to ours, but had to go and pick up our bags from the other room (after paying a tip for bell service).
Three sharing a room with two double beds is really not feasible if you re not very close friends.
The front-office manager was professional in handling our complaints, and tried her best to help us with our disgruntlements.

we stay at the Time Square Hotel for the weekend..location was great! but the hotel itself was very old. the window was dirty couldn't really enjoyed the view. they don't really replace the sheet or pillow cases because I had left lipstick mark on one of the pillow case hoping they would change it as I left the room that morning to go sightseeing. when I came back that evening my bed was made room was clean but my lipstick on the pillow case was still there. that tell me they don't do a good job at replacing dirty sheet. ewww!! will not be returning back.

Location was great and we were in walking distance for most of our destinations. Service was iffy. Our coffee maker didn't work and it took two days for it to be replaced. The room had a one minute cleaning job on the one day we forgot to leave a housekeeper tip. It's an older hotel, but if you remember that you're in the heart of the city, it helps you to overlook the negatives.

Always enjoy staying here. It's convenient to many places and the rates are decent. DO NOT let the doorman EVER "get you a cab"; usually these are unmarked, unlicensed, and questionable by nature. You'll get taken advantage of. Hail your own taxi or use an app for the taxis or Uber.

Tiny outdated room. We requested 2 beds or a cot for our room over a month in advance, and were told upon checkin both were unavailable. Bathroom tiles were full of mildew-
We asked for an extra washcloth and towel, and never received them.
Service was lacking in many regards. It's bad enough the rooms were and hotel as a whole was outdated and in need of renovations-good service could have made a huge difference.

Worst hotel experience I ve ever had. Hotel room was old and dirty dust on everything. Bathtub filled up with water almost to the top while showering. THEN because we booked through a third party site, they stick you with a mandatory facilities fee ($40 USD per night) but don t tell you until you check out. Just a terrible unethical way to do business. I hope this scheme puts them out of business soon.

A somewhat outdated hotel. Everything is a bit worn and sometimes not as clean. The location is perfect. Close to Broadway and Timesquare. Easily accessible by public transport.
And incredibly nice staff.
Water tap point and ice machine in the hallway. If you can see through the greasy, a great place to discover New York.

If I was rating on the location and staff I would say 5 stars. If I m rating on the rooms I would say 3. It is not THAT bad as the reviews. You have to remember you are staying in a New York City. We have a nice big TV. The wallpaper is peeling and there is dust in the corners of the room. But it is not as atrocious as previous reviews. If you re not planning on being in the actual hotel room a lot of your trip, you ll be just fine! Location is PRIME!

I would give this hotel a 1 and a half star rating. The lobby smelled like puke the whole five days we were there, our room was dated with no renovations or upkeep since the early 1970s and they only changed our sheets once over our five day stay. Although the lobby looked nice, most floors off the elevator had a rundown-apartment feel. Staff were friendly but I would recommend staying somewhere else unless you have a one night stay to see a Broadway show.

Noice.

The room that we were given was very nice. However, we made the reservations online and everything but once we got into the hotel they told us we did not have a room yet and we had to come back in like an hour. They were doing that to a lot of people that day. I find it unacceptable to let people make reservations and then when they try to check in, there is nothing available.
