I've purchased two brand new cars from Dorschel and been relatively happy with their staff, but my father recently went in to buy a van from them and was treated very poorly by the sales staff. I probably won't be buying a third car here.

My father ended up buying a utility van that he saw twice at night (in the dark) and found out it had a broken panel when he got it home in daylight. Dorschel's response thus far is basically "too bad, you bought it." Great sales tactics.
I started working with Curtis about a month or so ago because I wanted my own car. I was uncertain if I wanted a used car or lease a car. Curtis was very helpful explaining both options to me to make my decision easier. He answered all my questions and explored every option. Curtis ended up leasing me a toyota corolla and I love it. This was our second purchase from Dorschels, the first was a VW back in 06' from Tom Backer. We remembered his name because he made that good of an impression with his wonderful customer service. He was the reason we came back to Dorschels, we live in Corning so it is over 1 1/2 hrs drive from home. On this trip it was for a Toyota however. Things did not go nearly as smooth as the first time but it's how you deal with the mistakes that makes all the difference. I took delivery of a Toyota RAV4 XLE and I believed it to have factory remote start as an option. We had to have it installed a week later because it wasn't in stock at the time we drove home in our new vehicle. To our initial disappointment, we found out later that the factory remote start will not work with my trim line XLE model and only with the top trim line Limited model which costs substantially more. We worked this out amicably with Evan Stark, the Toyota sales manager. Our sales consultant was Will Heuschneider and both of these guys were terrific through this entire process. I remained very patient through this process as did both Will and Evan and as a result I am a walking talking billboard for Dorschel Toyota. They "proved" to me more than just empty words can do alone that they are committed to stellar customer service and this is The Dorschel Difference. I am loving life in my new 13' Toyota Rav4 "Limited" and the factory remote starter is a "must have feature"!!
Great customer service at Dorschel. I was fortunate to have Chris Kist, service advisor, help me with anything I needed. He kept me updated with everything during my cars inspection and I was very pleased. Will come here again for future inspections.
Not too pleased with dorschel and i dont see myself continuing business with them after this vehicle i have now. I purchased undercoating protection that never got done. Theres rust everywhere. Dorchel told me to contact permaplate, bc they cant do anything about it. I filed a claim that was denied. Id be embarrassed if i was dorschel. At my job, we fix our mistakes. Why is it different for these folks? Id love for customer service to contact me, because i am a very unhappy customer.
I would like to commend your service advisor, Max Chizuk. It was refreshing to be greeted with a welcoming smile and such efficient service. His social skills are spot on and he sailed through the process with ease. My appointment was at 7:00 a.m. and I was home by 7:35. I will request Max in the future. Please also thank the charming gentleman who escorted me in. Praise where praise is due.

My car buying experience at Dorschel was surprisingly refreshing thanks to my salesman Mike Gilman. He helped with my financing, and made sure I got the car I was looking for. Mike is definitely the most affable, attentive, and non-pushy salesman I have ever met. I have never felt more comfortable buying a car. Overall, the dealership seams to be well managed, and very professional. I will go back to Dorschel the next time around, and I would encourage others to do the same.
The collision department is superb!!! Carey Vick was the best! I'm sure that the team was excellent and so competent. My car is like brand new and I love it.
My husband and I spent at least a week going over different car options to reduce the amount we were spending on gas. We finally decided on a Prius C Two because it had the best options and price for what we were looking for. When we got there Keith Johnson took care of us. I believe it was the first time I've gone car shopping that I didn't feel suckered into paying for something I didn't need. We knew what we wanted and he gave us the best price for us. We already knew that their window prices were lower. Keith explained that they got rid of the haggling and the sales people get paid for the sale, not what you buy, so they aren't trying to push you to pay for something you can't afford. Keith walked us through step by step and we were very happy in the end. I'd go back again when we need another car and recommend this place to anyone looking to purchase a car! Just ask for Keith! In for standard maintenance. They got me in quickly and took their time to listen to what I needed and got the work done in a reasonable amount of time.
Purchased my 1st car almost 6 months ago. Was a little disappointed to find out the first week that I had 4 old tired, bad breaks and a loose cup (whatever that is) after putting down over $2,000 but I gave Upstate Auto a call and they set me up an appointment the next day. Gave me 4 new tires, fixed the cup & the breaks. Im lucky I had someone in my family that knew about cars to help me identify this problem. Idk if I would buy another car ftrom them but if this is your first car & your looking to build credit I think its a pretty convient place.
Got excellent service from Frank Moltobano. While there eventually didn't end up being any cars we were interested in, Frank helped us all the way through spending lots of time with us. He even showed us cars that weren't prepped and ready to be sold yet, trying to find us something that suited us.

Excellent service from the used sales department. We just purchased our 4th used car from this location - we would highly recommend. However whenever we've brought cars for service, we felt like we were being taken advantage of, or the sales person was unable ton answer our questions. I would recommend purchasing cars here but not having them serviced.
My experience with Dorschel Automotive group was very disappointing at best. I found a vehicle I was very interested in hopefully purchasing. So I called and set up an appointment to come down after work to test drive and check it out. After going to the first location on Henrietta Rd and talking with a secretary and a member of the sales staff and wasting a 1/2 hour of my life they told me I was in the wrong location. The first question I asked the second I walked in the door. I went to the next location down the street. I went into the building closest to the huge sign saying used cars and was informed it was the infinity dealer. So went to the third location. After stumbling around looking for a warm body to help me I had to interrupt a couple of sales staff who were sitting in and office more interested in talking about their upcoming weekend then in helping. Luckily a person helped me from a few offices over who heard my story and said there would be a sales person with me in just a moment. I gave the sales person the color copy of the car I downloaded from the internet. After 45 minutes of his trying to locate the car he couldn't find it. He suggested we grab a car and drive around and look for it. So I said call me tomorrow when you find it and I realized my 80mile (round trip) to drive the car was a waste of my time. So the sales man said he was going to text or call me when he found the car and could provide me with some information I asked for before making the long drive again and set up another appointment to drive the vehicle. The next day the dealership called and said I had a 12 noon appointment to drive the vehicle. He never called and I was working so I got the message at 5:00pm when I got out of work. I got home looked the vehicle up and this time the mileage was 58,000 more mi than when it was first displayed on the website. I would not recommend Dorschel to anyone in their right mind It was a terrible experience and gives a dealership a bad name. Dorschel get your act together your awful!!!!

I had a great experience at Dorschel working with Brett Donahue as my sales consultant. He walked me through different options of purchasing a used car and leasing. I met with him a couple of times before I made my decision, and he was very knowledgeable and patient. I ended up leasing a 2013 Camry, and I received a call from Brett a day after I made this decision saying that he had found the same car (different color) at a cheaper price! Last Sept I bought a 2015 Mustang. Sharp car. Last week, the bumper came loose. Took it to a professional body shop. I was told the car had been in an accident and the bumper was glued back in place and the side panel wasn t right either. Cost me $688 to get new bumper and painted. I called Dorschel and left a message with the young man I bought car from. I m wondering what the car fax showed. Did you know it needed repairs. I haven t received a return call yet. Thanks.

My Matrix started making a very bad noise and since I'm a service tech my vehicle is my lifeline. Called in and explained my situation and customer care arranged a service appointment the very next morning. James Ragusa was the service advisor and within 30 minutes notified me of the bad bearing and said it would be 2 hours to repair. They actually go the repair done in 90 minutes and James even informed me of a coupon that saved me money. Would highly recommend them from my experience.... These folks are great from the phone call to getting me cashed out, everyone was friendly and understood that as long as I was sitting there waiting I was falling farther behind in my schedule. By the way the free coffee and snacks they had were excellent.
Decided it was time to buy a new car and pass my old one on to my Daughter. a new Prius turned out to be the best fit for the family, so I started looking for a place to buy. After talking to multiple salesmen at different dealerships, Dorschel earned my business hands down. They way I was treated was so different and so much easier and more enjoyable than other dealers. I dealt with Will, and he was awesome, but I get the feeling that my good experience was also due in part to the Dorschel sales model that took the pressure off and allowed their people to focus on me and what I was looking for. By contrast, the salespeople at the regular dealerships just made you feel like they were out to give you the worst deal they could get away with. It was also great to have one (awesome) person to deal with throughout the whole experience and not to have to play the "let me talk to my manager" game. Due to the bad experiences like this, I have generally turned to doing my own research online and not talking to a dealer until I am ready to buy. Now that I have had this experience, I will be heading to Dorschel as soon as I know I need a car and I will be letting them educate me on my options. Overall I had a wonderful experience at Dorschel and I will be back the next time for sure.

Worst service I ever had. It only took them about 5 minutes to figure out that the light bulb of my license plate was not working lol and failed my car inspection. Asking for $38 to replace it lol. But then had me waiting for about an hour for no reason (claiming it's being car-washed, which they end up not doing it) to hand me my key. I then took it to Sears which is next door. Took them 10 minutes to complete the inspection, and they fixed the light bulb for free (it was just untightened, ridicules lol).

I live on the other side of the country and received an email from one the the sales people here about a loan agreement for a vehicle. I then called the dealership to ask why I received this email in case it was some sort of fraud. I was given the run around and people argued that it would not be possible to have received the email. They then accused me of having done the paper work then moving across the country, after informing them I've lived here for 26 years they then hung up on me.
I'm not sure how they do business with customers but if it were my money I'd go somewhere else and who knows,this could be my money and I have no idea.

I contacted Dorschel no less than three (3) times over ten (10) days regarding a luxury SUV they showed as having in stock. Not once did I receive a response by either phone or email. Perhaps they are so successful they do not need customers?
I contacted another local dealer and purchased the same year and model vehicle. I won't bother with Dorschel on our future vehicle purchases.
It was a pleasant car-buying experience. Vincent Epping was very helpful and honest. Dorschel offers the lowest price so there won't be back-and-forth negotiation needed, that's great! I did check some other dealerships around Rochester, like Dorschel claimed, they offer the lowest price for the used Toyota cars!
Nicholas Cosentino was very helpul when deciding to lease a toyota camry. When working with my parents he found a way to save them extra money by using me as a co-signer to use my new grad and toyota loves nurses savings. He went above and beyond and was not pushy at all. I visited Dorschel Toyota on Sat., Feb. 16, 2012 to get an estimate on my vehicle and test drive a Prius. I was quite impressed with two of the men I talked with: Will Heuschneider and Evan Stark. They were both personable, honest, fair, and knowledgeable. It truly was a pleasure to explore my trade options with them. I'm not sure whether I will necessarily buy my next used vehicle at Dorschel because their clear-cut pricing policy leaves them a bit higher than other local dealers, but I would be happy to give them my business if the terms were right. Be sure to ask for Will, Evan, or Frank (I don't recall his last name) if you visit Dorschel Toyota. They are examples of the kind of people you want to consult with during your car-buying experience!
It has taken them a day to service my vehicle. I understand that a recall could take 3 hours. I dropped my vehicle at 9 Am this morning. till 2.30 I have not heard from them.

I use to love Dorschel and recommended them to friends and family but that's over. I've never had such poor service or rude employees. They lied about the costs and wasted over 4 hours of my time on something that should've been 30 minutes.

Buyer Beware Volkswagon will not stand behind their engineering and now has a long history of timing chain and belt failures that will destroy your engine and they will leave you on the hook for costly repairs. The service team at Dorschel is the opposite from helpful and take way too long to do simple repairs. It's just odd that a month after a recall repair that the engine blows up with no warning at all from the service team. These guys are just outright crooks.
