Called me on the day of my appointment to tell me they wont be out and they will turn up another day because they had a bigger job (fantastic when I had taken a day off work). Gave the the wrong number to call them back and offered no compensation other than a measly 10% off for the money I lost from not working. Went with another company who completed my work for much cheaper and turned up when they were scheduled to ... AVOID, if they see more money they will bump you!. Furthermore proceeded to lie and cheat to get my review taken down. Lovely.

As a nationwide company we look for service partners who are reliable, professional and those that deliver on what they say they can.

If you have a problem and need it resolved, i really do recommend looking some where else.

Ask for an electrician, glazer or plumber you get the impression it is one guy in a van and he only works 9 to 5 Monday to Friday, and within a 10 mile radius of his house.

Appalling and unprofessional service when using pest control. Customer service was rude and not helpful at all. The website and initial contact with the company seems great but once they've got your money they don't fulfil their initial promises. Very disappointed and would not recommend to anyone.

Having broken the plug hole of my kitchen sink, I couldn't get hold of any of the more local emergency plumbers. So I found Able and gave them a ring. The lady on the phone was lovely and very reassuring and made me an appointment.
The man arrived, viewed the problem and very quickly repared it, no fuss no bother.
Absolutely a fantastic service, with trustworthy workers and for an older lady living alone is the most important thing.
I would fully recommend Able to anyone.

We told them we would not pay until we'd had a second opinion because we were unhappy with the work. We had a second opinion within a couple of days, he was a real expert, he assessed what the problem was very quickly and told us what we needed to do (for very little cost) to permanently fix the issue. The drains don't need to be rebuilt at all. Totally different experience to the Able Group cowboys.

Beware they have all the patter and are practiced in intimidation.....They said they were just sole traders working freelance for the firm and how they only got 30% of the payment. They had driven over an hour to get to our house to 'help us out'

When that didn't work they intimidated my partner to sign a form despite the fact we said we weren't happy with the work and would need a second opinion before paying. They were aggressive and angry on our doorstep. He signed in order to get rid of them. They are now intimidating us with emails.

Don't go near them

To add to that, they let their dog poo in our garden. Rather than doing the work they were walking their dog and chatting on their phones. Then they left a mess in our garden. Unbelievable.

Able were not able to deliver on a repair to a simple broken leaded window in a timely manner. It took them nearly 10 months to replace a simple square leaded window. However it only took them 1 day to issue an invoice and badger me for payment!!!

It's been 5 days. We originally had an independent plumber come out to our commercial property in Cheshire as there is a huge drain blockage problem. He couldn't tackle the issue as it requires more specialised kit. So we contacted the able group and advised them we need a large industrial solution to our problem. They sent out a guy in a little van who after poking his rod in the drain said he needs a large industrial suction device and asked for money as he'd been called out.. even though the front page on the website states there is no call out fee... he then said he'd book the tanker for the following day, this didn't show up. We chased them up the following day and spoke to a young man and he assured us the tanker had been reordered for us. We asked for email confirmation and never received it. The following day at midday we chased it up as we were told it would be here from 9 but the tanker hadn't been ordered to us and was now on another job. It's been 5 days... 5 DAYS!!!!! and we've now got permanent damage to parts of our building. We've demanded they send a tanker out today but they refused to do so and we've been told it's on its way tomorrow by another call handler.. for the 3rd time... we've gone with a different company because this demonstrates the absolute worst in customer service and promise keeping. Absolutely fuming with them. DO NOT USE THEM!!

Contacted 15.10.19 regarding blocked drain leaking raw sewage. Caller taker put us on hold for 4 minutes. Had no knowledge or idea at all about drainage systems . I am, on a spetic tank. Blockage was between manhole and inspection chamber but call taker just rambled on about cleaning the tank out which had no relevance as sewage was not reaching it !!!! Absolute was of time. Contacted another National Company, answered in 6 rings , operater understood issue and operative arrived in 30minutes. 10 minutes later issue resolved That is service. Suggest that other do the same and not bother with this call centre. ** Did not use this company due to the very condescending manner of the call taker *****

We have used Able Group twice to replace windows in our home and we couldn't fault them. Both times they were incredibly prompt to visit our property, replace the windows quickly and efficiently and at a very reasonable rate. On their most recent visit, they arrived within an hour of me telephoning them and replaced a broken pane in the most horrendous weather conditions! Definitely recommend.

*ANYONE USING THIS SERVICE PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS REVIEW* People who check google reviews will notice a common theme here. Timing and unprofessionalism. Able made my business incure extra cost (that could have been avoided) due to their lack of organisation or communication. The plumbing work needed a builder to help create access to pipes. The plumbing work was estimated to take at most 4 hours of work (less than a day) with an estimated start time of between 9:00 am to 12 noon. On the agreed date I invited my builder in the morning (before 9am) to create space and remove cabinets for the plumbers to work only for the plumbers to call at 12 noon to say they couldn't carry out the work that day and it would have to be the next day. This in turn made me incure extra cost because I budgeted for just one day of work for both the builder and plumber and had to pay the builder for an extra day. They offered a 'discount' that barely covered the cost of the extra day. It took a lot of phone calls and ONE WHOLE MONTH for them to reach this decision. In summary save your coins and try another company. Looking to spread this good message on many review sites as possible.

They say they are a 24 hour service but they took 2 days to visit for the first time.
They should have come on the 29th June for the second visit but they didn't.
They finally booked for today 9th July but they didn't come again. They said they did but I was at home all day with 2 more people and nobody heard them. If they were
here they should have called me since I said I'd be at home and I was.
I payed for nothing. The mouse is still running around.
I now understand why there's so many people giving them 1 star. And 1 star is too much.

Booked over a week in advance, various phone calls in between from us to them to ensure all was in place to guarantee attendance, confirmation the day before attendance towards close of business and a call the morning of due attendance from them to double check if the property was domestic to ensure the right engineer attended (no hint given that someone may not attend) we then received a call late morning on the day, towards the end of the given appointment window to say they could not attend as promised as they didn't have an engineer in that area. This left us really stuck as a stair lift was due in for a terminally ill patient and the gas heater was obstructing this.

Replacement lock, engineer turned up over an hour late, did the job, after he had gone I noticed 2 big chunks out of my laminate flooring.... called to complain, they were not interested in taking responsibility for the damage. Also quoted a price and didn t state it was plus vat when I came to handing over the money.

Plus I now have to pay for someone to replace the piece of laminate flooring THAT THEIR ENGINEER DAMAGED.

Plumber didn't call me prior to visit to let me know when he would arrive, he called me once he had arrived! Needed the ball cock replacing and the guy replaced the faulty part but literally ten minutes after completing the work and leaving my premises i tried to flush the toilet and it still didn't work!!! I poked and prodded the inside of the cistern and fortunately somehow it started to work!
I'm not very satisfied with the overall professionalism of the company due to no phone call to say he was on the way and then i had to readjust the part that he had just changed? Wouldn't use this company again.

Called up yesterday and booked an appointment for christmas eve as boiler has broken and then got a call at 10.20am today to say there was a mistake and no one can come for 4 days (baring in mind they were meant to be here between 8am and 12pm today) now we are left with no heating or hot water for christmas and our 18month old baby. When we phoned to complain we were put on hold for 20minutes and then shut off so had to phone off a different number. Absolute joke. Got through to the manager and got told 'dont worry you wont be charged'. They already have my card details also. Stephen Clark and joe haughton who apparently run this business really should look at their managerial skills as its appalling. Will be warning our new estate to stay clear.

I think they try to rip off when it's late, and they thought you got no choice but pay whatever they ask for! I rejected the work because I don't do business with unfair and dishonest company! I will reserve my right to complain and share my bad experience with the community! It's horrendous!

We initially called for a quote to have a wasps' nest removed & were given a competitive quote promptly. When we asked Able to come to our property they came the very next day and completed the work in a very short time. Before Able came there were a lot of wasps going in and out of the nest, which was situated just above a bedroom window so we were unable to keep it open! The worker who came to treat the nest was professional & very knowledgeable. The very next day, after Able treated the nest, the swarms of wasps were gone & we are now able to open our window & enjoy some fresh air. I would definitely recommend this company.

Called on Friday (16th Aug 19) to call out for leaking drain pipe on sink, confirmation and debit card taken no worries, all booked for Monday the 19th got a call at 0730am assuming to confirm appointment. Told that the engineer had issues and won't be on site today, told will be Thursday before another colleague could be with me. Do people not work weekends in B2C anymore? Called local guy, cheaper, will be here today and most importantly called to confirm 30mins later! Waste of time, would not recommend.

We subcontracted for ABLE GROUP for a short period and we have never been so disgusted in a company and their dealings with not only the customer but the contractors working for them. We have been waiting several months for payment, after excuse after excuse we had to make demands and threats of further legal action. Steer clear. There are much better nationals out there.

Avoid this company! Plumber who was sent to look at our boiler said he never seen this type of boiler before (one of the most sold brands!). Kept looking for leaks although we told him there aren't any. Decided to turn heating to max so had to wait almost an hour to get to the max - wasted time again as we told him the boiler is loosing pressure. After 1,5 hours of playing around he said he does not know what's wrong (= was not able to fix it) and he thinks it is not worth to repair it and we should get a new one. Totally incompetent! Complained to the company, phoned them several times,always promised to come back to us but NEVER did. Charging us for job which has never been completed!

Quick to quote, shocking after that, 7 days they said, 4 weeks later it got installed(and they arrived 2 hours after their 9-12 time frame for fitting, team in call centre were useless as they never called back and fitter appeared friendly enough but when finished I pointed out that it was wonky, he just smiled and asked me sign for the work...theres a word that springs to mind here but I won't say it because children might stumble across this review and I wouldn't want them thinking that I was as ignorant as the Able group.

Poor at communicating what they were actually offering. Later found that is because they just subcontract the job (pest wise at least) to other companies and charge a premium on top. Much better off contacting a company that can support you directly and that will care about your issue whatever it may be. And it will likely be cheaper.

I had taken an unpaid day off work to wait for an Able Group engineer only of them to cancel when they were supposed have already arrived. Next available appointment day was 5 days hence. DO NOT USE THIS ORGANISATION. THERE IS NO MANAGER WILLING TO SPEAK WITH A CLIENT AND THEY ARE HAPPY TO COST THIER CUSTOMERS MONEY.

Never had to call on Able, and I never will after experiencing one of their staff abusing me and physically intimidating me on the road this morning. (for the record, I was on a 125cc scooter). Not content with abusing a bus driver, he then turned his attention to me as I tried to ride past the incident.
The man was like a rabid dog and I'll be reporting him to Able Group. No coming back from this, I'm afraid; I will certainly NOT be using their services in the future. I think these people forget that they're essentially a walking advertisement for their company. Not a good look, Able.

Tried to use to remove a wasp nest, but they didn't come round on day agreed or let me know they weren't coming. Managed to phone through four times the next day (easily to option 2 being the sales order line, option 1 for customer services being on permanent hold). Two of the staff I spoke to were friendly and helpful, and tried their best I feel to move things on by trying to arrange callbacks from either their tradesman working the area or their own admin supervisor, but the callbacks never came. The other two staff members I spoke to seemed too immature to help. I finally gave up and cancelled the order - assuming one of these latter two staff members managed it as I haven't had any email confirmation of the cancellation. Meanwhile, a neighbour suggested someone local could help. I called him and he came straight round and sorted it. Took 30 minutes from my initial call to completion. Cost 50% less too. Order number, supervisor, was 4124091-J1. Any chance you can confirm the cancellation..?

After ringing Abel Group to remove a wasp nest from my property. After initially being friendly an polite everything was going well. The guy came out and put some powder in the nest and left. After saying it will be clear in a couple of hours. A few days pass and we still have the same problem. So we rang Able Group back to be passed from person to person. I knew I had to pay for an extra visit but they kept speaking to me like it was my fault, they said they would get back intouch after speaking with the engineer. A few days went pass and still no call. After no luck a tried calling again and the very unhelpful guy was more pushing about payment and I qoute. "You signed the contract and you signed to say it might not work". After this remark and unprofessional. I decided to not get them back and pay for another exterminator. I wouldn't recommend them at all they are unprofessional and unreliable and certainly not ABLE to do the job they were paid for.

We have requested an emergency service for our leaking boiler on midday 29. 12. 2016.
You have told us that you can fix the problem on the boiler within 24 hour for emergency fee

11am- 1pm. Engineer hasn t arrived at the arranged time. After a number of phone calls to ABLE Group help desk I ve been given many different kind of explanation why is the engineer is late. At the end I ve been told that the 24 hour emergency contract I ve made with ABLE Group after all will not be honoured because its engineer doing somebody else s job . My boiler still leaks on my new kitchen cabinet ruining it because I have believed in and chosen your company. I believe the ABLE Group should revisit its policy and claims that you are promising are NOT exactly the truth. In fact it is a false claim. I will not trust your company again!!!
