Do not use this over priced company. MSRP for 35 windows and huge patio doors came to $170,000 and said for me $115,000 they are smoking crack. They want you to sit through a 2 hour presentation. They will give you life time warranty on both labor and product. They make there own windows, so what. They try to sell you on avoiding the middle man. I had 5 quotes on this house ranged from $53,000-$69,000. They tried to sell me on their product and warranty that if anything happens to the windows they are covering 100% on labor and product. For that price, I can get my $53,000 guy and pay him for more windows and doors if they need replacing and will never come close to the $115,000 price. Bruce will try to sell you on it and then they will transfer you to the schedule coordinator. Do not FALL for their sells tactics. USE CGI/PGT windows and get their Hurricane 5 windows.

Please DO NOT waste your time using this company for any projects. They don't communicate with each other, you will receive little to no communication from the company or CEO, unorganized, and unprofessional. The windows and door are nice but not worth the headache or frustration.
Some issues I encountered includes windows employee displaced was different from what he placed on contract, lack of communications from staff on status of windows, told turnaround time for windows would be 6-8 weeks- took over 5 months, job was suppose to take 3 days to install (took a week) of which 2 days was a no show.
Here's the kicker, the company told me that the city inspection would be Monday and called me on Monday to tell me it would be Wednesday. On Wednesday, I called the City to see what time they will stop by and they had no paperwork for an inspection. This company tells you everything you want to hear to get the sale , and once they get the sale they won't deliver. Be aware and stay away!
The windows are great!! Best and highest quality. The windows were custom made to fit my needs. They made an error on one of the windows but they were great in correcting their error by re-manufacturing the window.
Storm Tight Windows communicated all correspondence clearly & efficiently. We were very pleased throughout the process & the installers were professional & made sure we were completely satisfied as they went through a walk-through when the job was completed.
I made an appointment for a consultation a couple years ago and they didn't show up even after confirming twice. They called me this week and I figured I'd give them another shot to redeem themselves, well once again I stayed home all day waiting on the consultant and they did not show up. I will be giving the business to someone else.
Today I contacted Storm Tight about setting an appointment to get an estimate for impact windows and doors installed at a property. When I first called, I was transferred 3 times before a gentleman set an appointment and confirmed I would see him at 9am on Saturday. I received a call back from a "call operations manager" who began asking several questions that had already been discussed with the original salesman. Apparently the appointment was scheduled for tomorrow at 9am, despite me saying that I work during the week and would only be available on weekends. The manager rudely interrupted me several times while I attempted to answer her questions (that had already been discussed), then hung up on me when I questioned why she was asking me questions that I already discussed with the salesman in the morning. When I called back to speak to a different manager or her superior, I was hung up on again. I will be taking my business elsewhere. If it is this difficult to try and give them money, imagine how difficult it will be to get anything else.
The entire process from start to finish has been very smooth. Stormtight had very professional levels of communication throughout the project. They contacted us at each phase of the project. And while the work was going on they went the extra mile to make sure no excess dust or debris got in the house. The work was complete in 1 day and the crew showed up on time and even finished up in the rain at the end. Great experience!
Extremely disorganized company. Cancelled my appointment because when I called to confirm the appointment with the company, he never put it in the system. Was never notified that anything was cancelled. Cleared my schedule for the day and no one showed. Extremely disappointed but will be happy to spend my money elsewhere.
This company is extremely unorganized and unprofessional. They do not return phone calls in a timely fashion and when they do get back to you they give the run around. The only pleasant experience I have had thus far was with a gentleman named Patrick who came out to my home to deliver some windows. He kindly apologized on the company's behalf and offered to help clean up a mess left by the installers. A major thanks to him but this company needs to get their act together.
This organization is not to be trusted - they will try to scare, trick, and bully you into signing a contract. Signed up for a free no pressure in home consult while at the fair this year. The salesman that came out to our home opened by insulting our home stating, I see why you called us out - this place looks really bad. The home is new to us and we re looking to make repairs, opening by implying we d maintained our home poorly didn t sit well. He proceeded to drag us through some informational videos. After over an hour he finally went outside to measure our windows for a quote. Came back in and attempted to use scare tactics to impress upon us the poor condition of our home and that there was basically zero chance of our home withstanding any major storm that might come through. We explained that we had just recently weathered a hurricane in the home and everything was perfectly fine. We obviously acknowledged that the windows needed work or we wouldn t have wasted our time trying to get a quote. It took over 2 hours to finally get a quote of 85k to replace all of our windows with impact windows. After my husband and I finished laughing we said, No. Salesman informed us that we could do half of the house for 35k. Haggled down to 22k if we financed through them. We had cash and didn t need to finance and we were really uncomfortable with the swing in pricing. We stated that we would be calling around to get some different quotes, this upset the sales rep who got really aggressive. He claimed they could only guarantee this lower offer for a few hours because, you never know what s going to happen with the steel tariff. He ended up on the phone with who he claimed was his manager. The manager wanted to know exactly how many additional quotes we intended to get, we said three or four. The manager stated, there s hundreds of window companies in Palm Beach County, why not get a price from all of them then!? My husband told him that he was being absurd and that we were done talking. Sales rep got off of the phone and continued pressing wanting to know what it would take for us to sign a contract that day. We insisted that we would be shopping around before I finally informed him that we would be keeping the old windows and installing accordion shutters. My husband asked him to remove himself from our home and he had the audacity to ask my husband for assistance in getting his sample products back out to his car. Meanwhile they called my husband several days later to tell him that the job could be done for 15k. As a point of reference we finally had the same job completed with the addition of a new impact rated front door for 12k.
Avoid this company - Nasty and high pressure one year later they are still calling me, my windows are done a year ago by a reputable company. So glad I never did business with storm not right windows..
Nice Salesman and presentation until the end where it turned into a dog and pony show! I would never do business with this company as they practice high pressure sales insisting on an immediate order. Felt like I was with a used car salesman. Never got a firm price and the salesman "Jay" never even gave me his card. They offer a very high price and only want to sign you up first right there to get a better price, what a joke. The company followed up two days later and the person was rude! I know i made the right move to avoid this company. Don't waste 2 hours of your time with this Company.
I'm still totally confused by how this company actually makes money after my recent experience with them. We met them at the Seafood Festival and entered their raffle for $25,000 "dream window makeover". I was hesitant at first because 99% of these so called raffles end up being just a way for them to get your contact information and hassle you until you set up an appointment. But since we are interested in upgrading our 2nd story windows to impact glass, my husband encouraged me to give it a shot. Within 3 days I was contacted by a very nice lady to set an appointment. This is where my confusion begins. Toby was so nice, but one of the first things she said to me was we had "been selected to move to the next round of the raffle" and "congratulations on making it to the Semi-Finals." Then she told me the final drawing doesn't take place until December! It's June...so, right then I knew this was just a way to get my information in their system. Then I was struck with confusion again as she told me that both me and my husband were required to be in attendance at the appointment with the estimator so we could both hear the presentation. I'm not sure why this is the case with this company - but I have 16 month old twins and I am not interested in paying a baby sitter to watch them so I can listen to an estimate on replacing my windows! Either way, I decided to hear her out and ended up setting an appointment. On Sunday, Toby called me to confirm the appointment. But she wasn't able to just take my confirmation, she said I had to speak with a Scheduling coordinator also. That person never called me back on Sunday but they called on Monday. I cannot remember the name of the person that called me on Monday, but this person in my opinion should no longer have a position with the company to CONFIRM appointments as after speaking with her for 20 minutes, I ended up cancelling my appointment for Tuesday! I was so floored by this tactic as I assume their goal is to actually get customers to purchase their windows, right? She asked me if we were in a hurry to replace our windows right now or if we were ok waiting a little bit before making the decision. To which I replied that we were interested in getting an estimate because we have no idea what this is going to cost. Then she asked me if replacing our windows was a "priority" or if we were not in a rush. (Isn't this the same question I just answered for her but phrased differently?) I once again told her we were not in a rush and were interested in receiving an estimate to find out how much it was going to cost. Honestly, if I am in the "semi-finals" for the drawing to win $25,000 towards replacing my windows that doesn't take place for another 6 months, why would I be in a hurry to get this done right away? She proceeded to tell me that they were waiving the $99 fee to send a contractor to my home to give me an estimate and if we were not ready to sign a contract that same day because it isn't a "priority" for us to get this done right now, then she didn't understand why we were interested in getting an estimate at all and having a contractor take up 3 hours of our time at the appointment. I told her I have absolutely no idea what this is going to cost and I cannot make a decision to sign a contract without getting an estimate! She didn't seem to understand and repeated to me that since this was not a "priority" for us, then why were we asking for an estimate. I finally had enough and told her to forget it and cancel the appointment. I have never had a company literally TALK ME OUT of getting an estimate for their services. And truthfully, this is such a large financial decision to make, why would anyone agree to sign a contract without getting multiple estimates and quotes for the work? I will likely never use this company, unless of course I win the $25,000 dream window makeover - but I'm betting my name has been removed from that drawing since I didn't listen to the 3 hour presentation after cancelling my appointment.
They arrived as stated and even though the weather was not in their favor, they worked continually to finish the job in a timely manner... Would recommend them to everyone.
They are landrones.Le buy 6 windows I gave a deposit of 100 dollars. Look for other options much cheaper and cancel before 3 days combraro the deposit before September and I still do not receive my 100 stolen my deposit
I'm so glad I had the chance to read all the reviews prior to getting an estimate. I too entered a sweepstake and received a phone call that I won "$500" hmm I'm sure that was just another sales tactic. In summary, this company has a bunch of sales sharks that charge astronomical prices & some customers even had issues with the windows leaking...that's scary because insurance doesn't cover poor workmanship. Customer service is a nightmare, so on and so forth. I also read the reviews of previous employers and they hated working there, some didn't even get paid just because they worked one day and quit the next. I called immediately to cancel my appointment. When he asked why I just explained that the company has horrible reviews, he didn't even bother to try to win my business he just said okay and hung up. Why would I bother investing any time or money into a company like this?
RIP OFF. THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NO WINDOW MANUFACTURING WAREHOUSE. STAFF MEMBERS ARE HEARTLESS GREEDY OPPORTUNIST. THEY SEND GUY TO LITERARY WASTE YOUR TIME AT YOUR HOME FOR MANDATORY TWO HOURS. EACH WINDOW IS AT LEAST 5,000$
Attempted to utilize their "Price Match Guarantee" but Lee Brown (CEO) made up reasons not listed on the guarantee to refuse it. When I discussed exercising this "guarantee" with an employee, they had never heard of anyone getting it.
Overall we are very happy with our Storm Tight windows. The whole process happened like they said it would - they even helped with communicating all the necessary details with our HOA. Although we haven t been through a hurricane to test them out, we are are definitely impressed with the quality of the windows and many people on our street have come by to tell us they like the look and to inquire about our process. The install team was professional, courteous and quick. They took care of any issues with the areas where the windows were to go (ie: rotted wood due to a previous leak) and one marble window sill was cracked in the process and they replaced it right away. We have had a few post install issues which have also been addressed right away so we are impressed with their service. Hopefully we won t have to go through a hurricane to test them out but we are confident that we will be protected and we are happy that we chose Storm Tight.
I was contemplating replacing my old windows with impact windows. I had seen several adds on TV. I decided to call the toll free number from Storm Tight Windows. They responded in a couple of days and a date and time was set for the representative to come out and give me a presentation. The rep came out with some samples of their windows which was very impressive. The construction was solid. I decided to have my old windows replaced after his presentation. He took measurements of each window. This was done because each window is custom make for its specific location. That's right each window is made for each location so that it is a perfect fit. That was very impressive. He gave me a time-line for the windows to be made and a projected installation date. Everything went as planned. But, when the windows were ready for installation I was told it would take two days. I explained to them that I would not be at home for two consecutive days. So, they increased the number of men doing the installation and the job was completed in one day. The work crew was very professional and followed CDC guidelines. They covered all items in the area next to the site during the installation of the windows and vacuumed the areas upon completion. I was very satisfied with the workmanship. Give them a call if you are thinking about replacing your windows and let them give you a presentation and you decide. I just had a metal roof installed and the impact windows installed. I feel a lot more secure now.
Customer service. Terrible..constant phone calls explaining repeating each phone call same what I can expect how much time ..changed myappointment 3 times .. and then the rep. Left message she cancelled my appointment. ..felt she didnt want.to business with me. ..the whole experience was. bizarre. As if they did not want to do business with me.. why?
I have had Storm Tight windows for a few years now and believe these to be the best on the market. I even had a hurricane slider door replaced that was only a few years old with a Storm Tight Door. The new door is great and even helps block noise and heat.
Storm Tight Windows provided great service throughout the entire process! The installer was very professional and accommodating, and did an excellent job! Thanks Storm Tight!
STAY AWAY. We learned the lesson with this company- if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. The salesmen yes you and make you think you re getting everything you could ever want, but the reality is much different. I don t where to start.. how about the fact that our windows were installed almost 3 months after the promised installment timeframe we were given for cash paying customers. Or the fact that when they did set a date the crew got a flat tire and that apparently means they never show up to do the install. Or the fact that I found shards of glass and construction dust all over my house after they left. The whole process was such a headache, and the kicker was that nobody cared, they just made excuses and passed the buck. I am sharing pictures of our ready for paint windows. Hm, somehow I feel like paint is not going to make this look any better. Seriously, STAY FAR FAR AWAY!
Storm Tight again provided me with a great product and good service. This is the second time that I have had them do work for me. They came on time, did the job, cleaned up and called a day later to make sure that all was well. When needed I will call them again.
We absolutely love our windows. We could immediately feel a difference in temperature and humidity in the house. We also love the safety and security they provide us. From the consultation to the installation everything was smooth and easy. We are incredibly thankful for the wonderful customer service they provide us. Our representative Brandon always breaks down the numbers for us and makes us feel like we're part of the family. We are completely satisfied with our experience, quality and affordability from Storm Tight Windows.
Got a job with this company and never got paid for the 19 hours I worked. The job wasnt for me so I obtained employment elsewhere. Contacted the department of labor and Storm Tight denied that I ever worked for them even after I went to thier office in person and was told by Chris, the person who does payroll that I would be paid for at least 11 hours that were confirmed that I worked. His word means nothing, DO NOT trust this company, collectively theyre a bunch of thieving, lying ********! BEWARE!!
BUYER BEWARE!!! We live in Coral Springs and wanted to get impact windows and doors installed. We went to the Home Show in Ft Lauderdale where we met representatives from Storm Tight windows. They came out and did a very polished presentation. We signed up. We regret it. Windows were installed on April 4-10, 2020. We were very happy with the windows and the installers. Our final door was on back order and was installed on May 1, 2020. We asked the installer when the inspection would be done he said it would be in the next week. I filled out a form that said I could make myself available with notice. A couple weeks went by and I never heard from Storm Tight. I called and they scheduled inspection for 5/22/2020. They called the day before and said there were some issues and they had to reschedule for 5/29/2020. The day before that they called again and cancelled due to the fact they had not renewed their workman's comp and liability. I confirmed this with the City. The City said they would not sign off on inspections until Storm Tight's insurances were up to date. Needless to say we were upset. We had left messages for the rep. who was doing the cancelling; no response. Emailed the company and were told would get a call back in 30 minutes; no response. After seven attempts to get a call back; no response. Now we are left with approximately 70-80 stickers on our windows that we cannot remove, an open permit on our home and Storm Tight does not give a rat's butt. After given all their hype about warranties, what would happen if we need a repair? Not much I'd guess. Terrible customer service!
Installation of my new doors was done efficiently and in a timely manner. Darian and his crew are extremely professional and clean up the site once finished.
Non professional very nasty work im am not satisfied with the work i would not recommand this company to anyone. Non communication very unhappy about there work
Windows are beautiful and well constructed compared to others we have seen. Work men are courteous and cleaned up immediately after window installation was completed. The work men were also punctual. I have recommended Storm Tight to a number of home owners and one of them have engaged Storm Tight for windows.
Storm Tight Windows is one of the best contractors I have ever worked with. I am 74 years old and have done a lot of work on my home in Florida. Starting from the salesman who was very knowledgeable about what to do and how to do it, to the workmen who were knowledgeable and very clean workers. If something was spilled or they made a mess, they cleaned it up quickly. They asked me to walk through all of the areas of work that was done and received my approval on all. Now I don't worry about storms/ hurricanes here in Boca Raton.
Overall we had a very positive experience. The salesman Nick did a good job and we got to talk with the owner the same day we signed up. The install team was courteous and efficient, and our new sliding glass doors and picture windows look great. My one concern was that communication between the time we signed up and the county permit was submitted was non-existent, despite my efforts to find out when we could expect installation. I eventually spoke with the owner about my concerns, and communications greatly improved after that. I'm told the company did restructuring to address being more responsive with customer communications. Overall, I recommend Storm Tight windows, and we plan on finishing the remaining windows and doors by hiring this company again. January, 2019. We had second installment completed; cabana bathroom door & 2 large bedroom windows. Still quality work. What I learned this time is to keep track of alarm wires while the old door is being removed; we had to adjust wiring after the fact. Company cooperative with us. Later this year will sign up to have the rest of the house completed.
Once the windows were ready, installation was very quick. Installers did all work, including wall build-up, in one day. They were very neat and cleaned up after themselves. Their inspector was present during the morning of installation and returned next day to make sure everything looked good and was properly installed. The difference between our old windows/sliding doors and these are night and day; wish I had taken some before photos.
Windows and back French doors came out great. The house is a lot cooler. They installed in 2 days my whole house. Life time warranty on the windows. Less to worry about with my 2 kids.
I never actually write reviews but the service I have received from Storm Tight Windows has been very disappointing. First, I have waited over the scheduled time that was given at the time of measurement (8-12 weeks) for the production of the windows and I was never updated on when the windows should of been completed. I had to call multiple times to the office and leave a dozen of voicemails in which I was never called back to find out the installation projection time. Finally, after receiving a number from a family member that previously used Storm Tight Windows, I received a date for installation. However, I was called a few days before the scheduled date of installation and the installation date was cancelled by Storm Tight Windows and was rescheduled for the following week in which I had to miss out from work due to scheduling issues through Storm Tight Windows. Once the installation process started on 10-10-18, I was informed that the job would take two days in which it took a total of three days and the job still was not complete. The night of 10-11-18, I ended up with bugs and water in my home due to the door upstairs not being sealed and installed correctly. I have multiple photos of an incomplete job of both doors that were installed in my home. In addition, on 10-17-18, I had the inspection done with the county inspector in which the project failed inspection due to the work not being complete and not being done the right way. It s now 10-29-18 and the project is still not complete due to communication issues within the company with installers and maintenance crew not being informed on what needs to be completed prior to arrival to my home. I ve had multiple visits and there is always an issue with materials not being available to complete the project. This experience with Storm Tight Windows has been the most despicable, stressful and unprofessional work I have ever dealt with a company. You would think the service would be exceptional due to the amount that comes out of your pocket.
Working with Storm Tight was a great experience. Every aspect from purchasing to installation was seamless. They kept me informed every step of the way. Installation was great, the guys were very professional and knowledgeable and they kept my house clean as they worked! Would definitely recommend them.
This company is desperate. I am a licensed General Contractor and I would not use this company. Appt department called me twice to confirm the appt I already confirmed and had in my calendar. The appt woman proceeded to tell me about their company policies of a 3 day advanced confirmation, which was already done directly with the rep, then spoke over me for 20 seconds and hung up
This company has given me problems and is not professional with their communication. I would not recommend anyone to use their service and get their products.
My Mom and Dad called me and said that their neighbor across the street were getting new windows installed by a company called Storm Tight Windows. Because of the many hurricanes in Florida, my Parents insisted that they needed new windows as well.
A few days later I called and made a appointment. The Representative was very knowledgeable but, I was skeptical because I felt that the windows were too pricey. I did my own due-diligence on Storm Tight and a couple of other competitors.... I decided on Storm Tight.
What really sold me! After the representative writes up the order he emails it to his corporate office while still at the home. A few minutes later the OWNER of the company actually calls the Homeowner to verify all of the information and to make sure you are completely satisfied and understands the process and the product you are purchasing. To me the Owner really seemed genuine- at that moment I was sold!
They started the installation on January 29, 2018 it was completed on January 31, 2018. Very professional, Superb job, Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! the whole appearance of the house changed. The windows are WELL WORTH THE PRICE!
I had Storm tight window's come out for an estimate. The gentleman who came out was very professional and knowledgeable. My bedroom was the hottest room in the house and my home needed a face lift. Well i just got my window's installed on Monday and i could not be happier! The installer's were very professional and kind. The work they did looks amazing!!! My bedroom must be 10-15 degrees cooler which is great as i don't have to run my air conditioner nearly as much! I could not be happier and will use them again when i do my upstairs window's
Very professional and kind crew that knew what they were doing when installing the windows. I had 2 issues that I wanted fix before inspection and the problems were addressed and completed before inspection was done. Very pleased with the install.
We are very happy with our new windows. We noticed noise reduction, we noticed that you don t feel the heat from the sun as with the old windows. They look very nice and good quality. You can even remove the window to clean it. The workers were puntual and every time we had a question, there was someone in the other line ready to answer. We even talk to the owner. Frank is also a very detailed worker and did his best to make sure we were happy with the finishing details.
I love my new windows. They are beautiful, stay clean, keep out noise and dirt. The paned window that I have to have in front of house for HOA purposes is especially cool. You can see them but cant touch them as they are imbedded in the glass. Storm Tight staff were prompt and courteous with any questions or concerns that I had.
I found this company to be very professional and courteous. Things were done in a timely manner, work was terrific. Windows are beautiful. Installation was great. Very satisfied.
ALL ARE FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. IT WAS NOT AN EASY DECISION WOULD LIKE TO RECOMMEND STORM TIGHT WINDOWS FOR FAMILIES LOOKING TO SECURE THE HOMES FROM STORMS AND HURRICANES. THE PRODUCT IS A-1, THE LOOK IS MODERN AND SLEEK, AND IT WILL DETER INDIVIDUALS TRYING TO BREAK INTO YOUR HOME. THE ST TO MAKE THIS INVESTMENT AT FIRST, BUT THE END RESULT JUSTIFIES THE COST AS THE SAVINGS WILL MOUNT WITH INSURANCE AND UTILITIES.
These windows are fantastic! For the first time in 19 years I can stand in front of a window and not feel the searing florida heat through the glass....Can't wait to see how much the FPL bill goes down.
I am a pretty analytical guy and did a lot of research looking into hurricane windows. I got four quotes from three companies selling vinyl and one pushing aluminum. By far Storm Tight was the best value out there. They were not the cheapest but the value could not be beat. The solar heat gain coefficient was 0.2, visible transmission 0.45, lowE and argon gas made these specs one of the best on the market. I actually went to two other manufactures show room to see the windows and talk to the sales manager. These windows also look amazing from the outside. I have had several neighbors comment on how nice these look. I also noticed that you can see the difference in construction when comparing these to other windows in the neighborhood. The only negative I have is the start time from the installer. I think Storm Tight could have done a better job scheduling only my windows to be done that day. But once he got going, the install went extremely well. He took a lot of pride in his workmanship and had no issues during the inspection. I couldn't have been happier with this window project and my selection. I am also impressed with the follow-up from Strom Tight seeing how everything went..
This is my second order with Storm Tight Windows. The windows may be expensive compared to other hurricane windows, but the quality of Storm Tight Windows is excellent. You always get what you pay for. These windows are Miami-Dade County approved, which is important. The company installer was very professional and the installation went smoothly. I expect that the next installation will go forward as was the first. Customer service each time was very helpful working through HOA forms and a pleasure to deal with.
Great product, great installation. POOR customer service. Have left several emails and phone calls (no reply). And when the salesman says and demonstrates the hole in the screen just rub it and it s fixed . Thats bs. Actually most of what he said was bs. My advice DO NOT PAY until final inspection. Once they got your $ you will never hear from them.
Left messages never responded. Left one window without screen and two have small tears that need to be fixed. Just installed. Waiting for inspection and response about my missing screen. And the damaged ones. IT'S 08/17 AND NO ONE EVER GOT BACK TO ME AFTER THE SCHEDULED INSPECTION THAT WAS NEVER DONE. I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE SCREEN THAT WAS NOT ORDERED WHEN THE WINDOW WAS INSTALLED BACK IN JUNE. " A SCREEN" AND STILL PENDING IS THE REPAIR ON THE SCREENS THAT WERE DAMAGED WHEN INSTALLED. I HAVE NEVER DEALT WITH SUCH AN UNCOMMUNICATIVE COMPANY. I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS. I HAVE BEEN TREATED SO REPUGNANTLY THAT EVERY PAYMENT MADE IS SO OFFENSIVE. NOT THE JOY EXPECTED.
I had three (3) Storm Tight Windows installed recently. I found the company at a Home Show in Ft Lauderdale. Passed booth, not really looking for windows at the time, but filled in one of those chances to win entries. A few days later, I received a sales call and decided to hear what they had to pitch. The salesperson was very personable, a bit pushy as expected, and, of course, came you must decide to By Now to get the DEAL! Good for TODAY ONLY pitch! For a couple of personal reasons I decided to go for it and ordered three windows for the master bedroom.
I will start with the CONS, end with the PROS, and summarize.
Cons Took quite a long while (few months) to receive the windows and there was no communication until they were actually ready to schedule. Quick status emails would have been nice. Prefer workers come with shoe protections or take their shoes off. It was a muddy day out and they had to work both in and outside which tracked mud. They did not exactly clean up after themselves
When the city inspector came he found the spacing between the nails were not according to the specs described in the paperwork. Therefore, they had to reschedule their installer and another inspection.
Pros Because the windows are built to spec the amount of time to receive will be more than running into your local store or retailer. The mess left behind and the muddy shoes situation - mess was a required passing of the vacuum but did find nail outside a window. Commenting just to make note and bring attention to the company to remind their folks. The shoe thing is a huge issue for me. I prefer anyone, coming into the house, remove their shoes or wear protective covering. Might not bother others. As for the spacing of nails - my understanding is that the original spacing was to code; the issue for the inspector was that it did not follow what was written on the spec drawn. Technically, they were installed correctly. Still important the specs are followed. The company responded to the situation and corrected the concern and the inspection passed. Also, the installers and company inspector were very nice and respectful. Most important - the personnel I worked with throughout the project were GREAT! They answered all questions, explained the process and were pleasant.
On the Fence - The salesperson used a heat-reading device to show the amount of current heat loss with my windows vs the new windows (sample). Would have been nice if what is used to sell you the product is proven after installation. I have no idea if what I was shown was just a sales tactic or proven true. Companies should back up their statements and claims. What you demonstrate and claim regarding your product in your sales pitch should be the way you end the project. Prove to me that what you demonstrated and claimed is indeed true. Not saying it is not true just no proof.
Now, for the actual windows - they are just so beautiful looking. I chose the casement model. They are big and clear and brings so much outside life inside. They open with ease and comfort, the trim is very nice and makes the house even more attractive.
Due to the few reasons, listing in the Cons is why I rated 4 Stars. If none of those points are an issue for folks then I say consider this a 5 Star :)
I have no in depth comment on pricing because, to me, it is relative. You can afford what you can afford. I would take a wild guess that they are considered on the higher end of the cost scale. All I can say is I recommend these windows be a consideration on your list to choose from when researching.
The salesman that came out for the estimate was very nice at first but then it all went downhill. A 2 hour estimate to watch videos about the company and how the pricing is all computerized was a little much but ok. We dealt with it. After that and the entire presentation we measured the windows and doors and he went to work putting everything together and the estimate for our little 1500 square foot, 2/2 home was over $47,000!!!! That s crazy. We got their company information through a promotion on the country station 99.9. No longer going to listen to them if these are the people they promote. The numbers made no sense. He kept saying we would get discounts and rebates, gift cards we were supposed to have and that would bring the price down but he wouldn t give us any further numbers. Over $47,000 for the job and he wanted over $18,000 down and the payments would still be over $1,000 a month? No way. With that much down we d finance $29,000 or so. $1,000 a month, even at their projected 9.9 % will not be $1,000+ a month for 10 years. Crazy numbers. He kept saying if we were ready to move forward he could give us numbers and we would have to fill out credit apps and the whole thing. It was like buying a used car from the worlds shadiest car dealer but worse. He kept saying we d be under $300 a month but by that point we were fed up with the runaround how do the numbers jump that much? How can you say that without discussion of down payment numbers? Completely shady deal all the way around. Not sure I would trust this company even if the project would be $4700. Then he took all the information he presented to us during the presentation. We have nothing to refer to. I would suggest staying away to avoid getting swindled by this company. During the presentation the CEO was on the video saying he will call the customers directly to discuss any concerns or issues. I would be amazed if he was bold enough to call me on this one. Completely unethical business and untrustworthy company in our opinion.
This was an expensive mistake. We decided to try Storm tight Windows initially by replacing three back bedroom windows. It was a great experience, done in a timely manner, however, when a year later we decided to complete the rest of the house we found slow work (it took 6 months from start to finish) to replace three sliding doors and two windows with frequent mistakes and months to hear back about inquiries. In the end we are terribly unhappy with the finished product which have been damaged during the instillation.
1st they send people around neighborhood setting up appts and offering a 30% rebate. So after meeting with salesperson I ask about rebate and he explains what is really an affiliate marketing plan. So I pushed and told him what the definition of rebate is. He gave me 30% without me having to give them names, addressses, my 1st born, allowing people in my house and more.
3 days later I get a call from someone else at the company wanting to come talk to me about getting the windows at cost with a neighborhood marketing approach. I told this person I already came to an agreement with their GM and to have him call me. The next morning I get email from GM that he resigned due to company business practices and false promises. Again.......RUN AWAY!!! FAST.
Extremely Happy with their product and service. I had them install new windows and doors in January 2017 and I did not want to post a review right away because I wanted to go thru a hurricane and see how their product stands up. Happy to report that 2 hurricanes passed by and no issues. What surprised me most was they called me right after the hurricane to check if all was ok or if there was any damage.
Their installers did a great job and one follow up visit to correct a window defect in manufacturing was done in a timely manner. I could have used that window but they insisted they replace it and they did.
Storm tight windows. They called before arriving. Arrived on time. Got all the windows installed before 4pm. 1 day. They cleaned up before leaving. I did not have to do anything. I love the windows. Would and have recommended this company to. Every one My neighbor got cheaper windows. And they are so much cheaper in quality installation took days and no guarantee If you are looking for windows storm tight is the company you want Sheila
The worst company I have ever dealt with. A salesperson spent 4 hours at my house trying to sell me windows. It was unbelievable that I wasted 4 hours of my Saturday to listen to a desperate pitch for overpriced windows. After informing them we do not wish to purchase the windows because of their ridiculous price they called and stalked us every other day with their "new reduced price." They even showed up at our gate without an appointment claiming they had another appointment for an evaluation. These people are borderline psychotic I have never ever experienced this with a company. EVER!! Between their boring in home 4 hour sales pitch and their stalking of potential clients I am so happy we decided to stay away ! Run as fast as you can if you get a quote , they are scammers! Be aware !
I order the windows on the 4 April as been intalled on the 11 of May the way they promise to me. The 3 mans who came was very nice and efficient, strat a 10 am and by 5 pm every thing was donne and clean. Thank you to the staff and the worker. I will recommends theme. Sylvain Fretigny
We couldn t be happier with our new impact windows. The house looks so much nicer, we love the curb appeal they bring. Also, we could feel immediately the difference in the temperature in the house. Our experience with Storm Tight Windows was great, they installed 8 windows in only one day and they cleaned up after they completed the work.
I just got my window done they looks fantastic and have friends that work in construction and they said this are one of the best windows the material and the glass are very thick and the widows are very heavy and the installers are professional and friendly and they will answer any concerns you may have I really recommended them for your installations
I would not recommend. I would go through Home Depot or another company next time. During your first visit they sell you on how great the windows are, once they re in they seem cheap. The company it s self is a bit disorganized. Even though they measured for exact fit, the windows don t seem custom. I ve tried to make a payment on my windows and they haven t called me back or taken it from my account. There is nothing I can do now, but on a future home I will not use this company.
The professionals that installed the windows were very polite and made sure everything was done to our standards and that we did not have any complaints or issue before they left. The house looks better and the electrical bills are going to be lowered. Highly recommend Storm Tight Windows.
Overall experience was very good. Sales and office staff were very informative. The installers did a great job and cleaned up. The Windows work and look great.
I called today and left a voicemail for the inspection department and have not heard anything I also spoke to Vincent regarding the payoff letter from Tristan and all I got has been empty promise this is so disrespectful to treat a customer like this I'm offended and disgusted because I have been patient and I don't think I am asking for anything impossible a payoff email andy windows to be inspected I have been calling and asking for this for 3 weeks shame on Storm tight
Don't be fooled!! They have a great sales pitch but it all ends there the service and the lack professionalism you will receive will be a total disappointment. I replaced all my windows with them spending almost $30K one side of my house the upper were horizontal & bottom was vertical, looked like a flea market mix & match and they would not replace them instead I was charged. 2 years later one of the french door glass broke and I called them for an estimate, took them weeks to get someone out and weeks after just to be told they would have a quote soon, I even contacted the owner of the company Mr Lee Brown he assured me someone will get back to me with a quote, well that was April 18th and today is May 2nd and still not even a quote. I texted Mr Brown and called the company left them a message yesterday and today still nothing. These guys are absolutely unprofessional.
The service from the day we had the salesperson over to show my husband and myself the product they make was excellent. Being in a HOA we had to get approval, which took some time to get back to the office. You do need to realize that it takes time to get these windows and doors made for you specific home. When they do come in and are ready to be installed they have a team that comes and works very well together to get them installed. At the end of the day they cleaned up, removing all old windows and doors. It was a great experience working with everyone at Storm Tight Windows. I would strongly encourage everyone to check them out as they provide quality work. This was honestly my best Christmas gift ever. The house temperature is turned up so to save money on the FP&L bill. When all the fireworks were going off on New Years Eve I was pleasantly surprised that I never heard them. Check these folks out for yourself now.
I had the most unpleasant experience with Storm Tight. It is not an ethical company. It takes your money, and will not come back to finish the work. When the workers came to installed the windows, they installed one cracked window and one wrong type of window; and the rest of them were ok. They told me that someone from the company will come back to replace the two windows in 4 to 6 weeks, and demanded full payment. I paid them in full, thinking they will come back soon. But two months went by no one came back to replace the cracked windows. I called the company numerous times to finish the work, but I had been getting nothing but false promises, run around, and excuses. In fact, the company had such high turnover rate. I had to talk to so many different officers about my story, and on one seemed to know what is going on. Now it has been 6 months, and permit on the window will expire in about couple days. The broken windows are still not replaced.
The company offers lifetime warranty on these windows. I wonder what will happen if there is an actual hurricane, and many people's impact windows get broken. Will this company take the responsibilites to replace these windows? I can guaranty you from my bad experiences this company will give you the run around, and excuses from replacing your broken windows. When a company has such high turnover rate, the company is not stable. It can go out of business tomorrow and its warranties would not mean anything.
Excellent windows! I am grateful that I can t hear the noises outside! Very pleased with the vendor and the installation...will use again when ready to replace patio doors
Just to let all their clients and future clients know that they dont pay their workers. You pay the company immediately and the company doesnt end up paying the people who did a GOOD JOB at your house or will do a GOOD JOB at your house. They either never pay their workers or they take months to pay their workers not caring at all they give their workers sad excuses.
Storm tight Windows service has been great from start to finish so far (waiting on inspection) which I'm sure will go smoothly. The presentation was informative. The installation for my entire home was completed in 2 days. The installers were friendly yet non invasive, cleaned up really well and even helped me with a few things they did not have to. I am super happy with my windows and, they look much nicer on the outside than my neighbors who just recently had windows from somewhere else installed .
My personal experience with Storm Tight Windows was outstanding, on time and very professional. The job was to replace all 8 windows in the property which was all completed the same day within 7 hours of work time. I found Storm Tight Windows to be a very reliable and clean company, I highly recommend this company for any future window replacement. Thank you Storm Tight Windows for an amazing experience!
It was our pleasure to have our windows done by professional people from Storm Tight Windows. They are exceptionally good with exceedingly great knowledge and expertise about their product. Installation process was great as they treat your family and belongings with utmost care and respect.
I just had StormTight windows installed in my South Florida home. I have to say they look amazing. The quality of the windows are exceeded by the installation process. The workers were knowledgeable and did a great job of installing my windows. The county inspection went perfect with no defects found. I am very happy I made the decision to top with StormTight.
Please Please stay away if you value your time and money. I waited nearly 10 month for 5 windows when I signed the original contract back in July of 2017, since then it has been a nightmare to get these guys to install and complete. After nearly 10 month I finally get my (5) windows and 2 are incorrect size after they had measured twice which by that time it was too late because the original window had already been taken off. Thus, my condo had to get boarded up!!!!Luckily it was replaced the next day from another order for another customer which I feel bad for. Coincidently, the mess they created was astronomical!!!!! The amount of dust that spread was overwhelming nor did they consider covering anything because they didn't care. Second, the last (1) window windows came in cracked and during the installation the contractor drops the frame from the 5th story unit which practically destroyed itself - thank God no one was below nor got hurt. I was then told they will order me a new window which would take 2 weeks.....month and a half later window finally is installed after calling for 2 weeks yelling!!!! However, screens are still missing and now they have to be ordered. Finally, during inspection their QA guys shows to prep the windows (an hour before) for the building inspector final and to my surprise one of the window install was not properly sealed and water poured out of the Top window which has been leaking into the inside of my unit and wood studs/wall. I am beyond exhausted and emotionally drained. I have taken time off work 3 times(full 8 hours) with no pay to meet these guys with each time one hurdle after another. Do yourself a favor, call Lowes, my brother in law had 8 windows, hurricane impact installed flawlessly in 2 days with minimum down time and their team were extremely clean even came prepared with plastic bags to cover items. I am too nice I admit and have been taken advantage off. Note the matter has been resolved but as a social courtesy stay away.
We had previously checked on changing our windows to impact windows with several companies. Since it was a large expense, we hesitated in make the final decision. Storm Tight Windows' Sales Representative came out to explain their product and we could instantly see the quality. Yes their prices were a bit more than other companies but the quality of the product outweighed this expense. We finally made our decision to move forward and replace our biggest openings, 2 sliding glass doors. Storm Tight handled the entire paperwork process from our HOA to the municipality building department permitting. There was a slight delay with having the sliders installed but now that they are in, we are delighted. We previously had blinds on our sliders but since this product is so beautiful, we've decided to not replace the blinds and have an open feel to our backyard.
I have agreed to buy my windows from Storm Tight Windows. After waiting seven months for the installation I thought the nightmare was over. It has been less than a year and one of the windows is getting rusted. I called them to have somebody to come take a look at this since it is still under warranty...right?....WRONG...they told me that the warranty now is for 90 days and after that I will have to pay to have somebody come and "look" what is wrong with my window. If in 90 days after installation you have not been able to test your windows then you are on your own....this was a $26K rip off....;on top of this they send me emails bribing me with $100 to post good reviews for them. Please don't make the same mistake and hire somebody else that can prove what they offer.
Storm Tight Windows was professional and the product they provide is high quality. My questions and concerns were addressed promptly and installation and quality control staff aimed to please. They are a professional company that is concerned with providing a good product for their customers from start to finish. Windows took sometime to be manufactured but the wait was worth it.
Great company, great experience. The installation was fast and clean, took less than 4 hours to do the entire house and there was no mess. The windows look great and open and close smoothly. I've recommended them to all my friends.
Storm tight windows is an awesome company. We had such a wonderful experience with them. The installers were procfessional and efficient. They finished installing all 10 windows in one day. Passed inspection with flying colors. I would absolutely recommend them for installing beautiful hurricane impact windows.
