Bryce, Ena and Gator took great care of me when I took my car to get serviced. I received text updates letting me know the status of everything going on with my car. Definitely recommend sterling BMW. The staff is great, very helpful and nice to work with.

I have left numerous voicemails for Candace Boldt in the Finance Department, who is supposedly taking care of my claim against the insurance I purchased when I signed the lease for my car. She can't even give me the courtesy to call me back. I even talked to Mike in the Finance Dept. who told me he would call me back within 24 hours. Well, that never happened either. John Ditch, who handled my lease return, said he gave all the information to Candace and to contact her directly. While I don't mind doing that, the appropriate action would have been for John to handle the claim himself. I have given everyone more than ample time to handle the claim; I turned in my car on May 15....
How do you expect customers to buy another car from Sterling BMW if this is how you treat your customers?

The service department should not be trusted. They quoted me an astronomical repair job and it turns out that it was in fact a small sensor that was 1/10th the cost. So all they were really doing is ripping off their customers. Beware and don't trust them for repairs.

I love this place! I have a 2018 BMW 540IX. I needed summer wheels and tires. Almost everywhere I could find the wheels and tires I wanted, they were $5,500-6000. I dealt with Chris Heck at Sterling BMW of Newport and he got me the tires and wheels I wanted for $4,375. Chris Heck was very professional and very good at communicating.

I tried to purchase a car here (from out of state) and had to chase down the salesperson -- multiple calls, emails, texts, and no response. After indicating my intent to purchase a specific vehicle, the pre owned rep (John V) put me in a holding pattern and then came back to me later only to tell me they just sold the car. He ignored emails calls and text messages. I've made many out of state car purchases and have *never* had to chase someone down when wanting to make such a large purchase. Very disappointed--they give BMW dealerships a terrible name.

So glad to have purchased my BMW from here. Went to many places for over a month in SoCal. This was by far the best deal, on a 5 series (our second BMW), glad to be paired up with Mike. He looks a bit strict and his demeanor falls along with that line. But he was very straightforward, no bs, gave the best offer he possibly could to a point that I didn't even feel the need to haggle on anything. Their higher MSRP cars got us a lease deal for a very reasonable price compared to the lower MSRP cars at other dealerships. Their finance manager and Genius were both helpful and open to any follow up questions. Previously we got our first BMW from long beach, we went there too, but they couldn't compete with Sterling.

horrible experience a bunch of crooks totally unprofessional ,first they don't know what they're doing don't ever get your car fixed or purchased from them,my experience is too long to list it was a disaster it have to go to court but i'm trying to warn everyone so you go through what i encountered.i bought a pre owned certified car that had a problem .they were not able to fix ,instead of admitting there inability to fix the they take advantage and start charging you left and right ,watch out don't complain because if you do the service employe and the management will team up against you an screw you royalty .my experience was a nightmare.

I recently had my car serviced at Sterling BMW in Newport Beach. Tony Cardenas was my service advisor. I was beyond pleased with the service that he and the entire Sterling BMW staff provided. It was a completely different experience from what I am used to having at Irvine BMW which, in my opinion, runs their service department like a meat market. Although Irvine BMW is much closer to my home, it is worth every minute longer to drive to Sterling BMW to be treated better. The staff was kind, the service was quick, and my check engine light has not come on since I left (which was usually the case at Irvine BMW).

Thank you Sterling BMW for treating your customers with courtesy and respect. You have earned my business in both your sales and service departments.

I dont just spend time writing reviews, however Joshua D. was genuine, honest and respectful when meeting with me today to discuss a check engine light caused by a... surprise, Dinantronics Elite performance wiring harness. Josh throughly explained how it would be handled, found me a 2018 BMW X to borrow while the issue was fixed.

Not only that but he checked and found a recall and even went so far as to help with trim piece that needed to be snapped back in the dricers door handle. Overall very helpful and very professional.

Now lets talk about the changes taking place at Sterling BMW in Newport Beach, CA. Having not been there for quite a while, they had made a lot of headway on the construction... building a massive glass building which I imagine will house future models like the new 8 Series line-up which I am super stoked about. This is going to be the best BMW dealership in Orange County by far, and already has the best service. Not to mention the guys and parts are always fun to talk to and have great suggestions about things like premium waxes and accessories.

Great Service. Great Dealership. There's definitely not a better place to deal with all things BMW than Sterling BMW in Newport Beach.

Shout out to Sterling BMW for making my next car a dream come true!
After about a year of researching different types of vehicles and price structures, etc. I finally got my car! Thank you to Evan at Sterling BMW for being so polite and straightforward. The thing I hate the most are salesmen that waste time by talking nonsense for hours. Evan was straight to the point and provided excellent customer service. He gave me the deal and car I wanted in the shortest time possible. He made my experience one of the best. Thank you, Evan!

Thank you, Alex, for such a smooth finance transaction! Thank you for leaving out the bs that comes from most finance departments!

Dylan was my product genius and he was very thorough and polite. He went over all the features of the car and even went on a lengthy test drive with me to make sure I was comfortable in the car. Dylan even delivered my car to my house (35 miles away) after it was detailed and within a few hours. Thank you, Dylan!

Worst product purchasing & customer service experi...

Worst product purchasing & customer service experience in 35 years. Dealer has a "Policy" of sitting on a CERTIFIED CASHIERS CHECK for 5 days to "wait for the funds to clear". They seem to not understand how Certified Checks work. They could simply CASH the check and deposit funds, it's guaranteed. No other authorized BMW Dealer in the state that I can find has this ridiculous "Policy". I have spoken with Chase Financial and they have informed me that the funds have left their account, which means the dealer is basically currently holding my money and car hostage. On top of this, they speak to me with the utmost amount of disrespect I've EVER encountered in my life when I simply call to ask if they can help expedite the process with their financial institution. They could not care any less for me as a customer...completely disgusted.

I flew over 600 miles to do the deal, the check has been delivered and now I'm literally stuck, at my own expense, waiting in Los Angeles for my keys, which could be 4 days from now.

Buying and owning a product like BMW should be synonymous with excellence and high quality service. These individuals provide neither. Unfortunately this has soured my experience and opinion of BMW as a whole and have been speaking with BMW USA with regard to resolving the issue.

Stay as far away from Sterling BMW as you possibly can. You WILL thank me for it later.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Dave, he was super friendly and easy going guy. I wasn t able to work out a deal with these guys as the color scheme that I wanted was not available when I arrived. Although the financing here is super transparent and they seem to keep the rates at BMW rates and not try to bait and switch you like another BMW dealership that I came from earlier in the day. Thank you Dave, Steve, and Mike!

What prompted my review today was an unplanned visit when my tire inspection light came on. The staff was professional, accommodating, and quickly solved the problem within 10 minutes. The problem was fixed cost free and with a smile. This really is an incredible dealership.

Arriving at the dealership, Alex Yorba welcomed me; he was on-time and Very accommodating. Mr. Yorba provided the first-class service from scheduling My appointment until The very end. He also realized that there was a recall on some part of my BMW, and he made sure to account for and rectify that during my upcoming service appointment. Not only was he able to squeeze me into Monday morning s busy schedule with only a little notice, but he also kept his word and made sure that I would still make it to Work on time. He even went so far as to hand-deliver my car once all of the Services we're complete. The level of customer service displayed by Mr. Yorba and Sterling is always above, and beyond I feel so doted on when I'm there.

I do have a good experience with Sterling BMW @ Newport Beact in the November of this year with my first ever BMW X2 leasing car at this dealership with the help of John Paul Moreno the saleman. He is nice and very knowledgeable about the car and took time with me for all my questions related to BMW! Even though the dealership is under renovation but when I was there, the transaction was so smooth and I didn t feel any pressure at all as experienced with some other car dealers in the past! The leasing process with the trade-in my Lexus was less than a couple hours with the pleasant staffs in Financial Department and the Service Department to have my clean and nice BMW X2 delivered to me on the same night, I was there after long day working. Thanks so much John and the staffs at Sterling BMW! Definitely I will recommend this dealership for my friends and family when they look for buying or leasing car in the future.

I hate car shopping. But Sterling is top-notch and definitely not your typical luxury dealer, and specifically, Jack Murphy.

Jack is what all sales staff should aspire to be: attentive, knowledgeable, and focused on making the sales experience transparent, thorough, and you leave knowing you got a great deal.

After an initial misunderstanding, Jack and his manager Bob Wilson went above and beyond to make sure my wife and I were not just satisfied, but thrilled with our new car. I highly recommend requesting Jack when you re browsing. He s knowledgeable and has a no-pressure, customer centric focus that I wish all sales staff I ve dealt with at other dealerships had.

Thank you again, Jack and Bob. We ll be seeing you when we re ready for our next car (and hopefully when we re in for our next service).

I will keep a long story short, I am a Connecticut resident that found a 2014 BMW 335xi Msport Manual on their website before any pictures were even posted on the car. I inquired about the car and Kai the sales consultant reach out immediately, he wasn't pushy at all, if anything I was sending more emails out with questions to him. Needless to say he answered every question I had and sent me pictures of the car before they were even posted online. The whole process took a few weeks to get my financing in order and to get shipping ready as well. Either way they could have easily sold the car from under me to someone more local but they didn't. About a month later the car come on a truck all the way from CA to where I work in CT and I couldn't be more happy with how the car looked and drove. Car was flawless in everyway from the interior to the exterior too. Special thanks to Kai my sales guy who was super nice upfront and honest with everything! Thank you Sterling BMW for my new 335!

I had such an excellent service from Alex Yorba, the service agent who in charge of my BMW PCV valve heater recall on January 15th. I was told it will need a day to fix and told me to rent a courtesy rental car. I did and expected to pick up the car the next day. At the end of the day, Alex text me that the car is ready but it was 30 minutes before closing time. I picked up the next day and was very glad that the service provided by Alex was as excellent. Hope I will get him with my next service.

First of all, I AM NOT writing this review to get ...

First of all, I AM NOT writing this review to get one of their employees in trouble or to get some one fired!!!!! That is why I will not mention names. But I hope that after reading this review their manager will change things and not only improve their already tarnished image but also make it a place where customers feel like they had at leas some what of a decent experience. So I drove to the dealer and test drove the car and sales guy was nice and not aggressive. So far so good, or at least I thought so. Once I entered their small sales office it all went down hill!! The vibe there really did remind me of the movie "Suckers" how they think of customers as morons just waiting to be ripped off. I will spare you the details and get down to the point. My sales guy did try to sell me the car for more than what it was worth ok I get it, that's his job. I don't want to say exactly what was said because again I don't want to cause any one their job or get them in trouble. But I really did feel like I was in a circle of individual who just wanted to rip me off. Sterling, if you care, teach your sales people something called ETHICS and not to bad mouth a client when they think all clients are gone, I was in the rest room area when I heard them talking! My sales guy did not say anything bad but then again he knew I was in the back using the rest room. At the end of the day its no me who needs the sale its you. So I hope things will change there for the better. Good luck to the staff at Sterling and I hope they learn and change their behavior. I did not buy a car there. And I will not return.

We were pressed for time and had to return the next day to complete paperwork and when we came back, everyone remembered us and they were welcoming. No haggling, gave them my budget and they gave me a bottom number OTD.

Purchased an 2020 X6M50i and when I was ready to leave with the vehicle they told me they are missing the second set of keys and the owners manual. They told me they would have to request the two items from Germany. A week later I received the second set of keys, however it did not open my new vehicle. I still have not received the owners manual. I would not recommend Sterling BMW if you want Premium service that BMW is known for. However the service department was outstanding.

My latest issue with this horrible dealership: I recently brought in my car to resolve a problem I was having, and only for that problem. I paid a tall bill for the service and now the same problem has come back. When I took my car in to see what was up, they said they did not perform that service on my car, and apparently did something completely different. The originally requested service was never done and they are telling me I never asked for that. It's no surprise the problem is still there. Now they are trying to charge me another $1,500 for the duplicate service. Boy I wander why the whole town calls them a bunch of crooks. I guess I asked for this, considering the horrible service I have experienced from them over the last 15 yrs.

So to sum it up I came in not even tryna buy car just to look around. But my man giddi is just to much a great A sales man I just had to buy one on the spot. They were so nice and helpful. This dealership is cancer, stay as far away as you can. They allegedly fixed my car from a serious problem, only for it to break on me after picking it up on the way home, stranding me in the middle of the road with a 50MPH limit. Now they are claiming its not their responsibility, and tell me i need to replace my engine on a 1 year old car, which THEY WILL NOT COVER under my factory warranty. My first service advisor avoided my calls, and wouldn't call me back after i left many messages, only to discover weeks later (without my car) that he "no longer works at the dealership." Making it super easy for me to never consider a BMW again. I have already told everyone i know, and will continue to tell everyone i do meet to never go near this ambush dealer ever again.

We purchased our 2016 X5 from this sterling BMW Newport beach with the tire and rim protection plan. At this point our car have about 22,000 miles which we have it in about 1 and a half year. We got the warning for the tire low pressure on the same tire (rear of driver side) twice in one week (when we got first warning, we filled the air in) so we realized that there was something wrong with that tire. I called to make appointment to get the car in to check this tire and here is my BMW story:
First BMW service guy came out looked at the tire, measured the tire tread which he said it was about 3.5/32 then he said my tires was worn out because it was less than 4/32 and whatever the tire protection plan I have won't cover. I said to him that the tire still looked good to me and I believed that if the cause of the flat tire was the nail (which we saw the nail) then it should cover. I told him this car is only about 22,000 miles and the tires didn't look worn out at all to me then he started to be rude and keep saying and insisting that the tire protection plan won't cover the worn out tire so I requested to talk to his manager.
The second guy came out and ended up to be a jerk even worse than the first guy. He measured the tire tread and said it was about 3.5/32, it was worn out and the protection plan won't cover. Basically he was saying the same thing with the first guy with even in the ruder tone. I asked if this was stated in the contract? At this point I was looking for the contract in my car and thanks god I found it. I showed him the contract and asked him where it said that it wouldn't cover the worn out tire that the tire tread is less than 4/32, he looked at the contract and then found out that the contract stated that the plan will not cover the tire with the tread less than 2/32. At this point he came back and measured the tread at inside the tire and at the side and he said at the inside tread you have 0/32 tread so the tire protection would not cover. I told him you can't measure tread at the side of the tire even the new tire, there will be less to no tread there and he still insisted that he can measure from the side because it is still part of the tire. At this point I almost had nothing left to say and very disappointed in BMW overall. You paid a lot of money for the car and another 2-3 k for this tire and rim protection plan and this is how they treated you. I didn't try to take advantage of anyone here but I think I had the tire protection plan that should cover the nail on my flat tire and my tire was still in the good shape. I just ask him if I can talk to his manager or anyone above him and he just rudely walked away and shouted back "yes you can". He went back inside the office, discussed this with a group of 3-4 guys then another guy came out.
So we started again. The 3rd guy measured the tire tread and see that it was about 3.5/32 then he said in the inside it had less tread but he didn't say it was 0/32 tread like the 2nd guy. I put my hand on the tire and touch the tire tread and I even felt that the tire tread in the inside was much deeper than the outside. I also told him that how could he measure the tread from the side of tire (the 2nd guy did) and told me my tire had 0/32 tread? Even you bring me the new tire now and you measure it, I don't think there is much tread there on the side. So the 3rd guy said that he will take pictures then submit the BMW to check if they will cover then meanwhile they would give me a loaner and they would tell me later if they will cover this. At this point I am a BMW customer who was so exhausted already but I still think It should cover so I took all the pictures of my tire as much as I can and I mentioned to the 3rd guy that if the BMW wouldn't cover, I would like to know why and what he submitted to BMW for the claim.

From my initial phone call to make the appointment right through to the pick up at the needed time, I was treated with the utmost customer service. This was not my first experience there, but each time I'm becoming more appreciative of their excellent service!

What a nightmare. They promised me my car would be...

What a nightmare. They promised me my car would be ready by noon when I dropped of my car at 9am. I waited until 1:30 and still nobody contact me thru either phone, text and email. I called Service department to ask to be connected to the advisor. I was told my car was not ready. I waited until 4:30pm to inquire about my car, still It was not ready. I told the service department representative that I was disappointed and would address the problem with the supervisor. The Advisor then called me afterward to let me know my car was ready.
When I picked up my car, they didn't bother showing me the key the placed at a secret place inside the car. Stay away from this place.

Bad service. I brought my BMW 328i in for service because of an error message "engine malfunction Drive Moderately". They say it's gonna costs $21,000 for a new engine and not covered under warranty.
