I can't say enough about my experience. I own a 2003 Z4 and have been searching for an impossible part. I posted o several Facebook pages and was directed towards Sterling BMW and guess what. They had it, and possibly the last one known. It arrived in a matter of days and I was dancing in the streets.
Having owned and restored many muscle cars (Dodge Challengers) you can see how some impossible parts surface every once and a while to someone's amazement and joy. This is one such example.
Chris Heck went above and beyond when I asked him for a picture of the item. I recently purchased what I thought was the same part from another source any to find the picture they posted was for a different item and only the cable. Total disappointment. Chris understood and sent the picture and that sealed the deal. AWESOME Customer service and many thanks.
I sincerely hope to do business again and if I an near the dealership will gladly stop by just to shake his hand.

Went in to the Stirling dealership for Normal maintenance and they were great. They promptly processed my X1, quickly finished the maintenance while I waited sipping a free latte in the customer lounge watching TV. The whole experience was pleasant and smooth. I highly recommend getting ur maintenance done at Sterling.

Whatever you do, STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM STERLING BMW as you can. In fact , stay as far away from a BMW as you can. The fish stinks from the head down. GET A LEXUS BEFORE YOU THINK ABOUT A BMW.

I bought a pre-owned 328 i BMW about 6 months ago. The moment I left the lot, and drove about 3 miles, a passenger seat belt alarm started going off. Naturally I would tell the person next to me to put on their seat belt but THERE WAS NO ONE sitting there. How do you miss a sensor malfunction like this when the car is "BMW CERTIFIED"? I SPENT $4,000 ABOVE KBB because I thought I was getting a car that was thoroughly checked. HOW THE F DO YOU MISS A SEATBELT ALARM WHEN YOU ARE CHECKING THE CAR OUT???? STUPIDITY AT ITS FINEST.

I didn't catch it when I test drove the car because the crooked salesman was sitting in there with me. They end up fixing it when I took it in for service.

About 1 month later, I hear a girgling sound coming from my engine. I take it in and the service tech told me that the "computer board and sensors said there is not anything wrong" so they didnt fix my car. I refused to take it home without them fixing it and pointed the noise out to them. They told me again "that is normal". I not only refused to take my car home again, but demanded to speak with the service manager. He found the problem. My crank shaft was cracked!!! That was strike 2.

About a month later, my headlights and turn signals would flash on and off automatically without using them manually. I took my car in....YET AGAIN. It was in the shop for 3 days and when I get the car back, EVERY SINGLE ONE of my sensors was now going crazy, flashing on and off.

So my car went back in the shop. Thankfully I didnt even leave the lot this time. Later that day, my car was "ready" to be picked up. I get in my car, drove about 3 miles, and the headlights and turn signals start doing the exact same thing again. DID THEY EVEN LOOK IF THEY FIXED IT?????

So my car is back in the shop for over a week. NO LOANER CAR, enterprise POS.

They finally fixed the problem....for now.

I have complained about my transmission making strange sounds and not shifting properly but they always tell me there is nothing wrong with it. I know that in the next year, I will have to replace my transmission on my own dime. I WOULD DO ANYTHING TO GET OUT OF MY BMW AND SWITCH TO LEXUS IF I COULD.

DO NOT BUY A BMW AND DO NOT STEP ON THE GROUNDS OF STERLING BMW.

I want to caution anyone that is planning to get new tires here. Recently we were advised to change the tires on a 2018 430 convertible. We paid for two new front tires and when we picked up the car after hours noticed that the tires seemed to be previously used (far more used than the rear tires that we provided). We checked the dates on the tires and noticed that in fact they were not new (see the pictures). We were charged for tires, balancing, and alignment $712.50. I contacted the service department over 10 times and eventually spoken with the service manger (Kevin Ormes). He promised to resolve the problem and promptly disappeared. It has now been over a month and we are driving a car with two used tires of different years (both older than the car itself and the original tires). Contacted the dealership again and they are continuing to ignore both me and the issue. This is a caution to all potential customers. Beware of doing business here. Very deceptive, unethical, and dangerous dealer to service your car. This review does not reflect the sales department, just service and it s leadership. Frankly this should be embarrassing for Newport Beach. Will update my review if the issue is proactively corrected. I m extending an olive branch to the dealership if you would like a better review. Happy to return your old tires at any point and replace them with a fresh set from tirerack (which should have been done in the first place).

Sadly I am thoroughly disappointed in Sterling BMW. All they care about is selling you a car and their commission check I have had the absolute worst experience and do NOT even want my new "certified" X5. I had it less than 24 hours and the check engine light came on. But I sold on the fact it was CERTIFIED with 144 point inspection and should not buy private party. I texted a photo of the engine light issue to my sales rep Robert and didn't hear from him that night or even the next day. Nor did he set up the complimentary satellite service features for me that he touted. I had to make 2 additional calls to get service. Robert said my paperwork was ready for me to sign the deal upon the purchase and we had to wait 1.5 hours only to be rushed out of the dealership so had no clue on how to use the features and benefits of my X-5 but I could call or bring the car back and someone could show me. My car (had less than 24 hours) still being serviced and waiting for another part so they are thinking it will be another week before I get to use my car. In the meantime, I am on my 3rd loaner from BMW (2 loans needed to be serviced) so they picked them up after again I contacted the sales person and he has yet to reach out to me after multiple requests to him. I have left messages for Preston who is in charge of the dealership but days later still have not heard from him. I called and spoke to Steve, Sales Mgr explained my story and how upset and disappointed I am about the situation having purchased a car I am unable to drive and for the lack of response from their team. Due to my inconvenience and lack of customer service or empathy except from Bryce in service, I was hoping for some type of compensation but all they can do is detail my new car and give me a full tank of gas from them test driving it. WOW! I asked them to give me back my range rover with no problems and I would start over and this request was denied as well. So they have my CERTIFIED X-5 that I am paying for, on a 3rd loan car and still have no idea when I will get it back. Today I received my payment booklet and I was supposed to have been given 2 months free which it did not reflect either. This deal has been nothing but issues and disappointments. I am not embellishing this story at all. I would never buy a BMW again and certainly not at this dealership. Lack of customer service and certainly clueless on how to satisfy their customers. At least the drive to Newport Beach was nice since they are on prime real estate on PCH.....but keep driving! Not worth the hassle, time or money.

I received a call from their sales manger saying BMW sterling can not stay with their contract and I have to increase my down payment substantially, or I have to lease a difference model with $10,000. lower sticker price.

So I came here after a dreadful 5 hour appointment at a different BMW dealership that was doing their absolute best to rip me off and send me on my way with a car that I was NOT completely satisfied with. I left that dealership and came straight to Sterling BMW walked up to the salesman, Alex Lopez and told him exactly what I was looking for and exactly how much I wanted to pay and how much I expected for my trade-in. Within ten minutes, no hassle, no negotiations Alex came back with exactly what I had asked for and we signed papers. Hands down the greatest car buying experience I have ever experienced!! We had a great experience with the team at Sterling BMW. Kai looked after us incredibly well, gave us plenty time behind the wheel and wasn't at all pushy... He wasn't trying to sell us, he simple shared his deep knowledge and helped us come to our own conclusion.

They didn't have the exact car (color and interior) we were looking for but within two days, Kai found the car, offered us a really great deal and was excellent in his communication.

They never take care of the problem on the first time and it requires multiple visits for the same issue. Dealership will respond to emails quickly but seemed to get hostile when I made a offer and provided a reasoning behind my offer. I knew my offer was on the low side hoping for them to counteroffer and we could work from there. After reading reviews from other people that have bought a "certified" pre-own BMW from this dealership have had issues with their vehicles and having issues getting them repaired I have choose to take my business elsewhere. I would recommend doing the same if you are looking into purchasing a "certified" pre-own BMW. There are plenty of other BMW dealerships in Southern California and would suggest looking into them before coming to this dealership.

Last week I had an amazingly easy experience picking up a new BMW from Sterling.

After selling my 2011 328i, I was interested in making a change to an X1. Online Sales Manager Mike Lewis began the process, running me through the available inventory and giving me a lay of the land - even expanding our search across the whole country to see the options on hand. Later the same day I came in and worked with Alex Dimov as he showed me the vehicles I had narrowed down, taking the time to test drive with me and pointing out features that matched my checklist. Together we found the perfect 2017 BMW X1 s28. We negotiated pricing for maybe ten minutes and shook hands on a final number. I left a deposit, came back the next morning and finished paperwork while they detailed the car.

I spent maybe three hours total across two visits to the dealership and left with a perfect new ride at the price I was looking for. Throughout the way the team was transparent and the service was top class.

Thankful that my local BMW dealership is my preferred dealership. Special thanks to Alex for getting me over the finish line. Highly recommended.

Don't buy used cars from them without warranty, and don't use their service.

Bought 2009 BMW 335i with 85K miles for $15500. Was told that the car went through detailed inspection in their service department.

One day and little over 100 miles after the purchase - the car shows transmission failure.

Repair cost $8100.

Sterling BMW refuses to unwind the deal or take care of repair. I know my fault - I did not buy extended warranty (several $ thousands extra) nor insurance to be able to return it within 250 miles ($500 extra). I just shouldn't trust their service and used car sales guys.

And I recommend you don't trust them too.

I do not believe they had no idea the car have serious transmission problem. Either their service sucks and it's not capable of proper car inspection, or they knew there is a problem and wanted to sell it without telling me about the problem.

Either way - I no longer trust them.

Sterling BMW is the #1 Rated BMW dealer in Orange County and Best Reviewed BMW dealership in all of Southern California for a reason. Many reasons actually.
The prices were better than all others and they're currently undergoing a massive showroom floor expansion that I look forward to checking out, and sure they had the best selection of 7 series in OC... but it is the service that makes it the #1 Rated BMW Dealer in California.
It is the people at Sterling BMW that make it such a genuinely great car leasing or buying experience. I only write 5 star reviews... because why waste my time with anything else. However, I reserve them for those that earn it. I am also in a service business, law, and I strive to provide 5 star service... and I recognize and appreciate it very much.
In no particular order, here are the just some of the people that make Sterling, Platinum.
First, I am going to mention the "Genius". Yes it is a bit of a self-aggrandizing title that BMW has coined, and ironically I can tell you that some BMW Geniuses barely qualify for the title... but at Sterling BMW, the go-to guy, with all questions and answers, all explanations, details, tips, tricks and tools of the trade, the Bimmer Life-Hacker if you will... is Ben.

Great customer service is when you feel as though there is no guidebook being followed, no training involved, no gimmicks and no BS. A great customer service experience has to be genuine and always feels like even though a how-to book may exist, they have never read it and definitely don't need to... because they are going to do it better than any training or guidebook could ever tell you how. Ben... yeah...definitely 5 Stars.

I have been in 7 times now, mostly for customization parts and swag from their amazing BMW and M Sport Retail Store. "Sterling BMW has the biggest selection and the most BMW Merchandise of any BMW Dealership in California". From Wheels to Wallets to Welcome Lights, from Waxes to Washes to Umbrellas and Ultra Light Carbon Fiber M-Performance Mirror Caps... the Sterling BMW Parts Store is sooo much more than that. Again, that is because of the people behind the M.

Always ready to talk about interesting new products and happy to search high and low for things like Cerium Gray M760Li emblems, "Gator" is the Sterling BMW go-to-guy. Gator knows a LOT about BMW parts and happily shares BMW stories with a smile. He helps me with picking the best detail spray, one that I've never heard of and isn't in any other store or website. Gator literally hand-curated this car detailing collection from a company called "Aero", named that because apparently their products are also used on aircraft. Another reason he earns 5 stars is because unlike so many other dealerships, Gator calls me back as soon as the part I ordered arrives. Every time my part came in, I got the call that hour and always well before closing.
Finally, there is the Fabulous, the Fantastic, the
First Class... Fabrizio the Financier Manager. I couldn't use enough F's to account for the amount of money he saved me, in thousands, off the retail price of my lease, but I can tell you, $11,000.00 off sticker of a new 750. Did I mention I got a 750? Im kidding. All BMWs are 100% Fire. The Dealership is fire. Thank you Sterling. Best BMW Dealer in OC.

I had to drop off my car quickly and get a loaner to get to work. Alex Yorba at sterling BMW service department made all the arrangements and I was able to drop off my car and get be back on the road in 15 minutes.
I was updated regularly about my service and I dropped of the loaner and pick up my car with the same ease and speed. I highly recommend Sterling BMW service department as they have exceeded my expectations.

Made an appointment to check out a car, called before heading over. Drove 70 miles, I step into the dealership to be told the car I had every intention of buying was just sold to someone who walked in 15 min before my appointment time. Tough luck , maybe.
I decide to check out another car they have. I test drive the car, make a similar offer as the other car, sales rep tells me i will check with my manager and if i don't come back in 10 min, you guys can go.
Dismissive, disrespectful attitude from sales rep.
I have visited 3 bmw dealerships in the last week and right when I thought I found the car I wanted to buy, this dealership proved to be the worst dealership I have been to, not just in the past week, but my whole life.
Do yourself a favor and check out other dealerships unless you live in Newport Beach area. It's not worth driving from LA to this place.

Got a great deal on my M340. My old lease got a flat tire on my way to work and I called several BMW dealers to get a quote a new car. I wasn t expecting to get a car for at least another month. Irvin gave me a call and and working with him and Adam, they were able to get me a great deal so I had to hop on the offer. They also sent me a car to have me picked up from my stranded location which I m very thankful for. Irvin answered all my questions and continued to do so even after I took the car home. Hit him up for great deals!

Unfortunately there is no option for zero stars, otherwise that s where I would start. Sterling BMW has tainted my liking for BMW cars. Because of my awful experience with this dealership upon returning my BMW, I will no longer give BMW my business or loyalty.
I leased a brand new and fully loaded BMW X5 xDrive50i. While finalizing the lease, I was deceived into purchasing for $1,300 a $5,000 excess wear and tear protection package. I was told that it would cover damages UP TO $5,000. The $1,300 extra cost to protect my vehicle for $5,000 in excess wear and tear seemed more than worth it for a 36 month lease.
At the time I turned in the BMW, I was given an Excess Wear and Use bill in the amount of $2,090. I expected the entire amount to be covered since I had $5,000 in coverage. WAS I WRONG! I later learned that for any item over $500 there was no coverage, ZERO! I had a cracked windshield that BMW charged $1,200 and there was ZERO coverage for that.
I felt completely blindsided, and frankly deceived. To say the least, this whole experience left a very bad impression on me. If you are in the market for a BMW, please take my poor experience at Sterling BMW to convince you to take your business elsewhere.

I came into this dealership to look at a couple BMW's. Obviously I am NOT white. Boy I wish I was since the way I was treated. I came in on my day off, I had shorts and T-Shirt with my pair of comfy flip flops. The first sales guy walked up to me and asked if I need help. I said no because I just wanted to look around without any pressure. Then, another sales person approached me (Mark e Mark) and asked if I was "lost."

When I finally found a vehicle I was interested in, I asked to take it for a test drive and the guy kinda chuckled at me and said are you sure this is the right car for you.

I left went to Crevier BMW...Here is the funny part. I was looking at 4 series and ended up being up sold to a M5.

Never judge a book by its cover, you have no idea my purchase capabilities.

Go somewhere else and be treated with respect and dignity.
