Easiest cars sale ever. I knew Ken the general sales manager from his time at Audi and was more than willing to switch to BMW when I found out he was working there.

Ken remembered me and immediately connected me with Andrew. Andrew was very knowledgeable and got us all the cars we wanted to see.

We were all done within 60 minutes including test drive and contract signing. Very happy and will be back for all my car needs. Thanks again for taking care of us!!

Found a CPO 428i on their website. Sent an inquiry in and got a response from salesman that it's available and when can I come in. I responded that we would be in Saturday morning. He said great, he's there until 5.
Got there and was walked around the lot looking for the car. He went back into the office and came back out stating he had good news and bad,that the car was out with the owner of the dealership. He wanted me to start negotiating a price for a car that wasn't even there. He lacked knowledge of the car itself, took us on a test drive of a Gran Coupe, when we were looking for two door, and was told it's the same thing...it's not.
The owner of Sterling needs to train this person more on the product, and do a better follow up on having a car available to show before telling a potential customer to come in....so disappointed with this whole fiasco.

I had a terrible experience at this dealership. Terrible communication/terrible customer service. Took 3 weeks to get my vehicle. Dealership didnt send my docs to the tax office so I can get my plates/registration. Docs were sent to wrong address. Glad I am finally done with them.

The 3rd party transportation issues were made aware to me 2 weeks after my vehicle should have been shipped. I received my vehicle 19 days after wire was sent. I have had it for 15 days now and not 1 person has called to see if it arrived, it everything was ok etc. Just bad communication/customer service all the way around. I hope you guys can do better with the next person.

The staff, headed by my service advisor, Kristi Endicott has always been responsive, timely, efficient and above good listeners when it comes to maintaining my car. Nothing in the world of European Luxury automobiles is in expensive, but their work and Kristi's attention to detail and fair analysis of the situation has made every experience with her and the dealership service department a real positive experience.

My car had a door lock issue that needed to be repaired even though it was out of warranty. BMW Corporation had me take the car in to be repaired and Alex helped me through the process. He kept me up-to-date on what was happening and when I could pick it up. I also had a loaner car and Alex took care of that also.
He was very helpful to me.

We bought a 2014 CPO 528i last year from Sterling. We had an issue with a leak this last rain season. We called and were handled by Josh in the service department. They went above what most dealers would do and took care of the problem and actually exceeded my expectations seeing the info I read on the subject by the CPO warranty. I would recommend them any day of week. We love out car and the service they provide! Josh has dealt with me on every service and he is tops in my book.

I didn t visit the dealership. I actually sent in my offer for one of their vehicles on the lot via the Internet one morning.

Kai Groschupf replied my e-mail the same morning when the dealership opened. Not only that, he was able to call me and we got a chance to speak over the phone.

He was very professional and straight-forward. I appreciate his attitude throughout the process.

I just took delivery of my new M4 convertible this evening. I was extremely fortunate to work with Ken Babineau, the General Sales Manager, the most senior person in the dealership. We had a seamless transaction that was handled by phone / email with the utmost professionalism and exemplary customer service. Ken has been in this business for 25+ years and it shows - you know a sales leader when you meet one. I wouId not hesitate to recommend Ken and Sterling BMW to anyone wishing to purchase a BMW.

I would rate the Service manager 0 and the sales persons 4 stars. I went in for the airbag recall and the trim on dash came back damaged. After a few calls I was told the service manager KEVIN O. would call me back. A week later and a couple more calls, still nothing. I eventually called the BMW customer relations in NY for some answers. They told me to hold while they call the service manager at Sterling..... :/ the same guy who gave me a bad answer we didn t touch the trim . So my question was, isn t the airbag next to the trim? So after calling all the other BMW service departments in Orange County.... the airbag cover is above and right next to the trim. So by prying the cover open by using the trim isn t good ........ so ONE star for Sterling. I ended up spending $3 for some epoxy that doesn t soften up when it gets hot. The glue you guys used didn t hold up in the heat. You guys ever think how hot the dash gets when the car is parked in the sun all day down here in Newport Beach during the summer? Since this incident, I have purchased two SAVs at other BMW dealers. :D

This was my first experience buying a car from Sterling and it could not have been easier. I had identified a pre-owned car on their website, came in to have a look and was out the door with the car about 90 minutes later, start to finish. Mike Walters was my sales rep and Dan Walters handled the finances. Both were true pros - knowledgeable and friendly. One can buy a car from anyone - what made the buyer experience so enjoyable here was the service (the people). If you want a "hassle free" experience, give Sterling a try.

About me: Naval Officer loyal to Sterling BMW for 19 years. It saddens me to have to write this review. I have purchased one BMW from Sterling and have serviced all four of my BMWs here. I have not once ever gone to another BMW dealership. If I had to give an estimate, I'd say I've spent around $20,000-$25,000 in service fees alone. I was even contemplating getting the new BMW Z4 and now that has all changed. Previous Service Manager Mel was so great and always went out of his way to say hi to me and thank me for my military service. Sadly, things have gone down hill since Mel's departure.

What happened: Made a service appointment for a Thursday and requested a service loaner with Kristie Endicott. She has been my service advisor for more than ten years. Upon arrival, they ran out of service loaners so they sent me next door to Enterprise for a "complimentary loaner". Not a problem I thought (They have given me loaners from Enterprise before). I had explained to Kristie I was traveling for business and wouldn't be back until Monday. She explained to me there was no problem. She called me the next day (Friday) and said that my vehicle needed a new engine and that BMW no longer made engines for my Z3. *Heartbroken : (* Since no further action could be done, my vehicle was ready for pick up. However, as I mentioned to Kristie, I was out of the country until Monday. Come Monday, I picked up my vehicle after work.

Weeks later, still feeling very sad that my beloved Z3 needs a new engine and trying to find the best price on this very expensive repair, I get slapped in the face with a $229 rental car fee from Enterprise. They called me to tell me that Kevin Ormes (Service Manager) was not going to pay for more than one day of my rental car. I was in complete shock. Not once in my 19 years with Sterling BMW have they ever charged me for a service loaner. I was so hurt and so betrayed. This was clearly bad ethics and a very dishonest business practice. I knew Mel would never have done this to me.

I reached out to Kristie and she was slow to respond and began to ignore my messages. This was very out of character for her. It was very apparent that she knew what was going on and was embarrassed by this very dishonest business practice. When I finally got a hold of her, she wanted me talk directly to Kevin. I felt like being such a good customer that she should talk to him on my behalf. She once again ignored me and I had to send another follow-up email. I don't feel like she fought my case for me. I finally decided to reach out to Kevin. I was put on hold and then was told he was in a meeting. I left a voicemail a few days ago and he never called me back. This is clearly shady behavior and terrible customer service.

19 year relationship flushed down the toilet over $229. They could have easily recouped that with future services. Now, there won't be a next time.I will not do business with a company that has bad ethics and has shady business practices.

This terrible review could have been completely avoided. Farewell.

DISHONEST GENERAL SALES MANAGER KEN BABINEAU. Sterling has been at the top of my list as far as respectful BMW dealerships until this recent experience. Ken Babineau the General Sales Manager lied to us.
We came in to buy our 3rd high end BMW. We have an E39 540i and an F10 M5. My wife preferred to have something quieter and still with power but not with all the noise that the M5 delivers. So we purchased the car she wanted: a new 550i with M package and all the options she wanted. Ken immediately took advantage of us when we came in the dealership. He let us know that the advertised rate does not apply to our purchase. He did this to steal money from us on the back end (finance). He ended up stealing over $5,000.00 dollars from us and I'm extremely confident that he's been doing this for a long time and there are many other victims of his. I spotted the discrepancy and first brought it back to Ken's attention. After a 45 minute phone call with him saying nothing but "there's nothing we can do. We don't work for free. The contract has already been funded. He was not even our sales rep. Luke was our sales representative and cannot even afford his own BMW. He' s just a kid. But his Puppet Master Ken Babineau had Luke tell us certain lies that did not add up. He said we did not qualify for the advertised .90% rate, but that the rate is still a great 1.9% (On a vehicle that totals $97,000.00 - this adds up to about $5,000.00) And to think my wife was going to give the E39 to Luke and allow him to make payments to her. She can be so gullible. I think Ken knows how to smell this.

Luke texted my wife and said the above offer was still valid - then when Ken Babineau sized us up from the office window, he looked at us like "PREY." He must have thought we were those foreign types of Asians and not 3rd generation Asian Americans that we are.

I thought it was peculiar about what Ken Babineau dictated to Luke because my TIER 1 credit and my wife's TIER 1 credit scores are very high. Her score is an 862 and mine is an 872 even after purchasing another $110,000.00 car just two months prior.

Anyway, after 4 hours on the phone arguing, getting the run around (A lot of Sterling employees are sadly good at giving this.) I finally got to speak to Sean Mosley and also Oliver (Customer Relations Manager) What God Sends. They spoke to the owners of Sterling and they saw to it that the old contract was destroyed and we got our .90% interest rate from BMW Financial that we deserved. What a headache, what a tainted experience. Guess who they had initially call us to tell us the good news! LOL Ken Babineau! He came crawling back to us on the phone and had ZERO decency. He did NOT even apologize for what he did. (This is how I know that he's obviously done it before and I'm sure he's ripped off thousands upon thousands of customers. Mr. Nice Guy? OMG. He had the AUDACITY to tell me over the phone, that it cost Sterling money to buy back the contract but they did it to make me happy. Can you believe this guy?
Again, thank you Oliver and Sean. And thank you Oliver for the personal attention and personally bringing the new .90% contract to my wife's office. But once again, what a TAINTED experience.

For the past 5 years, anytime I'm looking to purchase another BMW, I've consistently worked with Justin Dayyat and he's always a pleasure to work with. He's highly professional, friendly, candid, and most importantly he knows his BMWs as well as other cars. He's not like most other dealers I've dealt with in the past in which I know more about their cars than they do. If you ask him something he's unsure of the answer, he'll look it up immediately and follow-up with you appropriately. Lastly, even after you've purchased a car from him, the relationship doesn't end there. If you ever have any questions about your vehicle after the purchase, he always makes himself available to help whenever and however he can. He'll never leave you stranded.

Recently, it was time for my wife and I to shop for a new car. We had decided to look for a pre-owned BMW 3 Series convertible. After doing a lot of research online to figure out which model and features we wanted, we started shopping in the Orange County and LA markets for the right car for us. Over the course of a long and intensive three-day weekend, we visited four different BMW dealers between Orange County and LA - multiple times. We also looked online at the pre-owned inventories of all BMW dealers in Southern California from LA to San Diego and spoke to several more of those dealers on the phone. We also spoke to a very reputable non-BMW dealer that sells a lot of pre-owned BMW s in Orange County. To BMW s credit as a company, everyone we spoke with at all of the BMW Dealerships were courteous, professional and not at all pushy.

Late in the afternoon on the last day of our BMW car shopping weekend, we ended-up back at Sterling BMW in Newport Beach. At that point, we had completely identified the pre-owned 3 Series model and features we wanted. Not only did Sterling BMW have the pre-owned car we wanted, it seemed, that in all of our shopping and research over the previous few days, Sterling had more of the models we might consider buying with more of the features we were looking for on cars with fewer miles and better prices than the other dealers we had visited or dealer sites we had researched.

When we finally made the decision to buy our new pre-owned BMW, it was nearly 6pm (closing time) on Sunday afternoon on Father s Day. We told the staff we could come back the next day and complete the transaction, but they offered to stay, do all of the paperwork, have the detail team wash and prep the car and let us take it home that night, which was pretty exciting for us. At 7:45pm that night on Father s Day, we drove our new pre-owned 3 Series BMW convertible home and we were thrilled with the service which everyone at Sterling provided us, the price we paid for the car and the car itself!

During the sales process, we had identified a few minor things on the car we wanted fixed and the folks at Sterling said to just bring it back the next day on Monday or whenever it was convenient for us and they would take car of those items. We did take the car in the next day and Sterling took care of everything we identified promptly and to our satisfaction. We had a great pre-owned BMW purchase experience at Sterling BMW in Newport Beach and now, nearly 2 weeks later, we are still thrilled with our new 3 Series convertible and completely satisfied with our entire experience at Sterling BMW. Additionally, this is our fourth pre-owned BMW and we still love the whole BMW driving experience. BMW s balance of luxury, power, handling and overall performance does indeed make a BMW The Ultimate Driving Machine!"

Excellent customer service by Alex at BMW. I went in to change my brake pads but they also completed an oil change that was due soon so I didn t have to come in a second time. I was given updates on when my car would be ready and sent paperwork on what was completed. Overall, great service!

Terrible customer service. Very unhappy, particularly with Kevin. My husband s car got hit in the service department and the staff did not even help us. It has been two months and the car is still in repair and we had to initiate the whole process to get both insurance going.
