We stayed here for a company event and they did an amazing job. Maui was absolutely amazing and the Sheraton resort made our vacation the best it could possibly be. Great job Sheraton and their employees. We hope to visit again some day!

Perhaps the most beautiful destination on earth. But I'm biased, as this is the site of my engagement and other great family memories, but you won't find a more idyllic venue. Last time there my family spent hours bodysurfing with sea turtles until sunset.

Excellent stay and the best location on Kaanapali beach.

Staff was great, rooms were clean. Great pools, and food on property.

It was by far the best experience i ever had with my family. The room was big and had a great ocean viw, we, even had our own private back yard that we shared with a few other rooms. I stayed at the cliff. Although it was a long walk from my room to the breackfast buffet. Once we arrived the upgraded our room. There were a few beetles though. The lua was perfect. The pool was refreshing and the hotel is right next to the beach.

The Pacific Ocean is 2 minutes away by walk from the room. Ocean view rooms are totally worth the cost.

We recently returned to the Sheraton after 19 years. Not much has changed which is not a bad thing! There s some evidence of age, it s not perfect but the hotel is still very nice. Rooms and staff were very nice and the location on the beach is perfect if you love to snorkel. The reef around black rock is beautiful.

For the 30$ daily resort charge you'll get bloody stained towels and that's if they have them. They're always running out with a line of people waiting around. Jack hammers and concrete saws all day. I understand that up keep is important but skip the fee during construction

I would say this resort is just okay. It s beautiful, don t get me wrong there. But there s is a lack of events, only 3 places to eat, and no landscaping on balcony s or walkways into the main living buildings. The continental breakfast was a buffet my husband and I didn t care for at all, cold $70 breakfast. Luckily, there were a lot more restaurants about a half mile down the road that we were able to walk to. They do a black rock ceremony every night, the same exact ceremony. Where a guy lights the tiki out on the rock and jumps off the cliff. It was cool the first few nights but when that s the only night time activity they offer it gets kind of boring. They do have a luau right here next to the beach but ours was cancelled due to the rain. We were told by other staff members that it was odd because they usually just bring it inside. So one of the main things I wanted to do the night before we left was canceled. I know the weather is not the resorts fault, but have a back up plan each and every luau in case it does rain. Also, We called down twice to tell customer service our neighbor was smoking the gal called back and said I had maintenance go check and they re not smoking on their balcony. So the front desk didn t trust me that they were so the whole trip we couldn t leave our door open to hear the sound of the beach because the front desk wouldn t ask our neighbor to quit smoking.

Only utilized the beach property, as the Sheraton is located right on Blackrock beach. Beach was fantastic, visited on a Sunday afternoon over memorial day weekend and had no problem getting a spot.

Amazing location near Black Rock (one of the best snorkeling spots in Maui) and Whalers Village (restaurants and shopping), on Ka'anapali Beach. Very nice resort with well maintained grounds. Fantastic Views!

Beautiful! It's probably the best properly in Maui.

Was probably a top notch resort back in the 90's. Rooms, however, have very good bedding, very good A/C, and are dead quiet.

Beautiful resort and atmosphere. Nice bars with happy hours multiple reatautants. Only downfall was some areas were under construction and the beach is smaller in past years from erosion.

The rooms are a bit dated, but the service has been excellent. The beach and having Black Rock right here for snorkeling cannot be beat.

Had an ocean view room, which includes a beautiful view of the grounds...we stayed in Hale Nalu (4000 Block) ... Right on Black Rock, which was amazing... The room was acceptable in size, minus a microwave, yet had a mini fridge....Staff was courteous and always smiling.. the pool is kept COLD, and I mean cold.... The hot tub fills with adolescents after 8, whom may or may not be guests... Alot of the lighting around the grounds are not functioning, which gets quite dark.... The access to Black Rock for snorkeling does not get any better... A wonderful stay in a beautiful setting...Live music Wed, Thurs, Friday is amazing, but happy hour starts after music ends..

Everything is perfect, beautiful beach, hotel facility is nice, great breakfast, luau performance... My room has beach view. We have great vacation here.

Beautiful resort. We loved our stay here. The only negative is the work out room is extremely small for such a large resort. Hardly any equipment or space to use weights.

Excellent location, beach right next to a pool with depths for everyone. Terrific restaurants on property and nearby.

The view from the Ocean View Room Lanai is great. The sunset is wonderful.
The staff is friendly and warm.
Take care of toothbrushes, toothpaste, and slippers just like any other US hotel.
Coffee machine and wireless kettle are available.
Valet is free on the first day of check-in.

We stayed in the Partial ocean view room but the view was pretty good.. we were also very close to the pool which made it easy for us to go back and forth everyday.. the view in front was the lawn and the Mountains on the left and pool and the beach on the right! It was beautiful..

Service is good and the rooms were very spacious and island feeling.

The resort is fantastic. Starting with the lobby, you get a great sense of how awesome this place is and how nice it is. You're overlooking the beach in just about every room and there is a great pool with a lazy river and a pool side bar and grill. The rooms are upscale with modern technology and are very pleasing. Our room opens up right into the large common grass area leading to the pool and ocean. I highly recommend this hotel and would look to stay here in the future.

Beautiful views, excellent snorkeling spot saw a few turtles and lots of fish. Great choices of bars.

View was fantastic, Lua is incredible with something for everyone from vegetarian to carnivore! The fire show is top rated and worth every penny!

Good location. Rooms and facilities are so good.
The ocean view only shows the sea from the balcony.

If you have a visiting card, parking is free. Ballet is also free on the first day.

Nice place. Very welcoming. Beautiful. Nice beach and pool. Sand is hotter than hell. Don't forget to bring a biiiiig umbrella you will need shade and water.. Without it you will die.. I repeat, take a big strong you will need shade and water... Have fun.

I must say this is the greatest place in the world to stay. My wife left her wedding ring in the room and they found it and sent it home to Texas. What honesty that is hard to find these days. Just want to say thank you and all your staff.

Great location, beautiful beach, very friendly staff.

They updated the rooms but actually nothing was put on right. I wish I could show pictures of our room. The bathroom door handle was put on incorrectly and is falling off the door, the phone is broken so we have to use it on speaker for it work, the guest services are sometimes rude we asked for a blanket and they said the hotel didn t come with an extra blanket and we had to ask multiple times in order to get one, It seems like they took away amenities rather than adding them. They turned the lounge rooms into conference rooms that can t be accessed anymore. You also have to put on bracelets when you are in the pool because they need to know you re apart of the hotel. It s a great location but the hotel is actually not as nice as it used to be. The elevator was down for two days so I m not sure what those who cannot go up 8 flights of stairs would do in that situation.

Pricy but the resort is really nice. In june it is really crowded. Sometime the service is not as expected for the price. For example there is no business center with computer to use, today at 10AM there where no beach towels availabel and the waiting time for check in was to long. But the property and rhe beach are beautiful. Selfparking is 22$ a day extra.

Super uncomfortable beds and big gap under the door and the cockroaches were coming in we killed 3 of them. Would not return here although the pool looked really nice.. For the money you can do much better elsewhere..

I like the beach in front of the hotel. I can enjoy snorkeling with big sea turtles. Sunset view from Black Rock is also excellent .... I like it because people are not crowded.

I got dropped off for a spa trip. My driver called asked the front desk to open the gate to turn around since he was driving a large vehicle. They sent security to yell at him and be nonproductive, refusing to let him in so he could turn around on the narrow passage.

I parked at the Sheraton to go to Black Rock Beach. There is a small free public beach parking lot but it's almost always full. Parking in Sheraton's day parking lot is $8 per 20 minutes, $24 Max. After snorkeling at the beach, we had lunch at their Cliff Dive Bar. Mai tai (good and strong), chicken wings (meh), and fish tacos (delicious!).

So we went here for Sunday Brunch and I wouldn't ever come back. For the price: I was expecting chef quality food. Not premade/ frozen/canned products, & not eating on paper plates. Extremely disappointing.

If you're lounging by the pool, be sure to check out the Cliff Dive Bar. Excellent fish tacos and obviously the best drinks at the resort

Very nice resort and friendly staff. The whaler's village shopping area and many restaurants are within walking distance. Did not enjoy the public beach next to the black rock due to the significant current and the crowd. The pool was great. There's a luau next to it three days a week. We used vallet parking, which was not charged first day. The resort has some construction, but did not bother us.Resort fee included wifi charges.

The view of our room, building 6, was phenomenal. The quality of the room itself was that of your average hotel, nothing special. The quality of the service we received from hotel staff throughout the week was average to below average.

This is my second time visiting with my family and we have loved it both times. It has a lovely pool area with excellent beach access and beautiful ocean views. I had the most amazing massage with Anne and my parents also loved their massages with Ria and Elizabeth. Thank you for a great vacation!

Quality of the hotel and room were top notch. Service was excellent. We stayed here for our last two nights on Maui. If you're looking for resort life and ease, then this is the place for you.

We stayed as overnight guests after a flight cancellation. The desk staff were exceptionally welcoming, friendly and efficient, especially considering the rush of people in the same situation with whom they were dealing at once. The same description would apply to the serving staff in their local outdoor bar and grill - we visited twice the next day because of the quality of the service!

The rooms were clean and well maintained, as were the grounds. The resort has ocean views and beach access as well as its own lovely blue local pools. Overall it seemed very family friendly.

We were pleasantly surprised at the access to free Wi-Fi, which is definitely not always a guarantee at a high end resort. It did have some of the pricing issues expected at a 4-star accommodation (eg: $5 US bottle of water available in the room while the tap water tasted off, $7 small smoothies at the grill, etc) but overall it was a very pleasant stay and we would consider it again in future travels.

The property is beautiful. The ongoing strike is a pain.

Service is a bit slow at times but the location and amenities are amazing!

Stayed in building 6, deluxe ocean front. Amazing view! Room also had fridge, microwave, and Toto toilet. I think resort is better for families rather than couples.
Good: location, snorkeling, BlackRock, pleasant staff, renovated rooms, sunset, walking distance to Whalers
Bad: resort is disjointed very long walks and elevator rides to lobby/beach, housekeeping was spotty, bugs, not enough shade around pool, guests reserving chairs, rowdy kids in pool.

Not a 4 star hotel - closer to a 3 star. Poorly managed, out dated hotel. I wouldn t recommend staying here. The lobby is depressing. Most of the staff seem unhappy. We stayed for 4 days. Upon arrival the room was not clean - room was dusty, fresh stains and crumbs on carpet, the towels were all stained and there was an army of ants on the counter and cupboard area by the coffee machine and in the washroom. We told the front desk and they said they would send someone to spray and clean. The room hadn t been dusted or vacuumed and I started having trouble breathing. They sent someone to do a deep clean on the third day, which was too late as we were checking out 11am the next day. The worst part of it all is that no one takes accountability for anything, the front desk blames the cleaners, the cleaners blame the cleaning schedule. Again, poorly managed. There are so many other hotels on the same strip. I recommend spending a little more and staying at the Westin, where they seem to be upgrading their rooms and overall treat you better. After a long day in the sun, it would be nice to come back to a room where you can recharge and unwind - not going to happen here.

Resort is in great location on the beach. Pool could have been heated to make it more enjoyable as it was colder than the ocean.

Great location! There is a cliff people where people were jumping off of the entire time we were there. Rooms were nice. The pools were nice! Buffet breakfast was good and happy hour was every morning from 10-Noon. Every night at sunset there is a sunset ceremony with a hula dancer and a kid with a torch that lights all flames and dives off of the cliff. It was a nice touch. There wasn t a lot of shade by the pool and unless you claimed spots at 8 am you were in direct sunlight. We paid $55 extra each day to reserve casabellas by the pool to have some relief from the sun. Food was ok. Not upscale. But it was a quick walk down Kaanapali beach to a number of other phenomenal restaurants at other hotels and whalers village.

Great little confusing getting around but once your use to it its fine. Food made me barf at one of the places. If u book a room they might mess it up pool and beach is amazing .

We came here for my Mother's birthday. It was during the labor strike so there was limited service. We were provided outstanding services by Miriam at the front desk and Mari on phone guest services. The only reason for 1 star less is that we wiped out at Black Rock Beach by sudden strong waves in the shallow end. My mother was injured and got a cut below her eye. We were told to go to the front desk to have security bring us an eye wash for safety purposes. We waited for several minutes, then security came out, told us they didn't have an eye wash available and then he proceeded to lecture my mother about how it was unsafe to swim right now. I asked nicely for him to stop so we could go to our room to wash out my mother's eye. He ignored me, told us he was a local and knew what he was talking about and continued to admonish my mother. How unprofessional is that! I held onto my temper and just escorted my mother back to our room. How can the hotel not have 1st aid eye wash available? Strike or not? Or have a horrid employee like that security man? Not cool Sheraton.

It was not an authentic Luau but it was still really good and it did the job. Drinks were great, and that's what we paid for but it ended far too early

Booked a massage and facial and stop by an hour later and couldn't use the bathroom
After spending so much money there I thought it wouldn't have been a problem but I guess not .

We attended the luau at the Sheraton. It was FANTASTIC! arrived to a flower lei greetings and they we're handing out Mai Thai drinks for adults and fruit punch for kiddos. Once we were seated they had a few fun games and activities to do. The kids could run around on the grass and play. Dinner was excellent. True Hawaiian food. The show was so much fun and they even pulled audience members on to the stage. Would love to come back and recommend anyone who loves a good time to check out this luau!

One of the best properties and beaches in the Hawaii Starwood family. A resort without the crowded resort feeling. The pools are fantastic and everything is very convenient.

Once you get over how dated this hotel is (hello brown and mustard pattern carpet), its actually not too bad. The staff are helpful and attentive when required. The rooms are kept clean. The location next to Black Rock is quite amazing. Value for money is not the greatest (there is an extra charge attached to pretty much everything) and the stupid resort fee that is so prevalent with Hawaiian hotels is something to suck up. Having said that, in my experience, the stay was relaxing and enjoyable.

My second stay at the Maui Sheraton, ranks as one of my best resort hotel stays.
