We came here for my Mother's birthday. It was during the labor strike so there was limited service. We were provided outstanding services by Miriam at the front desk and Mari on phone guest services. The only reason for 1 star less is that we wiped out at Black Rock Beach by sudden strong waves in the shallow end. My mother was injured and got a cut below her eye. We were told to go to the front desk to have security bring us an eye wash for safety purposes. We waited for several minutes, then security came out, told us they didn't have an eye wash available and then he proceeded to lecture my mother about how it was unsafe to swim right now. I asked nicely for him to stop so we could go to our room to wash out my mother's eye. He ignored me, told us he was a local and knew what he was talking about and continued to admonish my mother. How unprofessional is that! I held onto my temper and just escorted my mother back to our room. How can the hotel not have 1st aid eye wash available? Strike or not? Or have a horrid employee like that security man? Not cool Sheraton.
