Great place! Just didn't like the beds too firm for me!

Resort is very scenic and the staff is friendly. Absolutely stunning location. Only reason to dock a star is because everything at the resort itself is fairly expensive (breakfast, beach chair rental, etc). I'll likely come back and update this review when my stay is over!

My fiance and I took a couples dive with Randy. Had a great time! Randy is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. He explained everything to us before the dive, watched over us during the dive and made sure we enjoyed the dive. He took great pictures of us and sea life during the dive. We got the pictures on a CD when we returned from the dive. I enjoyed the dive so much that I did a private dive with Randy later that morning. Highly recommended!

Right at the iconic Black Rock, (popular jumping spot). The waters on this side are usually very clear with some fish and the occasional turtle. Beach gear and activities are available too. Both free (usually full) and paid parking are available at the parking garage with beach access. But restrooms are for resort guests only.

So far the stay has been excellent. The location is great and the trolley is very convenient!

Service is slow, half the time the front desk doesn t even answer the phone during the day. The rooms are not clean. The grounds are well-maintained. The food wasn t good and there are rats running around the pool area. By far one of the worst hotels we stayed at in Maui.

Great flathead pizza, and the atmosphere is relaxing.

Our oceanfront room was great. Views are spectacular. Warm welcome when we arrived. Lovely 5 night stay. I would definitely recommend. Pool area had plenty of lounges. I was a bit surprised about the small number of places to get something to eat within the resort, but Whalers Village was a 10 min walk which was fine.

The Good: Morning buffet at ROCKsalt has some great food including Belgian waffles and an omelet station. In-room fridge works well. Nice hotel location next to black rock. Nice pool area. Decent selection of new gym equipment. Good WiFi. Well-maintained grounds.

The Bad: Mattresses give poor back support (we're sore every morning). The entry and bathroom floor isn't mopped between guests (ours was filthy). The A/C is a hydronic system (air blows over centrally cooled water pipes). Because of this, it doesn't remove humidity like with a typical evaporator coil (terrible for a humid place like Hawaii) and worse, it was unable to get our room below 70 degrees, even when set at 65. This made our room uncomfortable. However, the gym was even worse, with a ridiculous level of humidity. Very uncomfortable for working out. One of the main elevators is broken (right where we go down to breakfast in the morning). Breakfast is overpriced. Ten minute walk from the south end of the hotel (our room) to the gym. Lastly, the A/C in the gym appears to be covered in mold. Not what I want to be breathing while working out.

We're still on our vacation here, but overall we're disappointed with our stay and can't recommend coming here.

I have stayed here many times over the Las t26 years. It was our favourite place. my husband died in January this year. I visited your site to look for memories and I found them . Thank you for that. If you want to make great memories stay at this hotel.

Wonderful place for a family vacation or a group business meeting. Plenty of things for kids to do without feeling like a "kiddy" resort. Lots of bars and dining on the grounds with fast service, strong drinks, and ok food. The absolute closest resort to Black Rock (as it sits on it) with wonderful snorkeling right off the beach!

room was beautiful. staff went above & beyond and they ALWAYS had smiles on their faces! the resort bars and restaurants were excellent. beach was uncrowded and perfect. well done! Mahalo!

The location is awesome! Walk from the pool to the beach. Very nice snorkeling spot. No microwave in the room which is inconvenient sometimes for warming up some food for the baby.

Unfortunately only 3 stars, because totally overcrowded. Too few beach chairs at the pool area, too few shade (umbrellas), too many people, beach chairs $ 40 / day, too many strangers in the area (by public beach and Black Rock), a private towel was stolen from our couch , Plant in the years, balconies not planted. In sum, we find, the price is no longer justified. Noteworthy are the great long beach and the buildings on the cliff.

Beautiful resort, food is good. Beach is clean and water crystal clear.

Great location for diving or snorkeling right off the beach. They have rental equipment available onsite. Make sure to sign up for SPG club in order to get discounts and special offers. Rooms are small and smell funny though.

I'd give four stars for location and the area.

The service was ok in parts but rooms were not great. We found a lizard and then leaky ceiling.

First day staff was kind and helpful. When we told them about the lizard the promptly changed the room, offered help with luggage etc.

Next day when we reported the leak, they didn't help us much. A repair person was sent which took hours. The staff at the front desk didn't seem much concerned when it was brought to her.

Very friendly people. Resort was super clean. I will for sure be back. Stayed one night and dreaded over to Marriott. Let's see which is better

My husband and I eloped in Hawaii and stayed at the Sheraton. We had an incredible experience, the view is beautiful, the grounds are well kept. All of their dining options are delicious, their luau was so much fun! The customer service was incredible and my outdoor cabana massage was the best massage I have ever had! We had an amazing time.

A great place to stay if you re in Maui. The beach is one of the best on the island and the resort itself is sprawling and well kept. Had to ding a star because my husband and my stay was interrupted multiple times with the sales staff trying to rope us into those hokey tours of timeshares. Other than that, a great experience.

Rooms are nice, staff is WONDERFUL! Taking great care of us during this hurricane. They are making sure we are being kept up to date, setting up meals and making sure we ate safe during this time. Thank you!

Great beach access straight to Black Rock. Awesome pool and beverage service. Very relaxing.

Very disappointed in our stay here. Upon arrival, we found out is cost an additional $22 per day to park. We were never informed of this while booking. We had paid for a partial ocean view. We get to our room and it was very dated and the balcony was very tiny, only room for one person to sit outside. There was very loud due to the construction going on site. The Jacuzzi was closed for entire visit and the restrooms were closed most of the time. The food prices on site were very high and the quality of food was very poor.

Beautiful beach. Resort is short staffed and not clean. Luau was good. Price too high and n ot clean.

Great location... nice beach, but, the hotel is a little old and they are renovating it.

I am a perfered member of both Hilton and Sheraton hotels. We just came from a disappointing stay at the Hilton resort Maui. From the moment we pulled up the valet guys treated my wife, kids and myself like royalty. We were all given a a shell necklace, a refreshing drink treated with a smile and taken to our rooms. What a welcomed relief after the miserable hectic debacle of an experience at the Hilton. As a matter of fact, I had to come back to the service desk because our towel cards were missing a I had to get new ones for the kids. The line was quite long and frustration must have shown on my face. The concierge Bradley Keaton must have noticed and asked if there is anything he could help me with. I told him my dilemma. He said no worries he'll call down to the beach and have towels waiting for us. Wow an extra r5 minutes of sun and fun thank to an observant Bradley. It was a great stay for our family and we will be back for sure. In my books the Maui Sheraton is a must stay resort. Thanks to a great staff

Crowded not a friendly staff at the pool. Pushy demanding your IDs every time you dose off in a lounge chair not a restful place to go if you want to just lay in the sun.

Great location with good snorkeling and beach. Down side is its getting a little old and pricey for what you get.

This is our favorite beach in the world! Safe for swimming, teeming with wild life, amazing turtles, and beauty unmatched.

My wife and I returned to the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa for a couple nights this past week and could not have been happier - we absolutely love this resort. We actually got married at this resort back in October of 2015. Upon our return we kept saying how great it was to be back here and how much we love this resort. In fact, we ended up at the Westin Ocean Villas Resort for the remainder of our trip due to a package deal and found ourselves returning back to the Sheraton to spend the day and continue enjoying this beautiful property.

Pros: Fantastic snorkelling, great views of the ocean, amazing pool areas that wrap around and flow nicely into one another. The landscaping is exceptional, happy hours all the time for drinks at three different bars and the service is wonderful here. The room was spectacular as well, very nice complimentary upgrade during our stay. Valet parking is complimentary upon arrival for the first nice as well which is a nice perk.

Cons: A little dated in some areas and no kitchenettes for people to make food if that's what you're hoping for. We already knew this but for people who have kids and want a room with cooking abilities this isn't the resort for you.

My wife and I will always continue to show and express our love for this property, it truly is one of the best we have stayed in during our travels in North America.

We went for drinks, while everything tends to close around 9 they were still able to serve us and the drinks were quite good.

This place is amazing! The breakfast that comes with your stay is way above average.

Great location. Friendly staff. Would defently stay here again. Room is on top of black rock faces south so I miss out on the sunsets. Also requested a king sized bed and got a room with 2 doubles. Eh. I'm not letting it spoil my stay.

There are better hotels in the area for the same money. Breakfast quality was poor and boring when compared to places like the Weston. Weston rotating their breakfast menu daily, whereas the Sheraton was the same, glorified continental breakfast every day. Location is quieter than the Weston, but I also had the feeling of being left out of the party. Walk half a mile down the beach and things were hopping! At Sheraton, not so much. I will say the service and attentiveness of the employees are great! In hindsight, I won't be coming back and don't recommend Sheraton.

Place is nice, grounds are lush and beautiful. Just a couple little things. If a room is $850.00 a night then you shouldn't charge $30.00 for a cheap breakfast buffet. Honestly at that price it should be included. Secondly there are small repair issues located around the property. Broken door handles to the lobby stairwell, water damage to the walls in carpeted hallways, water damage causing paint pockets in the stairwells, broken tiles, broken railings, a pool missing a LOT of tiles and in desperate need of a resurfacing. These are things I don't expect to see for $850.00 a night. Sheraton your margins on this property are already ridiculous. Maintain it.

While the Sheraton Maui is a bit spread out, the campus is huge, the people here are fantastic and welcoming. I've stayed multiple times over the last 5 years or so and I've always held Platinum status while doing so. Because of the reward status, we were given basic breakfast in the restaurant for free. The pools are great. The location can't be beat - right on the ocean with a HUGE beach. We loved building #6 as it was further along the resort allowing for more privacy. Enjoy. If you are coming to kaanapali don't stay here. This is the 5th hotel I have stayed at on kaanapali Beach and it is by far the worst. The building is old and it smells funky. The carpet throughout the hotel is faded, stained, and in some places is coming apart. The carpet was so worn in our room that the corners were fraying and you couldn't even make out the original pattern. The room is small, the ceilings are so low to can touch them in the hallway. Nobody seems to know how the hotel functions. Bell hops told me concierge had the towel card, after trying to sign me up for a time share tour the concierge told me from desk had them, after waiting at the front desk I was told you needed a room key. I didn't have one since I was checking in early so I didn't go down the pool. When I got to the pool 4 hours later with my room key the towel guy told me all I needed was my last name... The pool is tiny for a resort of this size and the chairs fill up by 8am. We found cockroaches on the outside furniture and in the bathroom at night. rental car was blocked by staff in the guest parking lot. water refill machines with reusable water pouches is the only lesson the other resorts could learn. It should be a crime for them to advertise this as a 4 star hotel.

Went to the luau here and it was pretty fun. Open bar with decent food and entertainment. It was a pretty good experience.

Very friendly staff, nice grounds and facilities. Location is excellent as it is right at the black rock on kaanapali beach where there is very good snorkeling and a high chance of seeing sea turtles!
