The Resort is nice but I expected more. The local vegetation and the ocean give the sense of a super Hotel.Il Parking is extra and costs around $ 22 self park $ 32 otherwise the most Valet taxes and tip. The WI-FI is there but paid $ 25 per day plus tax. I do not think the luxury ... of a place (Resort) in 2017 is determined with this paid service when in the US is free, I think is to be reviewed. However, no Resort in this area has the service included. The room: there is an attack convenient outlet to charge your phone, and even a USB connection. The room is very simple not from Resort. I enclose photos of the state of the room.

Got a nice view from our room. Nice location that's near Lahaina. Great sandy beach with rock for cliff jumping. Nice snorkeling spot too. Bed is clean but I found a couple of cockroaches on the table and in restroom. Hopefully none is hitchhiking back with me. Valet parking taking forever to get the car. I like how the hallway is open so it got a nice beach breeze flowing through.

Stayed at the Sheraton for a work awards trip. Overall experience was fantastic and the grounds were beautiful. Room service hours were limited and a steamer for our formal wear was not available were the only complaints.

Great location and all the staff are helpful and friendly. Minus one star for not having enough lounge chairs for guests. Guests were actually fighting over lounge chairs and couples couldn't find seats together.

I visited at the end of the year and had the room upgraded on the spot, but the Japanese staff responded promptly.
The water temperature in the pool was a little too low and I didn't feel like entering. The sea will soon deepen, so please quit unless you are in the swim. I saw a drowning person. There was a foreigner who interrupted me by renting a cabana, but I was having trouble with other foreigners.

Beautiful place, terrible service. I had traveled to Hawaiian islands three time before this one, and had wonderful memories every time. The people made my stay as enjoyable as possible. Not at this place. People working here are trying to be as of little help as possible. It is always difficult to find help, when I do find someone to ask, they either try to give me as little information as possible, or lie straight to my face. Maui is a beautiful place, so many things to see and do, and your vocation time is precious. These people make enjoying my short time here very difficult. If you want to fully enjoy Maui, do yourself a favor, book some place else. The TV is not working. We had to ask for bath robes. Why weren't they in the room already? The pool is tiny. And if you have kids and want to enjoy some nice pool time, forget about it. What a dump.

We ve been coming here since the late 80 s and even though the lobby was under construction the stay was our most enjoyable to date. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The location at Black Rock is beautiful and relaxing. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful.

Had a very enjoyable 2night stay. Only downfall was I expected to have a microwave im the room but it's optional with an additional fee. Guess I'm just use to common hotels providing microwaves in rooms. Other than that, LOVED our view and wr

Nice location. Room was small but seemed recently upgraded. Check-in was terrible. We arrived at 1230am and the lobby was dark with no one around except one man behind a small counter that was playing an electronic game. He checked us in, handed us a map and said we were in building 4. After we parked we spent a half hour trying to find building 4. The map,was terrible, as you couldn t read the small print and while it had a legend you couldn t see the numbers on the buildings on the map (plus the map didn t have a building 4). Very frustrating. We asked about places to get food as we hadn t eaten in 12 hours and he said everything closed at 10 pm. We asked if that was because of construction or something and he said no that is the way it is . Really- at a large resort you don t have room service past 10! Later we found out there are only a couple restaurants open by the pools and the food was not that good.

Needless to say we were a little skeptical after reading all the reviews but were pleasantly surprised. We booked a few days here during a 2 week vacation with a lot of family .. so this was our little getaway. We absolutely loved it! We stayed during a busy holiday season so we didn t expect to get chairs at the pool but we did. We ended up reserving the covered chairs our last day which was wonderful but not necessary if you wanted chairs. The food we had at both outside bars were great and the staff we had were wonderful. I am guessing we had a remodeled room since I cannot relate to the other reviews about the rooms. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautifully remodeled, great location right off one of the best snorkeling spots. Disappointed that we paid extra for a partial ocean view. It's mostly a view of the old tennis courts and the balcony is barely big enough for the single chair on it. Can't really even enjoy our partial view.

Resort was very good but not great. Service and room we got were very good, although the resort was large so different sections rooms could have been different. The views from the beach and our room were fabulous. Resort was missing the wow factor, which could have been due to the fact that most of their beach was missing (winter storms had taken most of the sand). Think it s a better fit for families rather than adults.

Gorgeous view, friendly staff. The pool is huge, but could be more well lit. There's a few restaurants on site, and they have all been pretty delicious, but the cheapest meal for two that we have paid for has been $58. They also offer a free shuttle between the three sister hotels and another that takes you to three locations for shopping, dining , and entertainment, which is pretty neat. The water pressure in the shower leaves a lot to be desired though, especially when trying to bathe after being in the ocean and trying to rid yourself of the sand.

Beautiful rooms and pool/beach area. The grounds were well kept and the rooms were very spacious. Unfortunately our room seemed to be attracting ants. We discovered what appeared to be toothpaste spread on the side of our door that was attracting them inside. On resort food options were somewhat limited especially on Sunday/Monday when one of 3 restaurants is closed. Food was generally just okay, but very overpriced. Over 20 bucks for a continental breakfast of cereal and a couple pastries being picked at by flocks of birds, and dinner entrees all ranged from 40-60 dollars. Eventually we just started driving off resort for all our meals as we were finding much better food for half the price elsewhere. After 8 it felt like the resort just shut down, and there weren't many activities available at all. Overall for the price it felt lacking and were being overcharged for everything else once we were there.

This hotel was a big disappointment. Not what I expected at all from a Sheraton. No signs for the ice machine it was removed from our floor. Spent 20 minutes looking for ice after hours. The spa didn't have a nail tech on so they sent me to another place that was horrible. Worst mani/pedi I've ever had. Pool closes at 8pm.

My husband and I did not stay here. We went here to snorkel at black Rock beach. We went to rent the equipment for snorkelling here and the woman who was working at the beach equipment place and she was just rude. She was not friendly and we were thankful to be staying at the Westin.

Incredible views of the ocean. Someone said 80% or more of the rooms have a view of the water, and I don't doubt that. Great food, drink options, pools provide a nice alternative to the beach. Snorkeling/swimming at Black Rock is a must. Decent rental prices and good bang for your buck, all around. Whaler's Village is really close by (walking distance) and has several great options. You're right on the Beach Walk, which has tremendous scenery, golf courses and lots of rating options. Would definitely recommend this place!

This hotel is amazing! I almost gave it 5 stars. Reason I didn t is because of one reason and that is it. I was going to give this hotel 3 stars, but the reason I gave 4 is because I lost my headset and the nice girl at the front desk took time and actually looked deeply in the back for it and found my $250 Bluetooth earbuds. I was extremely grateful!!

1) The pillows are awful. I am a side sleeper and they need to have firmer pillow options. Their pillows are down and you just sink into them.

I had to go buy a $7 pillow that is firm. Good to go. I can even leave it here. No big deal.

The rooms are smaller but it s okay. They gave me a free upgrade to a direct ocean view and I was VERY appreciative!!!! I live on another island and come here often for work and this hotel was a HUGE TREAT.

Everything is expensive but that s for the tourists. Don t let that deter you. Come to this hotel and you won t be disappointed.

Remember this: GO SEE THE REST OF THE ISLAND!!!! DON T just stay on the hotel properly your entire stay. There is so much beauty on this aina and if you don t see it you never will.

The drive to Hana is awesome. Go to the top of Haleakal !! Go to downtown Lahaina! Get into the water! Jump off that cliff you see when you stand in the lobby!!!

Five star location two star service. We have stayed at Sheraton on Maui on several occasions because of the great location and beautiful beach. Unfortunately it feels like things have been going downhill. The food ranges from mediocre with a touch of horrible (room service) to average and overpriced (the restaurant). Today there is some sort of convention happening at the resort. They rented the spot usually reserved for luau and the whole resort is forced to enjoy sales types giving each other awards with over the top narration until 10PM. Basically the attitude of the management seems to be that of a short term profit making at the cost of quality.

Hello Mr.Yamazaki,

Hello Mr.Yamazaki,

We recently stayed for about a week in your room on Monoa building room 6320 & 6321. I want to tell you that your resort is great in all ways. The best part about it was your employees. Each, I mean each of your employees I encounter while walking through the resort or the beach were awesome. They greeted with smile and are ready to help in any ways possible.

My sister was sick and on check out day our flight was at 10:30PM. We needed a later check out and they helped us until 1pm. After that we went to inspect the waiting room or the hospitality room and ask for pillows as my sister was sick and she wanted to lay down. NOW THIS IS WHAT BLEW MY MIND AWAY. YOUR DESK CLERK NOAH NEEDS TO BE PROMOTED!!! He was the best. He saw how bad the station was as we were about to call an ambulance and go to the ER. He made some arrangement and told us that we can stay until 8:30PM WITHOUT A CHARGE!!! I mean wow!!! That is customer service. SO hats off to him and your team. Few other names I want to recognize as Gabriel (Gab) was awesome when he checked us in with good info about the area and hotel. Also, Alex was great who helped me find Noah and help me take few pictures.

I run and own mid-scale hotels in NC and my hotels are #1 in reviews on major website and its all because of great staff and mgmt team. I am going to leave this same review is all sites that I can as you guys deserve it.

So thank you for everything!

Chet Patel

Very large room with a small balcony overlooking the ocean. Structure not recent but still in excellent condition. Given the price I was expecting some more inclusive services. After 10 pm almost everyone closes.

I was really glad I could book a night at the hotel last minute on vacation so I could have access to the beautiful pool-- it is a big winding pool where you can spend hours and feel like you haven't seen it all/gotten bored. My almost three year old loved the tiny water slide. Also, props to Noah the front desk guy for a pleasant check-in experience. And the common areas of the hotel had beautiful views.

Problems included: Not being allowed to sit in any chairs at the pool because they had all been reserved all day--we were told we could sit in them until we were asked to move-- but not to get too comfortable, as if it were a normal policy for a $300 a night hotel to not have any pool chairs available for paying guests. The pool lady was pretty rude conveying the information and walked away before I could get my questions answered. Also, at no point were even half the chairs filled-- so the reservation system probably needs to be amended for shorter reservations and all guests deserve an explanation of the policy prior to booking. I am used to paying for/booking cabanas but a normal lounge chair or just chair at the pool should be included in the resort fee. The other big problem was that there is no soundproofing in the hallways/ guest rooms. Some other guest in my hallway was having some kind of issue that required Sheraton personnel and while the drunk guest was a little loud and unpleasant it was the Sheraton employee on his radio literally standing in the hallway in front of my door at 1 AM that was really keeping me from getting any sleep. When I popped my head out and told him I couldn't sleep because of the radio-- he said "sorry" but kept radioing in front of my door. He should have walked 15 meters to the common area in front of the elevators where the sound wouldn't have disturbed my family.

Stayed here for just two days as not a big fan of resorts. Breakfast was basic. Very clean though and close to the beach. We did snorkeling and saw a sea turtle which was great until some muppet tried to feed it a sausage.

Overall we were disappointed with our stay.

Overall we were disappointed with our stay.

As an aside, a prior reviewer Colin Smith lamented that the resort was "crawling with children and teenagers." What an asinine comment. I doubt he was provided with any assurances that there would be no children on the property. And perhaps he's forgotten that he was once a child himself, and presumably received a little forbearance that he refuses to give younger guests. Nonetheless, I agree with him on the matter of the resort quality.

The bigger problem was that hotel does nothing to police the multitudinous smokers on the property. We paid for a lovely upgraded ocean view, but could practically never sit out on the deck because we were surrounded by cigarette and cigar smokers blowing their stench all over the place. Even with the door closed the stench permeated the room through the HVAC ducts.

What's more, we booked a room with a King size bed, but on arrival were informed the room was oversold and had been given away. Oversold? How many no-shows do you have on Maui?

The food is incredibly expensive considering the poor quality. We gave up on trying to dine on the property.

The beach is excellent and their appears to be good active snorkeling a the property. The location is quite good. Housekeeping staff is friendly and welcoming but the service overall is fairly slow.

Overall, the property was a disappointment. We had a great time on the beach and elsewhere on the island but the resort was a low point.

Visited relatives that were staying here. The rooms were pretty spacious, and the pool area was fantastic. The beach was also great! Make sure you get guest wristbands though if visiting people staying at the hotel

Awesome location. But dated rooms. No cultural events. The beech after awhile just becomes the beach. No events to really do around, like cooking classes or alcohol tasting. Definitely a family destination, less a traveller trying to enjoy whatever is left of Hawaiian traditions (it's all commercialized).

My wife and I stay here few days, we couldn't sleep since they gave us a room next to an elevator that was really noisy , we complain and they move us the next day, to a smaller room, and for our surprise it had rauches, this was something I wasn't expecting from a 5 star top of the line Hotel, for the money they charge you would think you will get better than that, plus they charge you extra 25.00 per day, plus 22 dollars for parking per day that is on top of what they have charge you during the reservation. so may sure you understand that when making reservations here. everything else was okay beach is great, garden and pools fantastic, food is very pricy.

Fabulous location! Best spot on Ka'anapali Beach. Snorkeling was amazing - we saw colorful fish and green sea turtles in the first few feet of water, everytime. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Our ocean view balcony was the best - enjoyed most of our dinners there rather than going out! Grounds were well maintained. Would go there again, tomorrow!!!

The Sheraton Maui has gone above and beyond to create good customer service from check in to check out, with quick and tasty food/drinks and great housekeeping service all on a beautiful property. While the rooms are updated, clean, modern, and spacious the overall property isn't as "luxurious" as a few neighboring hotels.

Great location. Porter took our luggage to the wrong room and somebody else's luggage to our room. Before we went to dinner, we called and asked to have it corrected. We then went to dinner and ordered a cheeseburger, fish tacos, ice water and an iced tea for $50. Returned from dinner, luggage still hadn't been corrected. We called the porter and was told they didn't know where to take the luggage. They knew it was our luggage and they knew our room number. But they didn't know where to take it???
My wife is 6 months pregnant so we requested extra pillows. It is now morning of the 2nd day and the pillows still have not arrived.
And the third thing that has not gone well is the coffee maker in our room doesn't work. We called and asked for a new one, took showers, got dressed, at least an hour has passed and we still don't have a coffee maker.

Nice resort on BlackRock beach, a little outdated. We stayed here 15 yrs ago and back again this year. Not much change with the hotel itself. Staff were friendly. Room was clean. Good snorkel site and had fun cliff diving.

I am all for progress, but some things are best left alone. The Aloha Spirit and support for Hawaiian traditions are two examples where this hotel excels. Is there room for improvement? Sure, I'd like to see microwaves in the rooms and a real Starbucks instead of a pricy coffee cart. I am sure they'll get there, but good changes, like traditions, take time.

Overpriced and understaffed. They dont honor most of your spg benefits. SPG gold and platinum members are "upgraded" to rooms that have ocean views over a cliff where Beach, pool and restaurant access are 3 elevators, 2 walkways and 15 minute walk away. The Sheraton on Kona was much better and half the price.

They Nickel and dime tourists. $25 to use the pool, $22 parking, Breakfast isn't included. Wifi isn't free. There is no microwave. And everyone in out group woke up with headaches from the pillows they use. Staff won't let you go on Black Rock due to hotel rules and they blocked the path. Would not recommend.

We just parked there and went to the beach. The snorkeling was good and we enjoyed our time there. We didn't enter the resort other than just walking from the parking lot to the beach. (If you're trying to get a spot in the free parking, your odds are super low as there are about 10 spaces total, but you can pay $20 for the day for the regular resort parking lot.)

Rooms were nice and had friendly staff. Would be horrible to be stuck in the Moana building on top of black rock, have to take 2-3 elavators to get back to Pool area. Pool is freezing for the temprature outside, would be good in summer but they need to turn off the chiller, the ocean is warmer (went in Nov). Limited options for food, not very good for price. Found chicken bones in my quesadilla, should be all white meat and have no bones for $19. Recomend going elsewhere for food. It is a great family resort though and room rate isn't to bad if you are a Sgt member. They need to do some updates, book the moana tower seperate and change there menus and they would get a 5 star reveue.
