I had one of the worst experience of my life at any car dealership. I got an appointment in the afternoon on Wednesday. I was told at the front desk that I have an appointment with person A. I was told to wait to see that person. I waited for almost 45 minutes. Finally, I approached the front desk again to see if that person is coming any time soon and she pointed me to that who was taking care of the other two people who came after I came in. I didn't complain but no apology from the attending person either. Now I waited again for another 30 minutes for someone to show up so I can test drive the vehicle that I was looking for.
Now I am waiting again to get the detailed price but every time I was told yes they are getting the price. I can see them come and go in the back room but no word about the price. I was moved around for three different desks. After another 30 to 40 minutes that person came back with the numbers. I looked at the numbers and told them their number are much higher what I was told over the internet and compare to other dealers I visited in the area. Now the same marry go around again as I can see them going back and forth in their back rooms. Finally, a big gun came with to negotiate and he try to sell me all kind of extra stuff that I don't need. Every time asked about the price he pointed me to the monthly payments. It was shocking to me to see a such a scruples practice. I spent more than 3 hours and then just got up and left with disgust!

I cannot say enough good things about Scott Clark s service department. We have 3 cars that we service regularly with them, including a 2001 that needs a lot of TLC. Every service representative we have had over the last 10 years has been professional, honest, and easy to work with. Wesley, however, is the best of them all!

This is not my first experience with Scott Clark Toyota. I purchased a vehicle from them in 2012. My experience then was the mail reason I wanted to return and give them the opportunity to find me a new Toyota.
I can not say enough good things about the people I dealt with- first class, very professional, but caring and interested in finding me my new car.
My niece and nephew who live in the area has also purchased cars from them and have been very happy.
When I am in the market for another vehicle, Scott Clark is where I will be headed- even if it is almost 2 hours from home.

Came in to buy my first car and I was very pleased with my experience.The reason I decided to buy from here is because they have such a huge selection I knew I'd find the one I was looking for in my budget, but more importantly they would stand behind the car I bought. Jim Raulerson was my sales rep and he helped make the entire process as smooth as possible. I think I paid a very fair price for my 2012 Camry, and the peace of mind Jim was able to provide made the entire experience great.
A great selection of cars and a super service center. Helped daughter buy a car and it took 2 hours more than it should have. Bought at a Sonic dealer on South Blvd and it was literally 3 hours faster to get out. They try to wear you out so you give into their last minute price add-ons. I don't find them extremely above board to buy from. Unless you have a lot of stamina, I would think twice.
I had contacted Paul Moore prior to arriving at the dealership to inform him of what I was looking for. He was waiting for me when I arrived and was able to successfully find a vehicle for me. The experience was awesome.
I made my appointment online and had the pleasure of working with Assistant Service Manager Marshall Moore again this past Saturday. He has always been extremely helpful, pleasant to work with and very knowledgeable. I appreciate him taking the time talk to me about my car and making sure I understood what is going on. We have been using Scott Clark Toyota for service since we moved down here. The service department is modern, efficient, and reasonably priced. During our recent service, we wound up trading in our Toyota for a newer model at a lower monthly payment. The team there is very professional.

I am appalled with what just happened. I went here last week to look at a rav4. the third sales rep called me today and was the rudest sales rep out of the three. He told me he wanted me to give him a higher offer since he KNEW i have been shopping around and cannot get a rav4 for what i offered at other places. i told him this was not so since i have had some personal stuff come up. he continues to try and force me to admit that i did go shopping and have lost all my deals while interrupting me and totally ignoring what i am saying. My dad just had an emergency open heart surgery yesterday so how can you say you know exactly what i have been doing with my time? He then continues to instruct me to discontinue car shopping if i'm not willing to take the price they have offered while implyng their price is the lowest and best price. Well MIGHTY SCOTT CLARK TOYOTA who are fortunate enough to employ clairvoyants, I will never come back even if you are the lowest price on the market. Respect is priceless.
The Asst. Service Manager Greg again did an excellent job in overseeing the service needs of our new vehicle. The service staff was prompt and courteous. It's also very nice to get your vehicle washed before they hand you the keys.

Let me start by saying if you re shopping for a car (new or used), go to Scott Clark. No pressure salesmen & super accommodating staff. If you can, ask for Tate - she is the aunt you go to for advice and makes sure you know this process is gonna be easy. AND she calls after the sale to make sure everything is still ok and & that you re getting acclimated to the car.

Pete was so professional , he described what all will the service team does to my Car and I told my concerns on my Cars wheel worn issue, the way Tyre thread were wearing was some what worrying, since my car only has 20K miles and its Outer layer was worn out. he checked the Wheel Alignment,which was newly installed on site in Service Reception Bay, which said that rear wheels has alignment Issue, which i Suspected..

I gave Scott Clark another chance when it comes to leasing a vehicle and they failed again. I walked in and the sales person that assisted me (can't remember name) was very helpful and courteous. We spent about 30-40 minutes roaming the lot for some RAV4s and 4Runners to get some numbers on. We return inside and wait another 15-20 minutes for a manager which I was guessing was to provide some leasing numbers. Guy finally comes out and respectfully tells me he won't give me any leasing numbers. Baffled, because the whole point of visiting a dealer is to get some quotes. He was concerned that I got numbers from other places and hence, "I should know that their dealer will beat the other quotes." Well, if you were confident that you could beat the quotes I got, why can't you provide me what your dealer can do? It seemed like he was offended that I was shopping around other Toyota Dealers. Overall, very disappointed and complete waste of my time. I cannot believe it somewhat replicated what happened a few months ago at their Nissan Dealer. The Nissan one was a bit different in the sense that I was not buying the same day I walked in, so they wouldn't provide me a quote.
Good car, fairly efficient sales folks but then sat for almost an hour waiting for a finance manager to finalize paperwork, only after I walked through the finance dept and saw 4 finance managers sitting alone in their office on their smart phones that I raised hell and they finally called us in. They have to get more efficient if they aren t to become obsolete to Carvana and other seamless sales options.

They were not very polite. Waited in line after the gentleman walks out and sees me in my car and walks back in. I have to get out to go and find someone to check my car in and wouldn t you know it was the same one that had come out and left. Once I spoke to the service manager that had an attitude, I was just so over it all. I couldn t believe the way things had gone. Not even a courtesy car was. Wow!

If you live out of state and buy a vehicle from this dealership, know your states rules on taxes because they don't. Finally got the tag on December 27th. Bought truck on October 22nd.
Salesman was great to work with, but when it came to appraising my vehicle for trade, they appraised it at 5,000 under rough trade value. I told them that carmax appraised it at 3,000 more than they did. The response I was given, unsure of the managers title, was "then go to carmax". Didnt offer to try and match or anything. Salesman said he was going to talk to another manager the following day and call me, have not received a call back.
I understand that everyone thinks their vehicle is worth more, but knowing that the vehicle is under what normal mileage should be, not a blemish on the truck, and has many factory features that other vehicles with the same trim level do not. I feel that the appraisal is wrong.
I came here based on the great reviews and the quality pricing but left highly disappointed.
Update: After being told that they would be able to come up and give me a better price, they back out and changed their story. Now after I tried to manage a couple things on my end and taking a credit hit based off of what they told me and for them to change their minds half way through. And after requesting to talk to a manager they tell me they are too busy to talk to me.
This dealership is a joke.

Had my 15,000 mile service done today and drove out the exit thinking: I am so glad I bought a Prius here at this dealership cause I just love their service department! You must understand that I was in my 80s and went to the dealership by myself to look at cars -- at the insistence of a friend of mine. He said, "Go by yourself and buy the car YOU want!" I did -- I love it -- and I will probably drive it till they take my license off of me. Drove it 12,000 miles the first year and spent less than $400 on gas. And I do drive all over the place! Steve Vadala was the employee I dealt with and he was extremely nice.

What a great place to get your car fixed and also to buy a car every employee there shows so much courtesy it is a shame if you go to other car dealerships you would be standing there in the middle of floor waiting on someone to help you but it's Scott Clark they greet you time you come through the door that is really caring about a customer and the service department is excellent they will come and get you when your car is ready or call you on your cell phone now that is staying in touchand I don't think any dealership can top that

Scott Clark Toyota Service Department is great. Made my appointment on line. When my car was ready the Service Tech went over everything they did and any recommendations for my next service.
Gotten a oil change a few months ago because the maintenance light was on. Today the light came on so I decided to change the oil by myself. Going under the car, I noticed two bolts were missing on the skid plate and a bunch of clips for the undershield of the radiator were also missing.The oil filter canister was also very loose, I'm surprise no oil came out. I know there's short cuts to finish the job quick but please do it right techs.

I normally would sing their praises. Today I picked up my car after spending $180 (after a coupon) for my 30,000 mile service. Found someone's candybar wrapper stuffed between my seats and that the old service sticker was still up with new one half stuck over it. Makes me wonder if my service was rushed through as well. I will say that this is my first experience like this from Scott Clark and this is my third Toyota.
Brought my new Toyota Camsy in with 15K miles because of a high whining noise and an A/c malfunction in the dashboard. Very disappointed in the service because they said the problem had to be replicated for them to solve the issue. They never ran any diagnostic test. They said the same thing about the high whining noise which is emitted when the car is shut off and it can least up to 10 minutes. Their response...well that should not be happening and we would need to replicate that in order to find a solution Terrible customer service and problem solving abilities at Scott Clark

Scott Clark Toyota Service Department is great. My service manager is Crystal. She takes great care of my car and always makes sure it gets the necessary service. I never feel like they "oversell" the service needs of my car. I have been so pleased with my experience at Scott Clark's that when we purchase our next car we are hoping to buy it there and have it serviced there. We have dealt with many dealerships over the years. Scott Clark Toyota has been by far the best experience we have ever had with a dealership.
I scheduled an appointment for an oil change, tire rotation, and inspection. I arrived on time and waited in the waiting area. After almost 2 hours, I received a text message to review the recommended additional services. I elected the battery terminal cleaning service. Another hour passed by until a service tech came to report my car was complete. I settled up at the cashier desk which was very fast. I went to the key desk to request my vehicle. After waiting for 15 minutes with a large crowd of people, I moved just inside the door due to the cold temps and heavy wind. Once the crowds settled, I approached the key desk again and they said it was in the car wash. So, I returned just inside the door. After a few minutes, my car appeared out front, not washed. Ultimately, I was disappointed with the 3 hour wait when I had an appointment as well as the disorganization at the key desk. The large volume of cars getting serviced is likely the reason it takes so long to complete basic vehicle servicing. The waiting area is very nice. The staff and techs were also very friendly. I will likely drop off next time or go somewhere else.

So I had my service done about 2 weeks ago and I left this positive review below. I always come to this place and I really like it, but this happened to me and I want to make sure that superiors of this place will know about this incident and take action because I don't want that happen to me again or to anybody else and also I lost a part of my trust to you guys. How can I know that you really doing all these things to my car that you mark - DONE on the paper if this little, but important part of my service was NOT DONE? It is a BIG SAFETY ISSUE, I trust you - my safety and safety of my kids! Unacceptable!
So what happened?
When you go to service it is a tab - MULTIPOINT INSPECTION, and I always count that it is done! Part of multipoint inspection is - Topping all the fluids and checking the level obviously of these fluids. So just about 2 weeks after my multipoint inspection - my windshield fluid - is EMPTY. I am about to drive to work - I CAN'T clean my windshield??? WTH??? So I called dealership right away and female representative responds. I asked her( If you will need a name, I have it) - Is the checking of the fluids levels and topping ALL the fluids is a part of my MULTIPOINT inspection? She told me - YES. So I told her - we have an issue here, my windshield fluid is - EMPTY! She responds - you didn't clarify which fluid! ( defensive) But I asked about - ALL, and she told me YES. So she had no clue - what is INCLUDED, she took my cell phone and Manager called me back and he was really good and told me that there is a problem, it was supposed to be done, was not, but was marked as - DONE.
So how can I trust that you guys - changed my oil? Or oil filter ? Or anything else? Or maybe my brake fluid?
I am sure - this is a big SAFETY VIOLATION!
I demand radical action against mechanic that did that! He could do that to everybody and anybody!
I still going to come back to this dealership I have no choice, it is the closest one to my location, but I wish I wouldn't have this kind of experience. 1 Star down

Scott Clark promised me One hit on my credit. 2.9% interest and Wells Fargo auto financing.
After it was over, I had 2 hard hits on my credit score and they had Wells Fargo, Fifth Third Bank, ams ? Marine Works in Jacksonville doing my credit for a $9,400 used car. Ridiculous. Never again.
Recently rented a car from Scott Clark s Toyota Rent A Car and the service was outstanding! The associates were extremely helpful, kind, and understanding both when I picked up the car and especially when I returned it! I will definitely rent with them again!
First let me say how much I appreciate being treated like a valued customer! The reminder for needed service call and accuracy in time means alot to busy people. I normally work with directly with Crystal for my car but in her absence Billy treated me with the same professional. Great staff!!

Everything's fine but plan a little extra time after you pay the bill. Waiting on your car. They have one person who gets all the cars. Typical dumb stuff gives you a good experience but at the end drop the ball.
2018 RAV4. Great deal, pleasant, knowleadgable and responsive (Jose Hernandez). Deal and finance process about normal in my experience but still takes a while. Finance rep. Harold very pleasant, efficient and informative. Walk in at 1pm and out with detailed car by 3:30 in spite of owing them a $5,000 check which they had me drop off the following day..
Thought. Maybe the longish process of writing up and signing the deal was to allow time for detailing the car so it would be ready for me.
Updating my review in hopes of saving someone else from making the mistake of going to this dealership.
Just a few warnings with this dealership:
1. They will hold your keys to your car you are getting appraised for a trade until you agree to buy another car or sign the paper saying they can charge you 500 dollars until you come back to purchase that vehicle.
2. Will agree to get the payment to what you need but when you tell them a certain amount of months you are willing to finance for the manager will come back with the right number but try to slip past you that he s extended the months past what you agreed with.
3. After being stuck at the dealership until 10:30pm on a Saturday, the manager had left and didn t update the list of promises he made to us. For example trying to charge 399.00 for a second key that was promised for free. Was also promised a 2,000 discount for purchasing two cars which was never put into the deal but we were trapped at the dealership because they already took my car for the trade and would charge us 500 dollars if we backed out.
4. Service department- purchased the extended warranty because I thought something was wrong with the break line when I purchased the car but was reassured it was just the oil/grease from it being cleaned that caused that feeling. Sure enough the car had air in the break line and a broken bushing on the drivers side. They tried to charge me for flush the break line after purchasing a 2,000-3,000 dollar extended warranty and then tried to charge me to realign the car after fixing the bushing even though they caused the car to become unaligned. Every time I go in there it is a fight to not get ripped off for another couple hundred dollars. If I didn t have a warranty with them on my cars I would never set foot back in that place. What I am hoping for is a refund on my warranties and maintenance plan so I don t ever have to go there again.
The only person with morals in that place is Ace in financing.

Never got things resolved to my liking. They tried to make it right by giving me 350 dollars towards my first payment since they misled us and didn t give us the 2,000 discount for purchasing two cars. Yelp reviews are much more accurate with real reviews.

oil leakage after last oil change , notices after 1500 miles by low oil on stick, confired leak when oil seen in grave on driveway, two qts repaced before I could return;
had a leaking oil filter cap, it showed damage, Scott Clark has been my serrvice point, it was suggested that road damage had occured, not possible in regard to the amount of damage, multiple spots around the circumference of the cap, and no damage to any of the surrounding parts.
negotitated a 50/50 split of replacement part and oil change. acceptable result, still think damage done inpast changes and over torque caused stress crack, service bulletin requires 24 n/m,. service teck did not torque wrench cap when he repaces it.
I had a great experience with Mohamed, the service representative. The cashiers were friendly.

Not a great experience which was extremely disappointing I have purchased three vehicles in the last 30 years with Scott Clark Toyota. I do not write reviews but this bothered me so bad and with being a loyal customer for so long I did expect the same experience from the past. I came in around noon Saturday the 25th and I knew what car I wanted because I had already been to the Toyota dealers near me first over the last several weeks looking. I went to Scott Clark to actual purchase the car I knew I wanted. I picked out the showroom Camry and sat down with the salesperson. I told him my bank will finance and gave him what my credit score was and the interest rate they were going to give. He told me that they would match what my bank quoted me so he came back with the first price which everyone knows your not going with the first offer. He came with a print out with their finance at 3.34 and said if my score was 700 and above I would be fine. We started working together based on their finance for the next 3 hours with that interest rate back and forth 4 times. He got the price and payment where I needed it to be with a down payment and I signed the papers to purchase the vehicle and they even took the vehicle from the show room. I loved the car and was extremely happy. When he returned after making the deal he said we can t do that interest rate it would be 5.74. I repeated everything he told me with him saying he would match the credit union gave me which he didn t even do that. He said he would go back to them and I watched him start helping another customer and had to go to him to ask what is going on. In this whole 4 hour experience a finance Manager or anyone else besides this one sales person come over to me to talk with me. My boyfriend was with me and he was like something has happened here because the guy was trying to get rid of me. We feel that someone else had a deal for the same car because there was a lot of people looking at it and they wanted to take that deal instead of mind. II have never seen a sales person willing to let a over 28,000 deal walk out the door and no one trying to talk about another Camry or anything else. It was a very shady experience and I really can t believe it happened. I left so upset and mentally drained to Toyota North Charlotte. I had gone there in my last three week looking at the Camry s and 2018 cars. I purchased the same car I looked at in the showroom minus the 1795.00 package (tinted windows, pin stripe and nitro tires) with Toyota finance at a cheaper interest rate than 5.74 and a payment I that I needed. It was like night and day going over there so after a 10 hour hunt I purchased what I wanted at the place I was meant to be. I love my car and I am extremely happy. I recommend Toyota North Charlotte over the three dealers I went to during this journey.
The worst sales team ever exists. Be very careful while buying car from there. I bought New Toyota camry SE on 29th July 2015. Initially i went to Scott Clark Toyota (13000 E Independence Blvd, Matthews, NC 28105). They quoted price of $23,600 ( for which i gave them check of $5000 without signing any contract) . Later i found a better price for exactly same model from Hendrick Toyota Scion Concord (7670 Bruton Smith Blvd, Concord, NC 28027) for $21,400 (which is almost $2200 lesser). Hence i felt like cheated and cancelled the deal with Scott Clark Toyota as i had not signed any contract and i have not taken delivery of the car from parking lot. As per North Carolina State law, you don't own the vehicle until you have droven the car from the parking lot of dealer. When i asked to return my check from scott clark toyota (The sales manager and other sales person - Jim Dalo & Larry Carrillo) , then i was threatened & asked to go out of the building. My check was not returned and my wife was mentally harassed. I was a customer and i was threatened by the sales manager that police will be called if i don't leave the building.
On other hand Hendric Toyota of scion concord were extremely good and they had pleasant behaviour. I went ahead and bought car from them.
