Not a great experience which was extremely disappointing I have purchased three vehicles in the last 30 years with Scott Clark Toyota. I do not write reviews but this bothered me so bad and with being a loyal customer for so long I did expect the same experience from the past. I came in around noon Saturday the 25th and I knew what car I wanted because I had already been to the Toyota dealers near me first over the last several weeks looking. I went to Scott Clark to actual purchase the car I knew I wanted. I picked out the showroom Camry and sat down with the salesperson. I told him my bank will finance and gave him what my credit score was and the interest rate they were going to give. He told me that they would match what my bank quoted me so he came back with the first price which everyone knows your not going with the first offer. He came with a print out with their finance at 3.34 and said if my score was 700 and above I would be fine. We started working together based on their finance for the next 3 hours with that interest rate back and forth 4 times. He got the price and payment where I needed it to be with a down payment and I signed the papers to purchase the vehicle and they even took the vehicle from the show room. I loved the car and was extremely happy. When he returned after making the deal he said we can t do that interest rate it would be 5.74. I repeated everything he told me with him saying he would match the credit union gave me which he didn t even do that. He said he would go back to them and I watched him start helping another customer and had to go to him to ask what is going on. In this whole 4 hour experience a finance Manager or anyone else besides this one sales person come over to me to talk with me. My boyfriend was with me and he was like something has happened here because the guy was trying to get rid of me. We feel that someone else had a deal for the same car because there was a lot of people looking at it and they wanted to take that deal instead of mind. II have never seen a sales person willing to let a over 28,000 deal walk out the door and no one trying to talk about another Camry or anything else. It was a very shady experience and I really can t believe it happened. I left so upset and mentally drained to Toyota North Charlotte. I had gone there in my last three week looking at the Camry s and 2018 cars. I purchased the same car I looked at in the showroom minus the 1795.00 package (tinted windows, pin stripe and nitro tires) with Toyota finance at a cheaper interest rate than 5.74 and a payment I that I needed. It was like night and day going over there so after a 10 hour hunt I purchased what I wanted at the place I was meant to be. I love my car and I am extremely happy. I recommend Toyota North Charlotte over the three dealers I went to during this journey.
