I just spoke to their sales rep (name withheld) about a possibility of switching over to Safe Tech. He showed no sense of enthusiasm. He kept asking questions and gave me the impression that it would would not be worthwhile for me to switch. I am greatly disappointed. I was looking for solutions and alternatives. In return, I got nothing. Please train your sales force properly.
We had Safe Tech install our home alarm system in our previous home in 1998 and have been very happy with the work done, service and people that work at Safe Tech! When we moved homes, we had our new security system installed by Safe Tech too. We have referred family and friends to Safe Tech too as we know they have a quality product ! The work has always been professionally done with no mess or cleanup afterwards too. We highly recommend them for their product and service and the people who work there!
System has been easy to use and gives us the peace of mind we needed when moving into our new home. Sharon was great in helping us get our system set up on the weekend we moved. The technician was quick and efficient. We would highly recommend safetech

Our system was installed in 2016. The new equipment installation process (including old security equipment removal) was performed smoothly and with due care. The ongoing monitoring services and customer services were reliable and responded in a professional and timely manner. Lastly, the monitoring rate is very competitive among the industry.
I had Safetech takeover an existing alarm system at a new home that I bought and despite some initial challenges, through no fault of Safetech, they were professional and persistent in ensuring I was a satisfied customer.
I had inherited a older hardwired system in the house that I just bought which was not working. The previous owner of 2 years had not used the alarm and could not provide me with the pass codes. My challenge was to get it working, monitored, GMS upgraded plus new sensors and all at a reasonable price. Alarm tech was able to upgrade my system to run on a GMS alarm notification system so I now get the best of both hardwired and wireless alarm systems. I can control my alarm from a app, and the alarm system now activates using cellular signals rather then the phone line making it much less tamper proof. The upgrade and install cost was also about half of what was quoted by a direct local competitor. All in all we have now about 14 zones as the house coverage is about 6500 square feet. The install tech (Andrew) was very professional and did a good job installing many new sensors plus upgrading my control panel. The monthly monitoring costs are also very reasonable at about 35.00. Their post install programmer Michael was also very helpful and knowledgeable with additional programming that was required. I am very happy with SafetechAlarms and want to thank Sharon for throwing in additional sensors at no additional charge.

The people working in this company are very knowldegable. They teach me very well how to use the keypad. This company has one of the best monitoring system and they are always help me whenever I need their help.
We are a business located at 705 Progress Ave in Scarborough. Safetech took over our alarm monitoring in March this year. The transition was smooth and hassle free. The sales rep was a pleasure to deal with and the installer was very knowledgeable. He was very thorough and checked every device / zone to make sure that they are communicating to the panel. He also checked the entire wiring and changed the back up battery as part of the take over process.

Sam is the guy helped me to choose a suitable package for my new home. Initially, I was not too sure what kind of package was right for my home. I have been a client for 13 years and never had an issue. When we have had a power disruption, restoration has been a trivial exercise. Recently I had phone line issues and ST suggested I migrate to an Internet connection for a more solid line. The installation changeover was simple, convenient and quite quick. Peter ensured I could use the new system on my phone and at the new keypad before he left. Continues to work the same way, no surprises. Customer Service cares when we need.

I am with Safetech since 2014 and very much satisfied with their service. If the alarm rings for 2 seconds also in case of false alarms we get a call whereas I have seen in the some houses who have other companies system, they don't receive any calls.

The price was right at the time. I put in a cancellation request in December. The company refused to acknowledge my initial request to cancel services. I was charged for 4 more months. I complained and put in another request to cancel. AGAIN, I was charged. It wasn't until I CC'd the CEO of the company that I was reimbursed. At that, I wasnt even reimbursed both amounts. They only gave me one reimbursement (which is for four months) because my initial request was on a webform and there was no trail (even though I took a screen shot of my computer because I had a feeling this would happen). I guess they didn't trust me.
They also must have guessed my new credit card expiry date because payments continued after I got my new card (which was, ironically, after I cancelled the first time).
They also require that you rip their equipment out of your house (leaving holes to repair), and send their equipment back (you pay shipping). I'm just glad that I saw the install guy put everything in and that I can repair my own walls. They hide the siren pretty well.
Long story short, although you can cancel anytime, they have their ways to lock you in. I'm just glad that I can afford the repairs, the shipping and the four months I was wrongly charged for during these hard times (pandemic).
Edit: and they are withholding the money they owe me until I ship them their equipment.
I have been with SafeTech for 3 months now and I am happy we decided to go with them. They provide nothing but the best customer service each time I call to ask random questions. If you are trying to decide on what home monitoring company to go with . Believe, go with SafeTech! They put the customer first while providing the best alarm monitoring service!
Unfortunately, I have had one of the worst experiences with SafeTech alarms and I could go through many incidents with the company but I would like to share just a couple. Firstly, my alarm was triggered twice and in different occasions, however I did not get a call from them. (They said they called but I will get to that later) I also went through basement renovations during another part of the time with my contract and I did not hear from them at all even when the alarm system as disconnected.In my experience the other alarm companies would call right away or even send someone over.... this did not make me feel very safe.
When I did not renew my contract, I was sent over 5 e-mails to pay for the equipment which was over $150 dollars. I stated to two different employees at the time that I was under the impression the equipment would be mine at the end of the contract. They said it wasn't and I had to pay. I asked them if I could return it and they said yes I could call and they could help me uninstall it over the phone or I could pay for a tech for $70. I opted to call them and was put on hold for over an hour so I decided to hang up.
The next day, I found my contract which clearly stated that the equipment was in fact mine at the end of the contract. I again contacted SafeTech and they told me to scan it and show them. Finally, one employee said they found the contract which stated it was mine and they would send it off to accounting and to ignore the previous 5 e-mails to pay. I forgot to mention that after sending me the first batch of e-mails, I contacted them and had to wait for over a week for a reply while they just kept sending me e-mails to pay for the equipment. I was then told that person was on vacation.
All in all, my experience with SafeTech has been horrendous. I am happy to hear that a lot of you have had great experiences with them, however, I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone, just in case you may encounter my experience where I felt unsafe, and felt like they just wanted to take more and more money from me; totally ignoring what I told them was in my contract.
At least, they finally found the contract and I do not need to pay over $250 dollars for something I shouldn't have needed to.
I have been with SafeTech Alarms since 1997. We were always pleased with the quick response when the alarm tripped. Not long ago we changed phone providers which caused a problem with the alarm. Each time we called SafeTech's technical support department, staff members were both patient and very helpful. One agent spent 30 minutes on the phone with us until we got the problem figured out. I would recommend SafeTech to anyone who is looking for reliable alarm monitoring.

Absolutely amazing service. Friendly, quick, polite. All issues are resolved in no time and house is truly monitored (had more than one chance to check it out) Customer support is attentive to detail and quick to resolve any issues/questions/concerns. Had annoying yellow light at my panel that was quickly traced to simple issue of expired battery in the remote. The light was gone ever since. Transfer of the system between houses during move was a snap. Took few hours and looks as beautiful as in the old house. Even same panel is used, so I don't have to retrain my kids to use the system
We have had SafeTech monitoring our house for almost five years now and quite happy with the service and response to alarms which are usually triggered by us by mistake. The system installed by SafeTech has been working very well, including the glass sensor that was triggered by a pet one day and alerted us to get back home to ensure the pets were safe.

I bought a system from these folks. They forgot an item. I emailed and called ; they accused me of lying. Very poor customer service. I posted about my experience on my blog. The owner calls me up, asks me to take the post down. I want to send everything back he doesn't want to. I eventually do get the item but got goods I could not use the way it was "sold" to me. Waste of time and money. Maybe things got better over time but I will NEVER BUY anything from these crooks. Maybe if you are commercial they do a better job but homeowners stay away. Better products out there now.
I was looking for a security system for my home before going on vacation in just a few weeks. After contacting SafeTech, they did a great job to define my needs with me, provide an estimate and proceed with the installation on approval. I spoke with a couple other local firms and there was no way that my tight schedule could have been met because of waiting lists. I was quite impressed with the perseverance Safe Tech personal demonstrated in meeting my needs and providing a quality service.
Since installing our system in 2015, any time we have needed service or support, they have been very responsive and able to resolve issues promptly. Customer service is always great and the people doing the work always clean up and walk us through what was done.

Received a call from ST monitoring , informing that the signal strength that they receive from my house is weak, A technician visit was arranged and they relocate the signal sender device to a better position ( new location was found by try and error test). and now all is in order.
We moved from one office to the other in Brampton. The service we received from SafeTech was fantastic. Started with great planning and then on the day of the move the Technician set-up everything flawlessly. We ended up with a better system than we had before.

Been with Safe Tech alarms for many years and have had great service through them. Luckily no real alarms have been triggered, but I have accidentally triggered the alarm several times and they have called within a min to check on things.

I was really impressed with their setup service. They were on the ball and constantly communicated with me and addressed my needs. Recently, my friend entered my house, forgot the code and triggered my alarm and it took him over 5 mins to disarm it. However, what was surprising was I didn't receive any call from SafeTech to ensure my family and I were safe. This has happened to me at least twice before where I tripped the alarm for roughly 30 seconds by mistake but never received a call.
When I expressed this concern to the station and got them to validate the time checks, they simply told me that they will follow up with the monitoring station and respond to me by the next day. Its been over one week, I have called thrice, left voicemail and have had zero response. I have contacted the owner today, hopefully I get some response back.

I am upgrading my rating from one star to two star, as the owner of the company and remaining team has been quite responsive after escalating this issue. As a result of this complain/ incident they found an improvement area in their process and accordingly updated my information in the system. I am going to wait few months to see how their service / performance is and will accordingly update my rating.
Worst experience ever. I do NOT recommend SafeTech. They installed a faulty system that randomly starts beeping in the middle of the night. They promised several times to replace the system while it was still under warranty - but they NEVER did. They are unresponsive and they are not committed to a reasonable level of customer service.
While on vacation, they contacted my list to advise that there was an "issue with my alarm". This created unnecessary panic and uneasiness during my entire trip - the exact opposite of why one has an alarm to begin with. When I returned home, I was advised that it was only a dead battery in the remote! After spending $40 on a battery, the caution light wouldn't reset. I was then told that the employee that advised me to purchase a battery for the remote was not in a position to advise on the issue. And, that employee would receive more training. I was then told that it was the batteries in the key pad that needed to be replace. That cost another $20 - not to mention another trip to the store.
After a year and a half of nothing but grief, I've been trying to terminate my contract. They simply do NOT instill any confidence in their system or their service. Although they acknowledge they've fallen short, they are forcing the terms of the contract on me - which I agreed to in good faith. They haven't lived up to their end of the agreement but are forcing me to pay 90% of the remaining monthly fees. Outrageous that a few hundred dollars is still far more important to them than finally doing something that will make a very frustrated and disappointed client happy.
I cancelled this service back in November 2019. Sent an email and dealt with Malik in customer service. TO THIS DAY IM STILL BEING CHARGED! Why? Clearly no one is checking emails at this place. Horrible customer service. I want my money back as it is rightfully mine for every month since December 2019 that I ve been charged, but try getting a hold of someone! Would not recommend this company.

11 years I have been with this company .not once in last 8 yrs have I been visited by customer service as routine. Had been paying them in advance for 2 quarters not one. Now for last month I m talking to them to cancel our arrangement n send me a letter of ALL CLEAR for my accounts ( pre paid until 26th of November ). No compliance despite promises.

Their pricing is competitive and there are never any unexpected fees like with other companies.

I was called by the owner twice asking if I can remove or revise the review. Felt a bit like I was being pestered, but because my issue was resolved (details in the review below), I will update my post. Note, the process wasn't the most professional.
I was able to talk to the Client Services Manager and got a refund, but want to post about the experience in getting the refund as I was not treated with the utmost respect. Basically, I had a string of emails showing that my contract was coming to an end and I was looking at other companies. After some back and forth I asked my contract not to be renewed again (once it ended it Aug). I received confirmation in writing it would not be. Anyway when I spoke to the CSM I was told it was my fault for being unclear and not stating the word cancel. She kept on trying to interrupt and blame me. I don't know how much clearer I could have been as it was all clear in writing and confirmed by the CSM. Anyway, I was told it was my fault, but I was told a refund would be provided. No apology that an error was made by them. It was only after they saw I posted a google review, that I finally got an apology. Shouldn't have take a post on Google to trigger a apology for a mistake she made.
Look we are all human, and had my initial call been a bit more professional, I would have had a better experience and would have prob increased my rating to a 4. We are all human and make mistakes. But, based on how the initial call was, I have to be honest as well. Realising our mistakes, admitting them, and trying to do better the next time is all we can do. Anyway, I am glad this was rectified.

I cancelled with Safetech in August 2016 and got confirmation in writing that my contract would not be renewed. I find out a year later I am still being charged! I didn't expect to have to check up on them when the person who I dealt with was the client services manager themselves! I have asked for a full refund plus compensation for their lacking in doing something thoroughly. I am posting here to ensure there is action taken.
What can I say about SafeTech; I ve received nothing but the run around since my alarm system decided to stop working all together sending out false alarms to the monitoring station as well as not detecting opened or closed doors while armed .
I ve contacted the company on numerous occasions and was promised calls back but up until this morning (after sending an email to Sean O Leary; the Owner) did I receive a call back.
Malyk contacted me to say that he s found a resolution on the issue of my broken panel, that it needed to be replaced (it was installed in February 2016) and that generally there would be a charge but they d do it for free due to the issues I ve had recently and in the past, BUT (of course, yes, there s always a but) I d need to agree to renew my contract (note; I emailed Malyk about a month ago cancelling my contract in February 2019 as my 3 year term is up; coincidence?)
I refused and told him that this was exactly why I said I wanted to cancel. The lack of responsibility on SafeTech s part has been unreal.
I requested that they either fix the panel I have as I did purchase the warranty package for situations like this OR take back the system and end my contract 3 months early without any early exit fees. I don t think that I m asking for a lot considering I m not requesting a refund for the collective months that I ve paid for a service I wasn t receiving.
Malyk said he d speak to the Owner regarding our discussion and get back to me today.
I will post the response if/when I receive a call back.
I have been with SafeTech for over 20 years. Their service has been top notch. I can honestly say that I have never had any issues reaching their customer support department and having my issue addressed professionally and promptly. Take my word that you will never be disappointed with their service. Highly recommended, excellent service, a special thanks to M Malik great professionalism and pleasant attitude. This company has bad business Ethics, overcharging and Billing extra , after we notified them of Discontinuing our contract - Not trustworthy.
We just moved in to a new house where the previous owner had install the alarm system through Safetech Alarms. As we moved in the Keypad started beeping and we didn t knew what to do. We called in the tech support and Krutarth came at our house personally and disconnected the transformer and the backup batteries after his working hours. Great service! Thank you Safetech.

We've just recently installed smart home system, and it's been working perfectly. Sales person Peter we were dealing with was very helpful and knowledgeable, able to answer all of our question. The installation also went smoothly, with no errors. We feel much safer in our home now thanks to Safetech!
We had Safe Tech Alarms install a keypad entry system in to one of our businesses locations. They told us it would take a week... it took 2.5 months. Everytime I would contact them, everyone would act confused and try to place the blame on to someone else, but no answers or solutions. It would be impossible to get in touch with my rep... eventually the job got done, and there was damage to our drywall, which we had to repair on our end. The rep then had all the time in the world to ask for payment, and was very communicative all of a sudden (funny how that works). I asked for a discount due to how terrible the experience/service was, he gave me a few hundred dollars off after giving me a sob story, I was so disgusted with the customer service. I will never work with them again, and would never recommend anyone either unless you enjoy terrible customer service and insanely drawn out work completion times.

I use safe tech monitoring system for my business. I have owned a shop front for the last 2 years on a busy downtown street and we got broken into. The alarm system and monitoring saved us. The monitoring station is always there in case I need them to check if I remembered to activate the alarm. Their customer service is professional and consistent. We scheduled an installation on a Saturday and the technician that came to our house did a fantastic job. He even cleaned up after himself.

My connection to the SafeTech monitoring station was not working properly because my telephone was IP-based (from Vonage) and Vonage had made some changes at their end. SafeTech installed an IP controller at no cost to make it work consistently.
