Our home had an older (DSC PC2500) wired system and after some recent renovations, a couple of the zones weren't working anymore and the trouble light was on the panel. Our monitoring company at the time was ADT, so I called them for service. They never returned my call. After a few repeated attempts, I finally managed to get someone to come out. The ADT technician said this was too old of a system and that we should talk to Sales about upgrading our panel and maybe some of our sensors. So we did. The salesperson was terrible and we could tell we were being misinformed, so we decided to look for another company to fix our system and take over monitoring.
We found SafeTech via HomeStars and their website showed that they supported our older system. Boy are we glad we found this company. What a completely different experience to ADT. They replaced our control panel for way less than ADT claimed it would cost if they were to do it. They fixed the disconnected wiring to the affected zones, moved a zone for us, and had the system up and running in no time for an extremely affordable cost. We immediately switched our monitoring to SafeTech as well. We've had a couple of false alarms that have been responded to quickly.
Lastly, every person at this company in sales, installation, technical support, and monitoring that I have dealt with over the past year has been extremely friendly and professional. Never once have I felt that I am getting ripped off.
I would highly recommend SafeTech to everyone who needs a home security system.

My dad signed up with these guys a while ago and they didn't honour the credit they were supposed to apply to his account. For months he would call in about it and every month another bill would show up with no credit applied. He finally gave up and told them to cancel his service. He unplugged his system. Bills still kept coming. Cancelled several more times as he received several more bills. He thought it was finally done. Now my dad has moved and I live in his old house. Guess what showed up a couple days ago? ANOTHER BILL. This certainly feels like harassment. I will NEVER sign on with them and will vehemently speak out against them to anyone who asks me my opinion about alarm companies. Makes me think most of these "5 star" reviews are completely fake.
Great experience. I phoned for some help, and Sharon sent Jonathon in two days. He quickly evaluated the faults in my alarm system, offered what had to be remedied and then once he had my ok he quickly complied. Sharon then followed up and then provided me with the latest alarm manual. A professional company through and through
I recently switched to this alarm company. The technician sent three times to ensure it s 100% up to my satisfaction. The system is wireless and it s very reliable. I can even use my app to arm/ disarm my house. I am very happy with this company. They deserve a good and honest review from me. I would have given 10 star if possible. SafeTech is obviously a company that prides itself on superior customer service! I switched to SafeTech from another alarm company because I wasn't happy with that company's monitoring service. Not only did I get more attentive and accurate monitoring, but I also got a lot of advice on equipment, superior equipment servicing and a cost savings to boot! When I moved, I did not hesitate to ask SafeTech to install an alarm system at my new house. I also asked SafeTech to re-key my locks. I have been very happy with SafeTech. I would recommend SafeTech to anyone who is looking for better home security.

Not impressed so far. Moved in end of January, didn t connect service yet. Previous owner said they called in and cancelled and gave me the master code. I need the installer code. Safe Tech is unwilling to provide that code unless I have service with them.
When I called as a new owner they said there was still service under the previous owner. So they have been billed for 5 extra months by this company. By the reviews this is their standard protocol.
Still no installer code. I ll never use this company for sure!

It has been 7 years since I called Safetech for a home alarm system. The system is still running perfectly. Alarm went off couple times and we received phone calls within minutes every time to make sure we were ok. We are very happy with Safetech.

I have been a Safe Tech customer for over 6 years at one of my business locations. I was very satisfied with our recent alarm system install at another location. After installation, the wireless door contact proved to not be as reliable as needed. Safe Tech made it a priority to trouble shoot the problem and ultimately, switch the system to a wired system. Not only were the on-site technicians very friendly, the Customer Service Manager made multiple calls to advise me of the next steps and to follow-up to ensure I was satisfied. Overall, I regard Safe Tech as a company that cares about it's customers and wants to ensure complete satisfaction.
After many years with an "international" security company for unknown reasons they failed to reply to any requests we had made for advice or even how to add an upgrade to our existing system. Monthly payments continued to be withdrawn from our bank account. Exasperated, we finally sought out other security providers and chose a local company SafeTech. Excellent service and experience from first contact and ongoing with monitoring our alarm. The staff at SafeTech put together a comprehensive package for our system and installed our alarm so that it effective yet discrete in our home.
When we have accidentally set of our alarm we receive a call almost immediately checking on our well being. This is especially impressive as they even call after we put in our cancel code - I so appreciate how they look out for us!
The aftercare customer service is wonderful. My emails are answered very quickly and phone calls are to live people who have helped with all questions I have had. I do not hesitate to recommend SafeTech!!!

This company does not care about long term customers or small businesses.
I had been a customer for 11 years and for the last 5 yeas had repeated problems with the company not calling when the alarm went off. I reached a breaking point when over a 6 month period not only would the technicians not show up for booked paid appointments no one with any authority to do anything would return my phone calls or emails. I was asked to write a detailed email outlining specific issues to someone in senior management and he never followed up or even discussed it with superiors as every time I brought it up with anyone they had no idea what I was talking about. When I finally cancelled my account no one even acknowledged receiving the email for cancellation or that I had also told 2 different people over the phone I was cancelling the account. Furthermore the person I spoke with 2 months after cancelling seemed surprised I did not want to discuss rectifying the situation when no one would discuss it with me for 6 months. In addition to poor service a technician drilled through a fire rating on a fire rated door that I had to replace at my cost because without the fire rated sticker it no longer passed inspection for the renovation of my store.
Safetech Alarm is an extremely reliable company who is professional, accommodating and friendly. I had their system installed at my previous home and used them again for my current home. Their customer service is top notch and their technicians are very knowledgeable, careful, and detailed. We love being able to arm/disarm the system manually or through an app. We feel safe knowing that we can check if our home is secured with the simple touch of a button. My family and I strongly recommend this company for your security needs. You will not regret going with them.

With safety concerns on the rise, I found myself sleeping lightly and constantly worried at night about the security of my home and family. Safe Tech came recommended by another family member. The sense of security I now have at night and while I am away is tremendous and it also helps keep an eye on the kiddo's movements during the day. Safetech set up our commercial kitchen 5 years ago with door sensors, CO sensor, smoke sensor and a fridge high temp alarm. There are always small glitches when working with so many sensors, but Sharon has always been there for us, and always finds a quick solution. Thanks Sharon and team!
They WILL NOT cancel your service. I canceled my service in January, 2019, but they are keep billing me. I talked to Malik and Nadia (owners) many times. I talked to their customer service at least 10 times. I had this service for last 7 years.

I was going to try one of the highly publicized systems shown on TV, but then I did an internet search and came across SafeTech alarms. I was impressed first by their comprehensive services out of Canada not somewhere in the US, and when I spoke to them they told me that my current system can be easily updated, without any major costs. So I got a new smoke alarm to replace the one that was out of date and a pet-safe motion detector for upstairs. I can even feel safer as I get a message on my smartphone when my system is armed and when it is disarmed and by whom.... the tech support and the personalized advice is great... and the best part? monthly payment is under 25$

Our business have our burglary and fire alarm with Safe Tech for over 6 yrs. Great customer service with prompt responses (thanks Sharon!), never had an issue with their system. Customer Services/Technician very professional, polite, gives me excellent explanations, answers my questions and validates my understanding.
We have had them for 5 years. We asked to get a worn out sensor fixed. I was disappointed they were going to charge to do it given that we've needed no service at all for 5 years. They missed the set appointment twice so we called and cancelled the service. It's a month later and they are still debiting our account. brutal. Post Google Review: SafeTech did respond after reaching out to them again about the issue and agreed to refund the mischarged month and apologized. The service person was helpful and that was appreciated. Added a star but still wouldn't recommend.

All their client facing personnel such as Malik in Customer Service, Gabriel in Technical Support and Peter who makes house calls are competent, courteous, well mannered, and experts in their respective fields. All of them ensure that the client is 100% satisfied once you contact them.
Once you are set up with the equipment everything else such as monitoring, Bank fees etc. are handled so smoothly by the team like clock work. I must admit I only had to contact them handful of times during last 15 or so years, as I had no reason, which cannot be said of other service providers.

We recently purchased a new home and had Safe Tech install a new alarm system. The tech that came out was very friendly and knowledgeable and did a great job hard wiring our system. Originally we were concerned about a hard wired system as we didn't want holes in the walls but Safe Tech staff were right...you can't even tell and the system is very reliable.

They came out to check our old system and were able to suggest how it could be improved. I like that it has a local address and phone that is answered quickly. by a real person.With our previous provider we waited online for lengthy periods in order to speak with someone from a large well known company and often got long menu choices that only led to more waiting. Terrible company I had problems right from the get go. I had the alarm installed ( I already had it in place) and they charged me $493.00 for the privilege of hooking up my equipment. Shortly after I called and asked if they could mail me an additional key fob(spoke to Steve) never saw it. Called back a couple weeks later as I noticed one sensor was missing from one of the windows,they said they would mail one,yep you guessed also never showed up.
After having the alarm in place for about a year I called and asked to cancel my contract, I had sold the property and was moving into a condo with in house security. sadly they will not cancel and I am still paying.. Warning do not sign a contract with this company unless you are sure you will be with them for the full length of the term!!!

I have service for more than 4 years, never had any problems with it, very efficient customer service. When ever there was a problem that occured, customer service was always there to help me solve any issues i had. Very reasonable monthly rates and i will definitely refer to my friends and family!

I have been Safetech customer for 10 years. I switched to internet phone recently and called the office for alternative security options. The customer service representative was friendly and knowledgeable. After patiently discussed and answered my questions over the phone, he sent me an email message listing and explaining in detail at the same day. The installation went smoothly and the technician was experienced. He set up the new interactive service on my smart phone and trained me how to use the app. I am very happy with the upgrade and strongly recommend Safetech services. Consider a residential CCTV system also.
I moved to a new place that had an old questionable home alarm system. After doing some research on home star, I shortlisted five potential companies and Safetech was one of them. I gave them a call and spoke to Sharon (CSM). She was very kind and recommended a solution that best met my needs. Sharon was very prompt and responsive to all my questions and inquiries. She wasn't pushy at all (unlike other security companies). All these reasons led me to go with Safetech.
On the day of installation, Andrew was our tech and took great care in installing the alarm system. I have a baby girl who was sleeping during portion of the install. Upon the guidance of Sharon, Andrew performed all tests with the siren disconnected. I truly appreciated this very much.

They hard wired our home after it was built and installed the system which has never had any problems to date. The monitoring has been great and we take advantage of the security guard option should we be away from home and police are dispatched security will check first, for a nominable per month. We were experiencing issues with our phone line which caused the trouble light to flash on the keypad and the signal was not transmitting to the monitoring station.

Worst business to deal with. Paying them is not easy. They will send you email to get pay from an email you can not reply to. This is the notice on the bottom of the email you receive, ** This message is sent from an unmonitored account. Please do not reply to it. ** If I was Safetech, I would use an email you can actually reply to ... You only have 2 options, send them a check or write your credit card number on the invoice and send it to them, not really secure from my point or view. FYI, you can now use Internet to pay any bill but Safetech lack this option. The option offer would be good if we were in 1980 to late 1990 ... I finally switch to another company and it's easy to pay them. If you can pay them with any other method, this is not something they share when they provide you with the invoice.

Everyone who has given 5 stars seems to be a current customer. I most likely would have given 5 stars if we were still a customer. The service ends when you try to cancel.
We were with safetech for 5 years. We sold our home as we moved to a different city. We purchased a house requiring renovations and moved into a rental.
My wife initially tried to cancel our contract by calling. She spoke to a gentleman and informed them of the situation. This was the first time that they asked us for the new owners information!!! Naturally we did not feel comfortable with this and declined. He then informed my wife he could not help her and transferred her to someone's voicemail to which she left a message.
After receiving no response I also tried calling them. There was no awnser. I then sent an enquiry through thier website contact form. My wife then tried calling again spoke with Sharon. We were told to email her, which my we did.
The next day we were informed that Sharon was on matt leave, WTF!!! We were told our email was forwarded to Malik in customer service. There was also someone named Sean cc'd on the email.
10 days later, after hearing nothing from Safetech we started calling again and spoke with Nadia. We emailed Nadia while we were on the phone with her, and she assured us it would be cancelled.
The next day, Nadia emailed us back and again asked for the new owners information!!! They then told us we apparently had a 60 day cancellation and that they would accept our email as 60 days notice. We requested a copy of the contract and informed we initially contacted them on July 19th and it was now August 1st.
We recieved a copy of our "contract" which was unsigned. At this point, they requested us to secure the new owners and offered to waive our cancellation. We requested a version with signatures, and informed them that even if they were entitled to 60 days notice, they would still owe us money back as we paid on a quarterly basis.
On August 15th, we were finally informed that it would goto the accounting department for review. They told us they had a scanned copy of the contract, to which they sent the unsigned version again.
In regards to an auto renewing contract, anyone who who has delt with these in court knows that most judges will toss these out after two terms. A renewal clause is not a substitute for customer service, which clearly Safetech is lacking. If it was a higher value contract, it would be something worth fighting just for fun.
We were with Safetech for over 5 years, and we most likely would have contacted them for our new home. But after this nightmare, never again!

Safe Tech Alarms has provided my Home Security for my last 4 residences. Professional installation services, tremendous Customer Service...Sharon and Reem...and probably most important...accessible Technical Support...who walk you through any questions you have with the system and finally after installation Product Support...I had a wireless connection acting up and they were back to correct the issue immediately.
