Nothing to do but swim or golf. Not close to shopping.
They have their booking number misrepresented as their own, when its a third party. They then charge your card and lose your reservation and say it wasnt them who charged your card.
Its a bit poor that they close the pool bar for private functions and there is no alternative for guests. Ice machine on our floor did not work.
I haven't stayed at the resort, but I have played golf at this course a few times. It has blind tee shots, rolling fairways and pretty decent greens; all for a reasonable price even in the winter time. The views are also amazing. Worth checking out.
This place is incredible, everything in this place amazed me with every single drtail, the pools and fabulous, the restaurant has a best kind of food ever, they have the best suites ever, vey big and very quiet, i LOVED IT SO MUCH
Upon arrival, pulling up near the lobby, the doorman didnt even politely greet us or offer us assistance. He just rudely said move your car. The front desk promised they'd put mom close to us but it wasn't. Called back to see if they had anything close to us and this perosn was great and said they had her identical room 3 doors down. Why the first person didnt do this I have no idea. Would have save us a lot of time. The rooms are a drab, pool is missing tiles and the seats and surfaces in pool are very rough. We stay in a ton of hotel and this one is just sub par. The bathroom in the large suite we rented didnt have a nice shower like every other suite we've stayed in, tiny balcony but the views were gorgeous and there were many pretty sites around the hotel. Hotel is on a cliff so vans drive you anywhere you need to go because it is very steep. The waiter at the pool was very attentive and some of the staff was excellent. My husband asked fpr a call from the manager and never recieved it. The very next day i started checking around for a different resort. For the price and type of hotel it just needs a lot of work. Roof tiles are missing. Bedrooms doors are cheap, dont close properly and squeak loudly. Fixtures are cheap. Stained glass window in shower has cracks in it. Beds were fine. I'd never stay here again though.
Beautiful campus with a spectacular view of Phoenix!
AC broken and they didn't send a maintenance worker like they said they would. Finally got a new room with no parking anywhere to be found. Too many buildings, not enough parking.
Very large and well-kept hotel. It is located on the hill overlooking the city. Slightly out of town and you need a car to get around. Large room, small bathroom, and the same tub.
Large comfortable beds. Efficient air conditioners and large TV.
Recommended.
Great services and great rooms, eight amazing pools.
I stayed at the hilton resort with my wife and 3 kids may 4th 2018 to the 6th in Phoenix az. We had some many problems with the resort. The first day we were there the carpet was wet ...the bathtub faucet was broken. The mini fridge is fully stocked and it's a hassle to take out the drink to put in our food and drinks. The biggest problem was that the kids bed had bed bugs and they both have multiple bites. I took pictures as well. I do not RECOMMEND staying at this resort. Management is aware and conducting a thorough investigation
Nice resort located in a not-so-nice part of town. Just don't leave the resort and you'll be fine! Haha.
Great stay. Room was nice, staff was friendly and helpful. Hiking trails were a lot of fun. Steep hills on the resort, but there is a shuttle if your room is far away from amenities.
Nice, upscale hotel in north Phoenix. Parking can be a little tight.
Ate at The View and loved it! Certainly one of the most scenic overlooks in the whole valley with an excellent menu.
A little older but room was nice and up to date. Overall property was really good. We would have no issues coming back. I edited this because I forgot to mention the best part was we left a couple of items drying on the railing on the deck and they contacted us and asked if we wanted them shipped back! Awesome customer service!!
Great location that is beautifully maintained! We stopped by for brunch at the Pointe in Tyme restaurant on New Year's Day. The restaurant was cozy, excellent and tasty food options, great service, and the prices were reasonable.
So disappointed for my daughter. Her first experience on her own and decided to go on a staycation. She might as well went out of town, it was still so expensive!! When she arrived they surprised her with a $150 deposit. Then $38 dollars a day was taken out of that for resort fee, which was not told to her. They said they put it on the information she got...how small was the print? They should have made sure they told her that in the first place. Also the parking was ridiculous and the employee told her how to get to her room was the long way! She was walking around for a long time and could have parked right by her room. And when I called, they didn't even care if she was not satisfied...so sad. I didn't feel very important to them. The only good thing about the stay was the "learning curve" and what to look out for in the future, especially from these high-end placed. You get what you pay for is not the case here...paid too much!!!
This is a great property. The place is clean. The food is great and the employees are excellent in their approach and services. Especially, the shuttle bus drivers who fare guests to and from the events parking lot.
Strong fish smell permeated as we walked in. I mention as I had the beef. It was good. Waiter was great, knowledgable about menu. Kitchen slow. Waited nearly an hour for entree. Got there for sunset.
Excellent experience in their restaurant. Great food mixed in with a breathtaking view of the valley. We ate a delicious three course meal sitting at a table by the window. Any time you look up, you see a shimmering desert oasis light up the night. After we finished our meal inside, we moved to patio outside for coffee and dessert. A cool breeze brushes over you while having great conversations and mouth watering Creme Brule. A most excellent experience that makes me look forward to doing it again.
Attended social even at the restaurant there. Great food and wonderful atmosphere. It was a wonderful evening.
Hotel check-in was great and easy however all good service ended there. Poolside service at The Falls was non existent even though the wait staff was walking around. You had to get up and wait at the bar for very simple things. All suites just went thru a multi million dollar renovation but the quality in the rooms was not up to par. Examples in my room include the new carpet not going all the way to wall or the tub not draining from shower to shower. Each guest would have to wait significant time just for it to drain. Security didn't do much for people have parties at the pools in the middle of the night either.
So I've visited every year for 4 years. Each trip to the Pointe Hilton is better than the prior. The service is fantastic, views are great, pools are relaxing and fun. I visit locations all over the US and this is our favorite. If you are looking for relaxation, this is the place.
I stayed last night. I booked a room on Priceline. Paid the Priceline deposit. Then find out they charge a $75 fee fine ok. Then she also says there s a $22 resort fee and doesn t explain what it s for. All I know is I don t get it back I find out later from my group of friends I was with. Then after everything the hot tubs were maybe Luke warm at best. Finally go in for the night and the tv won t even keep a good picture on the tv and that if the screen doesn t just stay black. I just expected more. Everyone said it was nice just wished everything would ve been explained by the receptionist and if what I m paying for actually works. Next time I ll look elsewhere.
I purchased the Spa and Stay package which was very misleading. It indicated that this included a spa treatment for each adult. What it actually means is, you are provided a $90 voucher for each adult. I also believe an 80 minute massage for $170 would be reasonable if the spa had an actual "spa". No locker room, no jacuzzi, no showers, no sauna. A pretty nice hallway to walk through before you change clothing in your massage room. There are so many more resort "spa's" in the valley. Will NOT be choosing this one again.
Love this courses driving range. Love this courses management. If you want to hit balls in one of, if not the most relaxing atmospheres, with mountains surrounding, then this is the place! Make sure to ask for Mr.Hopper in the pro shop. Will take great care of you!!
Great rooms, room service dinner was outstanding! Had the cumin rubbed pork tenderloin and wedge salad and it rivaled any Ritz-Carlton or high end hotel I have been to. Walking can be a struggle because the whole place sits on a mountain side. Beautiful views.
The view is beautiful and everything is really clean. The staff here is excellent. Fantastic food, lots of pools, and easy access to hiking. There is free shuttle service to get you around to the resort amenities, and the food has been fantastic.
I do have my two and a half year old with me. The rooms are not remotely kid-safe as the only way to lock the door so he can t escape is with the latch, and that allows a gap large enough for him to smash his fingers in the door. He also keeps getting in to the mini bar because it s got candy stocked in it as well as his milk (he s not going for the tanquery). You can have a minibar attendant remove the items, but that s $25, which seems a bit crazy. Because of the terrain, it s difficult to navigate a stroller around here, so we have been relying on the shuttle service more than I d like to, but they re always great, fast, and full of information. There also isn t anything to do near the resort other than hiking, so if you re wanting to get out and explore Phoenix, this isn t a good Home base.
We are loving the pools though. There are nine of them, including a water park. Earlier we relaxed at the pool build into the side of the cliff with spectacular views.
Gosh I had my mini Vacation and it was fantastic staff was extremely nice and helpful
Save your $$ during the Monsoon Season if you are wanting to use the Water Park. Park was unexpectedly shut down when the wind kicked up and not reopened when passed. Basically paid $360 for and over priced room, never again.
It was decent. I expected a lil more from them based on description but over all, turned out to be a decent place. Enjoyable for the family. Conveniently located so there is plenty of nearby activities.
All I can say is WOW! Christmas buffet was just fantastic!
Spectacular views, resort is clean and huge. The staff are phenomenal and go out of their way to assist. So many pools, loved the adult pool! We had a king suite, two couches kitchen table for 6 fridge microwave mini bar two bathrooms of course the balcony, rooms were spacious, a bit dated, but the beds were soft and slept well. coffee bar in lobby, easy to get around town, Overall well needed getaway proved to be fantastic!
I wanted to surprise my husband on our 30th anniversary with a stay at the Pointe since we had stayed there on our wedding night. I called the Pointe directly to make the reservation. I explained what I was doing and requested the same kind of room we had on our wedding night. "Sure no problem, it will be $95." I thought considering it was a summer rate, it was perfect. We get there and they had given us a room right by the family pool, it was LOUD! It wasn't the room I had described to the front desk so my husband went and spoke with the front desk. "Oh, I'm so sorry, we can upgrade you to that room for no charge." Great. We decided to go to the adult pool where it clearly states "No one under 21." There were 3 families with kids clearly under 21 present. The security guard did come after an employee tried to get them to leave. They finally left. Thank you to those employees! When we left the next morning we noticed there were trash cans (multiple ones) filled and overflowing with swarms of bees around them. My husband went to check us out and our $95 room was now $238! This included $75 for room upgrade, $39 for resort fee (which we had not been informed of prior) and 3 separate taxes!! I emailed the resort and they never responded. Such a disappointment. Will never go there again.
It was a nice visit at the pool. Pool area was clean and well kempt.
It is a great place for families and couples. The employees are very friendly and helpful.
Was on vacation & stayed here for a few nights. Place was extremely hard to find! Hotel is pretty! Parking is horrible! Scenery is beautiful! Lots of pools here & places to dine.
Great golf course! Challenging and beautiful. During the winter this is a must go to place. Great bar & restaurant. Very delicious food and a nice variety offerings in their menu.
Awesome rooms, incredible views, and the customer service is outstanding! I'll definitely be back!
This restaurant deserves a 5-star rating simply because they "Aim to please!"
Our party of 5 had many reasons to celebrate that night after coming through a tumultuous year end, we were just glad we survived to embrace 2019. So the Pointe was a great place to start.
The chef at this location is so gracious and kind that he allows us to order 'off' the menu and created the most scrumptious Shrimp and Grits, the top sirloin and the Lamb Shank were extraordinary. These dishes were so smooth, tasty and appealing that this restaurant is now one of our staples.
The management was extremely brilliant in its care of its patrons. The ambience was appealing and I wish our visit could have been a bit longer - but isn't that with everything when its found to be impeccable. Thanks Pointe!
absolutely stunning wonderful services exceptionally priced
The place is a joke, over priced and out of the way from everything
All encompassing. Spread out, but pricey for what you get.
Very dissapointed with this property! We booked 5 rooms for father's day. We took the shuttle back from the falls pool and my son in law was getting in the van with my granddaughter in his arms and the van took off with the door open. My daughter yelled for the driver to stop, but he refused and left them behind. They could of been hurt. They did their own "investigation" and found no fault on their part. Also on this stay we were charged for food and drinks that did not belong to us, we were reimbursed but I do recommend to check your receipts when checking out.
Another stay we went to the falls pool and the snack bar closed @630 when their pamphlet says 8. The whole reason for us staying at the resort was for the pool and enjoying drinks poolside. Our room was dirty, the table had crumbs and had water rings where drinks had spilled. There was a beer cap on the floor the washcloth in the shower was wet and the shampoo was used. We had to call twice for someone to come clean it. The ac wasn't working and we had to call for someone to check it. Maintenance came and he reset the power and told us to wait 45 minutes to see if it worked. it didnt, we ended up having to switch rooms @130 am. Was not a relaxing stay.
Today one of my other daughters asked for me to book a room for her. I reserved it for her and I called to see what I need to do as far as a credit card verification form. I was told everything was fine that she could check in. Well when she got there they made her pay with her card after I was told that she was fine using the card on file. We were given three different explanations: First was that everything was fine that she could check in with our card on file, then it was that she could of used our credit card if she took it with her, then it was that we would physically need to be there in order to use I card. We wouldn't of had a problem of going to go check her in if we were told from the beginning we needed to do that.
There isn't any constancy within this resort and all we get are "we are sorry"
well that doesn't cut it anymore. Changes need to be made. We travel all over the place and this is the one resort I would not recommend to anyone. Beyond frustrated!
The room was nice and clean. The views were very nice as well.
Accommodations, food and Phoenix weather were wonderful. Great place to watch the Super Bowl.
Nice hotel and location but not the best value for what you get.
Everything about this Hotel was so wonderful. After leaving another resort and booking this one last minute I was so impressed. This Hotel made my birthday weekend special and my boyfriend and I really enjoyed ourselves. The only problem was we booked a king bed and we got two queens. But this hotel fixes their mistakes and they did switch us rooms so we had a king. The two bell hops John and (can't remember his name) were so fantastic and friendly. They made sure that we had everything we needed and were talkative. Once we settled in we took a walk around the property and it is so beautiful. They have like 6 pools so most of the time you could find one and be alone or with few people there. I really enjoyed the Hidden Valley pool as it was quiet most of the time and the adults only pool that was 21+. Everyone was so friendly and nice asking if they could do anything for you. They had shuttles you could take from one part of the hotel to the other so you didn't need to walk everywhere. I really enjoyed myself and I definitely will be going back.
Overall great stay. Rooms are not greatly insulated for sound. Noisy neighbors made it difficult to sleep most nights. Hotel meals and food were excellent! All staff was friendly, courteous and very helpful.
Beautiful resort campus. The rooms were big and the service was excellent. It is in a great location and right next to hiking trails you can walk to.
Ok resort
A bit dated. Parking is crowded. Nothing is level or flat. Steep inclines. Not suitable fir persons with physical disability.
Pool area is nice, but nothing extraordinary.
Best views in Phoenix for a meal unless you plan on bringing your pork belly appetizer, perfect short ribs, and creme brulee on your hike to the top of Camelback. Service is great too!
Excellent!! Place and employees.. always willing to help..
It's a nice hotel. But spread out with confusing parking
Great resort went on a buddy's trip to play golf was awesome
The hotel is tucked up in the mountains. It's just lovely
It was great. Hot girls roam the streets constantly and the liquor flows plenty.
I'm honestly not the type of person to write reviews but this mad me furious, my husband and i being newlyweds book a 2night stay at this hotel and while making reservations we were told an amount over the phone. When we checked out i saw in my bank account a completly different amount being taken out i called to get clarification and they told me i was charged for some spa fees noone explain about so not only did we not experience the ammentites due to their miss communication but was charged for something we didnt even use...didnt even offer to make it right, not like i would go back but they lack receptionist communication.
Love it...beautiful setting great decor comfy beds and great view. On the downside I feel like it should have a refrigerator inside your room and a little microwave at least that way you are able to heat up food and refrigerate drinks other than that my stay was amazing I would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again
Friendly staff, nice rooms and resort. Food is pricey though.
The resort is nice but the room was gross. Leftover items from the previous guest, the bathtub was old and a plastic dirty tub mat was put down, hair all over the bathtub, there was ankle deep standing water at the end of a shower, stains on the pillows, down comforter is covered by two sheets and could see stains on the comforter. (You'd think a Hilton could afford a duvet cover ). Yuck! I've stayed at Super 8 that were cleaner. Couldn't wait to get home.
I want to personally thank Teshia and the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort management staff for their courtesy. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to cancel our trip at the last minute, but our debit card was charged. The staff was very understanding and voided our reservation. Our family is very grateful! Thank you very much! When we have the opportunity to return to the are, we will be staying here!
Staff was friendly and very accommodating to every need!
4 Stars but... Should give a 3 1/2 because the resort needs much maintenance. The staff was great! Very friendly and always offered to help. We had to change rooms though as the first had an air conditioning unit that made a constant loud humming noise, and many other small things in the room needed maintenance. The resort has many pools and they were not overcrowded which was nice! Overall a nice place to stay but the whole property needs an overhaul.
