The rooms were clean, you're really paying for the pools which are nicer than your average. The free shuttle system wasn't very useful because it took a while for someone to come. It was also hard to take advantage of the resort fee amenities since mostly everything needs to be reserved ahead of time. king suite is a great size.

I am a local and often visit the sister hotel and thought I'd give this one a shot. Rates are much cheaper in the summer because who is crazy enough to visit Phoenix this time time of year?

Overall, I happy pretty darn happy with my stay. The place feels more like a close community rather than a hotel. Check in was a breeze and staff was friendly. (Special mention to valet: Dick and Steph). Bed and living room furniture; all comfy.

This location has wonderful choices for dining. I had a wonderful breakfast buffet at Pointe in Tyme. I didn't try any other spot other than the bar at the 21+pool.

Pools aplenty and a water slide. 21 and over pool was nice since many locals come here with their families during the summer.

The only reason I rated 4 stars instead of 5 is I had to call front desk to have a banshee screaming pocket door fixed and there was a low mysterious rumble all night and I couldn't fall asleep for quite a while.

Rooms were nice...but that was probably the best part of our stay. Took kids for the weekend this summer and the waterpark pools were murky. We had to find a stick to keep our umbrella open for shade as it was broken. Front desk upon check-in wrote the wrong room number which took us 30min in the heat (115) with kids until we found a security guy who resolved. He was great by the way and we appreciated him. We will likely not return here as there are many resorts around that are better to spend your money at.

This started off as a rough day for hilton. Went online to book a stay and the system was down. Spent 30 minutes on the phone booking a room only to show up and have our first hotel sold out and the reservation lost. Pulled up at the tapario cliffs to be met by the rudest bellman I have ever experienced. His name is Dick and I found it very fitting. Was met by a lobby full of guests trying to check in with only two people checking people in. Asked to have a manager contact me. It is three days later and still no call. This is how they treat a diamond hhonors members I shudder to consider how they treat others. Also the room divider door doesn't fit well and we could hear every conversation in the next room and they could hear our baby so we went overboard trying to keep quiet so as not to Ruin their stay.

Good location with clean & spacious rooms. Staff were very friendly. There are lots of pools available throughout the complex (although I noted that they need a bit of maintenance/cleaning as it seemed the staff couldn't keep up with the leaves). There were some other small maintenance problems like porch lights being out, etc. But overall we were very happy with this hotel.

Also, I wasn't particularly impressed with the breakfast at the Point in Thyme. The Different Point of View restaurant was excellent though.

Stayed here very recently for a quick staycation and man was I disappointed. Checked into the room, saw a cockroach run under the baseboard of the room area. Then my son goes to unfold the fold out couch and there's blood spatter on the pillow and blankets. Absolutely unacceptable. Housekeeping came to change the sheets after a 2nd follow up call. Not sure what's going on but it used to be an excellent time. Not this time around.

Update *** So I emailed the property, and apparently their way of "making it right" was apologizing for their housekeeping's response. Hmm, I'm still out the money I spent for a less than acceptable experience. Unfortunate.

Excellent service and clean well-done rooms. This place is huge but call and a van or golf cart arrives in minutes to transport you. Pools are nice and three restaurants on site make it a great place to spend a week! Lots of great walking spaces and amazing views of the city and lots of shopping nearby. A quick 14 miles from the airport was easily done with Lyft service for about $25 one way.

If I could put no stars I would. The rooms are not worth the price and if you forget anything in your room during checkout your S.O.L. Left some personal belongings on accident but noticed that very same day. Called and were told our items were nowhere to be found. So either someone in the staff took them or they just threw away our things. For me it's more about the principle - WHERE DID MY ITEMS GO HILTON? Also the cleanliness of the towels was not great. Went to use one provided in my room and found stains on it...gross.

Stay somewhere else non-Hilton related.

My review went from 5 stars to 1 because some Genius decided to get new pool chaise lounges and opted for the cheap ones with no cushions or arm rest. The adult pool was the main reason to come to this hotel and now the experience feels like a motel 6! The resort desperately needs to be updated. The pool tiles are falling off, the bar is never open anymore. Literally in the last year I have watched this hotel just go down hill. So please Hilton bring back the comfy chairs or else I will never stay here again.

Very nice Hilton brand, our room was nicely updated room with a sitting room. Pool area is nice but could be updated. The hotel restaurant at the top of the hill has a phenomenal location that allows a panoramic view of downtown Phoenix a must for a sunset cocktail. Overall location is good but you need a car to get around.

All I can say is what a view, fantastic grounds that are well kept. Wish I could have played some golf. The work staff was polite and energetic. A place I would love to visit and stay again. Also very kid friendly.

Signature room was large and two bathrooms on second level. Restaurant was tasty. Poops are great for the kids. Parking is a nightmare. Bring you smallest car to navigate around. Very full in July. Decent location.

It felt secluded but was actually close to restaurants and shopping. Even though it's a family resort, I liked that they had an adults only pool. Parking was difficult on the weekends because of the waterpark. Overall would definitely recommend checking this place out!

Spending Thanksgiving as we visit my dad, and thoroughly enjoying ourselves! Beautiful setting, with GREAT walking trails, horseback riding and more! Good restaurants; very comfortable rooms.

I bought a Groupon for my husband this Fathers day to stay at this resort. When I was asking the operator some questions regarding check-in with the Groupon she said "we have nothing to do with Groupon and said I needed to call Groupon with any questions that I had". At this point I thought I got scammed by Groupon.. I started asking something else and she hung up on me! When I called back I said sorry I think we got disconnected - she hung up again! I'm blown away and I'm considering canceling my trip. Motel 6 treats their customers better. When I called back for the 3rd time the reservations girl was able to help answer my questions right away and apologized for the rude operator. I then of course got a follow up call from the manager apologizing, which was nice, but I still feel so awkward even going at this point.

Attended an awards banquet there. Was an amazingly beautiful table set up. Very classy. Staff did not keep you wanting for anything. They were on their toes the whole time. The salmon was amazing. The vegetable lasagna Was good too. However, the chicken was somewhat Bland and was dark meat... I would think that you would serve chicken breasts instead. Also, I am not a fan of cornmeal so I did not enjoy the polenta... I had no idea what it was. The cake for dessert was also just marginal. Overall, though, I would highly recommend this place for a banquet / dinner. Just be choosey about what you order. Very upscale and pricey... Over $10 for a glass of wine and over $50 a person for dinner.

Great place to bring the family. Beautiful views and great customer service in the whole place. All the way from the time you walk into the Front desk till you check out! Don t ever leave anything on your patio though. Our neighbors stole everything off it at night while we were sleeping. Including my boom box! Karma will get them!

Worst customer service!!!!!! And parking!!!!! This was our first and last time staying at this resort. We normally go to A VERY similar resort and have never had these issues. We are here for a friend s birthday. We decided to park near the pool which was not even near the pool. She rented a cabana and we went swimming. When we were done we went to check in. We go to check in and the man said we did not have a reservation. I showed him our confirmation email and he just said we had to talk to Priceline and did not offer any other type of assistance. I then asked him if there was another room we could just book on our own, he said they were completely booked. So my family and are I are in the lobby wet cold and upset because we have no room. I began to call Priceline who we booked our room through, they were trying to figure it out. So after 30-45 minutes later we get our room. No sorry no anything. We go get some dinner before heading to our room. The map is very confusing the hotel it s self is very confusing and difficult to navigate. There was NO parking!!!!!!!!!! We had to park allllll they way by the lobby no where near our room no exaggeration! So we had to call a shuttle to take us to our room! Carry all of our stuff from here to there!!! Finally we get to our room with our cold dinner! The room was actually decent. Can t wait to see what check out holds in store!

Honestly, I was expecting more.

Honestly, I was expecting more.

Several waitresses that we had in the Pointe In Tyme were rude, specifically William and Deborah. Another tall male waiter misinformed informed us that the breakfast buffet was open late on Sundays, much to our disappointment and you showed up on Sunday for brunch and it was closed.

Housekeeping routinely didn't show up to our room until after 4 p.m., when they are already back from our day activities. One evening I had to call and request that they clean our rooms because it seemed that they had just forgotten about us. When we requested that the housekeeper fully clean instead of just coming in and dumping the trash, she got short with me and obviously couldn't understand what I was saying.

The first night we got here we were having issues connecting our phones to the Wi-Fi. We called the front desk and within five minutes somebody strolled up on a golf cart, came in and basically told us it was our fault because our phones or the problem. We promptly told him to get out of our room, call the front desk, complained and ask for somebody else to come fix the problem for us. This very nice man was able to fix our internet immediately.

We also had an issue with the safe being locked when we arrived. Brenda from security was awesome at fixing this for us.

Was invited by family to come and enjoy the pool with my wife for Mother's Day, however, we were VERY disappointed! So my family complained to Mgmt that the Hot Tub was not hot only luke warm and there were no jets?!? So the young man from Mgmt tells us that they are 'Conversation Tubs' WTH?!?! So u mean to tell me that this hotel is charging guests to come conversate in luke warm water?!?! That's just rude! Pls inform on Groupon. Sincerely, Thnx but No THNX!

Rooms small and musty smelling so I complain. They have a shuttle, I was told. I called and they said be there in a minute. 15 minutes later, no shuttle. I will never stay at another Hilton again. Customer service is nonexistent at this location. Do yourself a favor and find a Marriot branded hotel

Traveled from Tucson and stayed for one night after a company dinner. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable and got a crummy night's sleep as a result. Room was just ok, nothing exceptional. But they were clean and well maintained. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, thus the three stars. Probably wouldn't stay here again if in the area. Didn't stay long enough to enjoy the other amenities... pool, spa, 1 hr golf practice, water groto, etc., so I can't critique those. Was not a big fan of the 4:00 check in. Hotels seem to be making them later and later.

My husband and I like to try out resorts in the area and get a way from the kids for a night. We stayed here last night and was very very disappointed. We paid for an extra night so we could check in early Saturday morning. Upon checking in, the man at the desk was friendly. He gave us a map of the resort and wrist bands for entry into the water park . We made our way to our room. The parking is awful, very limited but that s expected at a resort. After checking our room, which was basically a normal hotel room, we were highly disappointed. The balcony was not very safe and our shower faucet was falling off the wall.
The hotel offers transport to areas around the resort. We called and were told someone would be on their way. After over 30 minutes of waiting we just walked. We arrived at the water park and was highly disappointed. You can t bring water if any sort in to it, which is insane in 112 degree weather.. but you can of course buy it at the bar for extra money... the pools were instantly crowded so we grabbed a drink at the family bar and walked to an adult only pool. Once getting to the adult pool we were not allowed to bring our drink in and had to drink it and dispose of it before entering the area even tho there is a bar at the adult pool. The bar at this pool had a very poor selection.
The pools at the resort are very run down. Missing large chunks of concrete. Dirty and full of clumps is hair..
Later that night after dinner we decided to walk down to the pool and have a drink.. at 7pm all bars except the family pool bar are closed! When we went to the front desk to double check they couldn t even give us an exact time of restaurants and bars that closed. They just said oh it s closed? Maybe try the other bar ...

We ordered ice cream vid room service and while it states the prices it does not state the room service delivery fee, service fee or that they tack on 20 percent gratuity. When confronted about charges we were told that it states them on the receipt. Obviously it does but who wants to be blind sighted with extra fees.

The hotel claims that they will make it right when unsatisfied but all I received was excuses after excuses.
We will not be back again. All the hotel cares about is getting money not about their customers.

Very luxurious dining with an amazing view of nature and the city, and delicious food would be an understatement. Totally earned its AAA four diamond status. The staff made us feel very pampered and were also memorable for their friendly and attentive service. Snobbish it was not, just luxurious. One of the very best meals I ever had. The pork tenderloin was wonderful. Being Arizona, the dress code is not extreme. A clean polo shirt and slacks or a nice dress, to a suit and tie or evening gown, would all fit in. The negatives: the price is in line with what you would expect for that quality, and the extensive wine list includes a lot of choices that could really surprise a budget even by the glass if you don't know what you are ordering. Ask for suggestions and let them know your price range if you have one. The wine steward will not look down on you for it. And if you are afraid of mountain roads there is a steep and winding (but short and not at all remote) one going up between buildings of the Pointe Hilton resort to get to and from the restaurant. Personally I find that a fun plus but not all my guests feel the same way so it's worth a warning to the acrophobic. Highly recommended.
