Unfortunately our stay was unsatisfactory. The first night I found a bug in my bed. I let it slide as I knew we were in the desert and the maids came to clean the next day. After a few nights our room got up to the high 80s and our air conditioning broke. It was 9:30pm before they got us transferred into a new room. As my boyfriend had to be up early in the morning for a conference it was an inconvenience. Luckily, Tommy was extremely kind and did all he could in his power to fix the situation for us so we don t blame him at all. He offered us a $50 voucher for the inconvenience but the hotel however did not honor that voucher. This was very frustrating. On top of that they had no options for ya food wise, so if you re looking for healthy options/are vegan this is not the place for you. They were unwilling to accommodate to us and as we were so far from restaurants and grocery stores it was extremely frustrating. While the views are great, everything else was far below average and we will not be staying at this resort ever again. I recommend the Saguaro in Scottsdale!

Pointe Hilton was a very nice resort from the get go. The location was good and the variety of activities at and around the resort were great. The room was also conveniently located close to our car which made going out to do things much easier. The room itself was very nice and had a separate room to watch TV in case some people wanted to sleep. The washroom was clean and very nice to use. The balcony, however, was not the greatest but we didn't use it due to the heat in the area. The only "complaint" I would have is that the food in the resort was on the more expensive side so we tended to eat out. Overall, my experience was great and I will consider going back to Pointe Hilton again.

Nice couples getaway! The suite was nice, clean and well decorated, friendly staff, amazing views and pools in different areas to enjoy. We visit two restaurants the cafe inside the water fall villages and the point of time and in both of them the personal was amazingly friendly and welcoming. Our dinner at The point of time restaurant was very good and again the service awesome.

One star is too generous for this resort! This was the worst decision of the summer. Sadly, I brought my whole family to suffer the tragedy of having to stay here over the weekend. As a #hiltonhonors member, I am sorely disappointed to associate this resort with the Hilton resort chain. There are a myriad of things that went wrong. First, of all be prepared to be treated as a second class citizen upon check in if you book a room through a third party vendor like priceline or hotels.com. Hotel amenities will be limited because their ice machines, elevators, refrigerators and showers are sub-par or not in service. You will be forced to cart supplies around because surprise they will search your bags poolside to ensure you are only paying their inflated food and drink prices. Even sparkling water is offensive to their exclusive monopoly. Can I list one good thing? Sure they stock an extra roll of toilet paper. The fact of the matter is when you're running a multi-million dollar resort, associated with a top hotel chain, your customer service should be stellar, your rooms shouldn't be outdated and sub-functional, your facility should be in complete working condition and you really should do more to rectify a situation that's gone completely wrong and going to cost you a customer for life.

Reserved on priceline and ended up with a wheelchair accessible room. For the money it was worth the stay, the room was large but lacked a tub to give our son a bath in. Older style with some updates throughout the years. While I was not able to enjoy the pools while I was there due to business meetings, they had several and all looked very well kept. I greatly enjoyed the Starbucks Coffee shop in the lobby every morning and wish I would have had to to try their restaurant. I would love to come back again when I can enjoy their golf course and hike some of the nearby trails. One negative was that the wash sink was in the main bedroom which made it difficult to get ready at 6 am every morning without waking my wife... wish this was located In the bathroom however their may be restrictions due to the type of room it was.

It's very nice. The offer a microwave if you are on a longer stay. Very convenient. Comfortable beds. Nice staff! I would have to say, adult pool bar & grill should stay open till at least 11pm. Everything shuts down at 9 & 10pm, which seems at bit early on the weekends if folks are looking to sit back & enjoy a few drinks or snacks poolside. Other than that, great!

My Niece was Married at the resort, It was a beautiful wedding and Reception. The food was good and the wait staff was top notch!!. My niece was able to save a block of rooms for the guest at a discounted rate.
My mother who was traveling with me became ill and was hospitalized. When she was released the staff was very sweet and accommodating, the shuttle service gentlemen were on the ball and saw that her every need was met.
The rooms were not nice, they were clean but we have had nicer rooms at a much less price at Holiday Inn Express. Amerihost, and Residents Inn and suites. The bathrooms are very cramped but if you fall of the toilet at least you will be in the tub instead of the floor. and if someone opens the door you will lose your knee caps.
They also charge for internet. But I was at the hospital the entire stay so I did my work there. I wasn't paying $29 a day.
I don't know anything about the pools and entertainment because I wasn't there. I did eat at one restaurant and the food was good.
All in all It's an ok place, but not if you have to stay in the room.
Pay attention! They add an automatic gratuity. Which I hate!! I am a very good tipper and they don't now how well I think they did! In my case they cheated themselves out of some money.

Very large property, with several pools. My room was definitely nice. It is a suite hotel so you will have a separate room with a pull out couch. The restaurant at the top of the property is a must even if u do not eat dinner there go for a drink and the view. Just wish this hotel had more then one casual spot to eat the food was not the best. Just my opinion but Hilton please paint the outside of this hotel a different color lol

The television didn't work one of the outlets didn't work there was dust everywhere the hair dryer didn't work there was no hot water and the Diamondbacks game was not televised in the room. We will not be returning nor will we recommend your Resort

Ok so it's a decent hotel resort we got the cheapest rooms their maybe that's why but the bed blocks the door way I wasnt able to fit my babies pack n play we had to lift if up over the bed to get it in the bedroom portion which was hard staying at a hotel it supposed to be a nice experience but the way everything is situated if awful the living room portion is fine but the bugs kept getting in and roaches idk how roaches got to the 5th floor but there were roaches. The rest of the resort is fine the pool and restaurant and coffee place but I wouldn't stay their with babies

When you pay up front for your room you are not charged the resort stay. When you arrive you are told, oh we need $300 for I incidentals. Then the $39 per day is taken out of that. This would have been nice to know. Also, your maintenance and landscaping leaves a lot to be desired. The trash can near our room was piled six feet high. The pool by building 26 is always a mess and usually no towels. The air filter in our room looked as if it had never been changed. It was BS. Oh and no parking if you return to your room after 7:00. Be prepared to walk uphill a lot.

This place is fantastic! There is no substitute for the mountain terrain and the food is superb all over the resort. I enjoyed the large room with good views and the golf course is a classic desert track. Dinner at the restaurant at the top of the mountain (Different Pointe of View) is a necessity with a great sunset. I will definitely be going back to this place.

We went there for our anniversary dinner, i will try to line up item by item from our perspective.
1) reservation;i made reservation 3 weeks ahead explained the reason of our visit etc. Also told them we want to get a view sided table etc. The lady told me if i can come 30 minutes before than my reservation time, that would be certain. So we did, we checked in and hang in cafeteria down stairs but unfortunately the table we sat was not we expected, and the lady who have us seat seem pretty lost.
2) food, my wife had high expectations on the food but that was a bummer for her end. She ordered lobster bisque which made without lobster, no lobster in it no taste of lobster , taste like one of these russian potato soups. I ordered carpaccio, it was okay, nothing special with it not bad too.
We ordered chicken entrees and mine was undercook. Also entire plate combine was not very tasty, that sweet potato puree with chicken is not the greatest match.
Overall i can say dont expect too much from food.
3) ambient: gorgeous view, absolutely stromer. Nicely designed windows.but inside restaurant is very dark. Dark in a point of you cant see your plate and your servers explaining you the food via flashlight. It would be done way better with side lighting. We made fun with it a while.
4) desserts: not much of choices, unfortunately poorly done and done incorrectly. Please read the description of the desserts on your menu. A big part of managing a restaurant is trying your own food, i guess manager of this one is in diet. Creme brulee was not only not maching with menu description but also done incorrecly so we served a burnt crust of sugar.
5) pricing, not bad . Its very fair because of view.
We paid 140$ on check and its normal for an anniversary dinner. Yes you can eat tastier food but the thats the entire catch of destination restaurants
Comparing with other two (TOP OF THE ROCK AND COMPASS GRILL) check was normal.
6) service, unfortunately very poor and unclassy. Lots of room for improvement.they can start from ensuring food runners not chewing gum all over your face and top of your food or louder than music playing around
I think would be fair giving 3 out of 5

I'm really annoyed. We called ahead to get rates on cabanas and were offered a much higher rate when we arrived. They wouldnt honor our Hilton points. Wouldn't give us the breakfast that came with our room. Wouldn't let us bring in a snack for our daughter that has allergies. Horrible customer service. Waiter never gave us drinks. Overcharged for a kids meal. Added an adult meal and was very rude when we tried to fix it. Never again.

I love this place! The rooms are spread across the resort in different structures, constructed at the elevation of the variable clips. The resort has an adobe feel to it. Most fun is going all the way up to the bar restaurant at the top of the mountain. Hear the visitor can see for 30 miles to the South, while enjoying dinner and libations around an open pit fire on the outside flagstone deck.
Quite a romantic setting it is a great place to take a first date. The food is good, the prices are reasonable and the views are breathtaking.

My hubby and I went there for a staycation. Let's just say that the room had a lot of minor issues, but the thing that got under my skin the most was our AC didn't get as cold as it should have. The first night we got there we went down to the La Cantina to have dinner and they were closed! Mind you it was 6pm on a Friday night! So Saturday, we go down to the falls to see what it's all about. Well if you have kids, it's the place to go but if you don't and don't want to be around them go to the adult pool. The restaurant food selection wasn't all that great and the food was average. Overall if we go there again it will only be for the adult pool.

This place is so accommodating. Greg, the manager, is one of the most genuine and caring people I've ever delt with, being a customer. The property is always well kept and the staff here gives the Hilton brand a wonderful name and reputation. I highly recommend this place!

This is s great location for families; there are plenty of activities including close hiking trails, pools, basketball and tennis courts. The staff was friendly and helpful with everything we needed. We reserved our room on line and it wasn't ready when we checked in an hour after check in time, but we got a similar room with no problem.

I was at the resort to play golf. The service was very good. The course had an interesting layout, with some challenging holes. The condition of the course wasn't great... particularly the greens.

Hilton properties are always an excellent choice for vacation travel. The Point is one of its best. Located high in the hills of North Phoenix, Arizona it has everything, including a striking city lights panoramic view from the highest point overlooking Phoenix visited by International travelers and residents.l

The resort was much larger than I expected with a lot of steep hills, but the view was great and all of the staff was very accommodating. They responded quickly when requesting a ride up or down the cliffs.

This a good property for the value your paying to be at a resort. The only real gripe is that the hotel is very dated and in need of a modernizing remodel. The location is great and the restaurants are also quite nice.

I was very unhappy with this Hilton. I reserved this hotel through priceline and when checking in they required that my debit or credit card had a chip or else I had to pay a $500 deposit. I've never encountered this in any hotel before and person at front desk was very rude and also claim to be a supervisor and would not let me speak to nobady in charge.

Very nice hotel.

Very nice hotel.
The rooms are very spacious although they may be far from the lobby. There are several pools, the most beautiful is certainly the main one where there are also water games and waterfalls.

Husband took me here for a staycation. I prefer other local resorts over this one but you get what you pay for. Pool service was non existent and pool was crowded. It wasn t terrible just not for me. Maybe I m getting grouchy in my mid forties

Our stay was awesome because of many people. Anastasia was the best server we have met in a long time! We appreciate her love and kindness for our son and prompt service for our drinks. She knows what she is doing and she does it well!! I m really glad we met her!
Management was awesome regarding our room. And Evan was an awesome. Bellman.

Anastasia needs a promotion!!! Great girl! Very professional and a good person.

Thanks, guys. Great staycation. Happy to visit again .

Used this venue for a wedding , wonderful setting food was excellent. The Director of Catering Courtney was outstanding , nothing was to much trouble and she oversaw all aspects of the event . Guests for the wedding who stayed at the Tapatio were more than happy with their accommodation and the service. I would not hesitate to recommend the Point Hilton Tapatio Arizona.

Rooms were very nice and clean. Staff was very nice. My only issues were the mini fridge is FILLED with stuff that you'll obviously incur a charge on your bill if you take. That's fine, but there is no room for any personal stuff like water and you're left shoving stuff aside to fit even a few bottles of water in there. Also, the TVs are very dated. Good experience otherwise.

I was so excited to come back here after a fabulous experience some years back but have been extremely disappointed. I was promised freezer space for my daughter's ice cream birthday cake which I confirmed before my stay and when I got here was told that was not possible. Only after a significant amount of discussion and getting really upset and frustrated a manager compensated me by giving me a room credit. Our phones didn't work in our room. I confirmed my breakfast reservation which I had made two days before check-in and was told that they did not have any reservation under my name... Completely unacceptable...The pool by my room had smokers and when I enquired whether the pools were smoking or non, I was told they were all smoking except for the family pool... In today's day and age, this is a disgrace! I couldn't even relax with my kids at the pool a cross from our room without being subjected to second hand smoke!!! I am not even half way through my stay and I am already so disappointed with this experience, which is so sad as my last weekend getaway here was so wonderful...

It was a nice place. The room was nice. The wi fi was abysmal so not really useful other than searching for a place to eat which your phone can already do without a wi fi connection. The additional charge while checking in was a surprise. Why hotels do this is a mystery to me. I still would have used them if they put that charge up front. It just leaves a bad feeling when they hide it and hit you with it after you have already paid and then arrive at the hotel. If I find a hotel that doesn't pull this stunt, they will get my business from now on.

We have been staying here for two weeks while my husband has business in town. The hotel is older. They are remodeling but we have an old room. They have one nice pool area and I think 6 other regular pools so each area is close to a pool. Every pop machine I tried wasn't working and took my money. You can buy a can pop in the lobby for $2.17. Everything is very over priced here and they won't let you take your own pop into pool area. They confiscated my small bottled Dr. Pepper today on our way into pool area. We had to switch rooms mid-stay because of renovations. That was a total pain. Now I see someone else is in the room we had to leave. Makes no sense. They gave me 3 room options on the first floor as options to move into. I walked down to see which was closest to the pool and walked back (five minutes tops) and all three rooms were gone when I came back. Just as a side note hotel is very slow right now so I dont know how that was even possible, but it happened. All in all its just okay here I've stayed at a lot nicer places. Oh and they charge $15 to rent a microwave. You would think a suit would have one in it. Both rooms have had slow draining tub and the balcony door of second room will barely open.

Still a pretty nice resort for being as old as it is ... I have been there throughout the past 40 years and it's maintained exceptionally . Good place to take the other half for a stay-cation to unwind and undress

Very beautiful hotel lots of great views! We normally stay with family when we're in phx but decided to stay here instead. I was a little worried about some negative reviews i read but our stay was very much enjoyable. Employees were very friendly and nice. Our room was very clean and spacious. We had their room service one night and everything was delicious. The falls had a lot of people the day we went but we found 2 other pools with hardly anyone in them. Had one all to ourselves. Parking is a little hard but they do offer complimentary rides all around the property. We'll definitely come back
