Amazing place to work for, a real family feel I have worked in multiple departments with a variety of leaders. I don't think of this place as a job its my career and most of the time it doesn't even feel like work.

I cringed even giving them one star. This has to be the worst customer service I have ever seen. I installed hurricane proof windows for my whole house. Some of the window panes faded badly. The company will not even return my calls to help find a solution to this problem.

From the previous responses it seems the company has its employees give its only positive references.
The product and customer service are a disaster. Buy from another manufacturer and save yourself major issues.

Still waiting for a call back PGT..........

Great company and products! Products are sold wholesale only, so I understand all issues (installation and legitimate manufacturing ones) would be mostly listed. That said PGT has given a lot to the community, and is very quick to honor warranties.

I cannot tell you how much I love the windows in my sunroom/porch. They were installed a year and a half ago and I had no idea how much more I would use my sunroom/porch now that I have vertical four tracks. My family uses that room nearly every day of the year, no matter the weather. They keep my furniture clean and pollen-free during the spring months, open easily to allow air circulation and act as a source of heat in the sunny colder months. I am only sorry I waited so long to get them! I am a very satisfied customer!

Purchased a home with PGT windows from Toll Brothers. Worst customer service experience and shoddy product. A company with a real lack of integrity issue. Multiple homes in the neighborhood with the same issues. First storm came and the house was in shambles from leaks from the sliders. They denied and denied as the water poured into our new home. Installed the sliders incorrectly several times after. After 2.5 months of not being able to use our upstairs and astounding workmanship incompetence they stopped the leaks. Exhausting experience to get them to fix it. It was like it was their first time installing sliding doors. If thatsn that's notdnot enough, multiple windows make alarmingly loud cracking sounds. Multiple neighbors areeare the same issue and PGT doesn't stand behind their work. This is for $1-2 million homes. I can't imagine what they do to take advantage of less expensive homes. Sales person also talks down to women. Contact me before you hire them and I'll play you the audio and video of our windows popping. PGT is a shameful organization.

We've had these windows for 2.5 years and have issues since they were installed. One window looked like it had 2 snowflakes in it but since it was on the second story, we thought it was the outside. It is hard to get a picture but there are 4 and it's all foggy. Our french doors have now started to do it too but no "snowflakes". I've left messages for their Consumer Affairs department and eventually spoke to Kat, ext 2163 and had to call her back once I received the order number from the local window company. I have since left multiple massages with no call back.

Horrible customer Service. Won t even send a tech out to see if it s a manufacture defect on windows that are less than three years old. Rep on the phone said sounds like a stress crack and that s on you to have it replaced . She went on further to say they are windows they are fragile. I wonder if that s what they tell people when they sell these windows . Like , hey by you have the risk of cracks happening and we re not gonna cover it but it s gonna cost you 35K for these windows. I have left messages for management and have not received a callback. I wouldn t recommend this company to anyone who would ask.

This is the worst manufacture ever. They do not stand behind their product and hide behind the fact the original owners are not there. I was literally told "Doesn't matter how old they are. Read the fine print in the warranty section. Has to be the original owners." The windows are in the warranty period and as you can see clearly are defective!

Worst customer service I ve ever seen from any company. PGT Windows warranty is completely useless. Make sure you get the sales order from your builder if you buy new construction otherwise you have no warranty even tho they boast a long warranty on the product. All stickers still on the windows with any numbers they should need to provide warranty and even have the information for the supplier that sold them to the builder and installed the windows, still no help.... Customer service reps can t even bother to call you back & help. Surprised they are still in business! Do yourself a favor and find a company to buy impact windows and doors from that actually stand behind their products. This company is a joke!

We had PGT windows installed in throughout our house in 2010. In 2015 several windows started getting foggy. We contacted PGT windows immediately and they gave the ok to have them replaced at no cost. However, the company that originally installed them is no longer in business. PGT industries said we should find a new installer and the windows would be sent to them for installation. However, each installer they have given us claims to not be able to get the windows from PGT.
After 3 years of back and forth with PGT representatives we still have foggy windows. My advise, NEVER use PGT windows no matter who installs them.

We have 26 windows in our doublewide. The seals have bowed out on every single window. We are not the original owner so we know that we are not covered by the warranty. But we also know that the original owner contacted the company to no avail. Very poor quality and poor customer service.

We are getting beyond frustrated with your terrible customer service. We have been fighting this issue for over TWO years and still nothing! They sent someone who basically said that it was normal to have ugly rings on windows and we d just have to get over it. There are clearly some serious issues with this company, but sadly they are one of the only options for hurricanes proof windows :/

I'm a contractor and have purchased and installed ...

I'm a contractor and have purchased and installed hundreds possibly thousands, of PGT windows. Unfortunately some have resulted in stress cracks, which are only covered after 12mo. The company claims these cracks after 12mo. are not due to manufacturers defects. The glass panel that usually cracks is the internal one that is laminated. It is the difference in expansion and contraction rates between the glass and laminate core that "stress" the glass. How can this NOT be a manufacturers defect?

I have since switched to CWS, better quality control, and a fully transferable warranty.

PGT used to be a better company but as of 2017-2018 they have lost my business.

I needed to replace a window because I'm getting ready to sell my place. The company lost the order from the contractor and the window is now going to be a month later than I expected. Since my place is now on the market, this will possibly affect my ability to sell it. Telling someone a shoddy window will be replaced is NOT the same as having a new window in place. I'm very unhappy that there is apparently no way to speed up the order to make up for the delay or get any sort of discount.

I do not recommend this product. I have had about 20 replaced windows to PGT windows in my rental properties. I'm having an issue with most of them, if not all of them. Every time someone opens the window, they fell out of the brackets because the clips are too short. Other windows won't even stay open. Also in my opinion those windows are not save. PGT is blaming it on the installer even thought it's obvious that the windows were installed correctly. Also, very rude and unhelpful service. PGT refused to help me solving this issue. In my opinion the windows are defected and dangerous.

I have a less than 2 year old home with all PGT Impact glass. Their is dirt between the glass and internal suction cup marks on all the sliders [9 sections] I have had several dates that this was going to be corrected since November 2015 no still no remedy. I have countless emails to the corp. rep and local reps and cannot get a response. Maybe someone at higher level will read this and contact me soon ?

We remodel our house in 2016, 2 year later out of the 15 windows from PGT 3 starter to look dirty inside the glass, seems that the impact glass is not perfectly seal and allowed water inside the glass. After 1 year we still havent heard from PGT warranty. We have 18 windows from ECO, another brand with different price point (cheaper) with no issue in the same house And our CGI front impact door showed some water intrusion during Irma. For me PGT is not only overrated because of their quality, clearly there is none, but also from their customer service and warranty of their products. Im now remodeling our beach apartment and definitely PGT and CGI are out of the equation, paying more for a less quality product does not make any sense.

Bought impact window for kitchen. Build quality was not great and more importantly the manufacturing tolerances were off on an important cut in the metal.
This bad cut does not allow my window to lock. I've called in to see how PGT will handle it, but the stock answer that it would take 6 weeks for a tech to take a look did not make me happy.
I will report back about how this is resolved, because to be fair MANUFACTURING and CUSTOMER SERVICE are different entities and I want to describe the complete customer experience.

We bought new PGT energy impact windows. Love the windows. The company (Donna's door & window) we bought them from was great. Maybe you should pay attention from where you buy your windows from. PGT is the manufacturer not a service department. Your distributor services your windows. Sounds like the person you paid is not taking care of you "after the sale" It's been almost a year. No problems.

Stay away from this company!!!!

Stay away from this company!!!!
My windows are only 5 years old and all 16 of them are DELAMINATING!!!!
Contacted PGT and there customer service is disgusting. All of the blame was put on us or the company that installed the windows, LOL. There solution is to replace the windows but we have to pay for the labor. GREAT!!! Only problem is, labor to replace all 16 windows is at least $6,000. So we are stuck having to pay for removal and new install of windows that came defective due to a really bad product. Thousands of dollars originally spent and now thousands will have to be spent again.
See pics of my windows on PGT Facebook site under reviews.

If I had to do all over again I would not invest in these windows. The cost does not reflect the quality. Custom windows did not fit, one needed to be replaced (which was). The problem is with that, the stucco, tile and sheet rock work needed to take place which took months to bring to close, and that was out of our pocket. Had it not been for the help and guidance of two amazing people - I'd still be dealing with it. I'll add one more note - I still have issues with the corner guides on a couple of the windows - but today I was told this will be corrected (hence the update). My experience is my own, and I see others have had great success overall and some haven't; c'est la vie. To me, the experience complete, was not worth the $$ spent, frustration generated and out of pocket after.

Positives, the gentlemen who provided for install was courteous and informative as well as professional. He stayed with it for sure. The standard windows were fine, the specialty windows, not so much.

Last comment, take time to do your own research should you travel this path.

Thanks for your time.

I had renovations to my home in 2008 and all windows and doors were replaced with PGT French doors and windows. The sides of the removable screens were broken off after 1 year, and there was no replacement or even service completed or available.
The window and door company is still local, FOUNTAIN ENTERPRISES, however the job is probably too small for them now that they have grown into a "larger company".
The French doors do not close properly, the lockset that was once replaced is not locking properly, and neither PGT nor the window company that installed them want to or can provide assistance.
I will never again purchase a PGT product. They do not stand behind their product and have no service past one year. And their product is not cheap.

Sliding glass doors are quite solid and as specified. Get a good installer. My pet peeve: the darn PGT label adhesive residue was very difficult to remove. PGT advised to use denatured alcohol but it did nothing. (I knew not to scrape w/ a razor edge.) I ended up spending 1.5 hrs. using Goo Gone & a non-abrasive kitchen scraper to remove the residue. For spending thousands of $, this was most irritating. The installer said the labels had to stay b/c of our local inspection, but the inspector didn't look at them; I think the installer knew what a pain they were to remove.

Bought 3 windows and a patio door from them and had 2 windows and a patio door with blemishes between the glass. After waiting months for replacement, the 3 replacement windows had worse defects. Waited several months (again) to get replacement and pgt service rep said one window was damaged and he knew nothing about patio door. One month later he said he would need to come out to check on flaws of windows even though this had already been done? Called customer service repeatedly and no one calls back. Basically I just want to let them know not to bother since I have no confidence this company can make this right so in order to avoid further stress, I give up!

My windows were great but service before and after sale were unacceptable. When I placed my order they made a mistake on the quote and made me pay a extra $300. Then placing order again they talked me into paying extra to use their screws saying I could not find them locally. (Not true. Found right down street ). They sent sheet sheet metal screws and I needed wood screws. When I wanted to return them they took attitude and said they were not returnable. So I paid a extra $350. Uggggg. I hate being ripped off.

We purchased EZ breeze windows and doors for our n...

We purchased EZ breeze windows and doors for our new home in early July 2019. We were told they would take about 4 weeks to come in. My sister has the same type on her patio and loves it. I still felt like 4 weeks was a bit long. I know the owner of this Sunroom franchise so I felt ok dealing with them. With an extensive career in operations with a Fortune 500 company for over 30 years I asked him to keep in the loop. I followed up in late July and was told the order was in and they are waiting for PGT and expect the shipment late August. August comes and goes. I called again and I was told the order was delayed due to a hurricane that did not have any impact on FL or my state in NC. It is now Sept 24 and I am being told that only half the shipment came in because PGT was changing the types of windows they manufacture. Now my windows will not be in till October. Well now I am going to cancel my order. My wife is fed up.

I was told by the owner that when contacts PGT he has to Email them. He does not have a rep at PGT that he can talk to. He brings in more than one million dollars a year for PGT and he is small potatoes to them. Why would someone deal with a company if they are treated like small potatoes . Not me and I would not want their product.

Nice windows if you don t mind if they leak. We paid $36K for PGT Windows to be installed throughout a custom home. With the first and subsequent driving rains, the water percolates through a dormer window and cascades behind the drywall and through the door jamb below. The contractor would not address. PGT initially promised to get someone out to assess then failed to follow through, despite frequent contacts. We had other options that we should have taken as this is going to be a very costly replacement and damage repair.

Edit: To follow up the company's response below, they were provided with contact information and, yet again, made no contact to address their leaking window. I find a leaking window and a company that does not back their product to be one that deserves a consumer warning so I am adjusting my rating to one star.

We had a home built by Pulte Homes in Estero Florida. We specified impact glass on the property at a considerable cost increase. At just over one year one of the upper/inner windows has cracked. Neither the manufacturer nor the installer will stand by their product. Poor customer service from PGT and rude customer service personnel.

They say a crack is not a manufacturers defect. How do you know??

If you have options, look elsewhere.

Don't be fooled by the 3.5 star rating. The ONLY positive reviews are from PGT employees, which has NOTHING to do with the quality of the product, only about the quality of the work atmosphere. How is it possible that so many employees posted comments? Well, they were asked to, is the most reasonable inference. ALL, and I mean ALL consumer reviews are 1 star, with HORRIBLE comments about the poor quality of the product, and the abyssmal quality of their customer service. Do you really want to gamble your hard earned money, and safety of your family and home, on these reviews? Please.

We had our PGT windows and 3 slider doors installed 2 years ago. I cant seem to get an answer from anyone at the factory. So maybe someone else can tell me. When it rains we get standing water in the track 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep on the inside track. It slowly drains out. I shudder to think what would happen in a hurricane. There is an aluminum rail to insert but it is not water tight by any means. The inside track is always full of small leaves and dirt and it's on a clean patio. I have never seen this with any other sliders. Ther must be something wrong. Has anyone else had this happen? Help!

Worst experience, customer service and products !!
we purchased PGT patio doors and windows in 2016 and paid an enormous amount of money for them. One of them cracked a year ago and we are given the run around between our contractor , and PGT who refuses to cover it saying the warranty does not cover this. However, We were told the product has a life time warranty.
So don t be fooled and buy this product . Our new old patio doors lasted over 25 years since our building was constructed and PGT doors didn t last 2 years without cracking. We get to see what will happen if a hurricane hits!!
We are retired and have nothing else to do except warn others and ruin their reputation, so this review is just the beginning, PGT .

We spent$20,000 forP.G T. patio windows and windows for 2 bedrooms. The weather stripping on our bedroom windows is sagging and the screens do not fit into the slot.In January we notified the installer about the problem who in turn notified the company. We waited over a month. We called the installer who informed us that the company doesn't come for screens and sent him new screens. He came to install the screens, but the installer saw the it wasn't a screen issue, but that the space was not holding the screen in place. So, we are AGAIN WAITING for a representative, 5 weeks to be exact. We tried to call the company just to find out the date.We received no satisfaction! Not a call, email, etc.was received as of yet@We 've been told they don't rush, they take their time!Lovely, aren't they?We have responsibilities to attend to at our home in Jersey, and need to leave the beginning of May.This company is unprofessional, discourteous and lacks consideratio. These windows aren't even a year old!!I would never recommend them. Please be forewarned.

I question the manufacture, PGT Windows, in their ...

I question the manufacture, PGT Windows, in their poor choice of approved installers. If they are working with a company with as low of standards as Armortech Windows & doors it is poor reflection of them.

I would not recommend this Armortech to my enemy. They will not take responsibility for their errors or damage they caused.
I had my windows and doors replacement project started by Armortech in mid September 2019. I should have reconsidered on the first day when I heard then entire team complain about how bad management was.
On that first day they noticed that they had ordered the wrong doors. I also noticed that they ordered the incorrect transom window. I informed them of the error and they said they would get the correct window ordered.
On their next visit to install the right doors; I noticed that they were installing the incorrect window that I had discussed with them previously. When I pointed it out they reached out to their manager (Andrew) who called me up and argued with me about the window. Until I pinpointed his error.
A month later they came to install the correct window. In between that time I emailed Andrew about items that needed to be repaired. Including damaged threshold, damaged ceiling, damaged bathroom wall, damaged vinyl on the windows and silicone in between glass on the windows. He never acknowledged my email.
In late October the correct window was installed and they set up for inspection. With the threshold still damaged, ceiling still damaged and Bathroom still damaged. Inspection failed due to missing screws, missing deadbolt plates, locks not engaging, wiggling doors showing visible light around the edges.
They resolved some issues and had another inspection that passed in November. Though they did not repair the threshold, damaged ceiling, and damaged bathroom. I ended up having the bathroom repaired on my own. Dave committed to having Josh correct the remaining issues.
In December Josh replaced some of the threshold. But the ceiling was not repaired. At that time I also noticed a cut they left on the outside wall over a door. I requested that be fixed too.

I talked to Dave, the owner, and requested getting his insurance involved to repair the damage. He kept insisting he would have his crew out to determine what caused the damage. I was not comfortable with that option and he started arguing with me and hung up on me.
In February I did get notification that his insurance had been contacted and they were sending out an adjuster. I also contacted Armortech to inform them of broken and damaged frames around the glass.
March 2020 I get notification that they would not cover the damages as they could not determine what caused them as the damaged had been repaired.
I reached out to Dave and requested compensation for the damages and he is refusing.
To this day the threshold is still not fixed, and they have not offered repair to either the bathroom or the flooring. Additionally, there are still broken and damaged frames around the glass.
If you cannot trust the company through the install process how can you trust that the warranty they offer is of any value.
I should mention that the lending company Armortech set me up with, Greensky, paid Armortech before all work was completed. In other words Armortech was paid to leave a job incomplete and paid to damage property.
