Definitely never never order from them anymore. I submitted the order online on 12 Nov and have the books suppose to deliver today 27th Dec 9-6pm but till now no delivery. Called the hotline, its fake. Called 64640111 instead and spoke to a lady called Joyce Lee. She say definitely the delivery will happen today. The delivery is by SOS Delivery Team by the way. She got the number to the courier but she say cannot give me and she cannot call. She can only text them but the delivery side never reply her. This is absolutely terrible. I will complain to the school as well. School term starts next week and this happens. THIS IS CHEATING!!!

Very bad after sales service especially calls is never picking up no matter how many times & how many days i had been trying! Emails sent also were not replied. Ordered 1 sch bag for my son for his P1 entering, but was informed no stock & only available once stock in! How do you expect us to wait for the sch bag after sch reopens? It just doesn't make sense for us to purchase a new one while waiting for the one we ordered, waste of $! They should inform upfront if stocks not ready & if we willing to wait so that parents can purchase one outside. Their online website for placing orders are horrible too. items which i didnt tick were charged & sent....
Having same problem with the rest of the parents below.. Scheduled delivery of my girl books on 29.12.2020 and no show till today. All staff are dead.. Email and phone no response and daughter gonna start school on 4 Jan.. Going down to their office to demand for the books tomorrow. Parents should lodge complain to the school and MOE to remove them which I gonna to complain to the school and MOE
I tried to order during open dates but couldnt. All the calendar dates schedule was blocked. Opted for self collection but not able to go through as well. Emailed them , no replies. Called them, nobody picked up. Very frustrating!!!

What a frustrating experience with their after-sales support.
We chose delivery as the school recommended it in view of Covid-19 situation and we can understand if there are delays or missed deliveries if we are being kept in the loop.
However...
No delivery came on the scheduled date (10am to 6pm).
No updates of missed delivery either.
No one answers the hotline during office hours. You cannot even leave a message after the beep although the voice message asked you to.
Email? I am still waiting for a reply
Their delivery partner Yamato? The tracking number only shows "Received on DATE" and you can't get someone on hotline after that.
Doesn't pick up the phone nor respond to emails. And when they pick up the phone, the staff can't seem to be bothered to answer simple questions. Precisely because they are the main vendors for school books, they can't be bothered to attend to customers.
They didnt answer any call since 26-11-20 until today how to get the textbook or exercise books for the school. Please advise???????

If some company is allowed to "sapu" all the schools booklist contracts, and the website cannot handle, how to purchase "peacefully"?
Unreliable company. They don't even deserve 1 star. Doesn't fix the issue with the website since God knows when. Unable to log into the site after months of trying. Gave them a call to ask regarding it, only to be told to try to log in after November. Fast forward to December, issue with the website wasn't solved. Don't even know why is this company still around, despite their outrageous services and screw ups.
Website don't work properly unfortunately! After clicking it's for Primary Sch, zero pri sch name appeared and when did a test for Secondary sch only 1 sec sch appeared! Duh! Pls rectify quickly if there is option to order online! School starting!
Abysmal service with these sellers. I have been calling them everyday for the last week trying to understand why I'm unable to see the booklist for my daughter who's entering Sec 1 next year, but I've not been able to get hold of anyone. Each call ends with an option to leave voicemail, but the call cuts off immediately after that. I've sent them emails which have been left answered.
It's only AFTER I called the school that I've found out that the booklist will only be made available after the 22nd of Dec - when the posting results are out. This info should be on the website so customers won't be confused and frustrated.

Send wrong books and never follow delivery timing. Customers beware as name written cannot exchange. Buy school books and received wrong level delivered. Never notice until name written. There goes the money as cannot exchange despite the bookshop also have fault. Didn't offer refund at half price. Just simple apologise and customers need to pay for their mistakes? First and last time I would order home delivery from here.

It s so lousy. Both days delivery appointment did not arrive, we took leave to wait at home. Not even a call received. We called so many times. Nobody ever contacted us?!? I intend to complain to MOE! And somemore books missing when they finally delivered after 3rd day. Also nobody bothered to call. They deliver at any time as they wish. Wrote angry emails about missing deliveries and missing books also they don t bother to reply. They obviously think they are too big and proud to heck care about their customers
Website has been down for the past 1 week. Delivery and pick up services are all unavailable. It really shows how much the company cared for us. Job well done
Service is terrible. We made special arrangements to stay at home to receive the books. No delivery was made. When we called the hotline, the so called hotline had no one manning the line. And not only that, we were unable to leave a message. Have sent an online enquiry to them but there s no reply. It seemed to have gone into a black hole.

Books never arrive.
The transport company, Aitpak only have Malaysia contact phone no. on their website. Their tracking system shows goods arrived hub Singapore on 6 Dec '18, 9. 38 pm.
Pacific bookstore closed at 5.30pm. We all left in the dark..
The website automatically added items we did not select and I have written in on their website, sent email and called their hotline numerous times and received no response. This is not the type of service one would expect from a familiar name like Pacific Bookstore. Disappointing, since they are a dominant player in the school book space. Not replying to emails or picking up calls is just poor.
Every freaking year my school books always comes late and the service is terrible.
Twice created account coz de first one unable to log in. De school said last day 14th Dec which is today but unable to order! Tried contacting tru emails and phone calls for few hours no respond. Read de reviews since 2019 already all bad reviews. MOE really need to look into this. Now more worst due to Covid its like almost all de schools in Singapore are ordering from them online, to make matter worst most items are school base books which cant get from Popular bookstore.

Zero stars. The order was short of 3 books. Unanswered phone and emails. No refund too. If other sellers had these books, would gladly get elsewhere. Unfortunately those books are used only in our kids' sch (literally out of print). May we ask the school and MOE to reconsider this vendor as a partner. Open up the competition. Let parents choose from 2 or 3 vendors to purchase books from. This current arrangement is anti-competitive - bad for families, bad for school.
Very bad experience from this bookstore, after payment has been made. Please think twice before engaging this book vendor. MOE should check the capability of the vendor before making them official. Now my girl still cant get their books, please do your job properly.

I have been waiting for Pacific Bookstore's order delivery for a long time. But the textbooks were still not delivered in Jan 2021 when school started.
2 emails to them went unanswered. At least 3 inquiries through your company's website went unanswered too. Finally in early Jan 2021 there was an answer, telling me that order "pending means payment is pending thus order unsuccessful". How will any customer know this?
I have already checked my online account with Pacific Bookstore and it said my 2 orders have been delivered on 16 Dec 2020 and payment is Visa/Mastercard. Now they tell me my payment is pending only after my numerous queries although there is no payment failure notification given to me at the time of order. My payment details are correct as my first order out of 2 orders done on the same day is delivered but not the second one.

Not even worth a star. Ordered books for my p5 boy. Some items are missing, called and email, no reply at all. Moe, pls take action on them. Felt so cheated for the books I paid.
Ordering online was fast and easy. We received confirmation email for the orders afterwards. I opted for self collection and the books were ready when we came to pick it up.
Please try to source your own textbooks from elsewhere. I have ordered from them and delivery date is 19th Dec. Waited for the whole day and no one came. After which I do a search and understand that many had bad reviews with them. I have no idea what to do now. School will be reopen soon.
I ve had bad and rude service from them for past 7 years across 2 schools. Finally took their book list and bought from popular bookstore. Except for literature book and exercise books which needed to be purchased from them. Each year they have different sales ladies but every single one of them had been rude, impatient and condescending. Also, something is always out of stock.

Today I went to the school to collect my order but was told by the security guard that the bookshop is closed. I called up your office and your staff actually gave me the wrong information and I have made a wasted trip down to the school.
As a service provider, I think it is appropriate for your company to inform us, the customer, of any changes.

Hi all parents, credit when it's due. I too got worried when I could not re log in with the same email and this google review feedback had me really worried. I immediately emailed them asking about my purchase 2 days ago, for which I did not receive any confirmation. Guess what, within 30mins, I received a call from their help desk. At 7.55pm. The guy confirm my order and said will reset my log in credentials for me. Not saying their website is top notch, but to receive a call back within 30mins at night is pretty good service. I have ordered thru their website 4yrs in a row and this year was a bit problematic, yes that's true. I can't speak on all's behalf, but this is a review for my own experience.

According to booklist, no walk ins only online orders with option of self-collection in school or delivery ($11.80).
There was no indication on when is the last day of online order on the booklist. Only when i registered then it prompted 18 Dec 6pm last order. I had managed to place order hours before 6pm.
There was no self-collection option available so I can only go for delivery which the only date given was 24 Dec 10-6pm and i was being charged $11.80 x 2 (as i have 2 kids).
Order confirmation email received together with tracking number and courier company (yamato). Checked the tracking number on yamato web and it kept showing unregistered.

When you become a monopoly, service drops. No one answers the customer hot line not replies to email. This is a head office issue. The service ladies are awesome. But once you place an order, no one can help you change it. I guess the exercise books will have to be from here but all other supplies are cooking from popular. Frequent this store at your own risk. This review is from 3 years of experience with this company. I'm using popular for all other orders needed for next year. Sorry pacific, service is worse than non existant.

I don t even know if they will give me a refund for no delivery order. I can understand if it delay but to do nothing and make people wait with no answer is unacceptable.

Ordered extra school books, stuff never came but they still got the cheek to charge us. Now times are bad, it seems that even a bookstore will attempt to scam you. Their office phones obviously doesn't work or manned by a phantom. You can call until the cows come home nobody picks up your call during the stipulated office hours. Submitted webform for missing items have yet to receive any response, it's been 8 days since. Now I have to take leave to go to their office since current attempts of communication doesn't seem to work with them.
Update: got back missing items after making a trip down to the school bookstore, no questions asked also no apology given (not that I was expecting it). Not changing my rating because it was 3 weeks of my time trying to call and email which absolutely led to nowhere.
The website is absurdly user unfriendly. When setting up user account, home address and last 4 digits of nric of both parent and child are required which I question the relevance. Delivery address needs only to be provided when home delivery is requested for. There are customers who want self-collection and are not comfortable with providing these info. As for the last 4 digits of nric is totally incomprehensible. Payment is made on the spot online, no one can default on payment, there is no need to hunt us down.
When at the screen to make payment, regardless of whether I choose Visa or PayNow, it does not allow me to submit. I called the hotline 65592269 at about 9.30am which is within their operating hours, no one answered the call. I called numerous times and when i tried to leave a message, the call was cut off. This really leaves a bad taste of being held ransom in the quality of services provided, bearing in mind that many schools in Singapore use their services.
Ordered online and opt for self pickup. After checking the bundle, found there are 5 missing items. Have to arrange specially to go down there again to collect the missing items. After the school reopen, my kid complained that they give wrong level books. Super messed up.

Unable to buy books since 1 month ago where my girl gets her Sec sch book list. Website doesn't work, call no answer, response form have error and email never reply after so long. Password reset also doesn't work. I wonder how do they have the cheek to put its testimonial and awards achieved for their service. Cannot buy from Popular Bookstore only as there are school based books. Sigh!

Poorly run organisation that either is unethical or cannot prevent their staff from being unethical. The school bookshop sold unauthorised stuff like Korean idol items, and then hid them when the teachers did spot-checks. The school bookshop is always coming up with new non-necessities to entice innocent young children into wasting their money. Staff is perpetually grumpy and snaps at customers in an impatient manner. Children sometimes get overcharged but do not dare to clarify as there is no proper receipt.
I've not been able to buy my son's books for nearly a month. Wanted to cancel the order as there were some mistakes and then re-order. Managed to call and email, nut did not receive a reply. Tried contacting again and again, but to no avail. In the end, had to go down to check. The young man told me that they have thousands of emails and they did not receive my email. This is very poor customer service.
If I could give it 0-star I would. Purchased books online and for delivery. Books not delivered. Hotline unanswered. Email unanswered. Hands down the worst service I ever encountered. If you are reading this, please DO NOT buy online. Go and buy it some where else.

i would rate 0 stars, if there was one. worst online platform with unreliable service. There is no delivery option dates available at all for items to be delivered. "DONT BUY FROM THEM" go somewhere else and get your items.
Zero stars, website is not user friendly. System crashed midpurchasing items, can't go through with the order of books if don't purchase uniforms (for the other gender's uniform that don't even need??) And never indicate if items saved into cart/already purchased or not. Had a scare upon checking the account again, saw items already purchased for over $150+. Cancelled quickly.
Items have also been selected for you already.. why can't we just do it ourselves, lest the order goes through wrongly and have to purchase excessive items.

This a terrible mess website. First off all yesterday I created an account and when i re signed in it shows customer error so i created another account . Secondly the dates looked like they were fully booked till 2023 , dose not make any sense . Lastly when i login today i manage to find a day and booked it but turns out that there was no booklist and i could not even select any book . I just want to say that if this bookstore is famous for supplying books and stationary , what a mess .
Ordered books on 23 Nov but not delivery until today. No one picks phone calls to their office number. No calls, mails and messages from them on order status and reason for no delivery. Today their office number is not even getting through...just wondering if it s dead or what. Very bad and u professional attitude by PacificBookStore. Worried about the money spent on order and where to go to complain as well as get books for my daughter. UPDATE: delivery people shows up on door suddenly after one week+ delay without any calls or intimation; they came late in night after 9pm gave the box said sorry for coming late. Never called or messaged before coming or informing for delay ..none. I am relived that at least I got the books. But not a good experience; this time round with pacific books.

Been trying to order the books for my P6 boy but their online system is lousy, unable to make payment, unable to edit the list . The worst is no body get back to you ! I've sent 3 email, 3 contact me forms and multiple calls but nobody seem to get back to me. As a MOE registered vendor and have gotten the project , I feel that PACIFIC BOOKSTORE HAVE FAIL THEIR MISSION I WILL GO AHEAD AND REPORT THIS EXPERIENCE TO MOE , so that MOE can revaluate the capability and standard of this company. Parents need to have the books before school term start and especially for P6 alot of preparation needed.

How do I get the largest bookstore operator in Singapore to respond to me on the missing items?
Basically no customer service and no basic courtesy. Send wrong items. Emailed phone multiple times. No answer. I will make a complain to the school why this vendor was choosen in the 1st place. 0 star if possible. Very dissapointed.
If you have a phone line, answer calls.
If you have an address, state what your office does.
If you have a website, make it informative and functional.
How are we consumers going to deal with such company? I waited whole day also didn't get the books. Did the rest of people who suffered managed to get refunded?

This is my 2nd updated review for yr2020. ordering this year from them, horribly expensive delivery charge $11.80 & can only put into cart for 2 kids at a time & if you have 3 kids, you have to pay twice the delivery charge of $23.90!!!!!! Again, no one ever answers the call to their phone number!!!! At least Popular allows for us to go store to pick up the books at a range of dates. Pacific clearly can't be bothered with improving their customer service.

On 08 Nov 19 (Fri AM), after the P1 Orientation, my wife paid $65.40 in cash at your bookstore in North View Pri Sch (setup adhoc in a classroom). She collected all items on the spot, except for 2 - NVPS School Handbook (2020) and 2501 Board TPC PVC Ring File 25mm . Your cashier said that those 2 items would be delivered directly to the Form Teacher.
Today, 02 Jan 2020, we were informed by the Form Teacher that she had not received the 2 items from your bookstore. In order not to cause delay in my child s learning, we paid for the two items again at your NVPS bookstore, total $7.30.
Can we request your assistance in the refund for these two items?

Prima facie, below was what happened on 08 Nov 19, in chronological order.
1. No Credit Card Receipt:
My wife wanted to pay in credit card but your machine was down. She had no choice but to pay in cash. There was naturally no credit card receipt.
2. No Merchandise Receipt:
When my wife requested for a merchandise receipt stating clearly the items bought, your bookstore cashier said they were unable to issue such receipt.
(On 02 Jan 20, we verified that your bookstore cashier (a different person) indeed were unable to issue a merchandise receipt when we bought $57.50 worth of items at 1315h, with MasterCard ending *-0742. We were issued a credit card receipt this time (see attached file), as the credit card machine was not down.)
3. Ticks on Booklist:
Hence, the only thing we could depend on were the handwritten ticks on the booklist, and the final amount $65.40 that was handwritten by your cashier on the booklist on 08 Nov 19. See attached file.
4. Name of my gal:
In addition, my wife was asked to write the name of my P1 Gal on a piece of paper, so that they know which Form Teacher to pass to.
5. Given all items except two:
Prima facie beyond reasonable doubt, if my wife hadn t paid the $65.40, why would she be given all items except those two above?
6. Adhoc Parent Signature Book:
On 02 Jan 20, when we approached a 50yo madam and a young gentleman (both of whom were friendly and professional) at your NVPS bookstore, they said that they couldn t find my wife s signature in their so-called booklet, and hence couldnt prove that she had paid for those 2 items. The irony was, my wife was not even aware of the existence of this booklet, not to mention the need to sign to prove that she had paid.
7. Investigate:
Can we seek Pacific Bookstore s help to investigate and give us a reasonable explanation beyond doubt? You may wish to view all necessary evidence, including the cctv in the school, and the handwriting ($65.40) on our booklist.

Agree with other reviews. Wrong Books were delivered even though it was ticked off in the packing list.
Hotline is unmanned, and the email and feedback totally unanswered. Zero rating is a compliment.... they should get -10 rating.
There are missing items not accounted for in my order, emailed them twice to updates..went dead silence! Call their so-called Customer Service line....NOBODY pick up for days!
Have emailed, called but no response. I have no idea how I'm going to get my daughter's stationery books now and they have stated online orders can only be done between 13 -15th Oct but the website doesn't work at all... a real hot mess of an enterprise and proof of why competition is needed to keep bad businesses like this out of the market.
Awful service! Paid for delivery... no books delivered! Website tracking service is a email!! Tried contacting sales offices... no pick up, voice mail does not allow recording!!! Why does singapore school use their services!!!
