Loved the historic hotel and our room. The restoration kept the enough of the original details so that the hotel is still beautiful and special. The staff was great. The food and drinks were extremely overpriced for what was offered. What the hotel lacks is a real wood paneled bar, that is cozy and inviting, with a great beer selection and quality comfort food. Bring back the billiards room!

We came here for dinner and enjoyed the elegant setting. The service was friendly and the food was good. It just lacked a touch of refinement and was a bit too expensive (for example $56 for steak).
A must stop place. The view of Omni Mount Washington Hotel and the Mount Washington is just breathtaking. I've been here in the summer, the fall, and the winter. All the three seasons the view is just beautiful. Plenty of space for parking. Don't forget to bring your camera to capture this amazing view!
A true grande dame of resorts, in the classic tradition. Not many of these left, with great public spaces, amenities, great service. Not cheap, but you still get what you pay for. If you're looking for a blast from the past with all the modern conveniences, this is it
We had a lovely experience. The views breath taking ! The history is amazing! The restaurant upstairs was beautiful and service was fantastic. I had the best clam chowder I have ever had. Trust me I have had a lot of clam chowder in my life growing up in Maine!
Very quaint old world hotel. Service and staff friendly and acccomodating. Somewhat pricey but a beautiful hotel. View of the Washington mountain is amazing. Centrally locates. I would definitely recommend this hotel if traveling in area.
Mt Washington Resort was terrific! The service staff were all so courteous and attentive. The grounds and rooms are beautiful!
It s turned into a family resort. If you re looking for a quiet, romantic getaway, for the price, this is not the place for you. Or visit in the fall or spring seasons.
If you are planning a trip here please be aware that there is only one restaurant open and you need a reservation. This was not shared with us when we booked our room or at check in. First night we drove over an hour round trip for a bite to eat. You will also find some SURPRISE fees added to services due to Covid. Again, no prior knowledge or explanation at check in. When you arrive, you are at their mercy. There is nothing else open in the area.
Definitely a spot you should stop at if you are in the area. The view of the Mount Washington Hotel and Mount Washington are breathtaking. It is a great place to take pictures or just soak up the view.
The food is excellent, the location 5 star, the outdoor pool was suppose to be heated, the heater was broken, there was no ice, however complaints were handled quickly .
The location is beautiful, the staff is definitely doing they're best in COVID times. We found the decor and furnishings to be dated for our tastes. There was a lot of confusion in regards to our reservations when we made them initially. There isn't anything really WRONG with the resort, but there wasn't anything that was amazing either
Didn't stay at the hotel, but we went on the horseback trail ride and had a great time. Stopped in the hotel and there's a cute little restaurant that serves food on the verandah.
We were here for a company weekend and really enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and most of all, the views and location. The spectacular view of Mount Washington and the Presidentials is so remarkable. This hotel really has it all. The only downside was the dinner - it was fine, but not outstanding. Breakfast was great though. Would definitely recommend!
Such a wonderful piece of history! All the views and the restaurants and places to sit and relax. The greens are beautiful and the gardens are so vibrant. Check out the "Lore" podcast episode 123 for some interesting history about the hotel and even about the haunted side of things!
The hotel is located in a pastoral setting, nestled in the White Mountains. The resort itself offers many amenities, as well as a mini - city within itself in the basement with restaurants, clothing shops, post-office, toy store, indoor pool and spa and bar.
Came for lunch, views are spectacular. Service was extremely slow. We had steaks from the dinner menu which were average at best and not worth the money. Ribeye overcooked but no server to send it back through for over ten minutes.
Truly unique and awesome hotel. Grounds and views are awe inspiring. Lunch was less inspiring. Quality of the food was below average. Prices were grossly misaligned with the quality of the food. Staff and service was excellent. Enjoy this historic hotel. Enjoy lunch elsewhere.
DO NO GO THERE, their philosophy is not customer service oriented. most of the staff are exchange students from other countries, nothing wrong with that if properly trained and supervised, clearly not the case. Also, they pride themselves on having 5 restaurants on premises, that is not true. There are only 2 restaurants on site and only one opens for lunch. The menu is limited and not healthy oriented. We love an antique property, but this one is old and poorly maintained. But the worst part is that most of the management staff, with a few exceptions, seems not to care. I traveled around the worl and can comment. based on experience and knowledge. This property is not worthy of their prices.
The place itself is very beautiful, very close to nature. The hotel service was very good, they have some great facilities like swimming pools, Golf course, tennis courts, arcade etc. if you are lucky you may spot a bear at night too This property is over 100 yes old still they have maintained it well and renovated it.The rooms were big and clean, very comfy beds too.
Great resort to stay. Main restaurant not to desirable. Hair in food and waiter just poo poo it off. Other than the rest of all the estblisments outstanding.
Fantastic. Historic. Beautiful. Late Summer vacation to remember. Awesome dinner. Climbed Mt Washington and relaxed in the spa with a nice massage. Must see to understand the grandness of this hotel. Golf too.
Very nice resort for an exceptional mountain outing. The views from all sides are picture perfect. Food and breakfast very delicious. The facilities are nice and clean.
Awesome winter view of Mt. Washington. Great staff, wonderful "old" building. The building presents with a breathtaking front as soon as you turn off the main road.
The front desk clerks, Rachel Parmenter and Hezekia Eastman and the Housekeeping person, Jackie Pantina, were incredibly professional, attentive, kind, patient and polite. I told them I have never-in my 55 years of travel, encountered such professional hotel personnel: these 3 people (plus the gentleman desk person who registered us for our stay (I did not get his name) absolutely "made" our stay at the hotel. PLEASE REWARD AND PROMOTE THESE FINE HOTEL EMPLOYEES!! My other comments are this: My sister and I are Seniors-the majority of the guests were much younger, so we felt a little out of place. We also miss the original dining room with its many white linen tables...I will say that the new dining room with its centrally located, very large bar and modern look is probably very appealing to the young crowd! My only suggestion is that the outdoor fire pit be limited to a closing time of 10 p.m. We had to call security to shut it down at 11:30 p.m. since it was surrounded by 20 very loud guests, who dragged extra Adirondack chairs over to it to accommodate their large, partying group! Thank-you for a memorable visit.
Amazing hotel, with wonderful staff. Check in went very fast and we were in our room in no time. The food is unbelievable! Great place for a conference, wedding or a weekend get away.
Very underwhelmed.Terrible hotel support and customer service . The restaurant food here is tasteless, poor options for children and my husbands chicken tasted exactly like my steak-rubber. The rooms are dated and not well furnished -no refrigerator - sorry moms who pump no where to store your baby s food . The outdoor pool was not cleaned the entire four days we stayed;.bugs and other debris .The outdoor fire pits are gas,are you serious? They provided zero heat . Booking anything with conceierge is a 8hr+ process, let me check on that ....wow who wants that kind of experience on vacation for the same or lower pricing go to Stowe Vermont and enjoy better landscapes .
I enjoy the history behind this beautiful place with its majestic natural surroundings. You can artualky visit this historical place without staying the night. Enjoy the adventure and research the history than visit Omni Mount Washington Hotel.
One of the still existing "grand dame" hotels, beautifully restored. Worth a visit just to marvel at its elegance. Be sure to check out the Gold Room off the lobby, where the signing of the formal documents of the Bretton Woods International Monetary Conference was held. Delegates from 44 nations convened, establishing the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, setting the gold standard and designating the dollar as the backbone of international exchange. It is preserved as an historic site. The view are magnificent and the food delicious.
The place was amazing and it have been 5 stars if the rooms weren't 90 degrees in the room with the outside temperature around 32 degress during the day and around 10 degrees at night with the windows open and ceiling fan on and A.C on 60 degrees, i know the hotel is over 120 years old and steam heat but for the rest of the place amazing great food and great staff very picturesque
Not best experience came up for a drink and appetizer on the bar. Service was terrible and overpriced and interior was old and run down. Had dogs and ask concierge if can bring to porch and was told yes. Only to walk forever to parking lot to be told by valet not allowed for the last 2 Years??? Shouldn t concierge know that?? Anyways beautiful property outside but to stuffy and old inside for me!!
First, let me say that I love this hotel. It s so special. It s wonderful, historic, elegant, beautiful, and so relaxing. I stayed here many times including in the Princess Room 314. Every time I stayed, there were some minor issues here and there, like loud banging all night in the bathroom or supply closet right next to the room so the staff wakes you up at 6:30 AM, etc. I always stayed at Deluxe queen rooms. This time, we arrived to find our room at 77F. The thermostat was set to Heat. I immediately put it on AC. A few hours later, it was 78F, then 79F. I called the front desk... 5 times. During he last call, I left the phone ring for over 10 mins. No one picked up. I finally walked down. There were two people at front desk and only one guest being assisted. I explained the issue and asked why no one was answering the phone. No explanation was given, just an apology with a smile. The service man came in relatively fast. He said AC is working but may not be adequate to cool down the room fast. He also explain that AC is on only when Fan is on Auto, not when the Fan is on On. There should be some sticker that is out on the AC to explain that.
At 3 AM, the temp was still 79F. At 7AM, the temp was still 79F. It s not pleasant to sleep in a room that is not air conditioned. And certainly, for the price to pay, a working AC is expected in the room.
So, a few things can be improved:
1. Rooms are generally assigned in advance. There is no excuse for cleaning staff to leave thermostat on Heat in the middle of a heat wave. Staff needs to make sure guests come into AC d room and not into a room that is uncomfortable to be in.
2. Someone should be answering the phones so guests don t need to walk all the way to the front desk to ask for bare necessities that are expected when you come to your room. This hotel is not cheap. AC is expected.
3. Basic maintenance should be performed on things that are falling apart. For example, my son scratched his arm on a lose bathroom lock where the metal and bolts were sticking out. It should not be that difficult to fix this!
4. Outdoor pool needs replacement. It s old, falling apart, and over-chlorinated.
5. No internet. Yes, WiFi is available but you don t get internet with that WiFi. It s useless.
I have several other trips booked at this hotel over the fall, winter, and spring. I hope my upcoming experiences will be better than my current stay.
Staff was very friendly and wanted to help . The resturauants were not well staffed. The apps seemed to be all frozen items just warmed in Microwave. The breakfast buffett was not well maintained by the dinning staff food was cold chefs had hard time cooking requested omletts.
Did not stay at hotel, dropped by for a visit of a historical location and to see the view. In these respects it was incredible. As soon as you enter it feels like an old fashioned ski chateau.
I've stayed at the Omni Mount Washington Resort twice. Each time I visit I feel like I've been thrown back in time. The hotel is exquisite, warm and inviting. You almost feel like you're on the set of a movie, like The Titanic, if the ship was a hotel and not a ship! Don't let the old school facade fool you, the bathrooms are updated, there is very good wifi, flat screen tvs and excellent food and drinks! If you're an outdoorsy type, the Bridle path is a moderate trail run or bike path, the golf course is great and of course, skiing and hiking. I really do love this place!
We were just stopping by briefly on Sunday for the High Tea, which is done on Fri& SATs, oh well, so we walked around a bit & saw awesome views of the Presidentials
The location where the Bretton Woods Agreement was signed in 1944 to discuss the post-World War II western economic system. In the room where the meeting was held, plates and photos related to the meeting are displayed.
My company went here for an offsite meeting and it's super nice. Food is excellent, the building is amazing, the guest rooms are very comfortable. Very close to the mountains so there are many options for hiking (we went up Mount Willard). Views when we were there were spectacular when they weren't blocked by clouds and fog (normal for this time of year).
Amazing place to how up for a weekend. The Cog Railway is close by and the resort offers many activities all year round. Remodeled room was gorgeous but the view toward the parking lots wasn't great. Oh well, went exploring instead staring.
Built about 1902 and today it is well maintained. Excellant but pricey food. There is a free tour with some history of the area. Rooms are irregular but show some elegance of the early 1900s. Fun to walk around. It's a golf hotel part of year and skiing in winter months. Downside is poor room ergonomics for the current era. Bathrooms are small and not particularly convenient, poor lighting almost everywhere. Room checkout. Particularly getting luggage out in a timely fashion was a nightmare.
My wife and I love to have our annual weekend away here. This place is magical and has so much history. With the outdoor swimming pool and jacuzzi and being at the base of the Mount Washington the view is absolutely stunning.
My wife and I had our wedding at the Mount Washington and it was an amazing venue. As stressful as a wedding can be, Marjorie really did a nice job of making it feel special for us and she went above and beyond to fix the bumps along the way. All in all, the service was outstanding and the staff is truly something at this place. Everyone is warm and jumps in to make your stay extra special. We even got some complimentary hot chocolate just relaxing in the conservatory!
The only thing that really had sent stress levels soaring was this place can't seem to figure out room reservations. From the onset, the room blocks were never right, the rooms people had reserved were unavailable, some of the rooms were in disrepair (one had the ceiling fallen in). None of our wedding party had rooms upon check-in since the staff were checking in normal guests into the wedding blocks.
Another thing I thought odd was we were contractually required to rent out the rooms above the ballroom. Makes sense with the noise, but we didn't understand why the Friday night wedding wasn't bound by the same. Instead we got to listen to their party all night and the after party in the hallway as they were apparently on the same floor.
We had a little hiccup with our massages on our first go around. They just weren't good. But Marjorie heard our review and wouldn't have it. She personally set us up with the right people and comped the most amazing massages we've had all year at the spa. Total redemption!
Would I do it all over again, 100%. The actual wedding side of it was amazing. This venue takes your breath away. The rooms were just a headache that seems trivial for a place of this size and prestige to have this many issues with .
