Ocwen Financial Corporation - US Review

This company is a flat out joke, three years in a row they have been late paying my property insurance, I ll pay to prevent a lapse in coverage in the sum of 1800 bucks and three months after the due date they finally issue payment and I ll get a reimbursement from my insurance company. Not a single person at this company speaks English, and what they call English is a joke, their accents are so thick with a middle eastern dialect that it creates a impossible language barrier. You ll never get the same story twice they are constantly lying to you when you call. This place needs to be shut down by the government ASAP. I will refinance this next year just to get the loan away from these idiots. I ve read several different horror stories of these fools forclosing on people who have never missed a payment!

Good service, professional employees and a strong desire to help borrowers stay in their homes and save their hard earned money.

Constantly trying to scam me out of more money with refinace, insurance, fees- and then fail to manage my escrow account and made it -200% what it should be.

The worst place to do business with. It takes forever for someone to give you a call back. Also, the lady who was helping out did not DO anything. Interest rate goes higher and higher almost every six months for no reasons. I called customer service twice, both people told me that I needed too buy another "insurance" and I told them what was it for and at the end they both told me, "they do not know." Ocwen is so unprofessional.

Ocwen Loan Servicing, LLC is the worst of all financial companies existing in the United States of America. Unbelievable, Ocwen does not even deserve an star but, in order to post this review, at least you have to given them a star!!!!!. More than a financial institution, represents a group of unscrupulous people, out of financial and real estate laws. It is impossible to communicate with a person in the US, because their customer service is out of the USA and their representatives are a group of inexperienced, inefficient and disrespectful people unable to give you a convincing reason for your question or concern. When you send a complaint officially, even sent by a lawyer, you receive long after a single answer:" your lawyer is not authorized to receive information and they need more time to respond". Simply, read the large number of existing unfavorable and negative opinions and reviews on the internet, to consider seriously the need to end this dirty business with a company that is not possible to negotiate or litigate amicably. Just I consider necessary to denounce his unlawful proceeding to the competent authorities and sue them in court.

I rather watch paint dry, listen to nails on a chalkboard, roll around in CRAP, and be fed to wild boars, than deal with the lack of intelligence there is at this bank.

Too bad there is not an option to give Ocwen a negative star!!!! I called them 4 X to get copies of statements they never sent me. It has been a year now and I never got them.

I sold my house on 11/17/15; I called them on 11/11/15 and told them not to pay the home owners insurance. Of course they did and now I have to chase down the money.

I feel sorry for the employees because they have to handle irate customer calls all the time. I am so glad my house sold because I don't have to deal with them anymore. THEY SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are the worst.. Guy answered and then said he couldn't help me after he told me he will provide me with the best customer service. Told me I have to call Wells Fargo to see if I can get any equity on the mortgage !!

Things have changed so much with Ocwen in the last 3 years. They may have management problems, but there Loss Mitigation gives better results across board than all other Lenders combined, if you take the time to send them all of the items they request at one time. I have had mods approved in as little as 7 days. If the loans are owned by Fannie Mae (GMAC), Fannie Mae makes all of the rules, and they are not as consumer friendly in modification terms and conditions, as those made under the HAMP program. Ocwen has programs even for those that don't qualify on the surface for HAMP mods. Their in-house programs are good, and other lenders do not even offer programs like their SAM program.
It is easy to bash the mortgage companies, but in my opinion Ocwen does more than the others for a better result for the consumer.

i have only been with ocwen since january 2013. my elec. payments were showing up as received but erratic. april never went through. i just happened to glance at my bank statement. i have since cleared the issue and the ocwen rep. assured me that because
the gmac takeover has had some bumps that certainly i would be able to have the late fee dropped. i have made over 150 mortgage payments with gmac and never been late.
today i call and spoke with someone else who indicated to me they cannot withdraw the late fee charge. i then sent a personal email to ceo william erbey. now i know its just a late fee but being a new kid on the ocwen block i thought a billion dollar enterprise may give a little latitude.

Piece of work by these Indian people, can't get to anybody to solve issues.

Should be 0 stars. If you ever run into a problem where you can't pay your loan for a short period of time expect them to attack you and call even your place of employment. When asking for a loan modification due to 2 backed up payments that continually lose documents and seem to just love to delay the process. Not to mention customer support isn't even in America. How is this company still around?!

Polite, helpful and knowledgeable. Employees are willing to assist versus just going to voicemail.

Their customer support call center is an embarrassment to even the worst of outsourced call centers.

Service is equal to that of BOA which means complete CRAPPPPPPPP! Never use these people.

Stay away from this people they are the worst in the market.

This company hides behind a bunch of Philippine and Mexican call centers who's operators seemingly cannot or will not assist with anything and have a hard time if you get them 'off script'. They refuse to connect you to a US center even though one supposedly exists in Iowa. That is probably as bogus as the way they apply payments or offer to set up accounts.

There really should be a Federal investigation into the handling of our sensitive financial information and the inability to get answers or assistance from the "customer service" lines in this operation. The board of directors obviously is happy with things and management is probably well paid, but the whole lot should be scrutinized for failing to act responsibly toward customers.

Very unprofessional and very stupid service company. They have all the call received in India, where they can't speak or understand demand of
American people. It took me 2 month of fight to pay off $40,000.00 of remaining balance and takes more than 6 months now to receive simple zero demand letter. CRAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

Extremely difficult to deal with. I work with a contractor and to get insurance checks endorsed by this company is exasperating. They require the home owner's written authorization for EVERYTHING even when you have a signed Assignment of Claim that authorizes your company to work on the homeowners behalf. Even releasing general information. Because the call center is outsourced outside of the US if you don't phrase questions in a way that matches their scripts they get confused easily.
Their call times are typically relatively low and it's reasonably simple to get in contact with the company however they basically refuse to speak with anyone but the home owner. If you're thinking about using this mortgage company just know you're going to have to be very involved in any home repairs or contractor work.

Absolutely the worst company with the worst ethics and a disgrace to the industry. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

The best think that can happened to me, i really fell so sorry for so many bad reviews that they do not deserve, because this is the company that have give more loan modifications and more chances to the homeowners to keep their home, if is not for them i will not have my house.

Can never speak with anyone. They are no help at all. The most unprofessional, rude, company I have ever dealt with. If I could give 0 stars I would. Can't say enough how unpleasant it is to contact them, and that is when you can reach someone.

The absolute worst to deal with. Can I do ZERO stars. They farm their call center to some foreign workers that do not understand and are impossible to deal with. I've been overcharged for many months and trying to stop it to no avail. I'll be very happy when Ocwen goes out of business soon... Google why they are going out of business

Way to go Ocwen Financial. You acquire PHH Mortgage, then start nickeling and diming their borrowers, without notice, no less. You're off to a bad start.

They kicked my aunt (with Dementia) out of her house, wouldn't consider working with the family. 3 years later and the house sits dilapidated and will most likely have to be demolished. My aunt passed away, which we have told them, and they are STILL trying to collect and even charged her for the whole time she was in a nursing home as if she was still in the home! Completely incompetent business. I do NOT understand how they're still in business and have not been shut down in an investigation!!

I have been trying to make a payment and the wire transfer came back. The reason stated wrong account number. The number was verified by the billing statement. Have made several attempts to make calls nothing is working no trace of USA offices that handle mortgages. Now what?

These worthless cretins bought my loan in 2011. Have taken over one hundred thousand dollars from me since then and now return my checks and claim not to know who I am. I am having to pay a title company to find out if the property title is clear or if Ocwen sold it to someone else and neglected to tell me.

Avoid at all costs.

This company is sleazy, they deliberately loose your payments if you mail them and then charge you late fees.
Their new trick is the website doesn't work, so you have to call to make a payment and then they want you to pay $19.95 to make a payment to them.
They won't connect you to Tech support about the website problems and the call center in India won't report that there is a problem with the website because the company hasn't sent a memo saying there is a problem. Crazy making!
They have been running these scams for years. Ocwen is in business to foreclose on your house, so if you pay on time they start to jerk you around to get fees out of you.
All of these bastards in Florida that work for ocwen should be in prison.

Please try to avoid this company, they are worthless when it comes to customer service! Sad and disappointing that companies like this are able to remain in business!!!!

Unbelievable incompetence and terrible customer service (from India) prompted me to write this review to caution anyone considering working with the group. I can't imagine a worse experience and my frustration level reached an all-time high.

This company is complete CRAP!!!!! I was in the process of buying a home and after 5 months of my time and not to mention my money, they terminated my contract due to a problem with the title. I cannot get anyone to return my calls or reply to my emails. I am extremely pissed about this whole thing and someone needs to do something about this company. There is no reason why people should be treated this way.

Been with them since May 2013. Terrible experience so far. E-payments from my bank wen fine for May and June. July payment was returned to my bank. Then Ocwen sent a bill with a late charge. August payment was processed fine. WTH?
Can't get through their website to fix this. Can't understand call center. They called every day for 3 weeks and only left a return phone number, no message. Even threatened FORECLOSURE for 'missing' this one payment on our 2nd mortgage. Avoid at all costs.

I would not recommend them to anyone. I question some of their mortgage practices especially their escrow account balances and payments.

Very difficult company to work with but this is a loan servicing company so you do not have a choice if they service your mortgage. Thier website is primitive and very user Unfriendly. The challenging website seems to be purposefully difficult. My experience with customer service staff has been difficult largely because the staff has often been unable to answer very simple questions. They seem to be reading pre-composed responses or rehearsed responses. This company has been investigated by state and federal authorities on many occasions for a variety of infractions at many levels from both the consumer side and at higher levels of administration. The fines paid by the company do not seem to result in an improvement in service. Maybe the company views the fines as a cost of doing business. I think the government needs to do more to get loan servicers to be more consumer friendly but then who is the true customer of the loan servicer---the consumer or the investor?

My husband worked for this company. He came from environment that promotes team work and assisting clients, his former employer relocated to another state. Ocwen does not work efficiently from the inside out. When employees attempt to solve the issues they are met with termination. They are currently being sued by regulators in several states. The are restructuring under Homeward, BEWARE!!!

Just spent 20 minutes on the phone trying to talk to a real person - got nowhere and never succeeded in talking with anyone - just recording after recording after recording. I thought Comcast was the world's worst customer service but this company runs a real close second. Either company could write a book on how NOT to do customer service.
