Things have changed so much with Ocwen in the last 3 years. They may have management problems, but there Loss Mitigation gives better results across board than all other Lenders combined, if you take the time to send them all of the items they request at one time. I have had mods approved in as little as 7 days. If the loans are owned by Fannie Mae (GMAC), Fannie Mae makes all of the rules, and they are not as consumer friendly in modification terms and conditions, as those made under the HAMP program. Ocwen has programs even for those that don't qualify on the surface for HAMP mods. Their in-house programs are good, and other lenders do not even offer programs like their SAM program.
It is easy to bash the mortgage companies, but in my opinion Ocwen does more than the others for a better result for the consumer.
