Had a really great experience at Northtowns Subaru...

Had a really great experience at Northtowns Subaru last week. Lou Viapiano was great - very helpful, honest, etc. I also felt like the pricing he and Thomas came to us with from the get go was extremely reasonable. It was easy to get to where we wanted to be price-wise with the folks we worked with. We had a great test drive and I especially loved that Lou knew the answer to every question I had (I had a lot!). Lou also got me the exact car that I wanted even though it wasn't on the lot yet. For the most part, we really enjoyed our experience and would go to Northtowns again for our next car.

Two things I don't love: 1.) All of the guys randomly sitting outside the front door of the building hanging out. It just seems unprofessional. Do they really get paid to sit out there and hang out? 2.) The guy who set up my phone with the blue tooth in the car basically made fun of me when I asked which car was mine. And the peanut gallery of 20 something guys hanging out in front of the building all thought it was hilarous. How unprofessional. I went from feeling super excited about my car to feeling stupid. Why make your customers feel that way? Especially after they spent a lot of money with your company? >> That said, both of these things made my husband and I really happy that we just so happened to get Lou for our car purchase. Had we gotten one of those younger guys, we probably would have gone elsewhere.

Northtown auto is the only place I get my car serviced I buy all my cars here I love it so much people are awesome friendly kind courteous palais and I never have issues ever can't wait to go back and I always choose northtown. I recommend this to all my friends and family any time I get the chance.

Brian Sider was very knowledgeable and helpful. Went in just to check out the new 2016 CX-5 and ended up trading my 2013 model in and driving away with what I thought was a pretty good deal for the brand new model...haha. Very please with experience at Northtown.

I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned VW from Northtown in December 2016. The sales experience with Greg Achramovitch was great. I drove 4 hours to look at the car because it was exactly what I was looking for at a fair price. Greg assured me the car would be thoroughly serviced before delivery and promoted their exceptional checklist that surpassed Volkswagen s. I was impressed with their facility and the clean car and decided to purchase it and returned a week later to pick it up.

The CPO car died on the side of the highway 860 miles later. On the way to the airport. My important trip turned to a day of misery and many problems. VW had the car towed to the nearest dealer. That dealer found the throttle body was completely fouled and needed cleaning. They also found another $1200 of service issues they thought needed attention, including the brakes that Northtown told me had been repaired.

I wrote the President of Northtown and sent him a copy of the service list and bill and my expenses from the trip. Ten days later I heard from a service manager Mike who offered to pay for my expenses but would not pay for the service, saying they don t check throttle bodies when they inspect the cars. He said he would talk to the sales manager about reimbursement and have him call me. No call. I called Mike back and he said he would ask the sales manager again to call me. No call. No check.

This weekend I received an email ad from Northtown promoting a throttle body cleaning for $160. Northtown couldn t be bothered to do a $160 service as part of their certification of the car they sold me. Northtown lost a customer and worse created an unhappy customer. Do you want to be their next unhappy customer?

UPDATE:
After my review was published Northtown reached out to me to resolve the issues with my car. They very quickly repaid me for my expenses and the repair when my car broke down. They had another, closer, dealer inspect the brakes on the car and paid a signification portion of the cost of those repairs. I wish they had done more work before I took the car, but they did do their best to resolve the issues that arose, even though I am 4 hours away from the dealership and not a regular customer.

Although Caitlin works out of the Toyota facility, she Shuttled us to see and drive the Hyundai, Subaru and VW. We never felt pressured to select a car. I previously had my older Toyota Matrix serviced at Northtown and their expert service led me to look at new cars there. It's so great to find a sales and service outfit that I can trust will put the customer at the top and not be just looking for how they can maximize profit. You have my loyalty as long as you continue your emphasis on the customer.

BEWARE OF SERVICE...I did have a decent experience with sales and finance when I did purchase my truck. I came in today for Toyota Care service and in the rush of dropping off was upsold "recommended" wheel alignment and cabin filter. As soon as I got home, I called and told them to put a note that I want to be called if anything out of coverage needed to be done. When I went to pick up the car and looked over the bill with the cashier, I was in disbelief. The tech said he got my message and said that he interpreted that to mean anything beyond what he already upsold, and unfortunately there's nothing he could do now. I'm sure a good manager would have him err on the side of caution and give a repeat customer a call to remove all doubt. Unfortunately for him, I live right around the corner and and talk to my neighbors about my experiences as I walk back from the dealership. And, I will not be doing any future business with Northtown. I'm sure finance would have made much more on my next lease or purchase.

However the salesman who finally assisted me did apologize and said there seem to be lack of communication on their end. Overall I was not impressed with the company.

I just leased a new Subaru Forester and had a great experience at Northtown. I originally planned on leasing another jeep, my contact was Todd Tomaselli and he was awesome. Not only did he work with me at the Jeep dealership, he test drove a couple other cars with me. He did not pressure me into going with his brand, rather he was committed to putting me in a car that best fit what I was looking for/needed. I actually ended up with the Subaru and instead of worrying about the reaction of the salesmen, he helped me evaluate the SUVs, negotiate prices, etc.... It was a great experience. If you do not have a "car guy", I strongly suggest Todd. He has an honest and straight forward approach that will make you comfortable and confident that you are going to be in the right car.

I'm so disappointed about the service, they are very nice to you up until you buy the car, everything that happen after it's not their problem, I purchased a kia optima and the agreement was they I'll put brand new brakes, three weeks later I start to hear some noise, I took it to another dealership, they told me that the brakes were gonand I should change it as soon as possible.. READ ALL THE WRITING THE DEALER AND LOAN AGENT WILL SCREW YOU. I was sold a jeep 4x4 but was given a 2x4. When this was brought back the dealer tried to screw me on the less the 3 week old trade in. Got a lease which all of us agreed was going to be for 36 months, they changed it to 48 months and refused to fix their mistake.

I took a test drive and ad interest in the vehicle but after talking numbers i decided i did not want to pursue any business with kia. I asked them NOT to run my credit and i checked my credit score a few days later to receive an alert that my credit was run by Northtown WR at 3900 sheridan drive.

I could sue, but i believe they took the paperwork away from me before i could get it back. So im not sure if they have a signature. But verbally i told them to toss it.

I can't say enough good things about Northtown. Our salesman, Dan Rubino was a straight-shooter, courtesy, and personable throughout the process. He knew we were working within a certain budget and helped us find a beautiful and reliable vehicle that we believe we'll be able to drive for many years. Then I received an e mail saying I cancelled an appt I NEVER made When I finally did get an appt I was sorry I didn't shop elsewhere I was charged more than the hourly labor rate saying it didn't apply. So why post the rates if their NOT accurate. My platinum plus rewards points where less than what I originally had after spending over $1600. They gave me a $45 credit toward additional services. This is my 5th vehicle & 4th SubaruI complained to corporate & to platinum plus but of course I NEVER received a reply. I'm done with this dealership Bad customer service to the 9th degree. Car dealership from hell. Service here is really, really bad. They did my brake pads wrong and another dealership had to correct it. In my brother's Kia they left a rag in his engine and the car broke down. They installed the freaking tires wrong on my mother's car-- and I'm not really sure how you do that. Northtown is absolutely terrible and I would rather surrender my license then put my car near one of their dealerships ever again.

My experience at Northtown Mazda was very positive and I would highly recommend that anyone see John Rogers for their next car. We went to the dealership with plans to collect prices and do some test drives in a Mazda 3. John was so laid back and friendly, that it was easy to discuss prices, options and model years without feeling herded into a purchase sooner than we planned. They happened to have the model year we were looking for on the lot (John had to hunt for it!) and we ended up going home in our new car! There was no aggression or phony sales pitches - John let us try out the cars at our own pace and worked with us on the price points. The business manager Michael worked with us on the protection and warranty packages and let us choose what was best for our finances without any pressure over-selling the products. JR made sure that we made all of our appointments before we left and they even arranged to have the windshield replaced because of some scratches at our convenience. It was a fabulous experience that was easy and straightforward. Thank you for my new car!

I had the absolute worst experience with this auto group. I was originally told to drive the 35-40 mins that they could get it me in a car with all the information I provided since I stated I wanted to know prior to driving to the dealer. Apparently upon arrivalI found out that their answering service is not the same as a sales man or someone qualified to quote a price. After 2hrs spent working with the dealer I was told a couple signer would be needed for the quoted price I said thank you but I don't have one and left. Over the next week I never heard from them to see if anything had changed but west herr dodge had reached out to me every day and and got me approved all be it at a higher rate and down payment. I agreed and was going to purchase the car my at West herr due to time constraints I was under as the car my wife wanted was at North town. At this point I got an offer from a co-signer so we got back in touch with North Town and set up the purchase with the original offer. This is where they removed my turn in from the original deal costing me an additional 700.00 I said ok I need this done I leave for 2 months in a day I will eat this to get it done and I had to do the turn in at the Honda dealer ( they offered to beat towns deal on better package pilot). At this point I am at North Town with no car but the one I am purchasing and my co-signer has left when the GM of the store makes very rude comments and walks awaymumbling under his breath.After letting my dealer know how I felt the GM comes out side I explain to him his comments are unjustified where he is even ruder to the point I did not want the car any more. After leaving and calling they made accommodations to return car within 1st couple hours when I could get a ride. I masked for someone higher up to call me with no response and did the call request online with no response that is why I felt the need to wright this review. I have never felt more insultd for the time and money spent at this mans store without a single request for anything other than the vehicle i desired. Side note this lead to me getting an upgraded dodge durango at 2,000 less down and 15 less a month from transit town dodge with alot better service.

What a great car shopping experience. We bought during the pandemic and upon entering the showroom, everyone was mindful of the recommended precautions. The selection of vehicles was outstanding and the buying process was done easily and quickly. Finalizing the finance paperwork was easy and the staff member stayed after hours with us to complete the paperwork and get it submitted. When it's time to buy another vehicle, we will definitely be coming back here.

Poor trade in value. Last month I was interested in a 2020 Ram 1500 Warlock from Northtown Dodge. I had attempted to use my 2018 Kia Sportage as a trade in that I had just bought the lease out on for $15,200. Understanding that I would not get that full amount back for my trade I was expecting a reasonable offer of at least $12,000. Northtown offered me $10,000 for my trade. I expressed my dissatisfaction with this since they were offering me $2000 less than KBB trade in value and every dealer in the area including Northtown Kia is selling RWD 2018 Sportages in the range of $14-$16k.

They had me drive back down from West Seneca so they could have an auction rep take photos of my trade in to see if I would get more through a live auction. Instead of meeting me halfway on a vehicle that I just bought out for $15,200 they had me take time from work to drive down for these auction photos. I followed their advice and the Sportage went up for live auction and I was offered $8500, even less than what I was initially offered. Complete waste of time. My salesman Ryan was also incredibly unresponsive and I had to blow up his phone in the days afterward to get an auction quote that was available 20 minutes after I had the photos taken. He also did not respond to me with at least a simple "Thanks anyways" or any sort of response after I rejected their ridiculous offer.

Long story short, I went to Transittowne 2 days later and they offered me $12,000 for my trade in, meeting me halfway so I can use it down for my new truck. I will never consider Northtown again when vehicle shopping and will advise anyone I know who is shopping about my experience so they consider going to any of the other large dealerships in the area first before losing out on a large amount of money for their trade.

While waiting I was treated to coffee and the best chocolate chip cookies plus I watched TV in the lounge room.I didn't even have time to finish my coffee when my car was done. BEWARE: NT Chrysler Jeep and Dodge They are very unprofessional. They lie when they sell you a car (etching that I said I didn't want was charged for and told I had good credit, then received 25 pieces of mail from various banks with denials, sold a car from under me when I was looking at it and waited 7 hours before I was told the car was sold.) Then 1.5 years after buying a car I try to cancel the extended warranty which covers absolutely nothing! Call and leave several voice messages, finally tell them I want to speak to manager and I am sent from Mike in finance to a man named Jim who answered my questions, then call back to talk to Jim in finance and receptionist tells me they don't have a Jim in finance? They transfer me back to Mike who is very unpleasant and now gives me information completely different from what Jim told me. I worn anyone to beware of this company and the people they employ. Read the other reviews, they're all NEGATIVE this was a nightmare!!!!

They also worked out that deal quite quickly so that I didn't spend a huge amount of time since I was traveling that distance. This dealership is a the top of my list to check when it comes time to shop for my next vehicle.

I just bought a new Optima SX Limited from Mick Bellus. I did it in a day and the process was smooth and pleasant. I made an inquiry over the internet at the Northtown Kia website. In about twenty minutes, Mick called me to see how he could help. I explained what I was looking for and what I had to spend. Mick asked if I was ready to come in and make a deal that afternoon if he could make me a deal I was looking for. I told him I would. He hung up and called back about half an hour later and said he had the car car I was looking for and he made me a smoking deal. My wife and I went in and closed the deal that afternoon. I cannot stress enpogh my complete satisfaction with the 5 STAR treatment my daughter and I received at NorthTown. Dan Erbacher is an outstanding person to work with and I continue to want to do business at NorthTown for all my automotive needs.
