These are four reinforced concrete towers, designed by Eng. Matteo Calvino and made in 1974 by Siderocemento for Vitali, a company then absorbed by Teksid, intended to cool, filter and treat the water used in the ironworks, and which, once cooled and purified, were left to settle in some tanks before being reintroduced into circulation in the plants.
Upon the decommissioning and subsequent demolition of the plant, the four towers and the building that houses them became part of the Parco Dora area Vitali, as finds of industrial archeology, and were decorated with a flight of birds on a rainbow that continues on the front becoming a ribbon intertwined with four different top hats that reflect the shape of the towers, and among which it is easy to recognize the Irish one, green and adorned with a four-leaf clover.
