My goal and objective was to purchase a new small SUV and use my 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid as a trade. I researched plenty, using Consumer Reports, Edmunds, Car & Driver, Motor Trend, Recall Lists, US News & World Report, Kelly Blue Book, Auto Trader, Vehicle Manufacturer websites, etc. The top review was SUBURU FORRESTER followed by a few other vehicles. I test drove Toyota Rav 4 at Fucillo while I was already in Grand Island on an errand...There was NOTHING HUGE about a Fucillo deal; there offer for my trade was an insult and they could not talk intelligently about the Forrester boxer engine, all wheel drive, etc. compared to Rav 4....My research showed Forrester on top! BIG TIME!!!!!!!!! I test drove Honda CRV at Lea.....Pretty much same results as with Fucillo...My sister purchased her 2014 Suburu Forrester in Rochester at Van Bortel Suburu... I could have gotten a similar great deal there as my sister knows the 2nd in charge well...Northtown Suburu not only matched their deal but beat it too!!! Northtown Suburu Salesman, Dave Baritot, was outstanding in sealing the deal, including a very fair trade offer. Brandon Carncross was also outstanding in helping us get to know our new car. Jim Maul, Business Mgr.,also was outstanding in providing great service from his end of the operation. We love the 2015 Forrester and I think we purchased by far the BEST VEHICLE in its class! Do your homework people and you will reach the same conclusion! We are beyond happy with our trade and purchase outcome!!!

My experience at Northtown Hyundai Subaru met all my needs and exceeded expectations. The customer experience was unlike any experience I have ever encountered with a car dealership. It was an experience I will always remember. I will always talk very highly of Northtown Hyundai Subaru. Kevin Perchan was a very professional, knowledgable and genuine salesmen to work with. He was an excellent salesmen, who listened to all concerns, questions and solidified my choice in why I chose a Subaru compared to others. Kevin helped make buying a car a seamless and rewarding experience. Northtown Hyundai Subaru is doing everything right.

The first time that I emailed the Lexus dealership requesting information on one of their vehicles I never received a response.
A couple of weeks later I went to the dealership, test drove a vehicle. We were negotiating back and forth but I wasn't ready to go up to their price. I was texting and talking with my salesman. His supervisor called me with their lowest price.
I called and left a voicemail several days later and requested a return call from my salesman. Sadly, he never bothered to call me back. I assumed the car was sold or sent to auction after it was removed from the website some days later.
I really make an effort to to purchase locally, but it doesn't seem likely that it happen at this dealership.

3rd vehicle I have leased from Brian Sider. He again went above and beyond to assist me including scouring all of the lots to find the exact Optima, the only one left at your store, that I had found online until we found it and now it is mine! I couldn't be happier, both with Brian and Northtown. He was fabulous when I came in for my first vehicle, I didn't think he could do any better after my second vehicle, however he went above and beyond now with my 3rd vehicle. We very recently leased a Toyota Rav4 for our daughter and dealt with a very nice salesman, Kyle Hatchett. Kyle did a great job taking us for several test drives and explaining the details of each vehicle we looked at before we zeroed in on the Rav4. We struggled a bit with the down payment/lease payment negotiation process, but were finally able to agree on terms. The 3-star assessment is the result of the experience picking up the vehicle. My husband and daughter spent over 2 hours at Northtown reviewing paperwork etc, only to discover that the car prepared and registered was NOT the color - inside or out - that we selected at the time of the sale. Kyle was extremely apologetic and took full accountability for the error, which we truly appreciated, however there was no manager above Kyle that expressed any measurable concern about somehow making the situation right, and didn't even so much as meet with my husband in person. At the end of the night, considering the time already spent at Northtown and how much additional time and aggravation it would have taken to make the change to the correct vehicle, my husband and daughter agreed to take the wrong car as is. It is not in any way how we hoped for this transaction to have been completed. This experience was unfortunate, since we are returning customers to Northtown due to the very positive experience we had last year with the leasing of another vehicle.

Bought a new '15 Forester just a few days ago from Northtown Subaru. Excellent experience from beginning to end. Lou took great care of me and my family and got us a great deal on a new Forester. The staff even drove my wife and daughter home when it was my daughter's bedtime so I could stay and finish all the paperwork and drive home with our new car! I just bought a Subaru from Joe Falletta, who actually works in the Mazda dealership of Northtown Auto. After test-driving the Mazda3, he took me over to Subaru and handled everything the rest of the way when I decided on the Impreza. Joe was very pleasant to deal with, answered all my questions, and found the car I wanted, which was out of town (stick shifts are hard to come by). And as a woman, I appreciated his non-gender biased attitude. My only regret is that the roads weren't that clear and dry...I would have loved to *really* challenge his test-drive mettle as much as the car's!

When we first got there, an associate helped us try out a few cars, and then when we found the one we liked he passed us along to Simeon. I dreaded looking for a car for my son. I just don't really like the whole haggling over a price thing. From the first time I contacted Chris and started talking about a car, he was fair and honest. I told him where I needed to be in terms of down payment and monthly payments and he exceeded those expectations. They actually came in under my monthly number by quite a bit (and they knew before hand what I was willing to pay)! Everything Chris told me was right on, I didn't feel like he was trying to pressure me just to get a deal done. It actually turned out to be a pleasant experience.

NEVER purchasing another car or referring ANY busi...

NEVER purchasing another car or referring ANY business to this extremely shady dealer!!!
Very disappointed with my overall sale process. I purchased a used car from here a couple of weeks ago. There were 3 main things that bothered me about how they conduct business.
1) After I started the purchase process they passed me off to their finance manager who had already drawn up all of her paperwork with a bank she determined to be the best deal . When I asked why the rate was so high she said that she was actually surprised it was that low and that I was getting a good deal. I threatened to walk away, and about 10 minutes later she comes out with an interest rate HALF of what she originally offered me.
2) The third row of seats were face down with an extra set of snow tires on it, which is a HUGE bonus living in buffalo NY! However when I got home and put the tires in my basement for storage realized there were only 3/4 tires I was originally told were part of the deal. As well as the third row of seats looking like they had never even been cleaned.
3) I also realized when I got home that my reverse tail light was out when my neighbor mentioned it to me. When I brought the car back in to resign the paperwork that they messed up the first time because of the bank change, I brought up the tail light and tires. Both items were dismissed and I was told they would look into seeing if they have the third tire and would have to special order a part for the tail light if they are going to do anything about it. I said okay thank you I expect a return call either way and the service manager assured me I would receive one. 5 days later and they have yet to give me a call.

Only complaint is that the new car was filthy when I picked it up - mud all over the interior. Also, they could not get my phone to pair with the car - had to do that myself the next day. Seemed they were not that interested in helping me learn the new features. Just an old fart in their eyes? An old fart with money!

I went for an oil change and the wait was about an hour. They checked everything over and had a report on the overall health of my car. They recommended changing my air filters, they were a mess. I had them do it only because I was there and the filters were out. The cost for 2 air filters was $80!! WAY over priced but what do you expect from the dealer? They washed my car and do great work, but really need to bring their prices down.

I bought my car brand new in the summer of 2013 and had nothing but pleasant experiences through the buying process. My impression of this company was quickly reversed from the moment I walked into the service center. I needed to get a tire replaced under warranty and was dragged in 4 different times before the tire was finally replaced. I had an oil pressure transmitter go bad on the vehicle and brought it in for warranty work. I was told the car was all set, the computer just needed an update. I turned on the car and the check engine light was still on, as if the vehicle hadn't been touched since I dropped it off. Most recently I noticed a dent in my rocker panel. Last month Northtown had my vehicle to replace the tires and coincidentally the dent perfectly matches the leg on their lift. One of the technicians clearly lifted the car incorrectly and I was certainly never made aware of it. Infuriated, I brought this to the shops attention where I was told by the service manager "you probably hit a curb, we definitely didnt do this." I don't think I need to go into detail as to why this is physically impossible, but the arrogance displayed by the manager will have me never bringing a vehicle to this company again. I am completely taken aback by the complete disregard northtown has for customer satisfaction, and will not be doing business there again. The sales department was the only thing keeping me there (they truly hold the company together) but the service department's inability to satisfy even the slightest expectations I've had with them is more than enough reason to not give them anymore chances than I already have.

4 stars instead of 5, because to many folks handle the paperwork. What was agreed on the day of the sale, was not the same when I picked up the car. So more haggling was done while signing the bill of sale. I haven't had service work done as I bought a brand new Kia Soul, so we shall see. Stay tuned.....9/3/19: now giving them 3 stars as originally they were giving me 300 for my junk car. Then it was 250. And they said they would help with the junkman. THAT didn't happen. I trust these people to keep their word NOT AT ALL. They got their sale, so their attitude is NEXT!

Dealing with Northtown has been a complete nightma...

Dealing with Northtown has been a complete nightmare from the day I picked up my car (one of their workers slammed another car door into the driver side door). The customer service is hands down the worst I've ever experienced. Everyone you speak to will "call you back later" and never calls back.

They sold me a car that has been in and out of the shop 8+ times in one year. Also, if you buy a Land Rover be prepared to drive a lot of Toyotas as your car will always be in the shop and instead of giving you a similar car, they give you whatever is available. You might as well just buy a Toyota and avoid Northtown completely.

I leased my first Mazda (3) from Alex Tkalich at Northtown in September 2011, and had a great experience- I had never bought or leased a car on my own before, and they made the process simple and comfortable- and I never felt pushed into my decision. The service department is always great too, whether for routine maintenance or random problems that arise- most of the time my car has been ready before the time they estimated.
This time around, my lease was up, and Alex helped us out once again. I was fairly certain I wanted to upgrade to a Mazda CX-5, and he quoted me a very fair price, and explained all the details thoroughly. Once I test drove it, I knew it was a done deal. My husband came with me to test drive and lease the car, and he kept remarking what a great salesperson Alex is. He's calm, cheerful, relaxed- and genuinely seems interested in making the experience as pleasant as possible. He's not pushy or weird- but rather thorough and supportive through the process. I'm very happy I stuck with Northtown for another lease, and thank Alex and his team for a very positive car-getting experience.

Although we arrived early, we were assigned a rep, got our inspection completed as well as a test drive to address a possible issue with our tire sensor in less than two hours....no problem was found...yay! (He also reminded us that we are still under the original manufacturer's warranty....Thanks Jeff!)

My sales person Chris Marazzo was really patient and explained every single question I had. Process was really quick and I didn't have to do anything apart from driving the car back home.

My experience at Northtown Hyundai/Subaru was absolutely fantastic. I was primarily in contact with Joe Hurley and Dan Strzelczyk.

Before I even arrived at the dealership, the back and forth email and phone communication I had with Joe was exceptional. He was extremely helpful and friendly.

Furthermore, I was driven from my home in Syracuse, NY to the dealership in Buffalo, NY. The kind folks at Northtown sent Les to pick me up and drive me to the dealership. Les arrived outside of my house and before I knew I was signing papers in Buffalo. Les was very nice and accommodating.

I met Joe and Dan upon my arrival and then sat down with Dan to complete the paperwork. Dan was very helpful, personable, and knowledgable throughout the entire process. It took less than a half hour before I drove off the lot in my new Subaru Impreza, en route to Duffs Wings to celebrate.

It was an absolute pleasure to meet and work with Joe, Dan, and Les. From the very beginning of the process to the day I sat behind the wheel, the people at Northtown were world class.

Thank you all so very much for being very friendly, accommodating, helpful, knowledgable, and welcoming. I truly appreciate it.

From start to finish it was the easiest car shopping I have ever experienced. I bought a Mazda from Tim Park. He was easy to work with and efficient. He found us the exact vehicle that we wanted and at a price we couldn't have dreamed up. I am now driving a brand new car with lots of upgrades at a monthly payment that I can afford. He took all of the stress and angst out of buying a car and I will call upon Tim and Northtown when we are in need of our next vehicle.

Just planned to test drive a crosstrek, but ended up buying. My selsperson was Chris Troxel. It was a no-pressure experince, which was great. The whole high-pressure thing really turns me off. I bought my last Subaru from Chris, too. I went back to Northtown mainly because of their service department. Andy Stewart & Mark Pawarski are the BEST service advisors & are always willing to discuss any questions or concerns that I have. I told Chris where I wanted my payment to be & he was able to get me under that without a lot of the back-and-forth haggling that typically happens. It was really a simple transaction. I also thought John, the finance person was super-easy to talk to.

I bought my 2011 Range Rover HSE as a CPO vehicle from Northtown. I have to tell you that I believe that they rushed through the COP process as I have had numerous issues with the vehicle. I have reached out to the sales person and then the GM and though they eventually address the first issue, which I was happy with, successively, with the other issues I have had ( Brakes and Rotors, Tires..) I have fallen off of their radar completely. I am in Rochester and I think if you are not right in Buffalo and not a high-profile client, you are not going to get the attention you deserve for spending money on such high-end vehicles.

I had a great experience with Northtown, as always. We've purchased and serviced all of our cars there. My 2008 Town & Country, which had served us very well, needed an expensive repair, and we had been planning to replace it in the Fall, anyway. So, Jason from Service (so nice) hooked us up with Mike and Mark (the Hannon brothers) from Sales and Operations, and they coordinated the trade-in. We came in the next day (during a terrible winter storm - with already about five feet of now on the ground), and everyone was there hustling. They dug my preferred Dodge Caravan out of their alternate lot, gave me a great deal, and helped me to move all of my minivan stuff from the Town & Country to the Caravan. This included pre-programming all of my channels on my radio from my old car, and putting the two cars back-to-back in their serviceway to make it easier on me. We were on our way, with a new car that we love, within 3 or 4 hours.
