Each time I call I spend a great deal of time being passed around to the wrong departments. No one has any answers and is only trained to read the script from the computer monitor. You have to ask for a supervisor several times before getting to speak with one. 4 of the 5 individuals I spoke with talked over me loudly, not allowing me to ask questions or comment. The supervisor I finally got to speak with read the script, again speaking over me, and then disconnected the call. Apparently if the answer isn't in a script then they send a request to the person down the hall which will take 10 days before you will receive an e-mail. I only had one question- "How much does it cost to file an assumption loan?" I must speak a different language because the first rep actually started to process an assumption which is amazing because I didn't even provide any buyer information. I wish I was still with Wells Fargo!!!!

I had an ARM that was due to begin adjusting this year which was recently assigned to Nationstar for servicing. With the low interest rates, I probably would have been fine, but still wanted to refinance into a fixed rate. Due to family circumstances, I'm not making much money right now. I saw a notice on the Nationstar website about refi's for homeowners in distress, and filled out the form without expecting much.

I received a phone call almost immediately from Charles Lee, who explained the program in question and emailed me the initial paperwork to start the process. As we moved forward, he turned me over to Caroline Collins for loan processing, and within six weeks, I had successfully refinanced my loan at a lower interest rate and substantially lower payment.

Charles and Caroline were courteous, efficient and knowledgeable. They answered my questions promptly and in detail. Can't say enough good things about them personally, and about the entire process. Thank you, Nationstar, and thank you, Charles and Caroline.

Excellent customer service and extremely fast loan processing. This was our 4th experience with Greenlight Financial Services. Nationstar may now own them but everything went smoothly just like the 3 previous times.

The process went approximately 3 weeks from initial contact to closing. By utilizing internet technology, sending/receiving documents and email correspondence really speeds thing along.

The ease of doing business is the primary reason that I choose to contact Nationstar Mortgage again for my refinance needs. I would not hesitate to use them again.

I ve always paid my bill over the phone. November I paid my bill received my confirmation number, the check never came through my bank, 5 days after payment to USAA aka Nation Star systems they NEVER received any payment since October 31st 2018. So I had to make another payment for November because I was late according to their system So I paid another payment for November and received another confirmation number. Oh Now they found the payments so 2 checks went through for November 2018 On 12/3/2018 ( Banks record all their conversations) And it screwed up my account so bad But they are saying they are not responsible for any problems that their system has charged. The only way Banks Listen is with Class Action Lawsuits. USAA aka Nation Star knew their system has issues fix it , Nation Star just lost one class action law suit and had to repay customers for the problems their system caused. customers are not stupid your phone system knows exactly when the customers call in, they use that same system to remind customers if you re late without updating your phone number. Servicing companies are like a crooked car dealership they will lie to receive more fees and commissions. Your company will be next folding because of the lies , USAA isn t going to accept ownership of your problems. Nation Star is a contracter in their contract with USAA they are allowed to say (they are USAA but they are not USAA staff..)

I was contacted by Jae Shin to see if I might be interested in refinancing. My wife and I were understandably nervous about such a big step. Jae and his closing assistant Duc Lam made the process as simple, understandable and efficient as is possible. Our experience with them was fantastic and I would certainly recommend doing business with them to anyone who is on the fence about refinancing.

I had a great experience with Greenlight/Nationstar. It started with Robert Sides and carried on with everyone on his team. Both Robert Sides and Jody Anderson were fantastic. Their professionalism and communication is second to none. This was by far the most painless process I've ever experienced when purchasing/re-financing my home. There's a lot to be said to that as anyone that has ever been through the process can attest it is challenging at times. Apparently I hadn't experienced it with these two. I definitely know where to look in the future, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Greenlight/Nationstar (particularly Rob and Jody) to anyone. Thanks again!

I recently got divorced and was awarded my house. In the divorce decision, I had to refinance my loan. I had my loan through Nationsar already so this was very helpful. But I would like to thank all of the people at Nationstar and Greenlight loans for their extremely simple process of refinancing my loan. They made it very easy from start to finish. I not only was able to refinance my home, I got it at a much better rate than I had ultimately saving me a substantial amount of money. Thank you again for your hard work and helping me. It was greatly appreciated.

We recently refinanced our current mortgage through the Nationstar subsidiary Greenlight Loans. (The existing mortgage had been held by Nationstar who acquired it from Bank of America.)

The Senior Loan Originator that handled our application, Mr. Tom Hill, was nothing short of amazing. He was incredibly patient in reviewing our personal situation and offered expert advice as to the best possible product for us.

Nationstar is very fortunate to have an officer of Mr. Hill's caliber in their organization.

Michelle Crawford, who handled the back end processing, was also highly professional in getting everything put together as efficiently as possible.

We also have found the Nationstar website very easy to navigate to both setup and review payments.

We will certainly be recommending Mr. Hill and Nationstar to anyone of our friends or family in need of mortgage financing.

Worst company ever. Huge PITA to deal with anytime I have to call. Sold my house and would not release information to the title company. Would not fax it to them when I called and asked them to do that. Tons of stupid rules. They said I have to get the title company on the phone at the same time as me to release any information for an account I OWN. They had to mail it to me and told me it would take 10 business days. Even my title company said these people are annoying to deal with. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Stupidity has no bounds with Nationstar. I am extremely annoyed with this company. When BoA sold my account to them they were so late in sending my payment information that I almost didn't make the payment on time. I send checks because I would not trust them with an automated payment. That is how crooked these people are.

the county sent out the tax bill in August not due till December. they paid the tax bill from the escrow account immediately on receipt of the bill **4 months early**, causing an escrow shortage. they then raised my bill by $120 per month to make up for the storage they created.

they are a clueless large company unable to apply common sense.

I would like to sincerely thank RONNIE FRIEDMAN and her closing Coordinator /processor Valencia Dennis for a job well done!.

Ronnie & Valencia have been incredible throughout the entire refinance process.
They had been very patient, professional and very straightforward which is so so important when going through any such process.

Without going into detail, Ronnie really went out of her way to match a better deal i was offered elsewhere and keep me a very happy customer. Thank you!
Ronnie I know you got me the best deal on the market ;)

I have dealt with quite a few mortgage officers & processors in the past several years and Nationstar/Greenlight should be very proud to have Ronnie and Valencia on board with them.

I worked with Michael Deng and Tina Nguyen at Nationstar Mortgage on refinancing my home and was very happy with the results. My situation was more complicated than most and they worked with me every step of the way. On top of that, Nationstar lowered my interest rate and worked it where I had to bring very little cash to the closing table. Thank You Michael and Tina!

I'm trying to buy a house with another lender and I think I will lose it because NationStar has incorrectly reported to the credit agencies that I was late on a payment . . . when I never have had a late payment. I was finally able to get them to issue a letter with a promise to fix the incorrect reporting . . . but they never did fix it and it will probably result in me not being able to buy a new home. I can't tell you how angry I am that Bank of America sold my loan to these incompetent idiots.

The worse mortgage company that we have ever seen or dealt with. Surely might be easy to get in and get approved, but once you try working with them (customer service) it is the most unethical and worse company that we have ever dealt with. Examples: holding checks from insurance company for MONTHS, poor customer service, etc.

I just completed a refinance with GreenLight/Nationstar and both Chris Melrose and Carolyn Reyes were great! My BOA mortgage was sold to Nationstar a few years ago, it was a seamless transition. I suspected the equity in my home had increased substantially due to the market here but wasn't sure just how much. I decided to refinance to lower my monthly payment but ended up cashing out quite a bit of equity to pay off existing debt instead. Although we began the process with the goal of reducing my monthly payments, Chris and Carolyn easily switched gears and re-worked my loan to cash-out equity once the appraisal was completed. Communication was excellent. When I voiced concerns, Chris was quick to reach out to me via telephone. Carolyn made the final approval process easy and efficient. A notary came to my house for closing 10 days ago and I received my loan proceeds check last Friday. The entire process was completed via email and online! So easy!

Not one employee that I have spoken to in over a year understands their job. Imagine your mortgage company not paying your insurance on time causing your insurance to go past due. Imagine multiple reps from your mortgage company telling you the got a bill for the insurance, and that's what they paid but the bill their reading is last years bill. And they lie about documents they claim they received from the county. If you have the option, a class of 4th graders would be a better option for you to have your mortgage managed. Do not do business with this company.

I have proof of my payments being processed, but I can't get past their collections robo call center. They refuse to give you an option to speak to a human being. Infuriating!!! They can't process payments, and they won't talk to you. How are they still in business???

What a great experience! We recently purchased a home with a mortgage from Greenlight Loans. Could not have been happier with the service received from Kesslie Rabanal and Christopher Schmidt. The daunting task of purchasing our first home was made easier with the knowledgable and professional staff of Greenlight. They were very quick to answer all our questions and guide us through the whole process. I will be highly recommending them to the next family member or friend that is looking for a mortgage.

Nationstar obtained my mortgage in 2010, not long after i bought my house in 2009. Anytime i've ever had to call about anything, anyone i spoke to was always so nice and friendly. They don't hassle. Their site is easy to navigate. When it comes time for us to purchase a home again, i'll definitely be looking to Nationstar. :-) This was my first home, and we will be handing it over to a new buyer in a few days. Makes me kind of sad. Thanks for all you do! I'm sure you don't hear that enough.

Excellent Customer Service, Execution and Follow Through
We had the best experience working with Greenlight Loans, a Division of Nationstar. Jesse Sosa exhibits the compassion, personal attention and old school customer service that are often a thing of the past. We had multiple challenges on our end to overcome, and if not for the hard work of Noemy Hamilton, we would not have been able to close our loan. It was refreshing to work with a team that truly cared about our situation and challenges and were committed to helping us reach our goal.

I was saddened when First Tennessee Home Loans transferred my mortgage to Nationstar, each time I contacted them I received crappy service. Either my concerns were not handled to my satisfaction or they were completely ignored. I finally decided to refinance, I dreaded making the phone call due to past experiences. I'm still in total disbelief concerning the wonderfully empathetic, friendly personality I was blessed to encounter in my Loan Officer June C. King. I had never been treated so well by anyone representing Nationstar. In our first conversation, she demonstrated her knowledge, professionalism, and her ability to give me the best service and interest rate attainable. During the course of our dealings, she gave me a secure feeling of trust, I felt very confident that she had my best interest at heart. Before this refinance experience, I would have never mentioned Nationstar to anyone, but because of the warm genuine personality of a true "people's person", I will very highly recommend Nationstar. Thanks Ms. King, kudos to you, job very well done. I will never forget you for the care and concern you gave to just another voice.

HORRIBLE. Wow, just found out by snail mail that my "escrow amount changed and my last payment was not enough to be applied, account in suspension" This is the kind of 'customer service' that the nations leader of an excuse for customer service generate. Maria Yazdani was easy to talk to and was very professional. She answered all the questions I had about refinancing and explained everything clearly so I could understand every last detail. Not to metion, getting me into the length and interest rate I wanted with this new loan. Was given a modification loan with stipulations of a trial period plan. Paid my mortgage on the first as I have for the past 8 years. They withheld my payment and now have cancelled the trial period due to late payments. This company is a farce. No way to contact corporate, only can reach incompetent customer service representative. I would advise if you have a loan with Nation star, try to have re-financed with another mortgage company. How can a company not have a compliance department for issues, without anyway to reach them other than email, which is never answered. Pray to God for deliverance.

They are crooked and liars. They hold you up and delay you. I asked for a payoff on my home loan a week ago since I just found out they bought the loan from BAC. They said they could not give a payoff until it was in their system which would be on 6/10/13. The Title company called on 6/10/13 with my written permission on 6/10/13 and were told they could not give a payoff until some restriction was off the account. I called and they asked me why I was paying it off, I told them it was none of their business and I could not get a payoff for 3 to 5 days. I got a supervisor and got the runaround that they had to check the figures out. This is the age of computers. Give me a break, they can have it in seconds. They are holding me up for interest.

To my surprise our refinance went very well and quickly. Thanks to the staff we dealt with, Jason Osteen and George Lopez were both very understanding at my apprehension of doing everything on line. They were polite and professional, explaining everything in detail and patiently explained again when I called back for a refresher. I could not have imagined such a smooth transaction. My first call was made around Dec 10,2014 and with appraisal and everything, Jan 9, 2015 a notary, Karin Medlin also extremely professional was sent to our home with all the paperwork which we signed. I sent a check with balance we owed and Jan13,2015 all is completely done. We are very pleased with the service Nationstar provided beginning to end. Thank you especially to Jason Osteen and George Lopez for all your help.

I am also one of those unlucky families whose mort...

I am also one of those unlucky families whose mortgage was sold from Bank of America to Nationstar.

I have been paying my monthly mortgage payments on time for 10 years to Bank of America and to an average of 7 credit cards for 15 years. Recently on Nov 1, 2013, Bank of America sold my loan to Nationstar Mortgage. My payments were programmed to be paid automatically inside of Bank of America Billpay system. Starting on Nov 1, 2013, Bank of America stopped processing my payments and I was not aware of this decision until I read a letter from Nationstar which I received at the middle of November.

After being diligent of making my payments on time with Bank of America for 10 years, I firmly believe that is unfair that my credit history and score gets enormously affected due to this internal decision agreed between Bank of America and Nationstar. My credit score was affected with the argument that I was 2 months behind my payment. This is extremely unfair due to the following reasons:

1.-My monthly payments were programmed to be paid on time inside of Bank of America. I had the necessary funds in my bank of account to support the programmed payments. Based on this, I firmly believe that I am showing responsibility and my intention to have the payments to be paid on time.
2.-The letter sent by Nationstar gives an opportunity to many misinterpretations:
a) Letter said I had a window of 60 days to start making the payments directly to Nationstar. I always pay on the 5th of every month so if the loan was transferred on November, I thought I had until January 5, 2014 for making a payment. This is the reason why I paid on January 3rd the payment for November and December.

I hope that someone can help me by determining that a report of being 2 months behind my mortgage payments is an enormously unfair judgment based on my credit history and for the reasons that I am describing above. Please help me to delete this unfair report which is greatly affecting my business. If anyone who can open my report, he/she will be able to see my behavior on making payments on time for so many years. And if I maintain a high ratio of using most of the credit lines available, that is because I use that credit to operate my business in real estate.

They are a predatory lender. The loan and then several modifications they gave us have made it where we will never pay them off. They have made nothing but intrest on us and added money any opportunity they can, like when we did any modifications they charge as many fees as possible. I really like working with Greenlight as a lender!...

I really like working with Greenlight as a lender! As a self-employed person getting a loan is not the easiest thing to do, so many hoops and conditions to get thru and the industry (loaning/banking) always makes it so difficult.

The two people Paul Lee -Agent and Carla Saetia- Processor were very upfront, professional extremely friendly and they work with you and stay ahead of issues or concerns as they come.

Paul took the time to break down every detail of the loan (s), the 30 yr,15yr and pretty much what to expect (and he was 100% accurate) his upfrontness and his knowledge of his products never allowed me to second guess what he was speaking about, and I truly loved the 0 fee s as it was advertised

Carla Saetia is a Great communicator and her knowledge of the industry and how she was able to work with the underwriters and I still cannot believe that it is here a new loan and it took less than 3 weeks.

Green light is the company of the year in my book it was simple, painless and I now pay less every month .

Thank you all for your hard TEAM work to make this happen

When we paid off our mortgage it was November. So I called prior to paying off to let them know I was paying it off and to request that they go ahead and send the property tax payment (plenty of money in escrow).

They denied the request.

I called back to see what the hold up was early December and they told me they were going to send me the money so I set up for them to electronically transfer the money to my bank.

I just got the check in the mail.

I'm not sure if they are incompetent or just really bad at customer service.

I am frustrated and disappointed in the way Mr. Cooper-HR has been handling my situation regarding my husband's W2 form. Let me provide you with a bit of a background: He is a former employee and he is currently overseas in Afghanistan where he isn't able to make phone calls due to reception. The ONLY way we are able to communicate is via text. He has emailed the HR department regarding non receipt of his W2 form due to change of address. I contacted the HR department on his behalf so that they can email him a temporary access link (Ticket#0582597) and they also informed me that my husband would receive this email within 3-5 business days. **This was on Monday morning February 18th** Today is Tuesday, February 26th and he still did not receive an email. I contacted Mr. Cooper HR and was advised that no information can be provided to me because my call was "not secure". While I do not know what they meant by that, I informed them that I was not asking for any information. I just want them to send the link to my husband so we can finally retrieve his W2 form. She informed me that his local HR has a ticket submitted, but they have to speak with him directly. Again, I informed them that my husband is overseas in Afghanistan and cannot speak on the phone, not because he doesn't want to, but because he can't. When I requested to have the number for his "local HR office" they refused to give me the number...literally. Again, the excuse that this call is "not secure" was used. After asking to speak with a supervisor, I was informed that none were available (of course) and that I will receive a call within 24-48 business hours. I am stressed out and feeling hopeless at this point. What do I have to do? We were married before he ever joined Mr. Cooper...do I need to email you our marriage certificate? My husband is never going to call because he CAN'T. This is extremely dissapointing on how I am being treated. I am already having a difficult time with him being in Afghanistan and now I am being treated by Mr. Cooper as an irrelevant spouse with no access to OUR information. Can you please assist me? I have all of my calls recorded so I can forward everything to you along with the emails my husband has sent. His name is Yordan Pardo and my name is Angelica Cruz.

Most mortgage companies, I think, remain pretty invisible in the 'day to day' of home ownership. And Mr. Cooper, formerly Nationstar, was too... That is until they sold my loan to another mortgage company.

They sent me my usual statement, which sat on the counter until the following payday, when I wrote the check and put the payment in the post... around the 22nd of the month. A day or two later, I received a letter from them informing me that my loan had been sold and that my December payment would need to be sent to Wells Fargo.

Well, since the payment had already been sent there wasn't much I could do... so I called. I was informed that they would either forward the check to Wells Fargo, or return it to me. Why they couldn't tell me which course of action they would take was never made clear, in spite of my questioning them on that matter. Nor could they adequately explain why, if the loan was being sold, did they send me a statement for December's payment!

So now, I'm waiting for this check to clear... having to make sure that I reserve the funds in my checking account on the off chance that instead of sending the check to me, Mr. Cooper has sent it to Wells Fargo. Which means I could be waiting weeks... months... for this check to clear.

If my mortgage company is going to be less than invisible in the 'day to day' of home ownership, I'd prefer that they not make my life more difficult in the process.

Lastly, Mr. Cooper's Yelp reviews are very different from what I'm reading here on Google. If you're considering using them as your mortgage company you would do well to read what customers on Yelp have to say.

I had made the decision to refinance my home and after receiving many offer letters from multiple companies, I selected Greenlight Loans. I felt comfortable using them as they are a division associated with Nationstar.

Wesley Ogrodowicz and Shawn Jones-Brown were assigned to my account and they were extremely helpful and made this experience seem relatively simple and quick.

I am extremely happy with my decision to use Greenlight Loans and will recommend the Company as well as Wesley and Shawn to anyone I know who is considering refinancing.

If you had any business dealing with Nationstar Mortgage then you have experienced frustrations to the highest level. They place you on hold for well over an hour then connect you with a poor speaking person who whisper on the phone. Their customer service person cannot solve your problem and if you ask to speak with a manager or a person specifically with a department then they place you on hold and the process repeats!! I am getting rid of them immediately and never deal with such an unprofessional company again!

Just refinanced, had Madelyn Nguyen and Joseph Ruiz working with me on the Refi. They were quick to answer any questions and kept me up to date with the refi process. I expected there to be some frustration and headache, but the whole process went smooth and any real frustration at all. I appreciate working with the professional, knowledgeable staff at Nationstar/Greenlight.

If I could give this company a negative star I would . The website doesn't function as it should - I have tried to send a message for 3 days , it will not submit . ( not the first time this has happened ) .
I would NEVER willingly finance with this company . Their employees are uninformed and I have been lied to several times regarding the nature of my loan- After spending hours being transferred and on hold . They care more about sending you advertisements than actual customer care and service .
BEWARE and DO NOT finance anything with this company .

Hands down the worst mortgage company I have ever dealt with. They lose our checks all the time stating that it is the united states postal that is at fault. I make a payment over the phone and the very next day the check that they stated they didn't have in their possession hits my bank!!! Are you kidding me. The customer rep blamed their automated system. Your automated system is not the one who assured me my check was not in your possession!!
