Me and my wife traded in our 2011 Forester for a brand new 2015 model. We can't be more pleased with the results.

I had been going to Mike Shaw Subaru in Thornton for all of our service over the last 3 years. The people I met in the service department are friendly and not pushy, it's because of this I wanted to see what the dealership could do once it was time to return our lease.

The sales experience here was awesome. Cliff was our sales rep and he answered all of my questions and I didn't feel hustled at all. He genuinely just wanted to find the right car for us. I showed up first thing in the morning and I was out the door with our new Subaru before noon. This was truely the best car buying experience I have ever had. This is our third Forester and Mike Shaw has a customer for life!

Great customer service before the sale, but poor customer service after the sale. I purchased a Subaru Forrester from this dealership in June. After we had signed all of the paperwork, I recieved a call from somebody asking to "come to my house, so that I could the sign the title." Seems that they misplaced the title when were at the dealership, but I wasn't quite sure what to do at the time or who this actual person was. So, like any customer, I tried contacting Mike Shaw Subaru several times with the receptionist clueless on where to send me. I asked for the Finance dept, left a message, and received no follow up. Left a mesage for my sales guy, no follow up either. So, I'm guessing that after the sale, customers just dont matter here. Needless to say, I did sign the title with the representative who contacted me in the first place. She was very professional and did her job, but the other employees I worked with were not. Maybe I should have taken my business to Toyota.

Took the morning to do some research online and found Mike Shaw to have a terrific inventory. I asked a few questions on the website and Randon answered super fast. They are super helpful and don't try to up-sell you when you come in. The use of their fleet as loaner cars makes it simple and worry-free to drop off your car for an extended amount of time without being locked to the waiting room.

Our experience at Mike Shaw Subaru with Cliff Swaim is top notch every time we have purchased (3 leases now...our 4th Subaru total!!! The three most recent and future Subarus we have had were obtained at Mike Shaw Subaru) and we have not considered going anywhere else since meeting Cliff!!! Our whole family has visited and purchased at Mike Shaw Subaru from Cliff. The process is an ease; and while this might not be the norm or desired situation for people (but it is for me), I can get in and out of the dealership completing my purchase within about 2 hours MAX....this last time seemed even shorter! It's not like the place is bad to visit or I wouldn't want to stay. It's an awesome environment inside and out! The USED lot has a lot to choose from but I'm so happy we get to pick from the numerous Subarus every time!!! However, our car always kinda picks us. The same week that we completed our last purchase I sent my brother-in-law and sister in to see Cliff. They purchased a couple of cars and ate BBQ food! Yep...they had the ultimate experience at Mike Shaw Subaru. Dine and dash away in your new car!!! I recommend Mike Shaw Subaru as well as the fun-loving, relaxed yet classy service offered by Cliff...a million times over!!!

Vehicle went in for warranty work and recall, went in with splash plate/skid plate and came out without one. Tried contacting them and they didn t take me seriously. Finally they agreed to look into the issue but never got back to me even after I asked for an update a couple days later. I won t be going back for future services.

We were told our Subaru would be ready late Friday or early Saturday morning, so we drove the 15miles to pick up our car only to find it was not done. (We tried to call first, but never got to the service dept.) So we drove home again after being told it would be ready by 1:00. We asked them to call to let us know when it was done, but by 4:00 we hadn't heard anything so we called again, and were told it was finished!! Not good follow through!!!!

We were on a road trip from Texas and my Forester started idling roughly while decelerating. This shop was the only one who could look at it right away. Stephen knew exactly what was wrong after asking a few questions, and explained what was needed. Turns out it was a dirty throttle body after the battery has recently died. $100 for diagnostics AND repair, unlike another shop who wanted to takey transmission apart. Happy with my service!

After work I picked up my car and the repairs had been made. Tim went above and beyond to make sure the repairs were made in a timely fashion and overall it was a great experience.

Very poor diagnosis! They said the problem was my cat converter, when I argued it with them explaining I just had a brand new one put on it, they blamed my spark plugs. They failed to tell me there are 2 on my car!! Its the one I didn't replace. Then they failed to tell me about my air bag being on the recall list! As well as 2 other recalls! Won't be going back. Won't recommend.

I don't trust Subaru of America or this dealership. Been bringing my 2015 Subaru Forester to Mike Shaw for 50K+ miles now. Not a word was mentioned about it leaking oil. All of a sudden, our dashboard lit up like Christmas lights. Subaru only warranties their vehicles up to 60,000 (for good reason). Mike Shaw wanted $4,000+ to fix this faulty vehicle do to a 2015 Forester leaking oil, how sad. They told me to contact Subaru of America to see if they would help, who told me to basically kick rocks and offered me $750 towards another faulty Subaru. No thank you. This will be me last Subaru. My advice to you is to buy a vehicle with a real warranty.

Edited for changed circumstances: When we initially went in to purchase our Subaru we had a great experience. We were in and out in a timely manner with excellent customer service. HOWEVER, Mike Shaw Subaru did not file our paperwork correctly. They asked us to drive up from Colorado Springs to redo all of our paperwork. Luckily, I convinced them to Fedex the paperwork so my husband and I did not have to lose an entire day of work. Also, when I went to the DMV to register my car, they had not received my paperwork yet. So I either had to wait for them to process the paperwork or extend my temporary plates for something that was not my fault. What should have been a painless process became much more complicated. While everyone was friendly at Mike Shaw, I just wish they had done all the paperwork correctly so we didn t have to deal with all these headaches.

I decided to avoid the Subaru dealership closer to where I live and drove an extra 30 minutes after reading better reviews and experiencing better email communication at Mike Shaw. The process was easy, no hard selling or numbers games. We went through a simple, straightforward negotiation based on my expectations and then we had a deal. Cliff allowed me to look over options at my leisure and answered all questions that I had. It never felt like he was looking at the clock or not taking my questions seriously. I received a fair deal and was given personalized attention from start to finish. I would highly recommend Cliff and Mike Shaw to anyone looking for a great buying experience.

Advice to anyone getting work done to their car at this place.. GO TO ANOTHER SHOP, DON'T RISK IT, YOU COULD END UP PAYING A LOT OF MONEY FOR SOMETHING THAT WILL BREAK IN A MATTER OF DAYS, OR END UP WITH MORE PROBLEMS THEN YOU HAD TO BEGIN WITH!!!!! I had to take my 2008 WRX in for it's 100,000 mile service (timing belt, fuel filter, fuel injectors) They called, and said that my radiator was corroded and leaking a bit.. So we had them change it, but the OEM radiator was on back order, and they couldn't tell us how long it would be to get it in, so we listened to Dustin (service rep.) and had them put a Sun (after market radiator) in. Three days later the hose running from my transmission blew off and leaked tranny fluid all over my driveway. We took the car back in, got a loaner, and they said that they would take care of it and when i got my car back it shouldn't be a problem... Three days after i got my car back IT BLEW AGAIN!!!!. this time they had my car for 7 days, i got another loaner. They finally got my OEM radiator in, and installed it...During the time of service They used an entire tank of gas "test driving" it, and said they weren't responsible for filling it back up... okay i thought, as long as my car works the way its suppose to.... Now this is when we start having problems. Ive been driving my car for a few days now, and I'm starting to notice small things are happening. A. they screwed with my boost (which used to kick in at 2500 rpms, and now its kicking in at 3500) I can barely feel it kick in which is making me think that they also screwed with the amount of boost its producing... then i was driving to work, and noticed that my steering felt way to loose even though i have the stiffening bar and my car was pulling me to the right, so i took a look at it, and found a decent sized scrape (I mean a pretty big scrape, it was obvious he had done something) underneath my bumper which means that the Tech either bottomed out my car, or hit something during the test drive, and caused more damage and didnt bother to say a word, because he knew he would be responsible for fixing it....OKAY, LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT... A ROUTINE 100,000 MILE SERVICE ENDED UP BEING 2500+ DOLLARS WORTH OF WORK, 3 RADIATORS, 2 LOANERS, 3 WEEKS, AND 2 MORE PROBLEMS I STILL HAVE YET TO GET A QUOTE ON ( i cant wait to see what that's going to cost. I'm honestly scared of finding out exactly what is wrong). This is ridiculous on a completely new level. Dustin the service person i worked with seemed like a nice guy, but after all of this i think he was just feeding me untrue stories to save his own ass in the end. Also, this is obviously a result of CARELESSNESS on the technicians part. My car was working fine until i let them toy with it. After all of this I AM NEVER TAKING MY CAR BACK TO THAT SHOP AGAIN!!!! Also Dustin was obviously so busy that he started giving me attitude, and you could tell that he really didn't care about me, my car, or the experience i had (excuse me, but do you think i enjoy being here every 3 days??) I know that if i try and get them to fix the damages to my car they will just ask me to prove that it was them, and there is absolutely no way anyone could prove that. maybe the tuning, but not the steering problem. All i can say is that i will be going back there on Monday to talk to the service manager and tell him what is going on. ill fix my car that's fine but you have people that obviously have absolutely no respect for their customers cars.

I have been going to Mike Shaw since I bought my 2011 legacy from them, I have always been very pleased with the service I have received there, but 1 employee has always stood out Stephen Cadwallader, I have had him help me on several occasions and now I only deal with him when my car is being serviced he has gone above and beyond when helping me. I've never received such great service from anywhere like I have from Stephen. Mike Shaw you are very lucky to have him on your staff!!

I've been to a bunch of dealerships before and always felt like they were trying to scam me/they were always so pushy to make a sale that they forgot about customer service. I was helped by a nice guy Jon Hoheisel (sorry if I spelled your last name wrong Jon) such a nice guy who really cared and helped me pick out the best car for me. Will definitely be coming back to Jon for my next car and I've already told my friends about this place.

Good enough for an oil change... Purchasing my WRX was a terrible experience... incompetent salesman losing my financial information. Constantly getting calls every few months from salesman trying to get me to upgrade. Ignorant technicians scratched my rims 1st few times bringing it in for service... Management literally witnessed it and still did not offer compensation for repairs. Almost every time I bring it in there's new scratches or damage to my exterior.

The room where children are supposed to play, while dealing with the car buying process is absolutely gross. For such a small room I can t believe it could be so hard to clean and keep nice. I ve been into this dealership multiple times since buying my car, and it is always disgusting. I don t even let my daughter touch the toys. The carpet is stained and covered in dirt/debris. All the toys are visibly dirty, and the walls are covered in crayon.

From my first phone call to getting back into my car after the service was complete, my service advisor, Mitchell, was kind, friendly, and very knowledgeable about what was going to be done. I scheduled the 60K maintenance (the largest maintenance for the life of the vehicle). I was prepared with prices, a complete list of what was to be done and timing. I will absolutely be continuing my business with Mike Shaw and Mitch. A great experience and now my baby is ready for the next 60K!

We wanted to buy a used Subaru Forester and we looked online. We found a 2013 Forester at a great price at Mike Shaw Subaru in Thornton, CO. We met Keith Traczynski our salesman who took us for a test drive. We really liked the car and made the purchase that day. He followed up with calls for a few days to see if everything was OK and it was. Two months later we had some minor issues with our air conditioner and rear brakes so we went to their service dept. to get things checked. They treated us very well and made repairs while we waited. Keith talked with us and followed up. We highly recommend Keith Traczynski when you're shopping for a Subaru and we will return to their service dept. when needed in the future.

Called today about leasing a car and the guy I spoke with didn't really know much, kept saying he had to talk to his manager, then said he would call me back in a half hour and I haven't heard anything since. I bought our 2017 outback in Tucson before moving to the Denver area in January 2018. I took the car in to Shaw Subaru for the six months oil change and tire rotation. I also asked that they replace a missing fastener for the plastic molding on the tailgate ($0.10 part that takes 30 seconds to install). It took over an hour for them to complete the scheduled maintenance, and when we got the car back, they hadn t replaced the missing fastener. That took another half hour, and then they tried to charge me for it, claiming that it wasn t covered by our extended warranty. I Realize that I didn t buy the car from that dealership; however, with that kind of service, I don t know that I ever will buy a car from that dealership.

Had my car towed over night to Mike Shaw Subaru with what I thought was a blown clutch. I live in Colorado Springs and had to rent a car while they were servicing my car. Not only was the customer service excellent and communication was great. Their service dept. stayed late on a Thursday night to finish my car so I could have it by Friday to save me in rental fees and allow me to get my car before the weather came in. Next time I buy a Subaru (which I will), will be purchasing from Mike Shaw Subaru. Thank you everyone!

Austin Elzinga was the ideal salesman for me. I did a ton of homework before visiting the dealership, then did some more after the first visit. On the second visit, I knew which of two cars on the lot were right for me. I also knew exactly what I was willing to pay prior to the second visit. Austin took my initial offer to his sales manager, but we were still several hundred dollars apart. I decided to increase my offer very slightly. Austin was able to sell that second offer to his manager.

I got exactly the car I wanted for only slightly more than I wanted to pay. There were no games, tricks or contention. This is how car buying should be. Thanks Austin!

Overall good experience when buying my used car from them. However, when it came time to register my car, I did not receive any paperwork/title from them until after my temporary plates had expired. I was forced to call the title department three times until someone finally answered and over-night shipped my title to me. (still after I had to go to the DMV and pay for an extension on my plates--though the dealership did refund me the cost) I am disappointed at whoever dropped the ball in filing paperwork and that they could not do the correct work on their end without being reminded by the buyer.

I was referred by a coworker to get my car serviced here after I wasn't feeling the best about the previous Subaru dealership I was going to. I had an amazing experience. My service advisor, Beth, was awesome. She was super honest with me with recommendations that came back about my car. Recently, I had a very disappointing experience with Mike Shaw Subaru. I drive 2012 Subaru Legacy and when I started hearing intermittent screeching sound from the brakes, I took my car to them to get it repaired.

After diagnosis, I was told everything related to brakes looked alright and that they had cleaned the brake dust. I took my car home and just after a day or so I started hearing the same sound from the brakes. So, I took my car to them again and this time they told me that they would need to resurface rotors which I agreed upon thinking maybe it would fix the problem. But it did not. I spent nearly $250 altogether and I still hear the same noise.

It felt like they were trying/experimenting hit and trial process where you ask people to repair something that you are not sure of whether it would actually fix the real problem.

I got the service follow up email from the Service Manager to which I replied explaining above. I did not hear anything back which was really shocking as I did not know that the follow up email would turn out to be just a formality. I also got a text message from them to which I replied explaining above . I got a reply saying, they will inform my service advisor.

I did not hear anything back for couple days. I wrote an email to the Service Advisor and he wanted me to schedule another appointment to get the issue fixed. I told him that I was ready for another appointment and maybe would repair what they would tell me this time, only if they refunded me what I paid until now. I think it makes sense because nobody wants to replace/repair unnecessary things and pay for it when it actually did not fix the problem. I was skeptical because what if this time they would tell me to replace/repair some 'X' and it's possible that it won't solve the problem either. I did not hear anything back from them in couple days anyways.

I know sometimes things may not go right and some issues are harder to fix. Just a tiny bit of good response from them would have been a good gesture towards customers.

I just wasted my time, money and energy at this place where they don't value customer satisfaction.

Test drove a 2018 WRX, it's a nice car we were just expecting a little more "car" for the price. Everyone was nice, it was a nice experience. Just felt like the car was over priced for what ya get.
