Advice to anyone getting work done to their car at...
Advice to anyone getting work done to their car at this place.. GO TO ANOTHER SHOP, DON'T RISK IT, YOU COULD END UP PAYING A LOT OF MONEY FOR SOMETHING THAT WILL BREAK IN A MATTER OF DAYS, OR END UP WITH MORE PROBLEMS THEN YOU HAD TO BEGIN WITH!!!!! I had to take my 2008 WRX in for it's 100,000 mile service (timing belt, fuel filter, fuel injectors) They called, and said that my radiator was corroded and leaking a bit.. So we had them change it, but the OEM radiator was on back order, and they couldn't tell us how long it would be to get it in, so we listened to Dustin (service rep.) and had them put a Sun (after market radiator) in. Three days later the hose running from my transmission blew off and leaked tranny fluid all over my driveway. We took the car back in, got a loaner, and they said that they would take care of it and when i got my car back it shouldn't be a problem... Three days after i got my car back IT BLEW AGAIN!!!!. this time they had my car for 7 days, i got another loaner. They finally got my OEM radiator in, and installed it...During the time of service They used an entire tank of gas "test driving" it, and said they weren't responsible for filling it back up... okay i thought, as long as my car works the way its suppose to.... Now this is when we start having problems. Ive been driving my car for a few days now, and I'm starting to notice small things are happening. A. they screwed with my boost (which used to kick in at 2500 rpms, and now its kicking in at 3500) I can barely feel it kick in which is making me think that they also screwed with the amount of boost its producing... then i was driving to work, and noticed that my steering felt way to loose even though i have the stiffening bar and my car was pulling me to the right, so i took a look at it, and found a decent sized scrape (I mean a pretty big scrape, it was obvious he had done something) underneath my bumper which means that the Tech either bottomed out my car, or hit something during the test drive, and caused more damage and didnt bother to say a word, because he knew he would be responsible for fixing it....OKAY, LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT... A ROUTINE 100,000 MILE SERVICE ENDED UP BEING 2500+ DOLLARS WORTH OF WORK, 3 RADIATORS, 2 LOANERS, 3 WEEKS, AND 2 MORE PROBLEMS I STILL HAVE YET TO GET A QUOTE ON ( i cant wait to see what that's going to cost. I'm honestly scared of finding out exactly what is wrong). This is ridiculous on a completely new level. Dustin the service person i worked with seemed like a nice guy, but after all of this i think he was just feeding me untrue stories to save his own ass in the end. Also, this is obviously a result of CARELESSNESS on the technicians part. My car was working fine until i let them toy with it. After all of this I AM NEVER TAKING MY CAR BACK TO THAT SHOP AGAIN!!!! Also Dustin was obviously so busy that he started giving me attitude, and you could tell that he really didn't care about me, my car, or the experience i had (excuse me, but do you think i enjoy being here every 3 days??) I know that if i try and get them to fix the damages to my car they will just ask me to prove that it was them, and there is absolutely no way anyone could prove that. maybe the tuning, but not the steering problem. All i can say is that i will be going back there on Monday to talk to the service manager and tell him what is going on. ill fix my car that's fine but you have people that obviously have absolutely no respect for their customers cars.
