From test drive to sale we had an efficient and fair experience. We researched 20+ makes/models, filtered down to half a dozen and test drove 3 (Toyota, Honda, Subaru). We connected with Eric Grimm on phone before we arrived, he had a car waiting for us to drive, we even confirmed pricing before we arrived so there were no surprises. Eric was highly knowledgeable from model details to process, to getting us through the buying process quickly, which is important to us. Great prices, great cars, great customer experience. Randon Givens was fantastic to work with. He listened, presented the right options, and was low pressure. He was very educational and helped my decision making through the whole process, respecting our timeline and short time frames. I have struggled to buy cars and have previously shut down the whole process due to too much pressure/pushiness.

I started with USAA car buying service with a few different makes and came back to Subaru and ultimately Mike Shaw for the features and value of the vehicle as well as feeling that we would be dealt with honestly and efficiently.

The people here actually know their stuff, they are more then happy to help to keep the customer satisfied and they actually want to build customer relationships and NOT just get you in and take your money and kick you out like any other plain dealership. Matt at the service desk was great! I dropped by (without an appointment) to have my tire looked at because my air pressure light kept going on even after I filled it. There were a bunch of people already there so I said if they couldn t take me I understood, but Matt said they could look it over and he noticed I had an appointment in July and he was able to combine both things while I was there! Saved me a ton a time and effort and Mike Shaw Subaru fixed everything! Thank you Matt and Mike Shaw Subaru!!

We just bought a used Subaru from Nathan Hatton and he was awesome! He worked with us over the course of a week providing us updates when we needed them, but gave us space to take our time. Nate's also so knowledgeable about Subarus and was quick to answer all our questions about the differences between models.

I came in for express service in April and they fixed the brake light switch recall during that time for my Subaru. In June, I started having issues with the brake lights not turning off/turning on by themselves even when my car was off (resulting in a drained battery as well), and some issues with the ABS while driving. I called Mike Shaw Subaru and explained the issue- the lady who answered from the service department did not understand what I was telling her that I felt there was an issue with the brake light switch and offered me an appointment 3 weeks out. I asked to speak to a service manager, she took my number and said someone would call me but I never received a phone call. I called another Subaru dealership and they immediately knew the issue was the brake light switch and said they would be able to see me the next morning. When I got it fixed the next day, they had said the mechanics at Mike Shaw Subaru had incorrectly installed the part which had been causing the issues. I normally had good experiences here but after this, I do not think I will be using Mike Shaw Subaru for car service again.

I have a Subaru covered by a maintenence plan from the dealership. I had to get a tire replaced and when bringing my car in for its next routine maintenance, I addressed to my service technician that my car was pulling to the side since my new tire and making a weird noise. I wanted to make sure my car was okay and balanced. They told me everything looked great. 9 months later I have two destroyed tires and a broken rim due to my car being unaligned since my new tire was put on. The dealership now wants to charge $500 to fix my car. They have no notes at my last visit of my concerns though I am absolutely positive I brought up the issues. It was the biggest reason why I bought my car in at that time. They never checked alignment at my first visit when I complained about it and now I'm supposed to pay for damages the dealership allowed to happen due to negligent technicians. They offered no help in costs and the dealership took no blame for their carelessness.

Thank you to the Service Department! This is the first experience with this dealership and I will continue to make the drive up here for exceptional service! As you all know going to a dealership can have it worries but they made all my worries go away! Kudos again!

I brought my car in to have my AC checked because ...

I brought my car in to have my AC checked because it was sometimes cold, sometimes warm, would occasionally make noises, and just needed some attention. Diagnoses for ACs usually take some time and I had another appointment 3 hours from the time I arrived at Subaru. They worked with me within my schedule and were able to determine the issue. From there, they got everything figured out so I could come back in the next day to have it repaired so I wouldn't miss my other appointment.
I was really impressed with how much they took my schedule into account and worked hard to find the problem before I had to leave. Once they found the issue, they answered all of my questions and explained everything in a way that would make sense to someone who doesn't work on cars everyday.
Not to mention, they have a nice waiting area with several types of seating depending on what you're in the mood for. There was free coffee and water, a vending machine, and even a play area for kids. It made it easy to get comfortable and read a book, work on a laptop, etc. while waiting.
Overall, great experience!

My family and I worked with Cliff & Greg on the latest transaction (our family has been loyal customers of Mike Shaw Subaru for many years). The initial conversations and test-driving were done w/ Greg, and he is both very competent and extremely friendly. Knows a lot about the vehicles. When it came time to start negotiations, both Cliff & Greg were tough salesmen, but once we reached a deal, there was nothing but warmth and friendliness, doing everything they could to make things convenient for us customers, tying up all loose ends.

If a Subaru is what I or any friends/family are looking for, Mike Shaw is the place I'm pointing to. Actually, Subarus are great vehicles - I'd point to Mike Shaw for vehicle recommendations anyway.

I recently leased a new vehicle from Mike Shaw Subaru and I couldn t be happier with the car and the experience. I worked with Randon in sales who was extremely knowledgeable, and very helpful getting me the price I wanted for the car I wanted. He answered all of my questions accurately, and seemingly without even thinking about it. He is clearly very well educated on the vehicles he sells, and I appreciate that level of commitment. He told me examples of using the features his forester shares with the crosstrek, and the best part is he didn t make me feel pressured at any point in the sale. He told me about the extra service and security packages that I was curious about, and didn t shove every offer they had down my throat since he knew I wouldn t be interested in all of them. The finance person I worked with was also extremely efficient, and got me in and out which was a blessing. Unfortunately I don t remember that gentleman s name, probably because he got me in and out so fast haha, but for any management interested, I m sure Randon could point you in his direction. Thank you Randon, and the entire Mike Shaw team for making a historically overly complicated task so quick and easy. Couldn t recommend Mike Shaw enough to anyone in the market for a Subaru in the Denver/Boulder area.

My, BF works outside of the country and never drives his car, so, he gave me power of attorney to try and sell it. I tried to sell his WRX to Mike Shaw; I had the power of attorney and all required documentation, but they told me it wasn't enough. It is their right not to purchase a car, I don't begrudge them for that but I waited an hour while they processed it, only to be told later that the business manager wouldn't allow the sale. Being upfront is important and that is not what I got from this dealer.

Update: I was also informed by Mike Shaw's associate to try Car Max or Echo Park. I ended up going to Echo Park where and they did purchase the car. They got a free and clear title and I am thankful for the recommendation Mike Shaw provided. If you are looking to sell your car out right, go where Mike Shaw recommends, go to Echo Park.

BEWARE!!! I returned my lease to these guys. They ...

BEWARE!!! I returned my lease to these guys. They claimed the car sat for a month until Subaru of America came and picked it up. In actuality, they put my license plates BACK on my car, and racked up 31 separate tolls (for about $140) under my name 3 WEEKS AFTER I turned the car in. Mike Shaw Subaru and Subaru of America just stopped responding to emails when I began asking questions. They are also refusing to pay the tolls even though acknowledging they were in possession of the cars. They refused to respond to the Better Business Bureau. This is a shady dealership at best, and I would take your business ANYWHERE ELSE.

It took a while to find the vehicle I wanted. I was only interested in 3 color options. Austin was patient with me and helpful, trying to find what I wanted. I contacted at least 4 other Subaru dealers, but Austin was the easiest to work with and most willing to help out. I ended up going with a car that Shaw already had on their lot, as it was my last color choice. Initially that wasn't an option because it was a more expensive model. Austin and Shaw were helpful and worked on the price and I think I ended up with a pretty good deal. Overall, it was a fairly easy buying process. No one was pushy. I filled out and did as much as I could online and over the phone. I think I was at the dealership for only an hour or so to sign paperwork. Everyone had masks on and there were wipes/hand sanitizer, etc.

My warranty repair on the electrical system was challenging but they kept working on it until they found the problem and fixed it. That part of it went very well and they kept me informed along the way. However around 3:30 on day two, I called to get an update. I reached the receptionist and she transferred me to a service representative. The phone rang and rang and no one picked up. The receptionist picked up a second time and said she'd try another line. She rang another line and it continued to ring until it simply turned off. Apparently you need to make a change in your voicemail system to make sure that calls don't get dropped due to the lack of staff or the appropriate staff available to answer. Perhaps the service manager needs to be at the end of the line when this kind of situation occurs.

This review is based solely on the services department since I did not purchase the car here (though I should have)! I recentry brought my used wrx here for warranty service work. I was immediately assisted by Stephen C. First off, let me say that this guy is awesome. He turned a miserable situation, into something a barley had to worry about. It was a long process (out of their hands) which Stephen went out of his way to keep me updated and he handled everything while battling the warranty company. Needless to say, if there are promotions or raises to be given, Stephen needs to be getting one of those immediately!

Excellent experience with the purchase of my new car. The sales person, Rob, was extremely friendly and helpful in helping me with any questions I had and walking me through several of the cars features. I would highly recommend Rob as he did an outstanding job with the car buying process. Unfortunately, when it came to the financial side, the employee handling this end was not so great. He was a little pushy and confusing when it came to the different add-ons for the warranty; and several of the things he said just simply didn t sound right, or was suspicious in getting more money out of me. I was not pleased at all with the financial side of purchasing a car from here, but the sales person / my first point of contact was outstanding.

A 3-hour recall job took an hour and the second recall took 10 minutes. We were offered a shuttle ride to and from but decided to wait. Everybody was so attentive and helpful it was just amazing. We spoke with a financial adviser about the extended Gold warranty plan, which appears to be a great deal. We spoke with the people in parts to get some touch up paint for the vehicle, which is right in the waiting area. The overall experience was just amazing, great people great service and yes the waiting area has everything you could possibly need.

From start to finish it was an easy, straightforward experience, completely free from any of the typical sketchy tactics practiced by so many car dealers. Our salesman, Alex Comar, was forthright, honest and helpful throughout the process. Unlike many salespeople with whom we dealt, he did not hesitate to put pricing and particulars into writing in emails, a vital part of the process of buying a car long distance. And when the time came to sign the papers and write the check, the final price was about $100 LESS than the amount we had agreed upon. Deal with Mike Shaw, and buy from Alex Comar! You'll be glad you did!

We went to Mike Shaw Subaru for a service call to replace a lost key. The service crew was friendly and smiling plus we really liked the free wheel alignment check. While we were waiting, we did a couple of test drives of some 2015 models. The salesman was great! Not pushy and very friendly!
The service was finished quickly, and this was an overall, very pleasant experience!
A+ for Mike Shaw Subaru!! We'll be back.

Stephen Cadwallader in the service dept. was fantastic! He was very helpful, friendly, and great to work with. He took my appointment on very short notice and not only had the work done in less than an hour, but they washed my car too! I usually brace myself for the financial pain when I take my car in for repairs, but I feel like they were very fair with my pricing and offered warranties on the parts and service that give me peace of mind. Thanks for a great service experience. I'll be back and will recommend you to other Subaru owners.

I took my 2012 STi here to get some service. The Service Advisors were great, and kept me updated on my car. They get 5 stars

However, once I got my car back I found numerous things the tech did not put back after he worked on it. My lower fuse panel door was on the floor and my radio cable was left dangling in my engine bay. Irritating considering that could of been damaged and it literally takes 10 seconds to hook it back up to the battery. Also told me I had leaking headgaskets when I replaced my headgaskets 2 months ago.

If you're in the market for a new Subaru, Mike Shaw is the place to buy it! I desperately needed a new car but was on a limited budget with my heart set on a Forester. Cliff Swaim patiently worked with me and got me into exactly the car I wanted at the payment I needed. In fact, the deal was so good that I was able to add a 24-month service plan without significantly increasing my monthly payment. It is such a relief to know I now have a reliable car without blowing my budget out of the water.

Found the exact car that my daughter had been looking for and saving for, for quite some time now on the website. Called and spoke with a salesman that same morning to check if they still had it. He said that he wanted to double check, then called me back and said that they had it. I told him that it was exactly what we were wanting and told him that we had cash to pay for it. We exchanged phone numbers and I told him that we lived 4 hours away, but were leaving right now. I even spoke with him while on the road. We pulled in 4 hours later and saw the car sitting up front. My daughter got very excited and I thought it was cool that they had brought it up and were ready for us. We went in and asked for the salesman. He told us he would get the keys and be right with us. He took a very long time, then came back and told us that they had just sold it. They were very unapologetic and really did not seem to care about the situation. They are a big dealership and we were just another customer. I was actually astonished and appalled at how we were treated. Pretty unbelievable. A full day of travelling to and from and no car to show for it.

Mike Shaw Subaru Service Department is in a class by itself. Throw in a guy they call Jay Lazaro (unsure of his real name as I have only seen him as Subaruman).
Let me tell you about my experience:
We dropped our Tribeca off for an oil change and a look at the AC/ cooling system. They told us it would probably be there a few hours. No worries. A few hours later, he called to explain a few things. Wanted to pressure wash the engine to find the oil leaks. It was a little late in the afternoon so I didn't expect a call back. Got one, explaining they had found a few, and even found the steering rack to be leaking as well. Told him to do whatever the extended warranty would cover. He also OFFERED us a loaner car. He informs us that he is currently working with the warranty to get our car fixed. He calls to say the car is finished. This was a Friday, car was there for about 2 weeks. Picked the car up and noticed a burning oil smell and went to pop the hood. Got nothing at the latch inside the car so I couldn't pop the hood. Called Jay and was told to bring back on Monday. Was told they needed to order a part that would be in late Tuesday. Brought the car back on Wednesday. He called later in the afternoon to inform me they had found an issue and felt the car was unsafe to drive (tab on the radiator broke causing it to rattle around) and OFFERED another loaner car as the tech that was going to do the work was going to be gone for the next week. Called a week later to inform me the car was done. Went to pick up the car and he says there were no charges as they didn't know if the car came in like that or if they did it. This may not seem like a big deal but most dealerships would offer to split the cost at best. Jay and the Service Department did WAY more than that. He even got the Subaru steering rack covered through the extended warranty. Not only did he save us some money, but he did not allow the downtime to interfere with our daily lives by OFFERING a loaner car for BOTH repairs. Jay is honest, friendly, and takes care of his customers. He treats them with respect and understanding, as well as shows empathy for the situation. He apologized up and down for the inconvenience and promised to make it right. He did that. And then some!!

Victor a sales representative at Mike Shaw was some what professional. In October 2016 I found myself at Mike Shaw, I went in for a Crosstrek and left in a Legacy. He was really good at his job. When trying to purchase the vehicle he told me about leaseing I did not want to lease the car I wanted to finance it. I told him countless time's that I didn't want to lease the vehicle. Everytime he came back to the negotiating table he had a "lease price" I sent him back to many times to get a "finance price". After 4 long hour's he basically told me I had to lease the car which was a lie. To top it off when everything was done and he handed me the key's, he told me that a survey would be coming in the mail and if I could rate him all 10's that he would buy me a gas card. I figured after all the unnecessary time spent at the dealership a gas card wouldn't be a bad idea. He told me in the survey some of the questions would be about pushy salesmen and him giving the options about both leasing and financing. He said if I just give him a 10 on everything he would give me the gas card. The point of this review is he made me lie on the survey and he lied himself about the gas card. All in all I was not very satisfied with his attitude, or how unprofessional he was with the situation. Love the car love the dealership, but him as a salesmen not a very charming guy and ruined my first time car buying experience.

I have leased numerous new Subaru's and I have to say, this was by far the best experience I have had!! Our salesman Justin Yelverton was extremely helpful knowledgeable and made us feel very comfortable the entire process. Matt Stephenson; the manager, made the process the most seamless straight forward car buying process I have had to date!

I have to admit I was very nervous buying a car because my credit had suffered a bit over the last year but these guys did such an AMAZING JOB, by educating me on the leasing process and keeping me well informed throught out the process, Justin and Matt truly made me feel like I was buying a car from a family member.... and I got a GREAT DEAL!

Not happy about being told one thing about the maintenance and repair costs and looking at the invoice to see more than I was told TWICE. And, of course, the service person wasn't there to face me and explain himself. I usually like Mike Shaw's quality of service--we're long-time patrons there, now this experience leaves me questioning whether the $3800 repair work was done as well as it should have been too. What's happening there, Mr. Shaw?

We set our price beforehand and came in to purchase the car, no negotiations. Keith was also very thorough and candid with all of the details of the process and the car.
