I would literally give this dealership -5 stars if I could. Always SO BUSY so they never actually take the time to fix your car they just do whatever they can as fast as they can so that you ll leave and drive it for maybe a few days before the same problem returns again. I have taken my car here twice to get it fixed (engine light on) and both times my engine light has come on again. I finally just took it somewhere else and they showed me that this dealership totally and completely screwed me over with everything they replaced . Honestly so angry. NEVER COME HERE. I will NEVER come here again except to send them my bill for everything that they should have fixed properly the first two times.

I ve never purchased a new car from a dealership because I usually feel that they are extremely pushy and are trying to get you to purchase more than what you need. However, I have to say that working with Randon was a huge relief. I felt that he was sincere and did not push me in anyway but rather answered my questions (no matter how ridiculous) and gave me time to think over my decision. If I ever need another new car I would come back and purchase again from Randon at Mike Shaw. Thank you!
My visit there was brief but I did get what I needed. My check engine light was on and it was disabling my cruise control so I called up Mike Shaw Subaru and I cannot remember if the gentleman's name was Justin or Dustin but he was very helpful and friendly and gave it a quick diagnosis, turned off my check engine light, and I had cruise control all the way down to Lubbock Texas where I was heading.
I found a used car I was interested in online and sent in an inquiry. I was promptly contacted and invited to come in to check out the car and take it for a drive.
I showed up and met with sales representative Jacob Her. Upon spending a few minutes with Jacob, it was apparent he was a polite and respectful associate that knew his Subaru's. Despite his knowledge, he was not overly aggressive or "pushy" to make a sale. He politely answered my questions, and listened to my concerns/objections. Jacob was very personable and genuine, which made it easy to relate to him.
I know some dealerships are "haggle-free" and have "one sticker, one price," but Jacob and I politely negotiated the sale until we reached a mutual agreement. This back-and-forth not only allowed me to get an awesome deal on a great car, but showed Mike Shaw Subaru truly is customer oriented; it is well known the margin of profit on used vehicles is minimal.
After agreeing to the purchase, I met with the finance manager who was equally pleasant and non-aggressive in "up-selling." He presented some options for warranties and accessories, but listened to rebuttals and was not argumentative when I declined to purchase some of things he presented.
This was by far the most positive experience I have had buying from a dealership, and will undoubtedly consider them for future purchases as well as referrals to family and friends.
If dealerships had more sales associates like Jacob, the negative perception of buying a used car would be non-existent. Thanks, Jacob and team!
I went in to buy my first car trying not to show face. I bought from Kevin, because he was patient, very knowledgeable, and most of all, trustworthy. During negotiation he was understandable and did what he could to work with me. Ultimately I bought from him for being so trustworthy more than anything. Justin handled the financing. Awesome guy. He was very clear, and answered all of my questions.
Since purchasing the car, Kevin has checked in with me twice in the last week to see if I have any other questions, making for a suburb buying experience.

It was a very easy process working with William Reynolds, he helped me decide between 2 different models and got me into the car that best fit my needs. He was very patient since I had many questions about differences and multiple test drives.
I came in for just a quick oil change before I headed out on a road trip and Jay told me about a new recall I had on my car that had just come out 2 days prior. He was able to get both done, but I was there for 2 hours. All in all it was a good experience and I was glad I could get the recall done then.

There are so many things to love about Mike Shaw. The service advisers, the customer lounge, the friendly smiles on every person the works there. The eco friendliness - they gave LED lights everywhere, recycle everything and even reuse motor oil to heat their building. A lot to love. A lot to bring you back. That's Mike Shaw and Subaru.

Enter Keith T who walked me through my every demand and complication with the patients of a saint. He got me into a brand new Subaru Impreza like I wanted from the start. I was in much need of a car and needed aomething fast so i went down to Mike Shaw Subaru and started talking with Allison Harjo she was able to get me more than i was wanting with my trade in and get me into a nice 2015 impreza same day she was awesome and worked with me on everything i needed to do this. The process was fast and easy and srove out in my bew car same day. I totally suggest getting with her for your next buy!
Let me first start by saying I absolutely dread having to deal with dealerships on any level (to include service), but my car was approaching a 100K miles and needing a pretty pricey repair... so I figured it was time to go in and take a look at options before I dumped in any money in to a vehicle that couldn't even promise me another 10k+ miles.
I was greeted by a gentleman, Cliff Swaim. Immediately Cliff could sense my hesitation. After 10 minutes or so he had answered all of my questions and had addressed all of my concerns. My guard slowly but surely came down. Before we had test drove anything based on our conversation he was able to help me narrow my search down to the Outback and the Forester which probably saved me a good half hour of test driving cars that I would have had zero interested based on my needs. I test drove the Forester first and honestly I knew that was the car for me, it drove with such an ease, it handled like a dream. Once we got back to the dealership we had sat down and he handed me all of the Forester's literature, we went over some basic things... and went over what a comfortable payment for me would be. I had to wait about 15 minutes or so before I was taken back to another gentleman's office to start the financing part of the purchase of my new vehicle. Ugh, the worst part of buying any vehicle is having to sit in an office for God knows how long while you go through a 100 questions and waste what feels like an eternity of time. To my surprise the Finance Director, Peter Beckingham, was very informative going over the contract... and didn't seem put out at all by my repeating what I was hearing to make sure I was understanding everything correctly. He too answered all of my questions and concerns... in this entire process I felt the most comfortable and at ease with my decision to buy a new car in his office. He was able to get my car financed right at the number I had told Cliff WITH the appropriate warranty needed to assure the costs of any needed repairs would be affordable. I was the owner of a car I felt incredibly comfortable in with the right payment and assurance. I cannot rave enough about the time spent in the Mike Shaw dealership, it was swift, informative, and most important to me... comforting. When we first started this buying process Matt had made a number of promises each of which fell through because he was simply beimg dishonest just to get us here but all of that changed when we started working with Torie Benoit. She was honest, straight forward and work for days to get us a good deal on the car we wanted. Cliff Swaim promptly and politely responded to my request for information on pricing and availability through the Mike Shaw Subaru website. His responsiveness to additional questions was equally swift. We hear a lot about "low-pressure" or "no-pressure" sales approaches these days. I wasn't interested in being "sold" anything. Cliff provided a service rare in today's marketplace. He simply listened to the needs of my wife and I. He then allowed us to find a place for those needs within our economic boundaries. At no point in time did Cliff take the decision from our exclusive control. Rather than flaunting his superior knowledge of the vehicles in consideration, Cliff appropriately adapted his communication to a method that resulted in the highest retention for us as clients.
Buying a new vehicle is an important decision. It is a decision that exposes a consumer to potential self-serving agendas by sales associates. In dealing with Cliff Swaim at Mike Shaw Subaru, my wife's and my own interests were the focal point of the entire transaction. This level of service, and commitment to doing right by the client, is a refreshing change from what we have come to expect.
I took my STi to Mike Shaw to have an alignment done. They said that they couldn't get the right rear to come into alignment claiming that my new coilover was shot. They wanted to charge me close to $500 to "fix" it. Not believing this at all, I went to another dealership (of another manufacturer) and explained the situation. All they had to do is loosen the bolts on the knuckle and they were able to get it into alignment no problem!! I will never deal with Mike Shaw again due to the incompetence in the service department!!

UPDATE 4/22/2016 I can not say enough good things about Mike Shaw Subaru. I will never go anywhere else to by a Subaru, and will be my first stop if I am in the market for a used car.
Stopped in two days ago to get an oil change on the 2016 Outback 2.5i Limited we bought last August. The service department is second to none. Talked Cathy over the phone and she was able to get us in the same day, all the techs in the service department are great people.
Stopped in to see our sales guy Cliff, greatest sales guy ever, and asked to test drive a 2016 Outback 3.6R Limited. He took us out to show us inventory, brought us some keys and off we went. Came back talk numbers, for literally 5 minutes, and we decided to trade in our 9 month old 2.5i for the 3.6R. Could not have been more smooth, and once again we could not be happier with the entire dealership experience. I, Like most people, dread going to dealerships to even look at cars, but not at Mike Shaw, feels like talking to old friends.
So if your looking at a Subaru and thinking about stopping into MIKE SHAW SUBARU, do it and don't forget to ask for CLIFF SWAIM, you wont regret it.
I leased a Subaru Impreza from this dealer and I worked with Hutch and he was a very friendly and helpful salesman. He was great to work with and I highly recommend him if you come into this dealership. I felt like he had my best interest in mind and worked hard to get the price that worked for me.

Just bought my first Subaru from Mike Shaw in Thornton. Our salesman, Mike Mullen was super. He was very knowledgeable of the Subaru lineup. He was very helpful and most importantly not pushy! Mike set us up with a test drive and recommended that we drive the Forester for an hour or so. He suggested we "drive the expressway at 75". I have been buying cars for quite a few years now, but I have to say this was the smoothest purchase yet. We are very satisfied with our new Subaru. I will definitely come back again and will ask for Mike Mullen.
I am a returning customer to Mike Shaw with 4 other vehicles being purchased. Went I went in on 1/1/16 to trade in our Outback and getting a 2015 or 2016 Outback, I was extremely disappointed as the sales rep Gabe seemed annoyed when hashing out the deal.
First, it was mentioned if we traded in our 2015 Outback trade in value would be $24500 if we purchased another pre-owned 2015 Outback. However, when we mentioned we want to buy a 2016 Outback instead due to better value, trade in value was lowered to be $22500. Shouldn't a trade in value stay consistent regardless of what vehicle is being bought instead of bait and switch technique?
When I asked the sales rep to give us the worksheet so we can compare with other dealership, he quickly took away all the worksheet and stated its company policy we don't give out worksheet if you want to compare number with another dealership.
I will not buy another vehicle through Mike Shaw in the future and will not refer anyone there either like I did in the past. I have never had issues with Service Dept though with all our vehicle being services over the last 7yrs. Sales area needs significant improvement
I have purchased/upgraded my car at Mike Shaw for over ten years. They are honest, explain everything thoroughly, and are always respectful of your budget. I've purchased 3 cars for senior salesperson, Cliff Swain. He practically performed miracles when my credit was less than desirable. He is extremely honest and fosters a no pressure sales environment. I also recently worked with another senior salesman, Mike. He's also awesome. I can't say enough good things about this company. I was able to bring my Subaru Legacy in to have the right taillight replaced as I had backed into a tree and had broken the taillight on the passenger side. Dan told me to bring it in. It was repaired in thirty minutes. Now it's what I call service! I had purchased the automobile from Mike Shaw Subaru two and one half years ago.. I have always been given great service there. Came in to get information on the different trim levels on the crosstrek. Mike Mullen was very helpful in showing me the different levels and allowing me to test drive them without pushing me into buying one. I needed to come in for a recall on the airbags of my vehicle. I was able to get it into the service department and have a loaner vehicle for when it was being worked on. The drop off and pick up of my vehicle was easy and clear. It needed some additional air filters changed, and I was able to do it at that time. I really appreciated how when I went to pick up my car the exterior was cleaned. The staff was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient.

Jacob was incredible! After many trials and tribulations at other dealerships, Jacob made this whole process super easy. Mike Shaw Subaru is definitely a top notch dealership. I drove four hours from Wyoming to do business with them because they were a million times better than my local dealership. I worked with Keith T who was awesome at communicating with me and making sure we were getting the right vehicle for the right price. He did not push a single extra option or package which was great. And Brandon with financing was super friendly, calm, and a pleasure to do business with.
I had one unpleasant experience with Jamie, I stopped in on my way to pick up my girlfriend (who I was co-applying with) from DIA to have my trade-in appraised and Keith was unavailable so she decided to help. She took a quick look at my car and then sat me down and started throwing out numbers and papers for financing and asking for signatures, having already put a deposit down on the vehicle I wanted, I knew this was definitely not necessary, so I calmly declined. She started getting more pushy, saying that if I didn't sign the papers I wouldn't get what I wanted for my trade-in, so I left to pick up my girlfriend but said we might return later in the day and I would let her know. I called her an hour later and said we were going to begin to head home because it was four hours away and we didn't want to sit and haggle with someone so pushy and rude. She was very frustrated with this and said she needed to run my girlfriends credit to get our trade-in appraisal finished, WHAT? Anyone with half a brain knows you need no kind of credit check to get a trade-in appraisal. So I said no maybe I'll come down later in the week and talk with Keith. She said okay let me see what I can do. So she calls back about 5 minutes later and threatens that if I do not drive 265 miles, FOUR HOURS, down to their dealership tomorrow, that they would dealer trade the vehicle I have had reserved, with a deposit, for almost a month. I knew this was BS but decided to email the manager anyway to make sure. Keith contacted me the next day and was very apologetic for what had happened and said there was no way they could have done that.
Bottom line, Keith and Brandon are awesome! Stay away from Jamie unless you like rude, pushy, lying sales people.
Mike Shaw Subaru wasn't the best experience for an internet buyer. I preferred to learn more about the vehicles online and communicate via phone/e-mail with the dealerships and found Mike Shaw difficult to work with. While other dealers were up front with pricing and options via e-mail, Mike Shaw required me to come into the dealership to get an offer, which I refused to do. Only after saying that I would take my business elsewhere did they submit an offer over the phone, without any description of what it included. I found other dealerships more upfront and willing to communicate via phone/e-mail.
Shane Monahan at Mike Shaw Subaru was the best salesman we saw the day we purchased our car. We visited Honda and Toyota earlier that day. Mike was by far the most knowledgeable. We had very relaxing experience and were completely unrushed. We love our new Forester! Mike explained to us how a Subaru is designed to be AWD versus Honda and Toyota, which convert a FWD car to AWD. He also explained that Honda and Toyota are only AWD if you keep the car under 19 miles an hour. Mike trusted us to test drive different models. We had a great experience and received a deal fair for us and Mike Shaw Subaru. I will be buying my next car from Shane Monahan at Mike Shaw Subaru.

I bought my third Subaru from Cliff the online sales person and it was fast and smooth as silk. Can't thank him enough. I own an outback my wife owns a forester and my daughter just bought an impreza. We got the price at a great price. He gave me more for my daughters trade in than I thought he would and he even talked to the final closing guy to ask him to not do the high pressure warrantee sales pitch, at my request. It was a great experience and I thank him and the whole team. Also, I have stopped by a few times, even a year after I bought my Subaru, and there is always someone there to help me figure out the controls on the Car. I am not the best person on the technical stuff however, I did just upgrade from 8 track to cassettes. ;-)
I had a great experience working with Austin Elzinga who helped me find my dream car at Mike Shaw. Initially, I was having a hard time deciding between a Crosstrek and an Outback. Austin was extremely attentive to my questions and concerns and was patient throughout the entire process. He was knowledgeable, professional, and super sweet. I m so happy with my new car and I ll definitely be recommending his expertise to my friends from now on.
Chris Gallaher and Alex Comar were extremely friendly and helpful. Chris helped me find the exact car I was looking for and provided useful information during the test drive. Alex was patient and willing to work with me to negotiate a fair price. Unfortunately, I was not pleased with the third individual I met with when signing the final papers for purchase. The options for coverage I felt were made intentionally confusing and unclear. This individual is clearly a good salesman, but it felt manipulative. I ended up purchasing additional coverage I did not need or want. Alex helped me cancel the extra coverage later and was understanding of my concerns.
I went online to see what deals were being offered and made a request for pricing. 2 minutes later I get a call from Shane Monahan. He was able to work a potential deal on the phone. I got there that day and same great service. He worked with me to stay in my budget and help get a really good deal. Great experience! I really recommend working with Shane, great guy, great sales experience. This is the second car I've bought from Mike Shaw Subaru, great team.
This is the only place I will ever go to service or work on my car, even though they are a bigger dealership they always keep the customer in mind in the most honest way! In my last experience I worked with Stephen in service (guy with the awesome beard!) Long story short, my car was stolen and had very limited funds...he made it work, went above and beyond for me and my kids to have something decent again! I will always return here for my Subaru needs, knowing that it will be in good hands!

I did just what my friend said. When I got to the dealership Justin was busy helping another customer, he set me up with Kevin, but checked in often to see how everything was going. I brought the car in because I had a terrible noise and vibration when I reach 65 mph. I really appreciated Dan the service manager work this problem and keep me informed Pham helped me to make a phone appointment Kathy Nerka Was assigned as the service manager advisor and did a terrific job keeping me informed and resolving the problem finally. Tim Taxied me home and when the car was finished Tim cleaned the car inside and out. I got terrific service from these people and I thank you very much and will pass on my experience to my friends and associates

My temp tags expire in a couple days and DMV still hasn t received my title work from the dealership, there was no notice of finance information provided to me until the day my first payment was due, and they didn t have any of the correct mailing or physical addresses recorded after multiple times correcting them.
Costumer Service (for someone who spent $XX,XXX!!) should be more than a couple texts here and there, passive-agressive phone assistance, and finance employees who don t know a thing about your purchase. So much for making a professional relationship over such a big purchase should ve just bought from AutoNation (same price, and WAY better service). I m extremely disappointed, and will not recommend this to anyone else.
I left the car for an oil change and fuel pump change. When I got it back it had gasoline spilled inside and the whole car stunk like gasoline. My car seat was removed and not put back. This is the second time that the service has been a disapointment for me. On my very first oil change the service man forgot to put the cap on the engine and I had oil spilled all over it.
