this was my first experience with a dealership. it was extremely positive from beginning to end. you hear all these horror stories about dealerships trying to sell you unnecessary services/products. I didn't experience that here. I called ahead of time to see how much it would cost and Michael was nice enough to do it for free since it would only take him a minute or two to see what it was. I went into the dealership the next day and was greeted by one of their salemen. Jorge tried to tell me I had to replace my bumper and that Michael couldn't do anything for me. That was the only negative part of my experience. Well, I called Michael back and he came to get me (I had parked in the wrong park of the dealership) he took it to he back and figured out what was wrong with my car and fixed up my bumper while he was at it. I'm really happy with this experience and highly recommend any Mazda owner who needs their car serviced to come here and ask for Michael. I'll definitely be back if I ever need it. Thank you!

I could not be more pleased with my experience at Mazda of Clearlake. As a little back history I come from a family of dealers, dealership GM s and dealership owners so I have an opinion when going into a dealership and they changed that for me. I have always purchased from family so I get a different experience then most and never deal with salesmen directly as family is who I go through. I have a few pet peeves and would easily leave without looking back if all my expectations are not met and they kept me around long enough to purchase which says something in itself. My salesman was Mirza and he was AMAZING!! I got there knowing the exact vehicle I was interested in since I had found it online and he never pushed me to look at something else. He immediately retrieved the keys and we took her out for a spin. My favorite thing about Mirza is that he never once made me feel pressured or salesmanny if you know what I mean. For example, I came in looking for a particular salesman who was not in and instead of trying to get he sale and he told me when he would be back but still offered to take us for a ride. I am SO GLAD we went with him because he was AMAZING and I WILL go to him again. Now for the financing.... Matt was our finance man and he was wonderful as well. I didn t agree with the interest rates offered and he moved numbers and made things happen, at the end of it all they knocked off more on the vehicle which made me walk out with a better deal then I ever imagined. Upon getting home with my certified preowned Mazda 3 I noticed a huge gash in the sidewall of my tires and being that it was a preowned I started looking up pricing for a new tire which was outrageous. I contacted Matt to see if they could get my better pricing on my tire given the situation and they informed me that since this was in the service records they replaced my tire at no charge as soon as they got the tire in. I am thoroughly impressed with the service I received from purchasing to after the purchase. They went above and beyond and did things that they by no means had to do and did it. I will be back in the near future and cannot wait to work with Mirza and Matt again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I now have a reliable vehicle for a great price and monthly payments I can afford. Along with security that any problems I have will be taken care of the right way by these amazing men.
With all the high reviews of this dealership and staff it is a shame that my experience was disappointing. My car salesman (Juan) does not take the extra step in customer service and made me feel like I didn't matter once my contract was signed and I drove off the lot. The very same day I bought my car I emailed him asking if he could check my trade in for my gate key and no response. He could've even lied and said my car was already in auction but nothing. Weeks go by and there is an issue with my trade being paid off so I texted him this time. Again no response. Recently I go to pick up my license plates and he just hands them to me. I have worked at several dealerships in the Houston area and this is my first time seeing a salesman not put the plates on himself or grab somebody from service. All these little things are what make customers return to dealerships. A total of a few minutes or even seconds of his time could have made the experience superior especially when every drive I make there is an hour and a half. It is unfortunate because we don't have a mazda dealership anywhere near my town and people have been obsessed with my car and interested. I will definitely recommend Mazda to them but not the person who sold me mine. I know that I was an easy customer. I knew my exact color, trim, package I wanted and even bought the car with higher payments than I budgeted for with no haggling or being difficult so I can't imagine why he wouldn't want my return business and referrals.

Chris Danzell made my buying experience a good one. He gets 5 stars He gave me a great price on the vehicle I wanted. He answered all of my questions and was not too pushy, not did he play the car salesman games I was expecting. I purchased a 2015 Mazda6 three weeks ago.
The finance portion was not so easy. First, they tried to tell me I had to use their financing even though I told them from the beginning that I was pre-approved with JSCFCU (one of their partners) to get the price. I was ready to walk out. Then the hard sell for warranty packages and downgrading the Mazda warranty made me question if I wanted a Mazda at all. THEY EVEN RAN MY CREDIT AND I HAD NOT SIGNED AN APPLICATION THAT GAVE THEM PERMISSION TO RUN MY CREDIT.
He actually told me I would have to go to JSC to sign the paperwork which is a lie as they are partners and have the ability to do the paperwork there. When I reminded him that I have bought a car there before and used JSC for financing, he then got out the paperwork and started printing it out.
Of course, a mysterious extra $300 was in the price even though I had a written drive out cost from Chris. So, he had to re-do the paperwork. On the second set of paperwork, the date was wrong and backdated by two weeks. Finally, after I pointed out the mistakes, the third set was correct (or I didn't catch anything). Be careful when you sign the paperwork and always get a total drive out quote in writing from your sales person!
Honestly, I was ready to walk out and go somewhere else just because of the bad attitude of the finance guy and his lies and "miscalculations". My financing was approved and I could buy a car anywhere.
I am not one who enjoys purchasing vehicles, but my experience at Mazda of Clear Lake was exceptional. Kenny was very honest and upfront in all matters and Aaron (finance) was very professional and personable. I would highly recommend purchasing a vehicle at this dealership.
So, after viewing a Honda CRV and Toyota Rav4 from their website (because they don't only take in Mazdas and sell them), my dad and the salespeople, Mike and Alex spoke over the phone that I was supposed to come in to test drive both vehicles for our scheduled appointment at 3:46 pm.
Mike tells my dad that he is at Mazda of Clear Lake viewing both vehicles.
I had to take care of some business that morning, scheduled the appointment earlier at one o'clock when I called, Mike answered and he said to come in at one - "everything will be ready". I ask him, "am I still meeting up with Alex?" He says there's no Alex that works at the dealership.
Strangely.
I drive to Mazda of Clear Lake to locate Mike (and the other salespeople) tell me that there's no Mike in the Sales Department and instead redirect me to the Service department. When I get to the Service area, I tell the Mike there why I am here - to view a Honda CRV and Toyota Rav4. The guy looks puzzled, assuming I don't know what I am talking about. He says, "huh, what are you talking about, I don't know anything about that" then he says, "oh, there's no other Mike that works here, I am the only Mike that I know that works here".
He leaves and goes to the Sales building to tell the other salespeople, he returns saying, "I located who you are looking for." I wait and then finally, Mike shows up with Alex. Mike says, "weren't you supposed to be here at 3:46 pm?" I said yes, but I just called you and you said that I could come in at 1:00 pm instead.
So, we both walk back over to the Sales building from the Service department. Alex is speaking very fast, saying the Toyota Rav4 isn't here, it's in service, but will be ready at 3:46 pm. He allows me to test drive the Honda CRV instead.
During the test drive, he rushes me to get in, not allowing me to view the whole vehicle, but I noticed the leather was coming off everywhere. After telling him my name, he says that his mum name is that too (he wouldn't stop talking about her). Every question I asked about the vehicle, he didn't know.
After the awkward test drive, I leave and return for the scheduled appointment at 3:46 pm, I arrive on the dot. When I get there, the place is empty, just a few salespeople. I tell one of the salesmen that I am here for my appointment with Alex. He says, "let me locate him".
It takes 20 minutes for me to then find out that Alex is out for lunch and the Toyota Rav4 was still in service. I tell another salesperson, that I had a scheduled appointment with Alex at this time and tells me to wait until Alex texts me to tell me that the vehicle is ready to view.
I leave to go home frustrated with all of these run-arounds. Later that evening, I asked my dad if Alex ever text him about the vehicle, he says no.
Searching for a vehicle is already stressful, but dealing with Mazda of Clear Lake is even worse.
Spent the afternoon looking at pre-owned vehicles and decided to buy. David (Turner) was my sales rep and he was knowledgeable and efficient in taking care of me. I recommend this dealership, and especially David as a salesperson.
I am very satisfied with my brand new 2017 Mazda 3. David, the Venezuelan salesperson (I can't remember his last name) and Chris Danzell went above and beyond to help me with my purchase. He was very informative and took his time with me. I had an excellent experience. I was happy with both sales people and highly recommend dealing with either one of them on any car purchase.
I have been using the parts department at Mazda of Clear Lake for almost 12 years. I own a race car business and order all of my transmission parts from them. I have learned over the years that it just takes one phone call or a quick email and I can forget about it. Xavier makes life so easy on me. I have many other vendors that require constant attention and follow up and even with that the orders are wrong about half the time!
I just thought it was time to show the parts department a little love in return!
Please stop taking appointments on line if you re going to continue having an over booked schedule! I don t appreciate having to wait 2 hours plus when I scheduled an appointment a week in advance!

I had a wonderful experience here! A few weeks ago I was shopping for a new car. All of the staff greeted me with a smile and hello, even when I *self-cringe* showed up an hour before they closed. Juan was so delightful in helping me get my car. He was never at all pushy (a fear of mine /pet peeve that I have when buying anything big) , he was friendly, and very informative of the numbers, special that I asked about, and car buying process. I told Juan I wanted an SUV for the weather/traffic conditions here in Houston and he showed me the Mazda CX-5 sport which met my wish list and stuck to my budget. He showed me all the safety features the car is loaded with and let me test drive it. I was hooked on it. He never pushed me into upgrading, going over my budget, I never got the feeling like I was just a sale. Every person of the team treated me like I was a valued customer. I had gone to other dealers for a few weeks before choosing Demontrond Mazda and those dealerships couldn t compare to the amazing customer service and ease of the car buying process that Demontrond Mazda gave me.
As a bonus, I was given Apple car play installed in my car. I didn t know how to go about getting it installed, I just put it on my to do list to eventually contact the dealership about it. What was great was that the service department contacted me for the install first, before I got around to it! I had a Mazda 6 in the past and always had good experience with the service dept (when it was Mazda of Clearlake) too. For my Apple CarPlay in my CX5, I dropped it off easily, was given a very nice loaner, and got my car back at the end of the day. Everyone in their service dept was also friendly and quick.
It was a great experience, Juan was very professional and was great to work with. Car buying can be very stressful, but this was not that way. Thanks to Juan, Tim and Mike.

We were extremely excited to shop for a Mazda! We went to visit Mazda of Clear Lake on a Tuesday to test drive a CX-5 because they were the closest dealership to us. We were greeted right away and we re shown two different versions of the Cx-5. Needless to say, we fell in love with the car after the test drive. We are ready to purchase after looking at other SUVs. We are very happy with the initial meeting, but became very disappointed when we tried to talk about pricing. We were offered no negotiation on pricing and didn t receive a call back. We did receive a text and email that offered an extremely high price. When we messaged back that it was too high, we only received a text that said sorry I understand . I have purchased several vehicles, and have always received a call back or a willing to negotiate a price. It became apparent to me that the gentleman that helped us was only interested in our business if we wanted to pay the high price. We left that dealership and bought the CX-5 we wanted on Friday from another dealership. The different dealership almost 30 miles away, offered us a deal $2000 less than what Mazda of Clear Lake.
Our sales rep Kizito was fabulous! He was very knowledgable about the vehicle we were interested in and there was no pressure to make a purchase. This was our first purchase through Mazda and we were very satisfied with the level of service.
These people do false advertisements online, they raise the price the moment I get there and say its nonnegotiable, nowhere on the site does it say the price is non negotiable. They instead tried to sell me another car I was not interested in. They also told me that they were top 2 in the city when it comes to low pricing and that was their justification for not negotiating
It s been almost a year since I fist wrote my first review (I left it at the end of this new review) and what a change a year can make. I have to admit that probably a day or two after my post a year again, the store manager contacted me to ask me what had happened. I shared with him all the info and emails that I had and he was so worried about the entire situation. He apologized San asked me to consider going back to Mazda Clear Lake the next time I was in the market for a car. The time came and decided to give it a try. Needless to say, it was simply awesome. From Marcos (sales person), Tim (sales manager) and Mike (Finance) everyone gave 100% to ensure an great buying experience. Thanks to all of them for their help.
Below is my review from a year ago. My opinion has changed after my recent visit and purchase. Giving just one star because I could not give a zero star. The visit to the dealership was ok, but when I tried to negotiate the price via email it was a short but RUDE response. Would never go back to this place.

I test drove a Mazda CX-5 at this dealership last week. I loved all the bells and whistles that come on these vehicles for the price. Marco was our sales guy and he was very helpful, friendly, and professional in his follow up. I was also impressed with the Mazda of Clear Lake service coverage. I previously owned a Toyota which includes 25k miles. Mazda does 3 years/36k miles of service.
I purchased a used vehicle from this Mazda dealership. When purchasing as a selling point they said lifetime free oil changes as long as you have the vehicle. Well, they discontinued that. When letting me the new policy the service department workers we polite until I closed the door and heard them bad mouthing me because of a previous incident when they stripped my oil pan bolt on the previous service and denied it. I didn't work on my vehicle so I don't understand how it was my fault. It seemed to inconvenience them because of a mistake they made. So I had to pay 300 dollars for an oil change that day. They were talking behind the customers back as if I couldn't hear them behind a glass window. Horrible service, horrible accountability, horrible customer service and I wouldn't think about buying a vehicle here. I haven't given any company a bad review or a review at all until clear lake Mazda. Like I said before I didn't work on my vehicle so being a little upset about a mistake on a simple oil change would get anyone upset. It wasn't my fault that my vehicle was messed up and it's not like I wanted it to be messed up. Completely rude service department and quite frankly don't know what they are doing. Save yourself a headache and do not go here because they will lie about services you don't need to make a quick buck.

Its been 4 months since I left my last comment here. I don't know why this dealer receive many positive comments on here. I will give them a negative 5 stars if I could. My Mazda 3 was a great car but I regret buying from this dealer. I spending $3,000 more than the price I was promised. The guy name DAVID TURNER promised me a drive-out price for my 2014 Mazda 3 to be $21,900. It turns out to be almost $25,000 for the car when I signed the contract. I guess these people "don't know" what the word drive-out means! BTW, they put the EXTENDED WARRANTY on my policy without notice me (I did mention them I don't need the EW before signing the contract)
I DON'T RECOMMEND TO BUY FROM THIS DEALER, COMPLETELY DISHONEST SELLERS. DON'T TRUST ANYTHING THEY PROMISE YOU!

I highly recommend this dealership. I worked with Rodrigo Castor and he made the experience a lot of fun! They have the lowest prices of all the dealerships in the greater Houston area. They also had a few incentives to buy from them such as free oil changes for life. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

This place is awesome! I looked for a truck, found it online, and did my application over the phone. Within an hour, Tyrone called and said I was approved; no co-signer needed. Once I got to the car dealership, I was there less than 3 hours and I drove off the lot with my new truck. The business office was awesome too! They didn't try to mess over me either! My son and I both lost our cars to floods from Harvey. I went to Honda of Clear Lake, and although I love my car, I was not happy with the customer service over there. So to replace my sons car, we went to Mazda of Clear Lake. Oh, what a difference! Right from the first moment when we met David Garcia, we knew things would be better. He was friendly and eager to help. He didn't rush through with us. He listened to us and took the time to find exactly what we wanted. He didn't try to push something we didn't want on us. Every person in that building was friendly. They all greeted us with smiles and asked if we needed anything. Even the finance department went smooth with everything being explained. Mirza showed us several autos in the model, year & price range we were looking for. Mirza is very knowledgeable about the different cars, very friendly and not overbearing. We left Clear Lake and visited several other dealerships but in the end, we came back to Mazda of Clear Lake and purchased our car from Mirza. The entire experience, from shopping to closing was easy and stress free.

My wife and I went here when we were purchasing a used vehicle. We saw a vehicle we liked online at a price point that fit our budget. When we got to the dealership the posted price of the vehicle online was much higher. However, our sales representative Otto guaranteed us that the online price would be matched and it was. Otto was extremely helpful in completing the sale on our time frame and in a timely manner. He kept us updated on the process and made it painless. The vehicle itself was the one online, it was clean, and it drove well on the test drive. I waited to post this review to see how the vehicle held up and after four months it has continued to drive well. The vehicle purchased was a 2017 Dodge Journey SXT. We have been nothing but satisfied with the vehicle they sold. Otto did a great job with us and I would definitely recommend this dealership and Otto in particular. We got a great vehicle at a great price with exemplary service.

I went in today to look around and get a trade in value for my Dodge Durango. My salesman Kizito was very knowledgeable of the vehicles on the lot. He was very polite and not at all pushy. After searching for a few hours and test driving multiple cars I found the perfect car. There was a little negotiating with a respectable manager who gave as much as he received. In the end Kizito and the manager were able to work out a fantastic deal with me. I walked away with money in my pocket, a certified car and a great experience. I highly recommend this dealership.
I purchased a Mazda 3 last weekend from this dealership. James Glasco worked with me to ensure that I found the right car for me. James is very patient, no pressure, and knowledgeable about the various cars I considered. Truly, I got the sense that he was there simply to make sure that I was happy with whichever choice I made that day. I really appreciated my experience in purchasing a car with him. Clearlake was quite busy the day we were there (Saturday), so it took a little while to get into finance. This, however, was no fault on the employees' part. The manager would do well to see that there are more people working finance on the weekend. I had no place to be, though...so I was fine with the wait (it was maybe 20 mins). Clearlake is definitely worth the drive!

Set up and appt for an oil change and it took over 3.5 hours. Then was left so dirty all my sensors were going off. Called to speak to the service manager. Was told that he was in a meeting and would call me back. It has been 3 days and no call back. Very disappointed.
I've been searching for a particular used car that would meet my expectations for 2 months when I came across one online that had just been traded in at Mazda of Clear Lake. Interior photos had not been posted yet and I had several questions. I called and spoke to Chris Hatch who offered to "whiff" the car for me to see if it was a "smokers" car and to take pics of the interior for me to view. Being I was 60 miles away, I didn't want to drive that far unless it was not a smokers car and I could at least see a few pics first. He was prompt, fast, very professional and texted me the pics and answers to my questions in a timely manner. This was not an expensive car and yet Chris gave us the attention as though we were buying a brand new car. He accommodated whatever we needed and by the end of the day, we purchased that car. In addition, it was an absolute pleasure speaking to someone I could understand on the phone as it was obvious English was his first language. I had not experienced that at any other dealership I had called in 2 months. I highly recommend Chris if you are looking to buy a car. He gets the job done no matter what price range you are seeking in a car. I'm impressed with this dealership.
Internet manager David Turner is the worst. Stay away from him. He gives you a deal online and when you come in they don't give you the same deal. They won't even budge a penny. He was rude in person and made me not wanting to buy a Mazda.
Went here because of the advertised internet price. Little did I know that their are warnings at the very bottom of the page that their price are with all the incentives. I asked on the phone if that was the price the salesman said yes and so I came. I was straight up with them and told them I was ready to buy today if they honored their price, so they took my car to evaluate the trade in made me wait 40 minutes before they told me the price wasn't even close to their advertised special. They gave me less for my trade in that the other Mazda dealership who ironically didn't really blink at matching this dealership's advertised internet price. Manager came in and told me they weren't going to come down much, at this point after waiting an hour I just said no thank you and left. Needless to say I wont be ever coming back here with the massive bait and switch and wasting my hour and a half drive time to be underwhelmed.
This is how you can improve, when another dealership takes all but 15 minutes to print out an offer and value my trade in and doesn't jerk me around too much on pricing even matching your price and offering a superior environment make sure you at least match the level of service your competitors are offering.
Dustin the Service Manager and the entire service department are great. They Always treat us like family and they are honest and friendly. We will always buy at Mazda Of Clear Lake because of the great service.
Alex Saldivar was the New Car Manager that worked with me to purchase my car. Overall I am happy with the whole process and glad I was able to drive off with the car I wanted.
I only have experience with the service team so this is the basis firmly review. I mainly dealt with John Warner and this man did an excellent job taking care of me and my car. I went in to check on a couple of recalls and when I called in to check on the availability of a loaner he said they may not have any but that he will look into it. When I did turn in my vehicle the next day, John and company were able to get me a loaner for the duration. My vehicle was worked on and John had excellent information about my vehicle. He did not try to coerce me into buying more service yet he did let me know all concerns. He and the rest of the service team did an excellent job!
I was in the market for a cash car, and I found exactly what I was looking for. Chris Danzell took very good care of me. Even when and got me towels to check the fluids, held my flash light so I could check the engine components. He went above and beyond. I was in and out in under two hours. I would for surely go back to Chris when I need another vehicle.
The service department was also great! When I bought my car, It had a we owe on the AC. I thought it was going to take days and be one big hassle. I was excited when it was very easy. Matt took care of my car and got me in a brand new loaner car. They had to get parts so I ended up keeping the loaner over night. When It was done, my car was back... fixed and awesome. I am overly impressed with the customer service, I am pretty sure I called at least four times to check on my car, always got friendly and helpful answers and updates.
I purchased a Mazda 6 from Alex. It was a very smooth process. There was no hidden agenda or trickery to make the sale. Everything he said about the warranty was true.
Alex and I shared personal experiences, which had nothing to do with the sale of the vehicle.
I would recommend anyone looking for a Mazda to checkout Alex. You won t regret the experience.

Our family lost 2 cars to flooding from hurricane Harvey. Chris L. was very helpful to get us into a car for my daughter at a price she could afford. I was a chaplain to this company 8 years ago and had bought 2 Mazdas at that time. We have been really pleased with the Mazda vehicles--no mechanical problems ever and the service is great!!
I would give five stars but their upper Managment don t deserve it because they refused to talk to me. A little issue became a big issue because Dustin was out for a bit. But He came back and their new master mechanic knew how to fix the issue.
Came in here on 04/22/2017 right at opening time and was immediately assisted. By 11:30 I was on my way home having purchased a pre-owned car for my daughter. Alex Saldivar made the process very smooth and was very courteous. This is the best experience I've ever had at a car dealership. I would definitely recommend doing business here.
