I had a great experience purchasing my car working with Kizito (Sales person). We spoke over the phone several times during a span of two weeks. When I arrived at the dealership, he had the exact car I was looking for waiting for me to test drive. After the test drive, we closed the deal and the entire time It was a pleasant experience. After the sale, I reached out to him for some help with a financing issue which he urgently handled and got straightened out. I just wanted to share my experience and if you are planning on buying a car, Kizito is a good man who will help you out before, during and after the sale.

My experience at Mazda of Clear Lake was a very, Very, VERY unexpected pleasurable Experience. Before writing this review, I wrote a first draft. But after viewing other reviews, I realized that it was much too long. Therefore, I would really like to commend/Recommend Chris Loeffler-Credit Union Relations Manager and Matthew Nay-New Car Manager for Extremely Outstanding Service. I was able to drive away with a 2013 Hyundai Elantra-GLS, Zero Down Payment and with credit challenges. Chris went the extra mile to even follow me to return a rental to get to the dealership and Matthew appreciated my Professional, which I personally feel motivated him more to get me approved for this car. I have been down this road before with other dealership because I really do not look good on paper. These guys, especially Matthew, looked passed that. I really appreciate you guys. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MAZDA OF CLEAR LAKE.

I leased a vehicle from here about a year ago, and was wanting some help lowering my payment or getting into a different vehicle with a lower payment. I called the dealership 3 times, left a voicemail, and emailed them once before I ever got any response. Once I did speak to the finance department, I was trying to explain the details of my situation and the gentleman said "oh yeah, yeah, come in. I'll take care of it. It won't be any problem. It will be worth your while." I went in the next day hopeful, only to be told that my situation was impossible to get me a lower payment and I should have told him on the phone my details. I informed him that I had tried the day before on the phone, but he kept cutting me off. On top of that, the sales man was very rude and disrespectful when I went back to talk to the man in finance - he talked poorly about me in front of me to another customer. Overall, I felt very dismissed. I wasn't mad about the car, I was upset about the service. I felt that going into the dealership where I leased my car would be a good idea because they would treat me well, but I was mistaken. I will not being going here anymore for anything major. I am definitely disappointed.

I am extremely pleased with Mazda of Clear Lake. I took my Mazda6 to a small local shop near my house for them to diagnose and repair a Check Engine Light. After several weeks and over a thousand dollars wasted trying to find a remedy, I called Mazda of Clear Lake. Initially I spoke to a gentleman named Dustin who was extremely informative and explained the difference between an Independent vs a Dealer . I worked with Mikal and Brian once I got my car to the shop. They had my vehicle diagnosed the same day, and parts arrived the next day. My car was repaired for $235 in two days after the other shop wasted much more time and money. I learned my lesson though. For now on I ll take my car to the dealer to SAVE money!

This why I hate auto dealerships. I took my wife s 2015 Mazda 5 in for a oil change to DeMonrond Mazda in Clear Lake. The oil change at the dealer is actually cheaper than the quick lube places. They wrote up $4,500 in Repairs.
They wanted to change every fluid in the the car including all my blood, sweat, and tears to boot! I think they also wanted to replace my spinal fluid because it was deteriorated.

Of course, if you look at the actual maintenance schedule for the car, none of these fluid changes are called for. One of the CV joint boots had a HINT of grease on it so of course, they both need to be completely replaced ... instead of replacing the boot.

I ll let Mustang auto in Friendswood take a quick look at it Thursday morning and find out what really needs to be done.

I purchased my second vehicle a 2015 Mazda 3 from this dealership. My salesman was Kizito and my experience was very pleasant. I am highly satisfied and would recommend this dealership to my family and friends.

I was lied to about a feature of the car we bought...

I was lied to about a feature of the car we bought. Remote Key-Less entry is not the same as "Key-Less Entry." I still have to dig for a key and push a button. I want the car to just know it was me, and open when I touch the door and the fob is within range of the receiver. I don't want the hassle of digging for a key in my purse while trying to wrangle a 5 month old and a 2 1/2 year old in a parking lot full of bad drivers. This really bothered me because this feature was something I really wanted in our new car...and we don't have that.

The worst though is the service we got AFTER the sale when we got the "extras" installed. (Tinted glass, a low-jack and remote start.) The tinting and Low-jack went okay -- the remote start went horribly wrong. The car was in and out of the service department for weeks and the tiny loaner car was TOTALLY insufficient for our family of 4.

Finally they had to reorder the part and gave us back the car with PIECES of the DASH LAYING ON THE FLOOR!

When the part came in I took it back again and asked that they PLEASE put the dash back together... but when I got the car back the piece was STILL on the floor...

SO -- I am going to attempt a THIRD trip to the service department to put this car back together but I am getting very unhappy about the service I have received!!

A couple of weeks ago, my wife and I purchased a CPO 2015 Maxda6 i Touring from Alex Saldivar at Mazda of Clear Lake. I was referred to Alex by a friend that had dealt with him on a Mazda3 purchase. It so happened that they had the car we were looking for. Even though we live in Willis, it was worth the drive down to Clear Lake. Alex was very professional and straightforward, and made the whole process as easy as possible. We will definitely be returning next time we make a vehicle purchase.

I have been a Mazda owner on several occasions since 1989. My last purchase was a 2010 Mazda CX7 so naturally when it came time to purchase my next vehicle, I looked toward a Mazda. The customer service was excellent! Otto Schnellbacher was so considerate of my needs and desires. I had test driven a couple vehicles with him almost a year ago, and when I returned last weekend to test drive again and bring my husband to get his opinion and make my purchase HE REMEMBERED ME! He remembered the details of my needs as we had discussed this on our test drive over a year ago. The purchasing process went smoothly and they were very accommodating. I am in LOVE with my 2018 Mazda CX5! The process took about 3 hours start to finish and we could not be more pleased with our purchase. I have had several years of dealings with Mazda Clearlake obtaining service on my 2010 and they have always been very friendly and most accommodating to my needs. Diane in service is truly a pleasure to interact with and understands from a female perspective which is nice!

BUYER BEWARE! Today my husband and I went in to buy one of the two 2020 Mazda 6 Signature's they advertise as having on the lot. When we arrived we were greeting by a very nice salesman who was very helpful and transparent with us from the beginning. He informed us that both of these BRAND NEW cars were being driven as "demos" by the manager and finance manager. That was surprising, but that's okay, I guess. We asked specifically to look at the dark blue, and the salesman goes off to get it. We could hear him in the back of the sales floor looking for the manager to collect the key, okay a little different again, but we will roll with it. He pulls around the car that is visibly dirty on the outside, not impressive. When we go out to look at the car the salesman lets us know this BRAND NEW top of the line Mazda 6 has 4600 miles on it! On the website it clearly states the mileage is 4. The inside of the car has coffee stains on the dash, and a deep scratch on the passenger front quarter panel by the windshield. The salesman assures us those will be taken care of before we pick the car up. Simply put we tell him we did not come here to buy a used car, and a car with 4600 on it is in fact used. The manager comes over to tell us that it is "technically new" because a title has never been issued, and since he has been driving it there are several "upgrades" that will be included. There is absolutely no way they will come down on the price. Needless to say were were floored (no pun intended) at this response. The manager insisted the car was in fact new and would be detailed before we picked it up. Before we left we were offered a look at the second of these two cars (we can only guess that the finance manager made it into work so we got to see it) this car had over 100 miles on it. We went in looking to buy a new Signature model and left wondering how this dealership stays in business.

This has never happened to me at Russell & Smith Mazda and doesn't usually happen here either. To be fair, they did warn me about this when I checked in but it was a total waste of a morning.

Sales guy seems nice , but they definitely have no interest in selling cars. Made couple offers on different cars and they didn t even bother to counter offer, suggest that we finance the difference, look and suggest other similar models, or even follow up on sales calls or voicemails left for management. My large family buys 2-3 cars a year and this was first attempt at Mazda. Definitely not selecting this make or dealer again.

UPDATE - got message from Demontrond indicating they were interested in my feedback. Provided my email and phone number for them to contact me. Never got contacted, I followed up to state i had not been contacted, again was not contacted. The business not only has no interest in selling cars but doesn't care to get feedback to improve after they ask for it. All this while the car I was interested in is still on their lot and has had a reduction in price. Like i said before, they have no interest in actually selling cars.

I can not express how my experience at Mazda of Clear Lake is so different from other dealerships. The staff there do not play games or try to manipulate their customers. Matt and Michael at Mazda truly made my experience buying my new CX-5 enjoyable and quite special. I have recommended my best friend to purchase a car there, and of course, Matt and Michael gave my friend the star treatment! She is just as happy as I am with the professionalism and attention given at Mazda of Clear Lake. I highly recommend that you shop here and no where else!

I would NOT recommend anyone to buy from this place. bought my wife a new suv on April 18th, 2014 . my first payment was scheduled for jun 1st. when I purchased the car I bought the extended warranty. the account managers exact words were " it covers everything from power seats, to navigation , to the motor". The first week the a/c quit blowing cold, the passanger mirror stopped working & the chrome exterior trim started coming off. I contacted the service department, which they told me to bring it in. they needed to keep it a couple days so they gave me a loaner car which all four of my kids could not it. 3 days later they called to inform me neither of the issues were covered under warranty and the totol was $900.. so before my FIRST PAYMENT WAS EVEN DUE I'm putting close to a $1,000 in repairs! no to mention I paid $3500 for down payment. I feel completely used and will NEVER DO BUISSNES WITH THESE CONN ARTISTS AGAIN!

Chris made the purchase of our pre-owned vehicle effortless. He explained the vehicle s equipment and feathers thoroughly. We viewed the vehicle online, and then test drove the vehicle. Chris had the paper work ready and in no time we were leaving with the vehicle. Because of Chris outstanding customer service and thoroughness this has been yet another great vehicle purchasing experience.

It was my first time buying a vehicle (Mazda3) from a dealership and it was a great experience! I was not pressured into buying the vehicle and the price was the lowest I could find in the state of Texas (which is why I traveled 300 miles to check it out). The car was ready for me to test out when I arrived and it exceeded my expectations. They make you feel comfortable and answer any questions you may have.

The only con was that I was not able to negotiate the price; it made sense though because it was already priced extremely low and a few thousand dollars below their competitors pricing. So I didn't feel too bad about getting a lower price since it was an unbeatable deal.

They were slightly pushy about the bumper to bumper warranty which they were able to convince me to purchase. Since I plan on keeping the vehicle for the long haul, it made sense to purchase it though.

Originally, I was wary from all these positive reviews since it seemed too good to be true but they all turned out to be right!
I will definitely look forward to doing business with them again in the future!

I had a really good experience buying with Mazda of Clear Lake. They treated me very well, and even included lifetime synthetic oil changes for the duration of my ownership of the CX-5 Grand Touring they sold me.

Demontrond honored that promise for at least one, maybe two, oil changes, and then informed me on the last visit that would be the last complimentary oil change.

So the loyalty and trust the previous dealership built up was destroyed, because Demontrond was too cheap to honor a deal that honestly wasn't very costly their service department and could have led to service upsells and eventually a new car sale.

Instead, I will never shop with any business that carries the Demontrond name going forward. Buyers beware of how they do business!

UPDATE: I emailed the address they provided in their reply to this review. Twice. No response.

That's the sort of attention to detail and responsiveness you should expect from this dealership, and one of many good reasons to take your business elsewhere.

They will also change dated on the paperwork, then when you call them they will either not answer,hang up, or not return calls like they say they will. They are very dishonest. Please becareful. While I really appreciate the friendly staff and receiving a discount for maintenance since we bought my Mazda at this location, I m frustrated that my tire pressure indicator turned on a little less than 2 hours after picking up my car. Our pressure gauge showed that all the tires were off by 6-9 psi, despite being told they were checked as part of the maintenance package that I paid for. Easy to fix myself with adding air at a station, but I m just hoping nothing else was overlooked. I ll be calling in the morning to let the service team know.

Excellent Service! We finally found what car my daughter wanted and I was able to find one here at this dealership. We were assisted by Alex and since we are over an hour away, he made sure we were able to complete items via email, text, and then come sign the final paperwork in the office. They found me a better interest rate for financing, car is really nice, excellent price, and Alex made sure it was marked sold so no one else would have it while we processed everything. My daughter is really happy. Thank you Alex for taking care of us!

Not the best service when I bought my Mazda5 from them, but the icing on the cake is the service department is the worse I have ever seen or heard of. Service Manager kept telling me he was going to do things, but didn't and kept complaining to me that he was so busy. My car sat for a week before they looked at it and they still did not resolve the problem. I was belittled on the phone each time I had my car in for service. First I was told that I did not rotate my tires enough, but records showed that I had. My sirius radio went out and the service manager told me I didn't have Sirius radio???? He told me looks can be deceiving, maybe you were listening to something else? Don't take your care there please!!! Save the hassle.

We just had the BEST car buying experience we have ever had thanks to the employees of Mazda clear lake! Mirza Beg, our sales consultant was very polite and understanding of exactly what we were wanting and needing. He and Ahmad khalil made sure to keep our budget as their number one priority. Together we were able to find a great car and a great price. Giovanni Suarez is a wonderful manager! He was more than accommodating to our questions and concerns when going through the signing process. While we were there several other employees casually chatted with us and kept the whole experience feeling light and comfortable. We felt like we were there relaxing and joking with old friends. It does NOT feel like "just another dealership"...which means the people here know exactly what they are doing and they aced it!!! Great team of people here. They are kind, caring, funny, helpful and much more. I highly recommend Mazda Clear Lake to everyone. They made Mazda users out of us for life!

We had a great sales guy and we were excited because we were almost positive we d be leaving with the car we wanted and then we got told what they would give us for our trade in... they offered us $1000 less than what we were offered at another dealership and would not budge on going any higher. Why would I trade my car in when I know I can get $1000 more somewhere else? They also do not go by their online pricing system at all. I get that my car wasn t in perfect condition but I included all imperfections when doing their online quote system and was offered way less than what their system said. They were clearly trying to rip us off on our trade.

When I got there it turned out there was a screw embedded in the tire. They fixed the tire immediately while I waited and then also helped me understand what turned out to be a simple setting issue for my Navigation. After having my engine die (covered under warranty), my vehicle was taken to Mazda of Clear Lake on May 22nd. After being told my vehicle would be ready on the 10th or 11th, they kept pushing the date back. The 13th or 14th. On the 17th. Finally, on the 19th, they told me they 'by chance' found a problem with a cooling fan. Not having a satisfactory answer as to why this was important, or if it was covered under my warranty, I decided to call Mazda to express my concerns about the length of time it was taking, as well as the strangeness of the man handeling my case. They said it wasn't covered, but it's strange this is taking so long and they would call Mazda of Clear Lake for me. I also decided to have my boyfriend call to get more information about the car (I don't claim to understand cars at all). He called, left a message, and received a call back from the man handeling my car- who BERATED him for my 'badmouthing' him to Mazda.
Now, if he had a PROBLEM with what I said, he should have spoken to ME rather than my boyfriend. He should have had more professionalism- even if I HAD said something wretched about him- which I didn't. However, my nightmare doesn't end there.
I spoke to the service manager and he 'counseled' the young man in question, and took some money off the service charge. Fine.
Then he calls me a few days later and said they broke my radiator. Don't worry, I was told, we broke it, so it will be of no cost to you.
Imagine my surprise this morning when I FINALLY went to pick up my car (The 26th of JUNE), to find that I was charged for the fan AND the radiator. Not labor, but the parts. I didn't say anything to the service manager at that point, just wanting to LEAVE this place!!

Now the GM isn't taking my calls or responding to messages.

PLEASE don't take your car here for service! I'm sure their sales associates are very kind and trustworthy, but the service department- NOT AT ALL! Save yourself TIME and a HEADACHE and take your car ANYWHERE else for service!

The GM NEVER called me, and now my engine is MISFIRING AGAIN. I feel I have been dealt the equivalent of having the chef spit in your food when it's been sent back for something.

So: You want horrible service where they don't do things correctly and treat you like an idiot??? Here's a good place for you to start.

He stated on the phone before we made it to the lot that he would most definitely have us driving away. And that he did. After researching for hours on end, I found the best priced used vehicles and the best options on the Mazda of Clear Lake website. I was contacted by Alex Saldivar who helped me through the whole process and did not pressure me at all. He came in on his day off simply because I asked to test drive the vehicle. He did not try to trick me with any questions about a down payment, about how much I wanted to finance, etc. which I greatly appreciated as well. I now, for the first time ever, own my very own car (2016 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring) and I couldn't be happier with my choice or with Alex's customer service. I would recommend him to anyone! This was about a month ago but now that my car is fixed and I have found a dealership that actually knows what good customer service is I can take some time to leave my review. I'd honestly give zero stars if I could. Bought a 3 here because I was in a bind a few years ago and I should have sacrificed and kept looking. My first experience with the dealership was with my wife back in 2012 when she was looking at buying a 3 for herself and the salesmen all treated her like it was her privilege to be at the dealership. I bought my 3 a few years later and was told it came with free oil changes(well it turns out after that it only is two per year). I was also told that a benefit of purchasing from Mazda of Clear Lake is whenever my vehicle would need maintenance or service they would provide a loaner car and this is where I had my last straw. I made an appointment to drop off my car to have warranty work done on the a/c and when I was checking the car in the service adviser asked who would be picking me up to leave my car. When I responded that I was told I would have a loaner when I bought the car if it ever needed service I was met with an eye roll and then told, 'only if we have any left to loan out and we just don't right now'. The disrespect of the eye roll was enough to set me off, but then the fact that he told me that the appointment I made was just to check the vehicle in and talk with a service adviser, and again with an attitude that it was my privilege that they would talk to a lowly customer like myself! After storming out of the dealership I called Russell & Smith Mazda and asked if they provide loaner cars for service and was told Mazda as a company wants their dealers to SET ASIDE a car when someone makes an appointment as a general practice to make sure the customer was taken care of! I honestly wonder how the owner/operator visualized his business plan for his dealership because the way they treat people it appears their entire goal is "Just sell the car" and not worry about building a relationship to earn someone's future business.
