Dustin Spookey (Service Director) at Mazda Clearlake does a fantastic job of making sure the customer's needs and inquiries are properly handled and taken care of. I have known Dustin from the day I purchased my vehicle. Dustin goes above and beyond to take care of his customers. Recently I had some things that I noticed when I had taken my vehicle recently for regular service . I called Dustin and spoke to him. He asked me to schedule another appointment to come-in to take a look. He made sure all my needs were taken care of and got his team to do a great job once again. He always makes his customer leave with full satisfaction.

We bought a 2014 Mazda CX5 and David the sales manager got us in contact with Matthew Kinard who showed a great deal of knowledge about the car and was extremely helpful in all respects. The high level of professionalism by these two individuals starting from the initial contact to the final sale is to be commended. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of the finance department where the agent was trying to push items we did not want and manage to sneak in an item that we did not ask about nor were informed about at any point.

ThursJanuary 12, I was contacted by a rep name of Mandy stated that she was responding to an app I submitted online asked was I interested She then proceeded to ask what kind of vehicle I was in the market for I stated an Infiniti FX. I was prepared to spend up to 675 a mth on a note I told her again that I was not interested in a new Volvo, Honda or Mazda. I drove a Ford Expedition which I paid off in full in a little over 2 years for 19,000. However due to mechanical problems and gas prices I have decided not to sink any further money into fixing it. I was interested in the Infiniti fx for the body style and the amenities, not the brand itself. Before I got off the phone I asked Mandy did they have a car like that available at the dealership I could view. She said yes, 5 or 6 and I asked how much were they she said it works different and that my note for a vehicle like that would be around 556.00 a mth and was that something I was interested in. I set an appointment and meet with the dealership that evening around 7 When I arrived I asked to speak with Frank or Daniel. Frank came over introduced his self and told me to fill out the paper work I did so and questioned him about the Infiniti's they had in stock. He stated to me they had one fully loaded for 40,000, and asked could I afford a note of 700-800 a month. I said I did not want a note like that and told him what Mandy re-laid He got up and said that he needed me to complete the paper application and make copies He brought back the copies and asked was I done yet I said no not yet, he walked off and left. assumed he would be back shortly. Frank was gone for about 30 to 40 mins not informing me that he had step away for a moment. I asked some of the associates in the dealership He came in and asked me to come outside he found the perfect car for me with all the extras of the Infiniti and that I would be excited. I walked out side and there was a Volvo? He told me to get in I said no I am not interested in purchasing a Volvo due to the fact that I did not want a car and I do not like Volvos. He told me to just sit in it I said no again I do not want that. "Well what do you want" I stated I want an Infiniti or something like it not a car. At that point this sales associate proceeded to not yell but scream at me "YOU CAN NOT AFFORD AN INFINITI." I was in shock! I said wait a minute you do not know me or my situation you just see numbers on a sheet of paper. He screamed at me again " I JUST TOLD YOU YOU CAN NOT AFFORD AN INFINITI." My mother was with me and my two daughters observing this man mistreat me and disrespect me in public. I asked him for my paperwork and the name of a manager. He stepped up and got in my face and told me he was the manager and cursed at me. After that he went off again about how much I made and how the bank is not going to finance me for a car like that and that I was out of my league and told me again what I could and could not afford. I told him that I did research and all Infiniti fx do not cost over 40,000 and that my aunt who works at Sterling McCall Lexus has one there for 24,000, but the mileage was too high This man was in my face 3" away yelling at me just going off after he finished he told me to get the F*** out of here and cursed some more and speeded off in the Volvo. I was embarrassed, ashamed and disgusted in the way I was treated at this dealership. I could not understand why this man is degrading me outside in the parking area. I felt that due to the type of loan I had applied for that he felt that I was less than a person I did not expect to be miss treated due to my current circumstances

Be sure you know a mechanic and have a lawyer before you even step on their lot! They sold me a used car for $7600 that they knew had a problematic engine, and when it broke down 30 days later BEFORE I EVEN GOT THE PLATES, they were quick to hold their hand out for another $5600 for a new engine. But was I getting a new engine? NOPE. They were going to replace the old engine with a new engine that had more miles on it than the old one! So I took it elsewhere to be repaired. The sales people were very nice but management can seriously go take a flying leap. You made my life hell and I tell everyone that will listen about this and they all have the same response so I will definitely NOT be going there . I really don t know how you people sleep at night. Special thanks to Ahmad for putting in absolutely ZERO effort to resolve the issue! Thank you sooooo much.
Between Kenny and Alex, no matter your situation you will leave with a car!!! I called Alex and told him everything and as long as your up front and honest he will get you done!! I originally called to check on the warranty date of my used Mazda I had just purchased from another company. I was told that it had already expired. Several days later, my battery went out and while I was looking at paperwork, realized that my warranty should actually have still been in effect. I called back and the service manager looked into the situation, realized the mistake, helped me get my battery replaced and more than compensated me with another service comped. They were a pleasure to do business with, quick, informative and so positive. They will be my go-to service department going forward.
Service is excellent. I go there for all my vehicle's needs and get treated first class. Prices are good and service fast. They don't try to oversell me on things that my cars are not ready for. Will do all my servicing there!! Ask for Brian - he's awesome!!

I love Mazda of Clear Lake. I set an appointment for an oil change online. Took in my car on a Saturday morning at my scheduled time, and left it there because I had some work to do. I received a personalized text message with contact details when I left and another when it was ready, which was really quick!

I recently purchased a certified pre-owned vehicle from Mazda of Clear Lake. The entire team made my car-buying experience very smooth. I worked with Kenny throughout the process from the initial test drive through post purchase requirements. Kenny was EXTREMELY helpful and patient in answering all of the questions I had as he took me through the entire process. We bought a brand new Mazda and thanks to Houston roads 6 days after we bought it we busted a tire and needed a new one.
Mind you this car was bought brand new and had 700 miles on it.
We brought the car in on a Saturday and was told they had to order the tire but it would be in Monday. I was also quoted 230 for the replacement tire and all the extras they add on. So we left the car there and Monday at 4pm I finally called to ask if the tire came in and I was told they were putting the tire on and would call me back when it was done. At 5 I received a phone call and was told the price was 268. When I questioned the price I was told 191 was for the tire, 24 was for the balancing and putting the tire on, there was also a disposal fee, and Uncle Sam wants his fair share
We get there and notice right off the bat that they didn t bother cleaning the grease off the tire nor did they put a new valve stem cover on...things that even discount tire would have done without even asking.
We pay the bill and then notice that we were charged for an oil change. Why would you change the oil on a brand new car with only 700 miles on it? Especially when it came in for a new tire? And why was that part of the bill left off when I questioned the price at 5pm? And funny enough the extra 30 bucks that the bill magically went up to from Saturday is the exact amount they charge for an oil change....
I ve tried calling the manager and he s always on the other line, but will return my call shortly....I m not holding out hope I ll actually get that phone call. This dealership has already proven that it is perfectly okay with lying so it s hard to have faith that they will actually call me back to resolve this issue.

We had a great experience with Dan. He was professional and showed us every car we wanted to look at, took us for a couple of test drives and didn't pressure us into making a decision that day. A couple of days later I reached out to him, agreed on a price and went in to pickup the vehicle that evening. When we got there the vehicle was out front, clean and ready to go. He already had the paperwork ready to review and sign. The sales manager came by to introduce himself and congratulate us on the purchase. Even the finance guy was really nice and laid back. He was very professional and thoroughly went through all of our options and answered all of our questions. It was an overall pleasant experience which is hard to find when purchasing a vehicle.

Check all their math and never fall for them selling you on the payment, negotiate the vehicle price and finance rate, NEVER EVER BE SOLD ON A PAYMENT AMOUNT! BEWARE!!!

DON t buy cars in this dealership. I was persuaded to buy an extended warranty by the finance person that closed the final deal when I bought my car a few years ago. It was ensured to me that if I did not use the extended warranty they would return 100 percent of my money ($2,250 USD). I never used the warranty and when it was time to ask for my money back the dealer did not honored the agreement. Saddly they stated: We don t offer that deal anymore . When this news got to my ears I was devastated as I had deposited my trust into a Dealership that did not honor their words. It turns out to be that verbally the fiannce person ensured us that was a standard deal and now the new management added we needed to have another form (that we doubt it existed in the first place, in order to give us the money back). I requested to see a copy of the papers we signed when we closed the deal, to see if they did have that form they were refering to (as they should have also a copy).The new General Sales Manager, said he would look into the paperwork and give me a call if they would find any proof that the warranty stated that I would get my money back 100 percent if unused. I m still waiting for that call. Please note the new sales manager kindly offered me to recover my warranty money ONLY if I bought a brand new car as a way to help me. That was all he could do for us. Long story short, sadly, I lost $2,250 USD that was promised to be returned to me if unused, which was a LIE!!!! just to get more money from me when I bought my car. To close this review: I was considering buying a new MAZDA before this experience, but this Dealership has tornish the brand s reputation for me. The fact that I deposited my TRUST at the time of closing my deal into a Finance manager and years later they give me the run around tells you what type of business this is. TO MAZDA: please pay attention to how dealerships treat your happy customers. Customer LOYALTY is not an easy thing to win, but is very easy to

This rating and review applies to our salesperson Otto Schnellbacher. Otto is very knowledgeable about the Mazda product line and history of the brand. We purchased a Certified Pre-Owned 2016.5 CX-5 Grand Touring for my wife. She is disabled so accessibility is very important to us. Otto is very patient and answered all of our questions and even made it possible for us to test fit my wife's wheelchair in the cargo area. We had a great test drive as well where Otto continued to demonstrate his extensive knowledge of the product line showing us additional features we didn't cover earlier at the dealership. His focus on customer service and kindness is greatly appreciated and the greatest selling point for us. We would definitely purchase another vehicle from Otto.

DO NOT BUY YOUR Cars From Here. They do not honor their warranties. My husband paid 2,000 dollars towards a warranty. Well last year,he went to the dealership to get the money from the warranty since we didn't use nothing but maybe 100 dollars on car parts towards it. My husband asked when we could get the money back. The guy got his manger and said to come back on July 29th 2015 and we would be able to get the money since it had to be some many yrs before we could get it back. Today 8-3-15 we went to get the money and the guy told my husband that it was void because they don't do that anymore. My husband told them that, we paid the 2,000 warranty because you said it would go towards parts for the car and if what ever money , we did not use, would be refunded back. The guys said well I guess you will have to get a lawyer because you not getting any money out of us. They said if we would have come before july that we would have received it, but because we came now it was void. They told us to come July 29th. So they lied to us there times then told him to leave like he was a criminal. The real criminal is Mazda of Clear Lake...NEVER ....EVER trust them. They liars and thief's!!!!!!!!!!! Negative 5 stars is more like it

Our sales rep Otto was very helpful and didn't pressure us into making a quick decision..Went in Saturday morning for a test drive and was allowed to take my test drive for the weekend...LOVED how everything went smooth..no delays in getting the deal closed when we went back in on Monday. No pressure on buying extended warranty. Everything was a smooth process...definitely recommend this dealer...go and Ask for Otto!
Walked in for dashboard error message. Promptly accommodated, problem attended and detected a failing baytery as the cause of error, replaced and off I go in about an hour. Great service.

Several years ago, I owned a Mazda 3 and thought I d never be able to let go of it. It was the best car! A few years ago, life took a left turn and I wound up in a Camaro. The Camaro did not make it through Hurricane Harvey and I decided it was time to go back to my first love. We went to Clear Lake Mazda and had the pleasure of being introduced to Daniel Garcia. His customer service skills immediately shined through as he only seemed focused on finding us the perfect fit car. The car we found immediately sold itself but without Daniels patience and graciousness, we couldn t have completed the deal without him. He proved to be one of the top salesman and mentioned he had only been doing this for less than a few years - who would ve ever known! He is trustworthy, knowledgeable and personable. If my first time with Clear Lake Mazda wasn t great enough to bring me back, he definitely has our word to come back a third time!

I have an appointment for an oil change originally for October 19 but I'm not available on that day so, I called the Service Department to reschedule. The guy who answered the phone said that I'm all set for October 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. but when I went there, Chris simply told me that there's no appointment under my name and if I want, I can wait till they're done with the other customers. I even took an off just to be there for the oil change prior to my doctor's appointment at 12 noon. Worst is, I e-mailed the Manager but he ignores my e-mail...no reply even after 3 days already. I will NEVER recommend them to my family and friends.
