When I saw the LTS foreman, Rick Wyckoff, with his truck, studying the vacant lot across the street from my home on Wedgewood Lake Drive, I went out to inquire. I knew him, and asked him whether the property was for sale, and he said he didn t know. I didn t even seriously consider inquiring with the landowner, whoever that might be, because I thought surely the foreman, or at least when my inquiry got back to Mr. LTS himself and the others, they would tell me what was up. I figured they were checking it out in case it went up for sale. I found out long after, that some weeks later they had went to the landowner and bought the property for 27.5k. The honorable thing to do would have been to give me a chance to bid. Better, what a sterling company would do, would be to inform the immediate neighbors that they will be bartering with the landowner and give them a chance to bid on a property not listed for sale, before purchasing it. And even when I mentioned to Mr. LTS through this medium that I would like to buy it back from them at cost, he declined. (I heard from a friend that they WILL sell you a lot that they just purchased, but will include in the sale price the profits they would have made, so you better be rich, because it will likely double the cost, or more.) When I saw my vacant lot where I would eventually have my home built, there was an old for sale sign there. Everyone in the neighborhood had a long prior chance to bid on the property. I told LTS about it, to build my home. They did not even know about Wedgewood Lake Drive, as far as I know, until I told them in 2013. Now the lot across the street on Wedgewood Lake Drive, which LTS surreptitiously purchased, is soon undergoing construction. There are beautiful tall trees, and every one of them has a pink dot meaning that soon they will all be buzz sawed down. Located to the west, they shade my house in summer from about 5 PM to sunset, keeping it cooler.
