Being a full-time engineering student here is very stressful. The schedule given is very tight and rushing, as if the world is going to end tomorrow. Students learn to forget, not a meaningful lifelong education. When there is public holiday, lecturers has to find a date for make-up class since there are many topics crammed into a module.. Come here if u are looking to dedicate most of your time to studies... An unpleasant schooling experience for me

The first polytechnic in Singapore, situated right next to Dover MRT station. 6 food courts, with food court 2 having the best priced food. Also there are McDonald's, KFC, Subway and LJS and also a Starbucks. Plenty of pleasure places to study between or after classes. It does take some time to walk from one end of the poly to the other, about 3 bus stops...

Quality education. Friendly teachers. Have latest equipment to practical experience. This is one of oldest polytechnic institution in Singapore. I have completed advanced diploma from SP. I feel proud that I was students of this institute. Still I am missing SP and my classmates.

The first polytechnic in Singapore, situated right next to Dover MRT station. 6 food courts, with food court 2 having the best priced food. Also the only poly to have McDonald's, KFC, Subway and LJS. There is also a Starbucks. Plenty of places to study between or after classes. The library isn't the only place for it. It does take some time to walk from one end of the poly to the other, about 3 bus stops...

A tertiary institution with an open culture with activities that are open to the public. This polytechnic has the luxury of having the Dover MRT station at its doorstep! At 0.38 square kilometres, it is also the largest and the oldest Polytechnic in Singapore. Food choices seemed to be a forte of tertiary institutions in Singapore, and Singapore Polytechnic is no exception, boasting of six food courts and six F&B outlets, including fast food joints KFC, Ya Kun Kaya Toast, Subway, McDonalds, and Starbucks! Awesome!

Lousy institution. Lousy lecturers like Chia Su-Shyng (from NJC in her schooling days). Just posted a single liner until reading Jazreel s review a while ago coincidentally. Have to agree this lecturer mentioned above made my child life in SP v difficult and was very bias towards certain group of students. Eventually, she scolded my child (it s ok if my child is wrong but it wasn t!) and humiliated and made my child cry in front of everyone! Why? Because my child asked her why deserved a B grade due to her bias marking politely!!! She still asked my child about the motive behind doing so when my child even gave her full marks for teacher s evaluation! Ridiculous! Thanks for pulling my child s GPA down wicked woman!

The first Polytechnic established in Singapore offering diverse industry diploma courses for post secondary graduates and professional adult learning programmes. Situated in the hotbed of higher education prowess with National University of Singapore and Ngee Ann Polytechnic within short traveling distance. The only tertiary institution in Singapore with its own MRT station (Dover). Being a former student with fond memories of student life there, this gets rated all the stars in my book.

Was doing cfa(basically home-based learning but doing assignments). The lecturer didn't let me in although i key in the right zoom meeting id and password. I put my name and admin no. too. Maybe they should consider getting younger lecturers instead of this old auntie.

Best years of my studying days to date. Majority of the teachers are very helpful! I love that teachers are less strict on students, but this is good as it allows you to OTOT & be mature enough to know when to relax or work hard. Graduated in 2017 and now in ntu. Miss this place, good times.

One of the oldest polytechnics in Singapore. Located in Dover, it is my alma mater, haha. From design to facilities are perfect. Starbucks inside Food Court 5 buys one get one free every Wednesday afternoon. Enter the gate, the left hand is the design school and the library, the right hand is the business school and Hill Top Library, go straight to the Admin Office.

Hire part-time lecturers like Mdm Tan-See Choy Ping who has no proper background in chemistry.

Received a tip-off that she caused a student to be badly injured in the lab yet still continued with her lessson as though nothing has happened. The student had to see a doctor ASAP and thankfully received treatment there after the student s parents drove there. The doctor was enraged and said if it was any later, serious consequences to the injury could have taken place. (Student also provided evidence to me) However, she was unrepentant and refused to admit her mistakes, saying that it s minor and asked the student to settle it herself; in one point, even going to the washroom to do her own business and asked the student to clean up her own mess instead of applying first aid for her. She also bribed the TSO into saying that no such thing has involved even when there re so many evidences lying around. She was angry and gave the student a D- grade although the student scored 60+ (a B) for the paper! As this case has past, apparently, news outlets and I weren t able to seek justice for the student. As such, hope that by posting here, I can help my Friend gain some form of justice.

Update: She is also teaching private tuition now so pls don t be scammed by her - picture as attached in my profile to Singapore Polytechnic

Good environment. Good experience. Learned something useful as a student here. I will recommend this place to any eager student. Canteen food is good. The staff and teachers are friendly and dedicated. Diverse student population from different background.

Studied here for 3 years, it was a wonderful experience. Surrounded by good people and good food.
There are 6 food courts, 2 manna cafes (their mac and cheese, meatballs are very popular), Macdonalds (very close to Dover MRT Station), lots of water coolers and vending machines.

We went during the Open house, wanted to get on the bus tour but student leader lead us to the schools instead..... We were literally lost.
We took 30 minutes trying to find the right location for the bus tour because there were students leading us to the wrong place.
The school is huge and We struggled recognising the right location.
i advise: go with the tour bus and ensure that you know where you are heading to.
