LG, why don't you honor your warranty? 6 month old washing machine has been down almost 2 weeks and you have yet to get a technician to my home. We are now over 6 scheduled service calls that have been no-shows or cancelled by LG or the contractor.

Horrible customer service. My LG G4, which was functioning perfectly, got stuck in a boot loop which, by the way, is an extremely common issue. Instead of standing by there product and fixing or replacing the phone, they stated the phone has water damage and is not covered. This is strange as I never dropped my phone in water. Seems they just needed an excuse to avoid repairing my phone. I've traditionally purchased LGs in the past however after this experience, I believe it's time to switch to Samsung. If you currently own a LG, GOOD LUCK!

LG phones are junk. I have 3 of them and one works but it has been repaired once. Do not buy a LG phone. As soon as it is out of warranty it fails and then you are out of luck. LG does not repair any out of warranty phones and if they are in warranty one has to provide information that is only inside a broken phone.

I had the worst experience with this company. They forced a system update through my daughters phone which caused the phone to stop working. My cell company replaced the phone twice, then they contacted LG, LG told them that yes they were aware of the problems, though they had not told the cell phone company. My provider talked to them and to me, they told my provider that it would only take a week total to get my phone back to me, including shipping, we decided this was the quickest and easiest way to go. When I called to check on my phone, they had just logged it in even though they had already had it for 3 days, then I was told that it would still be 5- 7 more business days until they shipped it out. I explained my dire situation and why I needed my daughters phone returned so quickly and all they could say was sorry, we have to follow process, they would not even ship my phone back right away so my provider could just replace it. They do not care for the customer nor do they care when their updates mess up the phones, all they say is things happen, they were rude and barely understandable, not willing to give out corporate info, and the supervisors can't seem to help with anything, SO disgusted with LG, no one in my house will ever own another LG again. Next stop Better Business Burea and Facebook.

This review regards our experience with a company known as LG. Based on our experience, and for reasons set out below, we cannot recommend that you deal with this company.

My wife and I had a covered porch converted to an extra room. The room required a separate heat and air conditioning HVAC system.

The system we purchased consisted of LG products, heating and air conditioning facilities from the LG Art Cool Gallery : an indoor unit containing a picture for aesthetics and an outdoor unit. Electrical wiring connecting the units and a humidity drain pass through the wall (please see the pictures) to the outside.

The original agreed upon price for the units and installation turned out to be $3,853 plus $280 extra for the electrician s wiring. However, subsequently we were informed that the outside unit was no longer produced by LG and that we would have to pay $240 extra for an alternative unit.

Since one of our room s triple-pane Pella windows had been ordered custom-made in width to accommodate the passage between the HVAC units, we had no choice but to pay the $240.

The indoor unit contains a receiver which responds to a remote controller (transmitter). With the remote controller one can select Heat or Cool or Auto. The Owner s Manual contains this note regarding the Auto selection: This function properly operates when you use the remote controller matching each model. Since the remote controller was sent with the unit it should have matched our LG model. It didn t. We were never informed about the inoperability.

After discovering that the Auto would not work, I emailed the LG customer service. LG s response: Hello Michael, we truly appreciate your patience in dealing with your inquiry and we are pleased to inform you that we have a specialized team to assist you further. It followed with a link to the "specialized team" Web site, an email address, and two phone numbers.

It invited me to call, email, or chat anytime, and I tried each but was promptly instructed by each that I should contact the HVAC installer. The installer s response was that the remote controller would not work on Auto with the alternative unit set-up for which we paid the extra $240.

Further, to enable the Auto to work, we were informed that we would have to pay $214.03 more for parts plus an additional unspecified amount for installation. Since our new room construction was almost complete, we have no choice but to pay the additional charges.

We would never ever even remotely consider dealing with this company again.

They are using pandemic (poor excuse)for a VERY POOR AND TERRIBLE COSTUMER SERVICE.
My dishwasher broke and i have reported the problem on September 2, today is October 15 .Technician was scheduled to come out on the 12 at the end of a day i was notified that he will not be coming out and got rescheduled for another 2 weeks for 26.
Will never buy any LG products again.
There is an option that you can write a letter to the CEO,but after you fill it out all info you get a message (system error) .
Very disappointed in the LG products and their luck of support and customer service!

Customer Service and Warranty is non-existent!

I submitted the claim on May 28th, 2019 regarding malfunction of my current phone (LG G6+). The Second Year Warranty Department (the LG vendor) indicated that they don't have a replacement phone in stock.

There was no ETA on when the replacement phone will be available, or the replacement / repair would occur.. It's been 10 days without a functioning phone - still not ETA. No communication.

The experience has been frustrating to say the least, and I am currently without a functioning phone. This experience has left me with not wanting to purchase or recommend a LG product in the future.

January 2016 I purchased an LG 900 wireless headphone, and last December it stopped working for some unknown reason. Since the headset was under warranty, I immediately contacted LG's support center and returned the headset for repair or replacement. The headset I returned was silver and the replacement that was sent to me was black, when I specifically requested a silver. Once again I contacted the customer support team and returned the headset. Since that time I've been going back and forth trying resolve this issue. Each time I called I spent more than an hour on the phone trying to explain that I did not want a black headset, and each time I returned the headset they would send the same one back to me; four times to be exact. How is this possible? These conversations are extremely frustrating because the representatives seem to be reading from a script and unable to understand what I'm saying. Each time I was told that I had to accept the black headset because I checked the box for a black, what box? My request was made via phone. The turnaround time for returning the headset and having it shipped back to me is approximately three weeks.

Needless to say; I'm extremely frustrated and upset because I ve been without a headset for approximately three months, and I ve wasted hours trying to get the issue resolved.

This is by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had while dealing with any company.

I HAVE PURCHASED A DIFFERENT MODEL AND MY LG IS GOING OUT ON THE SIDEWALK WITH A BIG SIGN.
To top off my experience I used their diagnostic APP twice and both times the results showed the unit was working properly Temperature inside the unit was 60 degrees.
Had to discard a lot of food.
Most of their call center techs use a script but when u tell them u use their app to troubleshoot they are then totally lost.
Best wishes if you have any LG PRODUCTS.

Have a LG washer (front load) that was bought from Best Buy in April 2006. It has periodically had leaking problems, which was serviced by Best Buy. 2 weeks ago, it started leaking again. LG referred me to a national service comany A&E Factory Service. Made appointment for 3 days later. On that day, they called in sick. Next appointment was 1 week later (now 10 days after initial call). Called new company on LG list that was only 2 miles away. Came out next business day. Said my stainless steel drum was warped. Which most likely was warped from the beginning. It is under Lifetime warrantee, becaues what can go bad with it, unless it was bad to begin with (it was). It was cutting into the seal which was causing the leak. After he started repair, he found that the intter drum was actually cutting the plastic outer drum and finally cut all the way through the plastic outer drum. Part is no longer made (7 year max for LG to make product). Called LG to see if they would pay for labor or anything. They said NO. Told him that this part was probably bad from the beginning. He didn't disagree, but said that only the stainless steel drum (the orginal culprit in this problem and the cause of the bad seal and the outer drum being damaged). is warranteed. Part has to purchased as an replacement part. I have to pay for labor, seal, outer drum to the tune of $400. The problem was all caused by a part that was probably defective from the beginning that is under a lifetime warrantee, but nothing else is covered. LG does not take any responsibility for faulty manufacturing and how was I to know that it was warped???

Have bought several LG devices. Had window air conditioner go intermittent 2 months after install. Called LG and they told me to call for service and seemed as if I would have to pay for repairs. I installed second one I got a week later to see if it did same. No it works OK. Called LG customer service and they sent out Mid America Service. Had tech arrive, did not trouble shoot but ordered new compressor. Next tech showed with part but trouble shoot and thought logic board was bad. Ordered it, replaced it. Problem still exists. He said they won't do compressor replace as R32 Freon is too expensive. Told me to call LG back. They show call was completed. Total lack of customer service! I know about customer service as I have been in computers and such since 1978. Not how I treat my customers!

This company s customer service is non-existent. I purchased a 65 tv that stopped working after less than 15 uses. They made me take a photo of the black screen so they could troubleshoot the problem. They ordered parts from this photo. When the parts arrived and finally the repairman came, the parts did not fix the problem. To date I have spent 3.9666 hours on the phone, mostly on hold, and I still have a black screen and no one to help me. They have completely dropped the ball. No follow up. I can t speak to the same person twice so I ve had to repeat the story every time I call, a least a half dozen times. This product cost $2600. What do I do??? HELP

Very bad company. They absolutely do not stand behind their products. My LG G4 went into a boot loop and became a brick. The LG support people admitted that the issue is a factory manufacturer defect in the mother board. They said that LG is fully aware of the defect in these phones and that it is an extremely common problem. Still, they will not repair or replace the phone. I will never purchase an LG product again and I suggest that you avoid them.

I have an LG French door refrigerator that I paid north of $3,000 for in July of 2017. Last Friday (April 24, 2020) my refrigerator had a complete failure. The unit stopped cooling, freezing, and I called my extended warranty company. It took them until the next day to come out and tell me it was covered by LG under their sealed system warranty.
So, luckily I had initiated contact with LG today prior and they sent a link for the issue. I visited the link, and it was a pain, so, I phoned to talk to an actual person. They took all of the information I provided in the email all over again. They then informed me they had dispatched it to a local provider. Luckily, I got the companies name and number. This was now Monday 04/27. I called the company as soon as I got off with LG in the interest of expediting the service call. I was informed by the owner that the company was under quarantine due to an employee being exposed. He also stated he informed LG on numerous occasions of the quarantine, and their inability to provide service.
So, I immediately phoned LG to inform them of such. They stated they had dispatched to another company, but could not provide me a name and number, (fishy) but someone would be in touch in the next 24 hours. Guess what, it is now Wednesday, and NO CALL!
So, once again, I called LG. The service center rep, Tony told me that I was not getting it and I could find the authorized LG service provider. I informed him, that this was their job and to transfer me to the service department, or his supervisor. So, I get transferred to the service department, and they tell me they are transferring me to the level one department. I promptly get cut off. So, I call back again and they tell me they are the level one department, and they would get back to me in 24-48 hours. Seriously! I told them no, I was already told that and had already waited. He (Ariel) informed me I only put my request in yesterday. Once again, I had to inform a snide customer service rep that they were most definitely incorrect, and we were rapidly approaching a week since the refrigerator failed.
He then said he assigned it to one of their technicians, and I would hear from someone today. Well, why did it take several days, and several phone calls to get this result? Why was it not directly assigned to the mystery LG technician? I must say, based on the track record of technical and service support, I will not be holding out hope for a resolution, or even a call back today as promised.
Upon further research, I determined that the compressor failure within the first three years is a problem very well known to LG. Why not fix the issue, why not stand behind a product you know to be inferior and satisfy your customer base?
This, is without a doubt the worst customer service experience I have ever had, and I believe the behavior on the part of LG is unacceptable, and reprehensible. LG, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

I purchased two LG Nexus 5 phones last year. One stopped working earlier this year (shutting off and on repeatedly) and when I contacted Google they transferred me to LG. LG repaired the unit since it was a hardware problem. Second phone started doing the same a few months later but this time LG expects me to pay for the repair, despite the fact that this is clearly a manufacturing/design problem that probably should have resulted in a recall of the product. LG phones are very poor quality and their customer service is crap. Better to get a mobile from a real company that knows how to produce quality products.

I bought a washer and dryer combo at Home Depot in December. The dryer had problems from the start. I called and they sent out a service technician who took about two weeks to go out there. He said motor and drum were bad. It took about a month to get parts in, but LG sent out refurbished parts. Technician said we could use it but drum is bent. I called LG and about a month passed that they put me thru resolution department who will be issuing me a refund for dry when they finally go pick it up. I went to Home Depot to go order another dryer the same model so I will have a matching set. We are going into March and they told me that they don t make that model anymore. I called LG and they said they can only issue me a refund on dryer. What the hell am I suppose to do with a set that don t match. In 2016 I purchased three LG appliances (a refrigerator, an oven, and a dish washer). From day one, the oven had major issues. LG tried to repair the oven 9 time but couldn t. A full refund was issued.

Three and a half years later, the refrigerator stopped cooling. LG couldn t find a technician to fix it. I spoke to local repair technicians in my area, and they all refused to deal with LG.
I lost $500 in perishable frozen food.

I was promised a refund for the broken refrigerator two months ago and thus far haven t received a refund or a response from LG.

I called LG s customer service at least 10 times, and their overseas customer service are inept and clueless. I had been placed on hold many many times for at least an hour each time. I even tried to write their CEO with no success because his published email address doesn t accept emails

I tried calling their NJ HQ, and their phones either disconnected or resulted in no reply.

Don t buy LG products. The have the worst customer service.

Totally disappointed and frustrated with LG s products and their customer service.

The warranty is not covered because they do not have a process in place to accept warranty claims for refurbishment or repair. Now I ask you, who puts out a new product without having support or warranty in place to safeguard against defective products? A company that doesn't care and is only out for money. LG products are not worth spending your money on. I have a $3,000.00 fridge that has quit twice now, like many of the others. The first repair cost over $900.00. given the loss of food 2x, the loss of refrigerated insulin and humalog, and the cost of eating out for 60+ days brings the cost of this fridge over $7,000.00 and still climbing. I was offered a "free courtesy repair" almost a month ago and have heard nothing more about it. The company that was an "authorized" service company for LG actually refused the work order and no one called to inform me of this, so add a half day of wasted time on top of everything else. LG does not care about the consumers it sells to, only their bottom line income do they care about. You are best not to buy LG products, and if you do, you cannot say you were not warned by all the negative reviews of LG. Unfortunately LG knows about the "Compressor Defect" as listed in the class action lawsuit filed in California, and yet their still is no recall on these products and as of last I spoke with LG a month ago, they have no plans to recall or fix their refrigerators affected by the compressor defect. It is rather sad that you can sell defective high end products and not be held accountable for it.

I have an LG3 and take pictures of the sunrise at the beach every morning. Then I post them on Facebook for my northern friends to enjoy. I have had several people astonished that I take these photo's with my phone. This morning I captured a bird flying-with a fish in it's talons. We had four continuing issues with the LG fridge cooling problems. When I purchased my LG refrigerator 3 years ago, the salesman promised me that this refrigerator will last 15 years. In addition, I purchased the 3-years warranty on top of the 2-years warranty that LG provided, so the cooling warranty should be covered by LG for 5 years. Each time I phone the customer service, they weren't really helpful, all they do was transferring me to an extension number. Also, the customer service was very rude and unprofessional, I try to ask for a solution for my fridge problem and each time they hung up on me. Finally, I would not purchase any LG products ever again. LG you lost my trust.

I'm heartbroken to be writing this since we've been such big fans of LG in the past. We'd trusted LG for years and were very loyal customers but after this last incident, we can no longer recommend them. After 11 months, my wife's phone just wasn't working right anymore. I called in to get some support and it turned out that the motherboard was bad. They had us send it in to have it repaired at no cost. Not perfect but at least they were supporting the product.

Six months later we lost the ability to adjust call forwarding options. They said the phone they worked on 6 months prior was out of warranty but they had us send it in at no charge. I thought they were doing right by us at the time.

So I sent in the otherwise fully functional phone to their repair facility. It was sent back the next week completely dead (wouldn't even turn on) with a note saying that the device has suffered water damage and wouldn't be repaired.

I found this strange since we never got the phone wet so I asked them to explain. After weeks of runaround they sent me a photo of what was allegedly the inside of her phone. It was a picture showing the sim card slot with a significant corrosion around it.

The weird thing is, that was the part THEY replaced six months prior and no other part of the inside of the phone had any corrosion - including parts that are much more susceptible to it: the microphone, speaker, charging port, headphone jack, power and volume buttons all are much more likely to allow any type of moisture in yet had none. When I asked them how this was even possible considering the sim card slot was tightly sealed from the time we got the device back from them they couldn't explain it. This was frustrating.

When asked if it was at all possible that that moisture got in there when they repaired the functioning device 6 months prior, they had no answer. When I asked them why an otherwise fully functional device wouldn't even turn on now their response was, "Sometimes when we open a device to fix it, it just stops working". They refused to fix this device - even for a fee or provide a replacement. Are you kidding me?

TAKEAWAY: this used to be a great company that we bought LOTS of stuff from. This phone worked for the better part of 18 months when all of our other LG phones were good for 36+ months. Clearly the quality of their product and/or service has slipped (which is bad) and they no longer stand behind their products (this is worse). I can no longer recommend purchasing their products.

I am flabbergasted at how I have been treated by LG. TV keeps failing and have to keep waiting on backordered TV. No on at LG can do anything positive. Repairman was 2 days late the first time, 5 days the second. Stay away from their products.

I will seriously avoid ever buying another LG product again. I bought their WT1001CW Washing Machine. It was poorly designed and they will not authorize a return. I've talked with two supervisors and numerous employees. Two service people have looked at it and said that it is operating to factory specs. It does not clean clothes at all. It leaves debris, lint, soap residue and pet hair all over the clothes. The dryer doesn't even come close to finishing the job, that's how dirty the clothes are after going through the washer. Our whites are now looking very dingy after 5 months of use. The washer also does not drain properly in an area that can not be reached and the standing water gets moldy. I am now pursing legal action against LG. They need to be held accountable.
