I've been meaning to write a review of Lexus of Maplewood for a long time and finally I'm getting around to doing so. I have owned a Lexus since 2000. I'm in sales and need to buy a new one every 4 years, so I've had quite a few. My favorite part of Lexus of Maplewood is the service I get from Mike Trok in the service department. If I could buy my cars from him, I would. Mike goes out of his way to go above and beyond every single time I bring my car in! He and the RX350s I buy are the two reasons I really like Lexus of Maplewood!
Bobby made the entire experience great, from recommending a car that fit my choices to bringing the car to me so I could test drive it during my break to sending a driver to pick me up so I could get my new car. Bobby is was polite, courteous and diligent. I have heard of the Lexus experience, but I think Bobby went above and beyond.Thank you Bobby.
Great facility as well. Service wasn't the greatest though. Went in for oil change and tire rotation. During the wait I get a text saying if I want to replace my all TPMS sensors because apparently all are broken. Hmm.. I wonder how it broke. Wasn't broke before I arrived. Maybe if I didn't get the tire rotation that would've never happened. Weeks later they called me suggesting me to bring my car in for TPMS issue ($200 per). I rejected and told them that I was unhappy and that I'm never going back. Never heard from manager.
Efficient, cooperative, straight-forward and thorough. I always feel confident that my vehicle is in great shape when I leave Lexus of Maplewood Service Department.
Dan "HJ" Hjermstad was fantastic. Just stopped in to look at a used car. No pressure and easy to work with. Would strongly recommend talking to him about your car needs.
My visit to the Maplewood Lexus on Saturday 10/6/2018 has left me very frustrated and confused. Although Mike was helpful the service was less than excellent.
This was my first time coming in as I am a new owner of a 2014 Lexus GS 350. The only service that was needed was a simple tire rotation. After the service I had some question about some simple functionality. A specialist was asked to help me. When we went over to my car, the first question I was asked was if I read the manual. The specialist continued to say that he didn t know as was unsure, seeming to not want to help. For the record,I have read the manual multiple times. Point being, the manual did not help and even doing some research provided unhelpful. It appears the specialist was unhelpful and in a rush to go elsewhere.
Upon leaving, I noticed the shift interlock cover was missing. I was left confused by this as a tire rotation would not require a mechanic to be anywhere near the shift interlock cover. In addition, they had possession of the vechile keys, therefore, the shift interlock should have been left alone. Mike was vey kind in calling the mechanics to ask what happens. However, no one seems to know what happened or how it happened. I was told they would order a new and install it for me. This has left me frustrated and confused with service that Lexus has provided. Although, accidents happen and mistakes are made I felt as though they were just trying to get me out and get to the next customer. Not the experience claimed or expected from Lexus.

Car buying made easy! Ray M. was so friendly and knowledgeable about the Lexus brand and was able to help me make a good decision. I was in contact with several people throughout the process of which each of them provided white glove service. I love my car!
Unfortunately our service here was not what I was expecting. I just recently purchased a used Lexus RX 330. Everything is fine until I bring it in for my first routine maintance. Come to find out It needs $3,700 in work done. I haven't even made the second payment on the vehicle and I m already having to fork out this much. They wanted to charge $990 for a timing belt and water pump even though it had been told to us it was done at time of purchase. Apparently it was done at Toyota not at Lexus. Fine. The vehicle when purchased went through an inspection process that never caught a leaking radiator and axle seal. $2700+ In labor in parts. No help what so ever. Sales man passed us to service and the service guy back to the sales men. When we asked to see the damage before we agree to pay. We got attitude like we were inconviencen them. My wife then went to pick up the vehicle and they tried charging her more then the agreed price because they replaced a few extra parts but never told us about it. They ended up not charging us for the extra parts and labor. To end this whole ordeal out. No one had washed the truck at pick up. They only washed it afterwards. The guy driving left mud tracks on the tan carpet from not laying a cover over it. They had put our mats in the back. I will never come here again. Sucks. I had so much hopes for my first Lexus purchase.
Edited 2/21/18 I want to state. The mechanic and the manager at the mechanic shop across the street were extremely nice and understanding of our request to see the vehicle.

The staff at Maplewood Lexus really makes the car buying experience simple, fast, and easy. They presented all options of finance and levels of protecting our new car but never pushed us one way or the other. I live and have been buying cars from area dealerships and have never received the level of service that I did at Maplewood Lexus. They take the hassle part completely out of the car buying experience. They gave me a better rate than my credit union would give. The new general manager came out to meet my wife and I and personally thanked us for our business.
Tom at the service desk told me to be quiet and interrupted me several times when I was talking about my car and trying to ask questions about services. If he was still busy with some other things I could have waited until he was done. I would have gone to Wayzata but I could not wait another week for service. My ac was out. If I was quoted $450 over there I should not have to plead to have the same price. He was not being very friendly. I was asking about the tire swap service for winter because I had never heard that before. You have to spend $1500+ for their aftermarket set, and they charge you everytime you have to swap and reprogram the sensors otherwise the sensors don't work. I had more questions but was shooed away because he apparently was working with another customer who wasn't around. I was being as polite as a person can. If the customer service doesn't scare you away, surely the prices will.
2nd review: I took my car in for a recall and received a NX 300 for a loaner and got my car back with a full tank of fuel, another reason to buy Lexus. Extremely impressed with every visit. 1st Review: I'd like to thank Dan Haspert for helping me out on the IS purchase, I was sold an awesome vehicle for a fair price and am very pleased with the buy. My buddy and I can't thank the guys at Lexus enough for the Champions Club seats at the Twins game last week, they didn't play the best but an experience like no other. Big shout out to Lexus for taking care of me beyond my expectations.
Stopped in impromptu one morning to see if I needed to schedule my 30k service, they said I could schedule if I liked or they could work me in immediately and have me out within 1.5 hours as well as getting me a loaner if I had other things to do till it was done.
Done in 1.25 hours, including a wash and vacuum...
Dan O. did a great job. Answered all questions and when it came time to work numbers....no games. We got close on vehicle and payments and I took a couple days to make a decision. When I came back he showed me the vehicle that fit in my budget perameters, but anticipated what I really wanted and got me into an even better vehicle for basically the same cost. Everything from test drive, to the numbers, final paperwork, and finally the delivery went efficiently and with out any normal car dealer BS. Thanks for making the switch from Mercedes a seamless one.
Not a pleasant experience with Lexus of Maplewood. Was shocked when the service representative was rude and argumentive. I'm happy to discuss this experience with a manager instead of blasting this dealership in a Web site. I've owned numerous Lexus vehicles and sometimes used Lexus of Maplewood and other times Lexus of Wayzata. Usually Lexus of Maplewood is good and professional but in my opinion it is the service rep. which was agressive and pushy. I do not want to mention names on this site but would be willing to explain to management personally. Tks.
Clint Gage was a HUGE help in us selecting our new car. He was resourceful, knowledgeable and most importantly always a nice person to work with. He answered all of my and my wife's questions, helped with comparisons and found us the car with the features we were looking for. Couldn't have been an easier buying experience. Even better, when we went to pick up our new RX, the professional young man who walked us through the features of the car also had a great personality and made the process actually fun. Easy to see why they are successful at Lexus of Maplewood - they know what counts - being a friendly, knowledgeable resource their customers can trust.
My husband and I had our best car buying experience ever with Beh Gay ! It was enjoyable to work with someone who is personable and really listens to what you are looking for in your next car.There wasn't any pressure to buy and Beh made us feel very welcome.We had all of our questions answered and Beh was able to find us the car we wanted. This was hands down the best vehicle purchasing experience I have ever had. I have been looking to get into the new Lexus LC 500 for a few months now. After having no luck in finding a salesperson to assist me in finding the one with my specific preferences, I had contacted Tim Frederick at Lexus of Maplewood. Tim was very knowledgeable and did a great job LISTENING. He was able to find my specific LC and have it shipped to their lot. In less than 10 days from my initial call, I was driving home in my new Lexus!
The whole team over at Lexus of Maplewood are incredibly professional. Tim followed up with me throughout the process. Jacob was very informative in assisting me on all of the features of this car. I feel that sometimes throughout the car buying process, certain dealerships don't have the right people to educate the new buyer on the features of their vehicles. It was different here. Jacob was very knowledgeable and was willing to take all the time necessary to get me comfortable. Wendy in finance was super friendly and was able to work around my specific budgeting requests and neither her nor Tim were pushy at all.
The whole team at Lexus of Maplewood should be commended on their professionalism. This was well worth the drive to Minneapolis, but the drive home was way better!
Came to my car right away and was very polite. Even though they were really busy the service rep Beau came to the lobby to get me within minutes to write it up. He explained everything that would be done and my loaner car was a brand new SUV, same as what I have. The guy that walked around the vehicle looking for damage was very professional and opened my door for me, as did Beau when my vehicle was ready.

This is my first luxury car (an older, pre-owned model) & I felt treated as generously as someone buying the newest, most premium model. Greg C excelled at customer service & communication. He went out of his way on even the littlest things. The car is smooth, comfortable & quiets the noise of the world quite the gift in these times.

We have purchased 4 vehicles from this dealership. Our most recent salesman was Brandon Kachel. His customer service was outstanding. We actually had fun buying a new car! Brandon took his time with us to make sure we got into the perfect vehicle for our needs. We never felt pressured to purchase. It was all about finding the right ride for us. Every time we stop in for service we look for Brandon just because he is such a pleasure to talk with. Speaking of service, Mike Trock. is the best service provider one could ask for. He is honest and helpful with our service questions. We always feel like we are being well taken care of at this dealership. Excellent service! The staff was gracious enough (Tom and Mustafa) to offer to bring my car to to me even though I had a loaner. This was the day following 9 of snow and icy roads so the offer was truly appreciated. One other thing-I needed a lot of work done and Tom was really good about prioritizing what was absolutely important to get done. I spent quite a bit but $ well spent. Thank you Lexus of Maplewood!
Never thought the day would come that I would no longer be an Audi faithful. That all changed the day I walked into Lexus of Maplewood and met Clint Gage. Being twice my size, he never was pushy! He showed my wife and I the IS series and all of its "bells and whistles" . We were so impressed we ended up leasing two cars from Clint. My wife is enjoying her IS 300 AWD and I'm having fun driving the IS 350 AWD (F Sport). Happy to be a new Lexus customer! Jeff Greavu
I walk in with no appointment. A worker in Lexus work with attitude rude and racism. I think they don t like Asian people( my opinion) cause they take care and talk really friendly with American people but no with us. I hope they can improve attitude with all Asian people.
If you are looking to buy a Lexus, I highly recommend Clint. He goes above and beyond to make the process go as smoothly as possible. He is knowledgeable, professional and honest. I have bought cars from other associates in the past and he by far, made this past experience the best I ve ever had.

Had my Lexus serviced today, Tim Hagerman was fantastic. I have had issues with service in the past which made me reluctant to come back but Tim took that on and really put his effort into resolving my concerns and really put me, a customer, first. I scheduled an appointment for an oil change with the Lexus of Maplewood dealership. I had a coupon for $30 off of any service. I checked with the scheduler of the appointment and with another employee of the Maplewood Lexus facility, if I could use the coupon. Both said yes. When I dropped off my vehicle, I signed authorization for the oil change with consultant James Smith. I received a call back from James who informed me that I should consider purchasing 2 tires and wiper blades. I declined the almost $50 charge for the placement & purchase of the wiper blades & another $565 for 2 new tires. I was informed that the tires on the front of my vehicle were in the "green zone" & the rear tires fell in the "red zone" A tire rotation was not done because I was told the better tires should be on the front, which was the case. When I picked up my vehicle, not only were there charges for a tire rotation, but also for a brake inspection. I was not informed, prior to the services, that I would be charged for a brake inspection. The total charge was very concerning to me, so I questioned the consultant, ( it was not James Smith, it was the consultant that is seated at the first desk as you walk in the service door), asking why I was charged for two services that was not performed. He said you signed for the services! I explained to him that the tire rotation was not done & I was not aware that a brake inspection was going to be performed and charged for! The consultant repeated saying you signed authorization for it, next time you should read the contract before you sign it. I again said the tire rotation was not done - I did not authorize a break inspection, nor was I aware that I would be charged for it. He again said, you signed the agreement. I then said, I was not going to argue about this with him, let's just get this done. He then took the charges for the tire rotation & the brake inspection off of my bill, but only after humiliating me in front of other consumers. This experience was horrible. I feel I was trying to be taken advantage of because I am female & wouldn't question the serve charges. This kind of trickory is abhorrent! I also question if the way I was handled, was because I presented with a $30 coupon. Lexus should reconsider their service training strategies to be more consumer considerate and not make them feel raped by their charges, especially services that were not performed!!

I have had amazing experiences with Lexus up to this point. I bought my car from Lexus brand new a couple years ago, the process was smooth and really amazing. I have been loyal in servicing my car on schedule with the dealership even. Unfortunately, as much as I love my car I need to get a larger car. We have decided to sell my car first and buy again when I need a car in a couple months. I thought with how great Lexus has been that we would bring it there first. They asked me to come in and then totally blew me off like it was a complete inconvenience when I got there. They looked at my car, sat with me for ten seconds told me it had major issues and low balled me way under even the standard trade in value, even though I have maintained my car and it is in excellent condition. I was shocked, it was the first time I have ever experienced such poor service and mistreatment at this dealership. Currently working out a deal with another dealership for almost $5k more than Lexus offered me for my car, which was shocking because I thought Lexus would want to have their cars on resale and they have been so great historically, which is why I went there first. We were going to buy our next car at Lexus, but now we are rethinking this and looking at other luxury car companies instead that value their customer from point A to point Z.
Jon definitely knows his stuff when it comes to cars! I test drove a couple and couldn't decide on one. He walked me through all the information and what would best suite my lifestyle. Normally buying a car is stressful but Jon made the process easy as pie!
Greg Carlini was the salesman who sold me a used 2015 NX200t and it was a very easy process. He was upfront with all information and helped get the warranty to cover the headlight adjustment 5 months after the purchase. I would definitely recommend working with him.
I scheduled a service during my lunch break at work (not far from the location), and they were able to help pick up and drop off the car. Thank you Steve and Johm for being so flexible even though I couldn't make it to the phone sometimes.
The customer service here is exemplary and I am so impressed with the obvious care that they feel for their customers. It sounds corny, but you really do feel like family here. We ve had a long relationship with this dealership because of that and because we never feel pressured or obligated to buy anything they are patient and just happy to help and answer any questions. I highly, HIGHLY recommend Lexus of Maplewood, you should RUN not walk, it will be the best decision you ll ever make. Bonus: they have frequent parties with amazing appetizers, drinks and fascinating guests that you will be invited to. They are really fun and the quality of these parties/get togethers is too-notch! This is such a wonderful bonus to an already fantastic dealership. Go there, go there now, you can thank me later. :)
I want to preface by stating that this is the 3rd Lexus I have owned in the last five years. The previous two from Lexus of Valencia, CA. Lexus is a phenomenal brand and I love the quality, but this dealership does not do it justice. Its basically like Walmart selling Apple products.
Lies, lies, and some more lies beginning to end. I found an ES350 online, submitted a request online to check dealer stock, and went in 2 hours later to buy it. I traded in a 2016 Sierra that costs about $20K more than a new ES. They underpriced the trade in by $2K from what the GM dealer offered me. Wanting to get back into a Lexus, I agreed as I had positive equity in the truck. I agreed to put some down and requested a check back for the other difference..I was told I would get it at signing. After 4+ hours waiting because they were too busy helping others, I get to signing and the lady says everyone from accounting has gone home and they will have a check for me next day. I requested the shifter be changed out due to excessive scratches and damage. They agreed, but didnt do it then--told me that when I come in to get the coating I purchased, they would change it out.
Next day I get a call from their "accounting" department asking me to come in for the check. I live over an hour away and decided to bring my wife and daughter in because she is interested in an RX350. When we get here, we are told there is no check, and that it will take 20 days for me to get as its a "Minnesota thing".. No problem, I brush it off and wait for someone to show us the truck. After 20 minutes of waiting, we leave as no one is available to show us the truck. Not good.
Here I am a week later getting the coating done. The salesman comes out and apologizes because he mis spoke and can't change the shifter. I tell him how disappointed I am by everything so far and he just says "sorry".
They originally told me it takes an hour for the coating service. The service advisor comes out and says he needs to put me in a loaner. I ask why because I dont want to come back as I live far. He states I shouldn't have been told an hour, they need more time to do it correctly. I again, stay calm and as for an RX so I can show it to my wife...as stated before-I love the Lexus brand-not so much this dealership. I get a dirty, dirty, dirty loaner.
These guys will tell you whatever they have to to get the sale. After the sale, you're unimportant to them.
When you get better service at a Hyundai dealer than a Lexus dealer.. there's a serious problem.
My wife and I stopped by to check out a vehicle we had seen online. We set up a test drive with Ray Maunu for the following morning. All I can say is this was by far the best experience I have ever had while purchasing a vehicle. From the moment we met Ray, he made us feel at home and totally comfortable. He was very detail oriented and was not pushy like most salesman. The whole process went smoother than we could have ever imagined. Big thanks to our finance guy Tchu Moua also! Made the paperwork process seamless and very detail oriented also. Again a huge thank you to the whole team at Lexus of Maplewood for making this happen. Best Lexus dealership in the Mid-West! Clint Gage is the best salesman around. 3 Lexi later and we would not go to another salesman or dealership. The 7 hour drive is worth it in order to get such great service.

This was my first experience at Lexus of Maplewood. I stopped in to have a Lexus vehicle registered with them to be part of the regular maintenance schedule. The people I spoke to were very friendly and knowledgeable, and the waiting room was very nice. I look forward to working with them in the future!
We bought a used SUV Infinity here and they went above and beyond in all areas. Our sales man was just awesome. Then we brought it back to have it cleaned and we pointed out a few things wrong. They corrected everything. We got our car back looking really clean and all the little things fixed.
