Quick response, good customer service on the phone...

Quick response, good customer service on the phone, and knowledgable tech came out to help. Most other plumbers scheduled next day but John Moore came out at 5pm. I'll continue to call John Moore first next issue I have.

Signed a contract for one year at 189$ a month to put out snake away as to which they swore by. I am going into my 3rd month with them and have went from one snake 2 days after treatment to now 8 snakes 10 days later. No one ever specified to me which snakes they d treat or keep away until now when I m canceling. Information was left unsaid otherwise I would ve never signed up. Called to have my contracted canceled since it s obviously not working and now I m being charged 378$ to cancel cause their product isn t performing.

Recently called John Moore to resolve my A/C issue. Texas summers OMG!!
Surprisingly, Henry was able to make it out to my house before my window. He gave a very thorough explanation of what was going on. I had to wait until the next day but.......okay. My window was from 10-12 , Henry got to my home at around 9:40, again can't beat that!
It's not the highlight of anyone's day having to resolve household issues, but John Moore makes it better. Thanks Henry.

After suffering our 3rd leak in a year from rusting, Chinese manufactured, 1970's era pipework in our Cypress area house we knew it was time to call the experts. An investment in our great house could only be trusted to a Company that hires men like David Lawrence and Matt King, what a duo! In 3 days these pros installed new copper pipe and pex tubing complete with fixtures, spigots, etc. goodbye headaches and wet carpet! Thanks guys.

Prices are good for re-piping. Crews are polite, trustworthy, and very professional. They did exactly what they said they would do and finish the repipe in 3 days. No hassle. They get it right the first time.

On Sunday 10/15/2017, we awoke to NO A/C, it was 9AM and 80 degrees in the house. I called John Moore who sent out a rep check everything out. As I assumed, my 12yr old A/C unit had died. He went over the different options of repair, once I decided on which way to proceed he helped put me thru to finance and we financed a new inside & outside unit. He then set up and appointment, for the repairs to be done the next day (Monday). The 3-man repair team showed up on time and did an excellent job of installing the equipment in a timely and professional manner.

We had John Moore come out to service our air conditioner condenser in Sept 2019. They suggested a unit replacement and UV light installation for $6.2k and we stupidly agreed to it. Fast forward to Feb 2021 and our furnace broke down. We went with a mom and pop repair place and learned that John Moore should have replaced the coil in the attic for the air conditioner and they massively overcharged us for the condenser and uv lights plus labor. They also gave us too big of a condenser for our downstairs, which can cause mold issues. The condenser they put in was bigger than the one that originally came with the house, so they could make more money. The new repair place charged us $8,200 to replace the whole unit in the attic and the condenser outside plus labor. I cannot imagine how much John Moore would have charged for this. I also want to mention that we got a quote for John Moore to replace 2 water heaters for over $8k plus we were told that a roof modification was needed. We thankfully did not go with this crazy quote and got our 2 traditional water heaters replaced with a tankless unit for $3k. No roof modification needed. DO NOT trust John Moore to do anything other than rip you off. I'd give them 0 stars if I could.

My bathroom is amazing! I am delighted with the whole experience. From day one, I felt my needs were greatly attended to. Rusty really seems to love his job at John Moore. He has a heart for helping people and was very sensitive to my handicap and I don't think I would have taken on and managed my bathroom remodel without his help. As a sales associate he is a straight shooter, trustworthy and skilled in dealing with "picky" people.

Jerry was my first intro to the high caliber of John Moore employees. He is a true professional with a great smile and very observant. I am thankful that Jerry was my master plumber. I would definitely recommend him.

Nelson and Walter were very polite and worked well together. They tiled most of the shower walls and I couldn't be happier. It was a pleasure having them work on my bathroom.

William and David also took pride in their work. They worked very hard in the beginning stages of my bathroom project and I appreciate their efforts.

Richard worked on various parts of my bathroom. He takes pride in his work, he's very respectful and doesn't cut corners. I would proudly recommend him and John Moore Services to my friends and family.

Tony was outstanding on my project. He was punctual, friendly, respectful, very positive, professional, trustworthy, had incredible focus on the job and was a very effective job coordinator. His work is exceptional, he is a true perfectionist. I will recommend Tony to anyone I can.

David and Matt were excellent. They cleaned up after themselves and made sure to leave everything neat. I was really worried about them having to cut holes in the Sheetrock. They assured me they would cut neatly and they did exactly that. They explained things as they did them and made sure to see if I had any additional questions. I contact John Moore via Home Advisor and the reply was quickly. Mr. Rey G. came to my home well groom and advised me with a cost of $4999 to complete the piping in the attic. I had an emergency with my job so I had to leave the home. Mr. Rey G. continue to speak with my mother and son that were present at the home. I asked him to please leave all paperwork that will explain what service John Moore recommend and option if there are any. Prior to leaving I explained to Mr.Rey G. that I have two other companies coming out to provide estimate as well and I will compare the 3 companies. Mr. Rey G. at this time advised me that John Moore had the best offer and 12, 18, 24 or 48 months of interest free if I did the services with John Moore. At this I thought this was great, so I cancelled with the other 2 companies based on Mr. Rey G. information. I inquired what would be the next steps. Mr. Rey G. inquired what number the finance department could call me at to complete the paperwork. I provided this information and advised him to leave all details with my family. I advised Mr. Rey. G. that I will put a $1000 down as well. I left the check with my mother to provide for John Moore. I received a call from Melinda with the finance department and advised her the information Mr. Rey G. provided. Melinda apologized and stated Mr. Rey G. should not have provided this information when he is not in the finance department and the information is based on ones' credit. I return home from work to review the various of option, but Mr. Rey G. did not leave any paperwork, so I was not aware in details what would take place. I received a call from John Moore again to schedule the appointment for February 2, 2017. The service person David advised me there should have been paperwork provided with 3 option.
I felt your representative was more interested in making a sale compared to verifying what was best for the customer. I think this is so misleading for your staff and why should a customer want to do business when your employees does not provide proper details.

Complete highway robbery!! We asked for a bathtub to be drained and the leaking sink to be fixed. There was a deal for $29 for unclogged drain. The technician came out and (which I know was a simple drain) told me he needs to run a snake down the tub and it would be $100. Are you kidding me?!!! He was 'courteous' to charge $29 for the drain. Oh I guess thats sypposed to make me feel better. Thats not the bad part. I asked him about the sink. He told me that he does septic not plumbing. That I would have to call John moore again and have plumbing come out because they have different departments. What kind of dumb s*** is that? I ask a company to come out and fix two issues and you send one person to one thing and try to charge high dollar and the issue isnt fixed nor has it been fixed. Never again. Never again!

Aaron came to my Grandmother's HOT home right away. She's 85 and needed immediate assistance. Aaron was so professional, polite and worked so fast to get her up and running ASAP so she had relief from the heat. What a lifesaver!!!

Technician Justin Strain was went above and beyond...

Technician Justin Strain was went above and beyond the basic call of duty. He installed what was needed (per work order) which was a bypass valve. He then tested and discovered another leak, warranting another part - to fix the issue (water control valve). All that sounds basic, but it was his clear and honest way of explaining everything he saw, did, and what was now needed... and what he was personally going to do to escalate and follow up. He showed genuine empathy for our situation - being without hot water for almost 2 months. JUSTIN exemplified stellar customer service, and is appreciated more than these words can express.

Nothing personal to the technician that came and did the warranty work today, as he was polite and got it redone. I just would steer clear of the John Moore company as a whole. I believe the fittings they use on the outdoor water pex line that they installed aren't meant to be used as direct bury underground fittings. This was the second service call for this same coupling in 2 years. Hopefully it won't be a repeat issue next year, only 5 years left on my warranty window. :/

Review is based on technician only. I can't comment on the business as a whole. Jack came and diagnosed the problem. I still need a new water heater, but he diagnosed it almost immediately. The replacement cost was too high. It was an exact matched exchange. Over $2100 wasn't a fair price to remove 2 hoses and screw them back on. It's an electric heater. So, $500-$750 for the parts. That leaves $1250 in labor? Everything was up to code already so nothing needed to be repaired. If I was 40 years younger I could have done it myself.

I have reviewed Willie Glass before. He worked on my dishwasher a few times. But I'd like to review an associate of yours named Serafino. I don't know his last name but his nickname is Seven. He rebuilt my kitchen bar, painted it and put on new baseboards, after my water damage. He did an excellent job here. Super nice guy.

This is a new review on October 14th, 2019 on Willie with John Moore services. Willie repaired my dishwasher leak which had caused a small flood in my house. He hooked dishwasher back up and screwed it back in place. Willie is a very nice guy and really funny too. He had me laughing. And of course he is great at his job. Thanks again.

My technician was professional and nice. Nothing wrong here but I believe this company is a rip-off chain. The Tech was there for spring AC inspection on our unit that is less than 3 years old. This unit has been inspected twice already by the home inspector we used before we purchased the home and again at the 1 year mark of owning the home. Suddenly, there is some variation in pressure that couldn't be explained to me in layman's terms but would require a $2000 repair so I called a Rheem certified company. They found nothing wrong. Don't use this company, take the time to find a company who is certified in your equipment.

We needed all the ducts for heater and A/C replaced, as well as one vent and box. Some of the area under the roof was a very tight fit, so they had to struggle at times. They were here right around 12 hours! And they persevered with good humor and got it all done and cleaned up. That was a lot of ductwork as attested to by the great pile of old duct they brought out of the house and then loaded onto the truck for disposal. I do hope they are paid well!

They used scare tactics on a me to replace the pipes in the entire house. I had one galvanized pipe that was leaking due to rust on the garage. The salesman told me the whole house would rust like that one and I needed new plumbing in the whole house. He also told me I needed a new hot water heater although it was fairly new. When the plumbers came out, they told me my hot water heater was fine. So I called my salesman. He told me it would cost this ungodly amount to bring it up to code. About the same amount as putting in a new one. They scammed me so bad. I will never use their rip off company for anything. They cost me thousands and thousands of dollars that were unnecessary. DON T USE THEM!
I m still mad after 9 years about how they took advantage of me and cost me thousands of dollars by scamming me. I tell everyone I can not to use this company.

This was our first time to use John Moore Services and I can assure you that if we ever need help again, it will be with John Moore. From the moment I made the call to check on getting some work done to the time they pulled out of our driveway. For reasons they can't control we still have no air tonight but tomorrow they will have what they need to install the new parts.

Michael G. came out to my house today to add an outlet in my attic. From the initial phone call to let me know he was on his way, to making sure I understood I had the proper contact numbers at the end of the appointment, Mike was friendly, yet very professional. When another service person stopped by unannounced and attempted to enter the property, Mike was appropriately concerned, and made sure that the other individual had permission to enter, and that I was aware of the situation. Mike also noticed that some of the bolts on the attic stairs had become loose. He was kind enough to let me know, and tightened them for me. He definitely went the extra mile, and I would highly recommend his services.

John Moore came to fix my stopped up toilet. They did clear but they told me that my toilets were all getting old and needed to be replaced. They said they couldn t guarantee how long the pipes would stay clear, implying that I was really risking it by not buying new toilets. They quoted 3 new toilets and 4-yr Service for about $3200 or $3600. They only wanted to sell me a KOHLER they apparently were carrying around on their trucks, but I am very picky about design etc. I told them I would think about it then went to Westheimer Plumbing, which I regard as quite high end, to look at the universe of toilets, including Toto etc. When I told them the problem they were incredulous and said showed me some super high end models at about $300, but indicated that I didn t really need new toilets at all, only simple repairs. I called one of the plumbers they recommended and replaced valves and plungers and re-set the flush on all 3, all for around $300! 10% of the cost JOHN Moore quoted for their scare the old ladies package. I would think a centuries old toilet would work if the interior parts work. What s to break on a large piece of porcelain? It s the working parts that matter. Why would you replace your house if your stove broke? That s essentially what John Moore is into promoting. Really a scandal.

After weeks of listening to an on-going toilet running - we called John Moore to get a plumber out to fix. I had ordered parts through Kohler (to save money), but when they arrived and Christian Lopez had come to install...he explained they had sent the wrong parts. I called & they reshipped. Christian just finished repairing and he did a great job - all is quiet and you would never know he had come in to repair...left our bath clean. We have used John Moore for many, many years (we have lived in our home for 26-years and our home was built in 1974 - - although we have remodeled, we have plumbing issues arise (as do new homes) and we will only use John Moore. Very professional and reasonably priced.

In addition, he made sure to walk me thru every aspect of the repairs and additional work he and John Moore were going to do, answering every question - no matter how insignificant it was. He personally came back later than day and brought me two portable units to help lower the air while parts are arriving. His care, attention to detail and respect were amazing. He made me feel safe and confident in my decision to move forward with a big job.

My experience with John Moore Services started out...

My experience with John Moore Services started out great but it didn't end that way. The original tech, Noly, was very professional, he arrived on time, he explained all of our options, and most important he didn't try to haggle us. He was able to identify the issue in less than an hour when it took the tech from the previous company almost 4 hours to diagnose the issue. They let me know who my tech would be and sent me a picture, which gave me a greater sense of security. Overall, my experience today was great. I will provide another review once my unit is fixed tomorrow.

Update: I paid to have repairs completed on my system, and the installation tech was scheduled to come out today between 12-4. It is now 6:39pm, and he has not arrived nor did I receive a call. I called Customer Service and spoke with a representative who was more interested in giving me an excuse instead of allowing me to ask questions. She then proceeds to tell me that they have me scheduled for 2pm-8pm, and blames the installation department by stating they handle their own scheduling. Now I have to wait for a Manager from the Installation Department to call me to find out why a tech hasn't been out. The Installation Manager called me and stated there was a mix up and that they didn't have us on the schedule at all, and that all techs were gone for the day but she could have someone out with an hour. I asked to cancel the entire service request and requested a full refund. I'm curious as to why the Customer Service rep said we were scheduled from 2pm-8pm, when the service was NEVER scheduled with the installation department. This is poor customer service and I expected so much more, at a minimum honesty.

Papal did a great job. He figured out the problem with my heater very quickly, fixed the heater and did not even charge a service fee. I am very appreciative that he waived the service charge and will surely call and recommend John Moore Services for any HVAC and plumbing needs. Papal is a great representative for John Moore.
