I feel that their initial customer service is outs...
I feel that their initial customer service is outstanding; however, they lack the same friendliness when they cannot seal the deal. I originally went into Jim Norton and looked at a 2017 Highlander and had my trade evaluated, etc. They were working on lending overnight, so I left without the vehicle. I went to Fowler Toyota just off the BA and Sheridan and they were able to not only give me more for my trade-in, but also took 4k off the exact car I was looking at Jim Norton, but the one from Fowler actually had a few additional options that the other lacked at a higher price. I was asked to come back in before I signed paperwork with Fowler to complete the deal because I was told they could make me a better deal. I went in there, gave them the credit union's name (that they didn't have if it hadn't been for me giving it to them that Fowler worked to find), and they asked for the same deal as Fowler, which the bank matched. However, unfortunately, they couldn't even come close to matching Fowler's deal, so it was a complete waste of time. Up until that point, the sales woman, Karissa, and sales manager, Steve Massey, was incredibly nice and wanted all the information from Fowler, which Fowler was fine with me giving. After I left when they couldn't match the deal, we realized the CU gave them a little bit of a decrease in the interest rate and with proof the CU would match it. When I reached out to who I "thought" had my best interest at heart and acted like they cared regardless if I bought a car or not, they told me they could not share that information. So, my conclusion, I am so thankful I did not end up purchasing with them because reading other reviews where they, too, complained that they were nice and then non-existent after the sale was complete, I truly believe that is how they do business. We are just money, not people. It's really sad to do business in such a way as that, as they will definitely not get any referrals from me, whereas before I had told friends and family to check them out... as no two car dealerships are the same and what they might not have been able to do better for me, they might have been able to for someone else. Fowler has been much more professional than Jim Norton and there is definitely tension and bad taste coming from Jim Norton's side. Thankfully, Fowler was more worried about getting me a good deal and finding the best for what I wanted, instead of bad mouthing the other dealership. Sometimes you learn the hard way, in this case, I'm thankful to say that although I saw their true colors in the end, I don't have to deal with them since I chose to buy elsewhere. Check our Fowler before making a deal at either place. Everyone at Fowler has been great before and after me signing my papers. Lesson learned.
