You guys dont even deserve that one star. Atrocious service and takes flipping eternity to setup a connection (still not setup). I wasted a fortune of money on mobile data by watching youtube and browsing as i had no wifi and morever they blocked my plan due to overspending. Its been over a month since its pending. Why cant you guys just say we cant help if you aint capeable. I have to rely on mobile hotspot to even write this review. But i sure will! And btw worst customer service take that! Think twice before calling yourself good, iinet. I cant even use my phone because of you guys! You disconnect better than connect.

Great service, excellent customer service and a good price for unlimited. I'm happy that I went with iiNet.

That's my review. Everyone has different experiences. So do some research on all ISP and choose what best suits your needs.

But I'd still recommend iiNet.

I have changed providers due to low signal strength with Iinet. Response from Iinet was that the area where I live has good reception. Their advise was to clean the Simcard This was despite local knowledge that the area where I live is in a known Optus black spot area.

Been with iiNet for 7 years. Customer service going down hill, constant connection issues. Internet running at 0.6mb/s. I have been waiting for a new modem for 6 weeks as I was told they would send a new one out (again). Better off upgrading your mobile plan and using the hot spot from that to fuel all your internet needs in the house of that's a workable solution.

Edit: modem has come out late as usual, never told about fees incurred, billed $180 and was never informed about it.

I have been with iiNet for a couple of years and have always had good service with prompt response to any issues that have arisen, none of the issues I've had have ever been the fault of iiNet, they have been either thieves stealing copper from the exchange or Telstra working on the lines yet iiNet have done the best they can to ensure these problems are fixed asap and with pretty successful results considering a lot of it is out of their control as Telstra set their own time frames for fault repairs.
Their staff at the call centre are always polite and accommodating, call back promises are kept and even checks after repair work are conducted to make sure everything is good and the customer is happy... that is becoming rare with a lot of organisation now a day but for iiNet, it was a good choice to go with them and I have had no regrets.

0 star is my rate. I'm not going to bore anyone with my experiences with iinet but one little piece of advise if I may: DON'T BOTHER with iinet. They've grown too much too fast and can't keep up. Gone were the days they provided a good service and had a decent customer service. Looking at the reviews clearly I'm not the only one . Maybe they should invest more in their services instead of advertising.

The Worst Customer Service EVER !! Do not go with them, when calling about a fault they would not transfer me and the lady was so rude!!!
I was told i would have to wait 24 hrs for a call back, when i explained i would be at work i was told over and over i would have to wait till then.
I spent over 1hr 20 min on the phone. Disgraceful business ! We will be taking our business else where. Some where the customer is heard and a resolution can be done at the time of the phone call.

I use iiNet and it has been absolutely excellent. No problems whatsoever. Easy to connect on installation and no problems whatsoever with speeds etc on a daily basis. My son uses hundreds of gbytes each month and never has a problem with daily university downloads and conferences. Has been very very good. Wish I was with them years ago when I was with other nightmare ISPs like the Fox product. Many thanks iiNet.

We have been with IInet for about the last 8 years. Internet, home phone, recently Fetch TV and now all four of us in the family have a mobile plan with IInet.
My experience with their customer service has been faultless. Any minor issues we have had they have all been resolved promptly and free of charge, even when it was our fault. Short wait times on the phone, pleasant staff. I cannot fault them and am very happy to stay with IInet.

Recently I had some issues with my Internet/phone billing. I contacted iinet and spoke to customer team member, James (Hannah). James and I spoke at length about the problem and thanks to James's patience and detective skills we finally worked out what had happened.

As a result I have been reimbursed any duplicate payments that were made. A great result.

I would like to thank James for his professionalism, he was at all times, articulate, knowledgeable, understanding, and it was a pleasure to deal with him.

Iinet should be very proud to have someone like James working for them.

The customer representatives have been great, just the shoddy service that has been going on since they got bought out by TPG. I normally get 5Mb/s with iinet but my partner has Vividwireless home base unit with about 6Mb/sec speed and far more reliable. I have been with them for about 10 years, have had some ups and downs over the years, but the past few months have been frustrating.

I've been on iiNet Cable for about 5 years and found it to be very fast (better than 90 MBPS) and reliable but over the past month it has been dropping out a lot and Rebooting didn't help so rang iiNet Service, got through in about 1 minute and a very helpful lady spent over 40 minutes testing and working on my problem before fixing it better than ever. Thank you iiNet Service but must say that I'm sorry that your Cable service is only available in Ballarat, Geelong and Mildura.

Wish I could rate less than 1 star. Been an iinet customer for 10 years and service and download speeds were never a problem. Since TPG bought them out I can't even use my Internet anymore and despite countless attempts to contact support, hours on hold and numerous promises that they will call me back over the last month, I still can't even use my Internet for simple browsing let alone streaming. Couldn't be more dissapointed in what was once a great Internet provider

iinet send me final bill which i had paid on phone banking option provide by iinet, even my credit card show the fund has been deduct. keep receiving overdue reminder and customer service just ask me to contact my bank to sort it out where is the money gone to. how i suppose to find out as the payment is iinet direct charge instead my manual transfer. is it really my problem as my bank statement show charged by :iinet subicao and iinet can not locate the money. i want give even lower star but unfortunately one star is the lowerest i can give.

Worse than dealing with Centrelink. Constant problems, staff don't handle inquiries correctly. Unless you want to sacrifice hours of your life trying to resolve incessant complications, I would find another provider. The fact that I am stuck with them for another year and a half pains me.

I have been a customer for more than 10 years with these idiots.
The service has slowly degraded to worst than telstra over the last few years. Takes over an hour to get someone to call back and if you happen to be on another call at the time they try twice via their automated call back system and then consider the fault fixed if you didn't answer the 2 call backs.

Great service. A recent NBN issue caused a problem with my modem. Despite heavy traffic at the time I received a call back within 10 minutes, and the issue was resolved over the phone on the spot without any further problems. Have been with iiNet for nearly 20 years, and have never regretted it.

How can I know what the problem is let alone get it fixed. Hence they are stalling on refund while I continue to have no broadband. Refunded me $15.00 out of $75.00 paid but service is now ceased.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE experience I've ever had. Asked me to get a private electrician to fix my internet when one wasn't required. Soon after I did that the fault was found by Telstra outside of my premises. Now chasing a refund for my electrician and getting nowhere after it was promised. Absolutely furious with this company, they are far too big and don't care one bit. Their Call Centre is in Capetown and they are short staffed and incredibly rude.

Since then my Fetch TV set top box has failed the replacement set may as well join the first one, i watch 5 seconds of fetch TV and then 60 minutes of nothing. And I pay $30 a month for that service. What a crock of excrement iinet. Since you merged with that other shonky telco your service is totally CRAP. I guess Telstra is looking good again

Signed up two years ago and service was great. Went to change over to nbn account and asked them to match their competitors pricing. They do not do that, and i have received three roundabout phone calls in the last 24 hours being told the same thing.

They have outsourced and went down the drain. Avoid! Signed up with Belong for a lower charge, a discount and higher speed, figure that out?

Complete incompetence. I been with iiNet for over 22 years and they have just been getting worse and worse. They used to have one of the best customer service, but those days are long gone.

I called their Sales Team for a connection to my new house in September and they didn't process the Order. I emailed them and they didn't reply. When I called them, they just tell there was a system issue and they will escalate the matter but that all they can tell me, if I want an update I will need to call them in 1-5days.

After 1.5months and many emails and telephone calls, I finally got a installation date. I called them to confirm if all my email address and telephone number will be moved. Guess what.. the phone number wont be ported and I have to start the whole process again.

If I didn't need my iiNet email addresses, I would have just gone with another company long ago. On top of that I am on their 100mbps plan at my current address (fibre to the premises), and I barely get 30mbps during peak times.

So for all new potential customers, you are better off elsewhere..

-IiNet finally managed to move my netphone number to my "new" nbn account. I am not sure why it is a new account, when i move house, all other information and details remain the same.

-New problem now is that they haven't moved my email accounts (iiNet can have multiple email address per account) to my new service. I emailed them on 04/12/2019. When they finally emailed me back on 08/12/2019, they asked if I requested my email accounts to be moved. I just replied to them on 09/12/2019, lets see if they can fix this problem this year...

I can not ever fault the internet connection . All through the time i had ADSL2 i had a brilliant connection and it has stayed brilliant after changing to NBN. I recommend iinet for all internet connections. .

Having been with iiNet,( previously Adam Internet) for 10 years, I was happy to change to their NBN service. Experiencing a few too many unexplained drop outs, and difficulties connecting to the service on some occasions,I contacted iiNet. The staff were very helpful, monitoring my internet problems, and resolving them all within a short time frame. I am happy to stay an iiNet customer, and urge any who need a fast, reliable service, to give iiNet a call.

Now since being taken over by totally pathetic groupies have had the worst experience ever, even worse than telstra - can you believe that? Consistently waiting over 50 minutes when calling "customer service", told will be called back and never have, even spoke with a "customer service" rep (csr) who said the previous csr did not exist (???). You have got to be kidding me! From a 5 start to a pathetic monstar. Sad but true.

Been a "customer" for 2 months, but have not yet got any actual service. My DSL only became available a few days ago after weeks of being told I had it, and my phones are still registering with Telstra.
I have received invoices for service I don't get, and now get disconnection warnings etc.
Worst carrier we have been with and we are in the process I reporting them to the Ombudsman.
It is utterly disgraceful as we are a business and our lines are all messed up and we are being charge by two carriers now essentially for two services.

It s almost one 1 month it s not connected yet and thy asking now for 5 working days to be connected

Now they extended to 5 working day

So after being with iinet for nearly 8 years, the contract before our current one which we were on for 2 years was over charging us $20 a month FOR 2 YEARS! we got $89 Compensation. The internet was dead for 2 weeks and we got a $20 compensation. Now we have a plan for the right price I assume and it's now 3x quicker than what it was. The customer service didn't provide any answers after 7 calls and not getting back to me 3 times for when the internet was dead for 2 weeks. However i'm giving it 2 stars for the fact that we got shaved 2 days before it reset so i called up and they gave us a free $10 10GB data thing which I was pretty happy about aha :)

I cannot thank iiNet staffers enough for the great service I received on the phone. I noticed that I had built a lot of credit in my account and thought that I would ask for some back. I spoke to a gentleman ( Ivhan ) in payments and he advised me that I was in the wrong area and put my call through to a young lady that was very polite and explained to me how the process worked and ensured me the payment would be made within 3 working days of it being approved by management, in which it was. I only wish that I had remembered that young lady s name. Thank you iiNet, great service!

Horrendous. Only got the router 4 weeks after signing up and being connected, despite chasing up twice. 3 hours on the phone (2 phone calls) trying to get the internet to work but they couldn't so I cancelled the account. Have spent a further 2 hours on the phone to 4 different representatives trying to get my refund but they keep 'following up and will get back to me'. Awful, awful customer service.

I would give these zero stars if had the choice. You think the over seas customer service is bad, try going into the shop!!! They say sorry while questioning you and antagonizing you. Rude and i wish I didn't sign a contract. Never again! I never want to deal with these people again! Blaming a faulty product on me and trying to say I have to pay for a 6 month old modem which they supplied and has a 24 month warranty. Absolutely useless!!!!!

We have called in excess of 10 times over the last month to get our NBN set up. 3 times we have had someone pick up the call, heard background noise then been hung up on. We have also been told twice that we will be transfered and have then been hung up on.

Beyond rediculous.
